Sylvester70:in my family we don't collect bride price and many people don't these days so next ![]() |
macherie1:the mumu above says if you have equal rights with your colleagues you will lose respect for men can you imagine this is the daftest thing i've ever heard |
bloodyBLOGGER:Clearly you are sick, cooking is the joy of a woman so she should be turned into a cook at work if she wanted a job as a cook she would have gotten one. i have never seen a man getting called from his office or in a meeting to go put on the generator so what crap are you on about. so the fact that a woman has equal rights with her colleagues means blah blah at home what the heck you talking about it it not a normal thing for her to be equal to her colleagues She spent the same years in school with them but shouldn'tlmao, , everyone is talking this albino is putting mouth (no offense to albinos jare) Freeze you are a retard, why is it that once you mention gender equality the only thing these simple minded people think about is marriage? not once did this ignorant clown talk about the pertinent issues the bill is seeking to address. who cares if you marry a feminist ? who is even talking about marriage here? instead of wasting your days writing stupid articles about other people's business how about you first go and find out what gender equality is?Any man that is afraid of a woman standing up to him is a weakling but we already know that about Freeze anyway. You have to marry a weak woman, no woman with half a brain can listen to the diarrhea that comes out of your mouth on a daily basis. Please do yourself a favor and marry a woman with the IQ of a biscuit just like you . Chai he's ex tried. Whoever cursed this man should please forgive him and release him o have the same rights because? so you insecure twats want to keep women subservient everywhere lmao you are dreaming. when a woman is the owner of the company and superior to everyone that means she gives her husband attitude abi so all women must be inferior in the office regardless of qualification you are ill . Also clearly you don't know what respect is, so having equal rights as men will make her lose respect, do you disrespect other men because you have the same rights ![]() concerning inheritance, which stupid tradition. most of these so called tradition where put in place to cheat women. why didnt you keep killing twins? and all the other nasty traditions. that is why you lot a backward, you are simply an insecure man thats afraid women will overtake you and its already happening. At the end of the day you can only run your mouth at your wife at home you dont dare try rubbish with your female boss Also you are nothing but a hypocrite , this tradition is okay riht but when northerners tell you its their tradition to marry little girls you say they should move away from that backward tradition but you can keep yours right since it helps you cheat your sisters Pathetictalking about landlords please that happens regularly, ask any agent and he'll tell you that many landlords tell them ahead sef |
Jakpon:He's a tiger on twitter but a cat in the Senate. the guy and the gullible people he deceives are clowns |
and some mumus will say APC is the problem listen to what this evil people are asking for ![]() |
sukkot:is that not the same Omotola you people were hailing when she said she doesn't believe in gender equality and the man is the head and blah blah i thought she was the correct African wife then that is what i was saying these women have learnt to come out and tell you they dont believe in gender equality since that's what most of you love to hear, what they do in their homes is a different matter keep acting for yourselves and demonizing the women who are real instead. Nigerian men love pretenders same way this same Olori many here called Ashewo is now the ideal wife since she's told you what you want to hear ![]() |
Charly68:do you really think gender equality is about who cooks in the house truly if you want to hide something from a black man just put it in a book! on every page of this tread many people have explained over and over again that gender equality is not about marriage yet you refuse to even read not to talk of understanding. if this is how the so called educated youths think then Nigeria has a long way to go o The first thing a reasonable person does before contributing to a discussion is to educate himself about what the topic is |
IyfeNamikaze:no one is talking about when theres a will but when there no will and the family wants to cheat the female children. in the absence of a will inheritance must be shared among all the children. No all children must be able to inherit from both parents. That so called custom is just to cheat the women because the men tended to have more properties seeing that many sef won't even allow the wife to do any substantial work so which property. If there's no ulterior motive nothing stops all children from inheriting from both parents. Yes the law does way in on inheritance especially when theres no will and once the gender equality bill is in place it will further help women to fight for their right. |
Maximus85:Gender equality is not about marriage! Can't you people read you don't even know what gender equality is about yet you're attacking her. all we are saying is the only man a woman is asked to submit to is her husband and not every man out there. in society everyone is equal and must have equal rights irrespective of gender. |
sukkot:you're joking right? The Bayelsa State Governor came out to say himself that 90% of their women are breadwinners and you'll be suprised that it cuts across the whole country. Which man will tell you his wife is teh breadwinner, even the ones here that their wives feed and cloth will be here making noise ![]() |
cococandy:Very true, she's no different from the Olori. women like them and many here just pander to what their men want to hear. they just want to be hailed as good "African" wives whereas many of them are not even practicing what they say. Omotola said she doesn't believe in gender equality and the husband is blah blah and women should take care of their homes and blah yet the same Omotola later revealed that its the husband that goes to the market does that sound like something a so called tradition woman would do? The same way Olori says she's not equal to men but she managed to get more divorces than men sef if not for women rights would she as a 2ce divorced woman be able to talk in public . is multiple divorces part of the so called African tradition she's selling ![]() These women will say whatever they think Nigerian men want to hear . What they practice is another issue ![]() |
foladara777:The women i know personally that are in abusive marriages and staying are sucessful women. in fact one of them is the primary breadwinner, she's the one who even bought the husband his car, pays rent, school fees e.t.c yet even when she was 8months pregnant this man was beating her and she's still there because she's afraid of people judging her, shes afraid of society discriminating against her as a divorcee so instead she stays |
sceyd:If you read your Bible you will see that the only man a woman is asked to submit to is her husband . gender equality is not about marriage. outside of the home Everyone is equal and must be given equal rights regardless of gender. That's wht we are talking about so how does that make her a hypocrite ![]() |
sukkot:i don't know where you live, in mean in this same Country where many women are breadwinners The thing is in Nigeria because of the men's ego the women will pretend to outsiders that he's the one paying. she can give him the money in the car sef just to protect the so called ego ![]() |
cococandy:Thanks the ignorance is shocking but honestly its tiring. Nigerians dont read, it's been said a billion times that it has nothing to do with marriage and yet the next person will still be talking about how she submits to her husband ![]() |
sukkot:the problem is the kind of women you are moving with, if not for poverty mentality in Nigeria what is the big deal about paying for lunch you like and move with the traditional girls so thats why their thinking is like that |
IyfeNamikaze:see your mouth like tradition was killing of twins not justified as tradition go and kill twins now and say its tradition and see if you won't go to jail was female genital mutation not excused as tradition? those traditions were put in place to cheat women and this bill will change all that. Laws supersede your yeye evil traditions . once a law is in place that you must not discriminated based on gender anyone trying to keep a woman away from her share of her fathers property will be dealth with by the law. in some places male children don't inherit their fathers properties? really then who inherits it? k have never heard of such please mention the place see how you are happy that women are being cheated out of their fathers properties so you can cheat your sisters abi the so called stronger sex always trying to take advantage of the supposedly weaker sex |
amtaken:There is no law in place against gender discrimination right now so even if a woman goes to court and the family say its the custom since the Dad didn't leave a will she won't have a real legal leg to stand on. where theres no law theres no crime and that is why it must be spelt out .Abroad you can't be asking stupid questions about someones gender or marital status for things like renting a home and even employment because there are clearly defined laws in place and everyone knows the consequences of such discrimination. Gender equality does not mention anyone gender, its simply saying no one must be denied oppourtunities based on their gender so it applies to both. Its only more relevant to women in these society because women tend to be the ones discriminated against. Ministry of women is absolute crap so we dont need that or ministry of men. Nigerian politicians only came up with that to deceive women that their interests are being looked after when clearly we can see those ministries active nothing and are not needed. |
oshaosha2014:no one is trying to belittle men , like i said it has nothing to even do with marriages which is why its so frustrating when people keep going on about submission and co. its equality because we are talking about equal opportunities |
Excellentmind:that's not true, when a women gets up and says she's interested the in-laws will first say don't allow her female politicians are prostitutes when she starts campaigning voters will not care about her qualification but marital status while they wouldn't do the same to the men running with her. then you'll have the women are not meant to rule group. So yes for a woman to achieve that she ends up having to overcome many , many more hurdles than her male counterparts and thats why many are discouraged. |
Beremx:The most irritating part is all these bimbos that don't have anything in their brain beyond marriage. we are talking about important issues affecting women who can't fight for themselves and all these ones care about is my husband this and that. They really think the law is interested who washes plates in their houses or put on the generator ![]() |
amtaken:Is there a law that rapes women or children? why is there a law against it? People do those things becuse they don't know better and the same way they thought sacrificing twins was the right thing. laws are there to protect the rights of people especially so that there will be consequences for going against the law. blah blah, throw husbands luggage out don't you have anything in your brain outside of marriage how many times will one tell you gender equality is not about marriage no one cares if you kneel down to feed your husband we are talking about rights in the society. when there are laws in place that means a woman can sue any landlord that denies her based on gender. A woman can fight for her right to her fathers property in court. those are the things the bill is addressing, not everything in life is about marriage. expand your mind |
Beremx:Are you minding the hypocrites, the same woman they were calling Ashewo months ago as long as you say they are superior you are the ish lol that's why some women spew nonesense so that men can see them as wife material since that's their only ambition in life ![]() |
one thing that is clear from the comments here is that the Nigerian educational system is very lacking if so called educated women and men don't even know what gender equality is about how do we then want to explain to the villagers.Black people try and read and educate yourself before commenting on an issue. The Olori should have done that and she would have realized no one is talking about her marriage. |
oshaosha2014:Gender equality bill is not the same as divorce laws. No one is talking about who gets what in divorce here and in Nigeria women don't get zilch not even child support most divorced women here take care of the children single handedly so its not even relevant here. examples of gender discrimination; do you know in many parts of Nigeria a woman is not allowed to inherit property from her father simply because shes a woman so her brothers will share and even if the woman helped her father build it while alive she will not be given a dime. is that fair?Do you know that many landlords do not rent to single women? they will be asking her to go and bring a man! will they ask a single man to go and bring a woman? when teh gender equality bill is passed people will be able to sue such landlords. in many parts of Nigeria parents will still choose to send the son to school first over the daughter simply because shes a girl? There are so many instances where women are discriminated against based on gender |
amtaken:please try and educate yourself on gender equality. Gender equality is not about marriage, no one is going to pass a law to see who washes the plates or cooks. Gender equality is talking about the larger society, equal rights to education, equal pay for the same job, not discriminating based on gender e.g saying a woman can't inherit property. |
bluestone2015:That because you were given the opportunities so you are actually supporting Uche. If your father had not sent you to school but only sent your brothers instead because" afterall you are a girl" will you have had those opportunities? thats the reality of many girls in this country. Gender equality is about equal opportunities which you had but unfortunately many girls out there do not have that and thats what the bill is for. laws are to protect the weak and disadvantaged in the society. The little girl who cant fight for herself so its our duty to fight for her just like someone fought for your right to vote, go to school, drive and such. |
Excellentmind:she's only a helpmate to her husband not every other man on the road. she is equal to every other man, that is what we are talking about. your daughter is equal to your son and though you may give them them different chores you must ensure they get equal opportunities |
oshaosha2014:you people should take time to read about the bill. its not about marriages but the generally society e.g office, school and such. why should a woman not be allowed to inherit property from her father? those are the things we are talking about. the law is not interested with who wears the pants in your house |
stingbreed:we dont have a problem with any of that. most women pay bills in their homes and many are breadwinners sef. no one needs you to open door when my arm is not broken and weaker vessel for what when girls will pass you in school and women will be your superiors at work. |
[quote author=bebe2 post=46696676]she don manage go marry mexican she is now the role model for our naija girls. u need to look at ur culture and adjust accordingly , this internet era has done more evil than good. if u marry a good man that loves u, u wont need all this equal rubbish, because no one will be treated as a sub. i am not equal to my husand and my kids are not equal to me. my hubby wears the crown, so wen i say to my my oga say '' NO,i cant go to that party '' i say it with pride. he is the head.[/quote Madam stop being ignorant Gender equality is not about marriage! is your son superior to your daughter? they many have different roles but do you give them equal chances? thats what gender equality is about |
bebe2:So many ignorant women and men here. Gender equality is not about marriage but the society. The only man the Bible asks a woman to submit to is her husband, outside of that she is equal to every other man or woman. gender equality is talking about equal rights in society and not discriminating based on gender e.g Landlords not renting to single women but they will rent to single men! places in Nigeria where women cant inherit from their father just because shes a woman! You lot focus too much on marriage which is why you think everything is about marriage. imagine a woman in a meeting with her male colleagues and then the boss will ask her to go and make tea just because she's a woman despite the fact that their are junior male colleagues present That is the kind of crap we are talking about. if the women before didnt fight for your right you would not even have had a chance to go to school not to talk of getting a job. if the world was full of women like you women would not have rights to vote or drive now because you would have just agreed that yes because men know better. |

can you imagine
if she wanted a job as a cook she would have gotten one. i have never seen a man getting called from his office or in a meeting to go put on the generator so what crap are you on about. so the fact that a woman has equal rights with her colleagues means blah blah at home
so all women must be inferior in the office regardless of qualification
same way this same Olori many here called Ashewo is now the ideal wife since she's told you what you want to hear
