Honestly, I just love your maturity no matter the level of insults, you have tried to maintain your cool, but please I will still urge you to oblige the SuperMods and Mods on the derailers and abusers on your thread since those of us who are Pro-Jonathan hardly starts the 'trouble' perhaps this should keep these trolls off our thread! donroxy: Hmmm,Interesting !!!

Tomakints,

It doesn't matter whether GEJ controls not only PDP's NWC But the whole PDP..........

PDP is just a Name, tis the PEOPLE that constitute PDP that matters therefore it is either they slug it out with GEJ or dump the party for Him to a better platform !!! ........this happens most times in Nigeria politics (I distate it though ) !!!!

And we shall see d result ...... The Northern Oligarchy are no doubt ''PDP'' .........they called SW to power.......same SW played what he had to play and called UMYA(NW) to Power with Anointed SS by His side .......to either take over when He took over or 2015(after 8years) !!!

As for Tinubu............Quote me,Tinubu is not a Lord in SouthWest who can alpha and omegally determine who get what, when and how ..........

Tinubu only play the Card that people of SW wanted else he fielded wrong choice in Ondo and got defeated !!!

As for Tinubu,SouthWest and Jonathan ..........wether Tinubu or No Tinubu Jonathan would still had SW cuz this people are sympathetic to hardship suffered via the UMYA cabals, shoeless campaign(first of its kind),NigerDelta struggle as well as Chance to the Minority .........Tinubu was used to have a ''clean-shittt'' in SW .......Every damn man knows SW would vote GEJ ......as they(SW) fought the UMYA cabals for GEJ !!!

Atleast,Same Tinubu has tested his popularity in Ondo state and gotten result and unless His(Tinubu) Candidates are the best among the worst same Ondo scenario would still play out in whole SW .......!!!

Thereby, unless the real politicians are carried along........Otueke road seems smoother !!!
Do you know that one interesting thing played out in the last 2 elections in the history of this country and that is; the total votes garnered from the South-South was more than the total collated at the entire NorthWest and this tells you something, South-South are now getting more involved in the political scheme of things in Nigeria. Jonathan is a South-South indigene and this same game plan will favour him massively! Nigerian politics is gradually shifting away from the Northern Oligarchy manipulations and this is what Jonathan is benefitting from massively, and this is what the Northerners are fighting tooth and nail to grab back by force but you know in life there is what we call pay-back time, the Northerners had their times and they wasted lots of opportunities to better the lives of their poor ones which is even playing against them and let me reveal this to you, POWER is not ready to make an inroad back to the North, whether Yorubas team up with the Northerners, it will still tilt towards a Southerner, this is the gospel truth my friend!

donroxy: What is Nigerian Political Permutation other than ''ETHNO-RELIGIOUS CARD'', ''BULLYING'' as well as (worst case scenarios) ''MANIPULATING ELECTIONS VIA INEC'' or MANIPULATING JUDICIARY

I do not see GEJ as Powerful and Charismatic enough to tagged the three(3) outa the bolded above in one swoop ...........lest HE convinced the Cabals (most esp, the Northern Oligarchy) ........He would have a good ride to Otueke grin come 2015 !!! ..........

His (GEJ) best bet is to carry Nigerians along by engaging in Mouth widening projects ...........The cabals could be defeated by the people as shown in 2011 !!!

With APC @ the Corner,it seems the Northern Cabals has alternative even when ''Executive Powers'' stop them in the 'PDP' .......and the ''feofle'' not widely by HIS side as 2011 ........It seems the way to Otueke grin is now smoother !!!

Nonetheless, GEJ might even has seen the writings on the wall and chicken-out BUT used his utmost executive power to cabalise Himself, seek compromise ......and blessed his own (NOT HIM) anointed candidate !!!

If HE fails to trend softly without compromises.......Another Civil War is a Good Bet !!
Now this is a good point you have raised, Jonathan still has one full year (January - December 2014) to amend his ways before the electorates and his party strong supporters before the D-day! Remember, he schemed out Obasanjo strangle hold on the jugular of the party, so he is now the leader of the party, that means he can manipulate his way within the National Working Committee of the party, the money is there to spread around and he is a 'GOOD WATCHER' that one thing you can't take from Jonathan, he surrounded himself more with his people (SS) which is good for him, he knows when to approach his opponents and still have his way, (remember how he approached Tinubu and still garner strong votes from Lagos (Tinubu's constituency)! Donroxy, understand the matter, of course, things look bad for Jonathan presently especially in the SouthWest and Core North, but common this is 2013, we still have 2014 before the D-day, and going by the antecedents of Jonathan to amend his ways and behaved maturely before the judgment day, he will still have his way no matter what! What I just stated here is how politics is being run in Nigeria and that is the FACT! cool

karl max: The world's 10 worst cities to live in, according to the Economist Intelligence Unit global “liveability” study, which looks at how “tolerable” it is to live in a particular place given its crime levels, threat of conflict, quality of medical care, levels of censorship, temperature, schools and transport links.

7. Tripoli, Libya (42.cool

Well, I bunked in Ogba, and in my over 20 something years in that place there has been structural improvements but definitely the environmental challenges have been very poor, I used to stay very close to a naturally prepared 'closed circuit forest' where I can watch all those animals (monkeys, squirrels, snakes, birds of different species, and other mammals giving me a special treat whenever I can afford to watch them but now their habitats have been destroyed and all I see there now are 'concrete nests' we call houses, with no detailed plan from the authorities. Yes, I will go with this report on their assessment of Lagos, however the influx of migrants from the rural settings is too much for Lagos to bear, if not checked, the crime rate, uncleanness, insecurities and other challenges can only get higher which could be disastrous on the long run!

There is nothing personal there, we are all giving our views and analysis, nobody is interested in insulting the Yoruba tribe, not me but I wont pretend either to give my opinion even if it is not popular. You don't have to like my views on this subject but it is important that you respect, that's all.
Quit debating with the potential tribalist who always want to sound more Yoruba than Oduduwa it's of no use! donroxy: Na wah for you,Tomakint.........

The Op has said it all,Great Analysis.......

The only region that ''may'' actually vote ''ethno-religiously'' without considering performance of Jonathan is the SOUTHEAST and probably SouthSouth !!!

Jonathan flying power could still be broken in his Region SOUTHSOUTH with the internal tussle in PDP(Obj,Govs forum,Northern Oligarchy's presidential interest) and presentation of credible candidate by APC while taking into consideration religion and ethnic sensitivity..........!!!

Also,GEJ performances has been marred by genuine criticism which may thus mar Him in SW(Xtian and Muslim bloc) and NC(Xtian and Muslim Bloc) ....... Core North is a no go Area wether by Performance or No Performance-Ethnic card is the real thing in core north !!!

GEJ is not as Popular,Charismatic or 'Powerful' as likes of OBJ thereby He cannot unilaterally permutate 2015 even if he control all units of PDP unless Northern/PDP Oligarchy were convinced and Backed Him Up !!!

:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

As for APC, I adviced the party to present somebody from core north ,not possibly Buhari OR Buhari(the crowd is needed) and a Southsoutherner/Easterner(Oshiomole/Ngige/Rochas) :.........

SW/ ''NC (Not too so)'' would still vote enmass for ''CREDIBLE TEAM'' REGARDLESS OF ETHNIC OR RELIGION but same can not be said of SE/core north/ SS(not always) ........

By Credible Team(President and VP) led by Core North and SS/SE.........APC would have Core North(NW-NE),SW,significant votes in NC, and possibly satisfactory votes from SE/SS ......

Atleast this would be enough to challenge PDP.........APC should also focused great deal on National Assemble .....a very Good avenue to challenge the 'PDP' assumed it(PDP) Emerged ''Executive'' !!!

Team Jonathan do not have what it takes to permutate/Combinate 2015........!!!

Billyonaire: Tribalism, Regionalism and Nepotism are systemic dysfunctions in ANY Democracy, however, its a virture in the Nigerian Opposition (APC wanna-be).
Its a FAT shame!
Meanwhile, One man - One Vote, is what it boils down to when it comes to Democracy. So Yoruba or any other tribe is mute when it comes to Democracy. Those who propagate tribalism, do so, because "Crows Fly in Group" but Eagles Fly Alone. Political Crows have no individual strength but seek to gather as many weaklings as possible to make a single impact.

There is NO bloc vote called Yoruba Vote. So in essence, GEJ will eventually emerge PDP's Candidate for 2015 Elections and I am yet to see 'that' person in 'APC wanna be' that has to prowess to win GEJ in a Free and Fair Election. Let's be fair, there is NO ONE out there. GEJ wins, others mourn.

Sincere 9gerian: "On healthcare, Jonathan gets an F. If a Nigerian gets cancer today and can't afford private treatment, he will die. Even obtaining aspirin in a public hospital can prove impossible"- Remi Adekoya

In fact there's nothing to disprove. The whole article is RUBBISH.

Take the health care system for instance, only a fool can assess it in two or three sentences like was done in the report. There are layers of health care system in Nigeria. The FG is in charge of the tertiary hospitals while the states, general hospitals. The primary health centres, which is closer to the people is controlled by either state govt or local govts. In Borno for instance, the federal govt owns the University of Maiduguri teaching hospital (though some of the teaching hospitals have outlets) but the rest of the hospitals in the state is controlled by either state or local govt. The FG can only equip its own hospital while the states do same to theirs. If Aspirin is not available in a state hospital, do we blame GEJ for that? So what was the author really assessing? In fact, I doubt if there's any hospital where basic drugs such as Aspirin will be lacking except maybe local govt controlled hospitals.

Even the statement that "If a Nigerian gets cancer today and can't afford private treatment..." is ridiculous. What form of cancer was the writer refering to? I'm aware that some forms of cancer can be managed in public hospitals (tertiary). But generally, cancer is difficult to manage even in advanced countries.

As a matter of fact, if the writer really wanted to assess the performance of the health sector in the last few years, notwithstanding the division of labour in ownership of hospitals, the proper thing to do was to compare health indicators, like maternal mortality rate, under-5 mortality rate, infant mortality rate, life expectancy, etc within the last few years.

I can go on to dissect other SENSELESS assessment in the article but that will be complete waste of time because the whole article is mere outpouring emotions and sentiments. I only did this much because of the challenge from you. End of story
You dey mind the 'uncircumcised Philistines' here, I can't count the numbers of times successful surgical operations have been carried out across the teaching hospitals of federal universities! A milestone was reached few years back when a successful operation was carried out on siamese twins conjoined at their bellies at Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospital! Anyway, I am not pertubed about the incoherency and lack of steam in this thread since it was created by a well known demented dingbat undecided

I am from Ijaw, I am not tribal in anything but trust me if the Northerners want war, they will get it, not minding their numbers. In my little residence at ph, I have seen few militants battled the Nigerian army for 1day... It was a death match, helicopters hovered the skys(I thought that was my last day on earth). A lot of these so called activists haven't experienced the perils of war. Living in mansions, they thinks if a civil war should start they will be spared...
For those of you not thinking, analyse what the economy of Nigeria will become if a civil war starts... If u no get money travel abroad, you are on your own. It boils down to the simple fact; the politicians and wealthy people will travel out of the country, the poor men will fight for a new nation. The rich men will travel back in and monopolize the nation.
