6certs from Florence
2years care giving experience
5years driver's license
BSc biochemistry
5years work experience in the pharmaceuticals
Etc....
I can go on and on.

The best response I have gotten is to come to UK first then reach out, but I need COS. No interviews yet instead it's love letters!!!

Based on experience, the training certificate nursing/care homes do ask for are majorly;
Care certificate (very important)

Manual handling (mandatory)

Safeguarding- in all my interviews and that of some friends, questions do come out from here. E.g. what is safeguarding, types of abuse, scenario questions on agitation, etc

Hello, when you get your sponsorship is it only the COS number that you get from the employer or he also gives you a sponsor license number to apply? I am asking because for student visa you get the sponsor license number and your CAS number.

Finally got my COS today from company A. However, they did not tick maintenance and won't be providing accomdation. Anyway, I will just tell company B to cancel the application. Thanks guys

It seems UK schools are already having greenlight on how academic program will be run for September intake. I personally have gotten a mail from Birmingham City university and USW on how academic activities will be carried out starting from September.

Birmingham City university was more explicit and clear saying most majority of learning will be on campus learning and the school intend to put into consideration social distancing and other measures in place.

This is also similar to what USW said and I noticed someone also talked about the information he/she got from Bournemouth university.

Cost of living depends on how you spend but as a self funding student, you can manage to live less than £600 monthly.
For jobs, upload Yur CV on job site reed.co.uk,totaljobs.com,cv-library.co.uk e.t.c to apply for jobs.
Cheap apartments, search spareroom.co.uk for double rooms or Zoopla.co.uk for studio/1bedroom flat. For flats, just be aware that your monthly additional bills will be over £300(water, energy, council tax, Internet e.t.c)

Una no go read previous threads to read answers on these exact questions, you will just jump and pass to ask your own.

Take time and read from page 1 or previous part 3. You will find an exact answer or something very similar to your question. Especially Sheffield to be specific. At least several people have talked about life in Sheffield at different times.

Stop waiting to be spoon fed all the time.

For UK there is no sequence . It is absolutely fine if a couple with no child apply at the same time or at the different times. What important is that you meet the financial requirements

If you have the finances then applying together or separately makes no difference so anyone is fine. Personally if I have the money then I would apply together

Infact the rule is that if any student is planning to carry dependents along, both parents must apply for visa, to ensure proper management and care for the children. So it is possible and also very compulsory.

Most questions (especially about English Language requirement) are BEST answered by the prospective school. Different schools have different English language requirements. Even within the same Department or Division in the same school, the English language requirements may differ.

Do not, I repeat, do not allow ANY charlatan on this forum to give you the impression that you are wasting money if you register for an exams. What you should just do is contact your prospective school YOURSELF.

Some courses may accept WASSCE, some may not.
Some may accept a letter to show your studies have been in English Language, some may not.
Some may require IELTS, others have different requirements.


Bottom line: Do NOT listen to any wannabe who gives you a blanket statement that IELTS is waste of money.

Sheffield Hallam University are also giving automatic £2,000 to Sep 2020 & Jan 2021 all self-funded African students for postgraduate studies. They offered me unconditional admission offer this week with £2,000.
