I wish we can post pictures of our food just before eating it. I think it will help ginger some people and make the thread more active. ‎

This sounds like a great idea.

@Fvine,
I would so love to see your daily meals. I'm trying to limit my carbs but it's a real struggle.
Contacted the Weightloss video poster, her drive with the video files got damaged *sad face*
She still has some on her computer but her area is a bit too far for me right now. One of these days maybe.

Currently trying out intermittent fasting and it's a great feeling. Anyone who's interested can read more here:  ‎http://www.mercola.com/infographics/intermittent-fasting.htm

Travel / Re: Gbagada To Abeokuta by tollu: 4:45pm On Mar 26, 2016
Depends on what part of Gbagada you are. Let's use Mobil filling station as take off point.
You just drive straight on. To Ojodu Berger, to RCCG camp Ibafo till you get to Sagamu interchange. I believe this is the first over head bridge and interchange you will get to on the express.

Take the 2nd exit on the interchange on your right, climb the bridge and drive straight down. You will approach a round about, don't use it, just keep going straight.

Feels like I'm rambling on. Just park and ask whenever you're unsure. It's a pretty straightforward journey.

Have a safe trip.

Hi Salsera,

Thanks for the concern. She has been moved to the hospital since last week. Since we have been able to pay half of the cost, the operation is expected to be performed between 14 - 20, the doctors are monitoring her to decide which day is best for her.

Thank God. Still a stretch but we are on course. It is well with her.

Family / Re: Urgent Advice by tollu: 1:51pm On Feb 18, 2016
Lol.

It is the responsibility of a wayward child's parents to bear the cross of their failures.
Don't let any crazy parents pressurise you unnecessarily. You have to be bold, Hard and firm now.

No marriage except you want to marry their daughter. Make she born for her papa house, then you do DNA, that is just so you can be responsible to the child if it is yours.

If their wahala is too much, change you number and location for like a month. Confide in your parents, they should not take in the girl in your absence.

You've been very silly for sleeping with an underage girl. Infact very very foo.lish agbaya behaviour.

Time for her parents to step to the plate.
If they take legal action against you, you deserve it. Agbaya.

BUT PLEASE, don't get married just because you gave a girl belle. She won't be the first and she won't be the last. The punishment for sleeping with underage is for a while, that of marrying with a burdened heart? Is forever. Make you no go strangle the girl in future come serve jail term for murder.

Be calm, this will surely pass.

This is such a depressing thread.

Ujoan's post reflects most of my opinion, albeit in a much nicer way than I would have put it.

treese:
But who are these women or ladies that choose and prefer a fellow woman's husband to single men. I see some messages on my husband's phone smtimes and I just smile. "Suo was just checking on you" checking on him to know if his wife isn't doing a good job or what. You know it's heart aching. To all the single girls out there that prefer married men. Many wives are unhappy, you have broken some homes, you are at the verge of breaking some, some couples even quarel /fight everyday juat because you are in the picture. Let the change begin with you. LEAVE married men alone. Even if they come to you be WISE in your decision remembering you will be hurting ur fellow woman by your approval. let the change begin with us women.

LOL? ? ?
All blame should go to the cheating man who has chosen to find excitement in the chats and texts of single girls.
What if the men are even cheating with fellow married women nko? What then?‎

Yeah, Shekarau struck me as being quite passionate and intelligent during the 2011 debates. One statement he made has stuck with me till date "Sincerity of purpose". That statement became my personal mantra and has helped me keep focus on things I set out to do.

I can only imagine what it would achieve if our leaders adopted it as their mantra also.

Per being the next president. Nah, that won't fly. My only reason: Tribe.

Politics / Re: Why Is Fuel #87 In The North And #120 - #130 In The East? by tollu: 10:18am On Jan 13, 2016
It can only be because of the so called business men in charge. They must make heavy profit afterall, na dem sabi business pass.
The filling station operators and co.

There is absolutely NO way that I would believe there is a separate pricing system for marketers from the east.
Before we start yelling marginalization and similar crap.
They all buy from the same source so question your marketers well, question your leaders well. angry

Interesting!
"Nigeria is an importing nation" talk yielding results, levies and taxes would contribute to the nation's pot.

Let's continue importing as usual and gradually shed light on the exportation angle. We will become an exporting nation soon enough.

"Ma je n ku'na Baba, mu mi de le ooo"

‎Please keep the meals coming. Haven't gotten around to making or tweaking one yet.
There might be a 3 week period of rapid weight loss for me because of Church fasting period. I'm looking forward to the spiritual benefits not so much the rapid weight loss because easy come and go.

My goals are to lose 15KG and to make healthy living a part of me. The weight loss is secondary, a life of health and vitality - PRIMARY FOCUS.

Drkul:

Dont really know how often, but I do take it most morning before breakfast.
Ginger has lots of health benefits from digestion of food, abdorption of essential nutrients, for cold detoxification and increases rate of metabolism.
High metabolism increases chance of weight loss.
Cheers

I'm currently into green tea and ginger in the mornings. Sometimes I add lime and drink it almost hot.
Crushed garlic in the evenings.

Next stop, making sobo without sugar and drinking it chilled every other day.

There's nothing wrong with a man being useful in his own house, HOWEVER, it does seem funny to be sent on errands for a spouse's sibling.

I'm trying to picture myself being told to do this and that for my husband's younger/brother or sister while the sibling crosses legs and sips kunu... I don't know oh.

On the other hand, Esther - The Sibling might be a well known thief/olojukokoro to your brother and wife thus they couldn't leave her to get things on her own Perhaps your SIL too wasn't feeling too good at that time. There's always a reason for everything.

Anyways,
1. Don't go to people's houses without calling first, it's irritating.

2. Your brother might or might not be under a spell. Further "observation" required.

An import driven society has never been the way for an economy to grow.

Look into other things you can do that will fetch you money.

Let Ecclesiastes 11:6 be your guide. wink

Things will regularise soon enough though, don't worry guys.

In a country where people provide their own power. This frigging sucks.
