Thanks for your response bro, I have just paid WES fees and got a reference number. I cannot find a reference to the faxing option on their page to fax in my certificate. Could you please point me to where I can find it, including their fax number. Do I have to contact them before faxing.

BTW I also have original transcripts which I requested sometime ago but didn't use, its still sealed up in the envelop.

Kindly advice me.
Thanks

Sending your certificate is part of their requirements. Faxing rather than courier is just an easier way. If you want to mail them your transcript though, you can as well include your certificate in the package I guess.

Hello ma'am, I'm in the process of requesting for my transcript at OOU. Could you please explain how I can request that WES should mail my school after faxing my Certificate to them? Can I send you a PM as well please?

Thanks in advance

You don't need to make that request. You just fax them your certificate. Can't remember the number now but just Google WES fax or something, it should be on their website too. If I find it, I'll update. Sorry, no pm

Hi, please did you send the WES form which was meant to be filled in by the school. How did you handle this?

Please advise.

That's for the transcript request. If you're using fax, just fax them your certificate.

Please anyone ever processed transcript from Olabisi Onabanjo university OOU? I tried using etx-ng and the cost is 92,000naira. Please anyone tried processing from school directly? If yes kindly share contact of who can be of help.

If you're using WES, I strongly suggest you fax them your certificate, wait for them to let you know it has been sent to osu, visit osu and then have them respond to the email. That's all, you don't even need your transcript.
My husband did his that way and his verification is complete.

Till this moment, the transcript has not been sent. We just wasted 50k on that crappy school.

If you're using IQAS though, you need the transcript. Sorry, I don't have a contact.

Goodday Nairlanders

Please I want o know oh! I came for vacation in December and got PCC, and then returned to Saudi (country or residence), also got Saudi PCC and submitted.

Now some peeps on CV forum are saying it is not valid because I was in the country while I got PCC while some others are saying it doesn't matter. I checked cic website and you know how them be, it's not straightforward.

So I am advised by some that since I am in Saudi now, I should quickly get a new PCC sent from naija. Abeg guys is there anyone applying from outside naija that did same like me. What's the update. I dread rejection.

The Naija PCC is valid for 3 months (I believe) so if you got it in December, you'll be needing a new one anyways.

For real, trust me am not lazy when it comes to things like this.

I've been reading, but do I need to say that most of the pages that has info and clues are 2 years ago.

Not to also mention that some of the keywords used can be confusing.

Anyways thanks for replying, and am still reading, googling.

Regards

I see what you mean but rest assured almost everything remains relevant. The only things I can think of that are kinda new are: dropping CRS scores and IQAS now preferred to WES.

Oh God! I've been on this thread for over a day read all pages like there is no tomorrow.

The more I try to comprehend one term, or one abbreviation, the more I see another one to read and Google. my eyes are already itching me reading through hundreds of pages shocked shocked

Please, I beg can you just be my consultant? or any Guru in the house, please I need directions.

I am new. wanting to do Federal Skilled Workers (FSW) - Information system analyst & consultant (2171).

where do I go from here??

I just need to ask some step by step questions in other not to make any mistakes, I believe experience matters a lot in this.

Trust me, I won't trouble you.

I know you weren't talking to me but I will talk to you. If you have truly read the thread, you will not need anybody to tell you how to get started or start asking for one on one consultations.
I read the thread also, got all the information necessary and my first post here was to share my IELTS results.

It is so exhausting following this thread, seeing updates and discovering the new talks are things that have been over flogged. Little wonder some of the pros have now left.

Y'all need to invest time and energy into this process or just go ahead and get an agent.

This thread must not go to the dogs with irrelevancies. If the oldies were anything like me, the only response new folks would get to tired questions is "Read from the beginning". They have the patience of saints! Thank God for little mercies huh?

@tol lu..kindly share how u prepared to for the test and materials...Thanks in anticipation..

Intrepid01:

Congrats....Pls share how you prepared and the preparation materials you used. Thanks.

I used ieltsliz.com and YouTube videos basically and practiced a number of tests on both platforms.

I hate to write but know I can, so didn't actually write anything during preparations but one letter. But read tips on writing and watched videos too.

Bottom line, read tips, practiced samples and God ultimately.

Just to share a couple of tips

Listening: Focus, concentrate, if you miss a beat here, you can easily lose track of the whole section.
Practice a lot and then practice some more. This will help you know your weak areas and how to really listen per IELTS.

Reading: Skim the passages, read the questions and then look for the answers. You need to understand the question well in order to know what you're looking for.

Speaking: Just be natural. There's nothing to it and your 68k is part of the examiner's salary so don't be intimidated.
I mean, we've been speaking English for donkey years.

Writing: There's a format to help your train of thought.
4 paragraphs - Introduction, statement one, statement two and finally conclusion.

IELTS Liz and YouTube will help greatly with building on these tips.
All the best!

Thanks to Zandora who started the thread and everyone who has been contributing so far, (we'll miss you Dupsyshoo!) I have no questions at this time. You guys have been amazing.

IELTS results came in today and I'm super excited!
Listening: 8.5
Reading: 9.0
Writing: 7.5
Speaking: 7.5

Waiting for UNILAG to gimme my certificate o, still not ready and I'm using IQAS for the evaluation so I must provide a copy.
Anyways, proceeded with the transcript request. I believe all things will fall into place in God's own time.

Just wanted to check in. Will try to be more regular.

Travel / Re: Before You Relocate To Ghana, read This! by tollu: 5:38pm On Jun 18, 2016
This would have been an OK thread but for the denigrating words you used in describing the Ghanaians.
Whatever gave you the right to call a whole nationality those brainless names?

The same people who you claim to have lived among and made a living? Cover your head in shame you mean spirited person.

raymondhill:
Are you interested in relocating to Ghana? Are you seriuosly affected by the economic hardship in Nigeria that you believe that Ghana will be a better alternative? Do you want to live and do business in Ghana?
Then, I have good news for you. It is possible to relocate in Ghana if you have the right knowledge that will facilitate your easy and successful relocation.
Before you decide to relocate, I must share a few points with you. I believe I am qualified to share this information having lived and made money in Ghana for about 10 years. I have also conducted several Nigerian-Ghana business investment tours, one of which was covered by Ovation West Africa magazine published by Chief Dele Momodu. Now,I want you to know that:
- Ghana is not as economically powerful as Nigeria. There are also more money making opportunities in Nigeria than Ghana.Despite that,Ghana is a land fertile with immense untapped opportunities.
- Most Nigerians are more intelligent, creative and entrepreneurial-minded than Ghanaians who are mostly naive, lazy and less ambitious. Most foreigners who relocate to Ghana and are focused, hardworking and law abiding always fare far better financially than the Ghanaians. I have proven it in my life and I have friends who have done same.
- Most Ghanaians are sluggish,small-minded and superstitious and do not necessarily flow with the fast pace thinking mindset of Nigerians. So,you have to know how to communicate with them to get what you want. You can live there for 20 years and make your money if you know what you are doing. Just, make sure you avoid breaking the laws of the land.
- Ghana has stable electricity and the peaceful country was once listed as the 6th safest country in the world.
- It is the gateway to West Africa. Therefore,a lot of foreign investors come through Ghana to Nigeria.
- There are business opportunities which Nigerians are taking advantage of. It is not every type of business you can make money from as a Nigerian.
I must warn here that for every Nigerian man to succeed in Ghana, they must be careful of there women since they can constitute a huge source of distraction.
But, before you decide to relocate to Ghana, have you prayed about it? Have you sought the face of the Lord? If you are ready to relocate, then go ahead.

however this act has put a stain on our cloth as a nation, some school of thought will even ask u to shut up and their take was that how will the custom and immigration people survive if not for those runs they do
should we now destroy the collective image of 170million people because of few people?

Thanks Dear. I don't like the energy and ambience in the group and that of the group owner as well. I thought I could just do what you're doing but I just couldn't bear all the drama, her high-handedness and arrogance. I told myserlf i can do all my learnings from Ketochef, LCHF Tips and Recipes and other online blogs and websites. The owner acts like a mini god that must be worshipped & I detest that kind of attitude. So I just respected myself & left the group. I absolutely love Ketochef group, their way and their activities. I also love that they have a shop in Nigeria.

You can buy Liquid Stevia from Ketochef or powdered Stevia from GNC Shop at Opebi or any in your city but I learnt that d liquid Stevia is much better. Ketochef also sells other commodities that this lady doesn't. Am actually interested in Psyllium Husk. Ketochef doesn't have that. I plan on visiting the Ketochef shop on Friday when I'll be in Ikeja. Happy new week.

I feel you totally. The Ketochef group is heaps of fun and easier to fall in love with.
I got ketosticks from Ketochef sometime back, will visit again soon. Thanks for the heads up.

Any idea on where on can find erythritol? Still weighing my options between that and stevia.

Awww @Fvine, sorry about the failure you experienced with IF and thanks for sharing your meals.
Will try put of a couple of my meals in future.

My own IF is not hard o, simply the moderate one you have decided to commence i.e no breakfast. I try not to eat anything after 8pm (sometimes 6) and nothing but water before 12am. We'll see how that works out by the end of the month. Lost 1kg already. Still on the matter...
