Murewaa: Thanks to all that answered my various questions here. I am now in the UK. Is there any store one can get cheap items? As all I'm seeing around is over expensive o. Which are in the UK? Stores that have affordable items are; Aldi Tesco Asda Poundland If you can’t afford new clothes or furnitures, you can go to charity stores. To get things for free including furnitures, bicycles, etc, download “trash nothing” on either Apple store or playstore. Then select your locations. You’ll be seeing notifications of people that want to give out things for free. |

Fearjah: Thank you so much for taking your time to guide me! Very clear guidelines.
Please, I'm a complete novice on this matter. Just one more question, at the bolded :
Which website or online certificate programs can i obtain? I mean approved website(s) i can go to obtain certificates.
Based on experience, the training certificate nursing/care homes do ask for are majorly; Care certificate (very important)
Manual handling (mandatory)
Safeguarding- in all my interviews and that of some friends, questions do come out from here. E.g. what is safeguarding, types of abuse, scenario questions on agitation, etc
Health and safety |

I am asking because for student visa you get the sponsor license number and your CAS number. My employer sent me my cos pdf document that entails everything including occupation code, job title, salary, etc |

Uzland: Awwn... I rejoice with you. You're luck it finally worked out - mostly because you're already in the UK. A lot of people who're outside of the UK have been applying since last year without success yet. Some people in the UK are still looking for health care sectors that’ll sponsor them but haven’t seen for months. Everything is grace of God |

Mikeval001: It seems UK schools are already having greenlight on how academic program will be run for September intake. I personally have gotten a mail from Birmingham City university and USW on how academic activities will be carried out starting from September.
Birmingham City university was more explicit and clear saying most majority of learning will be on campus learning and the school intend to put into consideration social distancing and other measures in place.
This is also similar to what USW said and I noticed someone also talked about the information he/she got from Bournemouth university. Same with Sheffield Hallam University. |

Phenmeson: Cost of living depends on how you spend but as a self funding student, you can manage to live less than £600 monthly. For jobs, upload Yur CV on job site reed.co.uk,totaljobs.com,cv-library.co.uk e.t.c to apply for jobs. Cheap apartments, search spareroom.co.uk for double rooms or Zoopla.co.uk for studio/1bedroom flat. For flats, just be aware that your monthly additional bills will be over £300(water, energy, council tax, Internet e.t.c) Thanks and God bless. I appreciate |

Skymoore1004: So google did not give you the answer? Previous threads did not give you the answer too? You probably have poor research skills.
Anyway sorry ma no vex, Happy Ramadan Kareem! You’re very silly for saying that. I make good research. I googled about Sheffield cost of living and I saw it. But I didn’t see anything about Sheffield cost of living and student jobs in previous and current thread Mr talk talk. It was mostly Whales, Scotland, Coventry. I’m not asking you the question (because you know nothing about it. Instead I’m asking the good learned people that studied there or are living there. So Skymoore kindly keep quiet |

Skymoore1004: Anyone can tell me about Huddersfield? Anyone can tell me about Bournemouth? Anyone can tell me about Sheffield? Anyone can tell me about Oxford? Anyone going to Togo? Cotonu nko?
Una no go read previous threads to read answers on these exact questions, you will just jump and pass to ask your own.
Take time and read from page 1 or previous part 3. You will find an exact answer or something very similar to your question. Especially Sheffield to be specific. At least several people have talked about life in Sheffield at different times.
Stop waiting to be spoon fed all the time. I’m not waiting to be spoon fed at all. I’ve googled and checked. I checked previous thread and this present one but couldn’t find. It’s not compulsory for you to reply. I’m asking people that are there presently or studied there the question. I just don’t ask questions. I make inquiries before asking questions. |

LagosismyHome: For UK there is no sequence . It is absolutely fine if a couple with no child apply at the same time or at the different times. What important is that you meet the financial requirements
If you have the finances then applying together or separately makes no difference so anyone is fine. Personally if I have the money then I would apply together Thanks for your response. I appreciate |

mamacajah: Infact the rule is that if any student is planning to carry dependents along, both parents must apply for visa, to ensure proper management and care for the children. So it is possible and also very compulsory. Please what about married couples without any child yet? Is it advisable for them to apply at the same time (if wife is the main applicant while husband is dependent)? |

Skymoore1004: Drink water dear. All work and no play makes jack a dunso. Nairalanders too like to take things serious & to heart, hence “arguments”.
Shey you got admitted with your HND & we congratulated you? Did the argument cover your shine or testimony? No.
Relax How does it correlate? People are here to learn from people’s experiences or ask questions. Personally I love to joke alot. But the arguments on this thread since yesterday is not a joke. There’s huge difference between joke and argument |

LaaJiblik: Dear prospective Applicant, Most questions (especially about English Language requirement) are BEST answered by the prospective school. Different schools have different English language requirements. Even within the same Department or Division in the same school, the English language requirements may differ.
Do not, I repeat, do not allow ANY charlatan on this forum to give you the impression that you are wasting money if you register for an exams. What you should just do is contact your prospective school YOURSELF.
Some courses may accept WASSCE, some may not. Some may accept a letter to show your studies have been in English Language, some may not. Some may require IELTS, others have different requirements.
Bottom line: Do NOT listen to any wannabe who gives you a blanket statement that IELTS is waste of money. Do you have issues with hosey? Why are you not understanding her simple English? There’s nothing bad in what she said. Please do not derail this thread abeg. I’m getting tired of all the arguments on this thread since yesterday |

Hello everyone! I have testimony to share. I am a HND graduate. I thought I can’t apply for direct masters degree, so decided to apply for a year top up degree at University of Sunderland (which I was given conditional offer).
Two weeks later something came into my mind that I should be able to apply for masters degree program because of my significant years of work experience. Later that day someone mentioned Sheffield Hallam University on this thread. I googled the institution and found out that they can accept HND as long as you have significant work experience in that field. I applied for MSC Accounting and Finance (Although I first checked their modules to be sure it’s what will add value to my career) on their website and was given Unconditional offer letter to study in their university (MSc Accounting and finance Jan 2021 session).
I also read about the University’s alumni reviews about the institution online and saw that 90% were positive news. |

They offered me unconditional admission offer this week with £2,000. |

All I am saying is that if this person has not insulted you in any form, you should not abuse his right to post.
