Oshiomole is a "MESSIAH" in Edo State. The statement you made shows you know next to nothing about what's happening in Edo State. The people of Edo state are impressed with his performance so far!!
He was talking about the 'paradigm shift' in the character of the Oshiomole we used to know way back then in d NLC days now tilting towards a policy that was anti-masses in view and not the Edo Politics u are talking about ![]() |
kofoshi: bukkyade too.Just like that! Tomakint is now PointB, seriously dayokanu (Ogbomosho Goat) school of Almajiri is really booming. Indeed, the gravity of you guys stu.pidity must be in exabytes ![]() |
alj harem:Really? ![]() |
donedy: Just keep deceiving yourself by classifying any reasonable person as Igbo. it's obvious that the only people jumping and scratching themselves about the book are some, not all, deluded Yoruba. For goodness, I expected Hausa and Fulani to be the people acting this way.Stop wasting ur time replyin them, those are the set of bigots that bring shame to the Yoruba race with their uncouth behaviours, ignore them once and for all ![]() |
At the end of the day the day, Oshiomole was able to get them to his side. What makes you think Keyamo cannot do the same if he becomes the Governor?? Remember that in Politics THERE ARE NO PERMANENT ENEMIES. So should Keyamo win, the Legislators will in the interest of their Political careers shift their loyalty to him. Most will end up de-camping to the ruling party. So I don't see the house posing a serious problem..
The more reason we pray he gets there first, remember, 'different strokes for different folks' Oshiomole may be lucky, but Keyamo may not! Personally, I don't have issues with Keyamo, just my own piece of views on a warped system of government that is milking us dry! https://www.nairaland.com/964274/tale-country-multi-coloured-system-government |
Hmmmm, Keyamo don dey eye National cake. Oshiomole started same way, pro-masses, activism and ish and now he is an active member of the cabal pushing for complete subsidy removal. To know a man , put him in the position of Power.
God bless you bro, that's the exact picture I was trying to teach here, they thought I just left beer parlour ![]() |
Funny dude!!! When Oshiomole became Governor, the majority in the house of assembly were PDP. Did that stop him from delivering??
Haahhahhahha you must be a clown, those you called PDP in the house, are just by mouth, he (Oshiomole) was able to buy them over, but picture a scenario where he couldn't achieve that, are you new to this country? ![]() |
Willy7: You sound too naive and uneducated.Permit me to say,you not really endowed upstairs. How old are you?Its often said its better to keep quiet and be thought a fool, than to speak up and clear all doubts.Do you have any evidence of corruption against Keyamo?Have you worked for him or done business with him and he refused paying you?Do you really know who Keyamo is,or you just want to talk because you have free mb on your phone? So many kids on nairaland. That you dont trust yourself doesnt mean you should see others through the same lense ok?Instead of you to be happy that people like Keyamo are giving politics a shot,in a country where corruption and politics have bcome lovebirds, you are disparaging him.Its a shame.Son, I thought I would never have every reason to come across dolts like you, how dare you gate-crashed into a post, you are not invited in, I have seen many intelligent ‘silverbacks and chimps’ I am afraid your intelligence cannot be compared to theirs, I hope you don’t feel insulted? You can keep your warped views to yourself ![]() |
The first step in changing the system is putting in the right people who have the capacity to effect such changes. Interestingly, going by his antecedents, Keyamo seems to be such a person. Also note that one doesn't have to be a saint to develop a state. The likes of Fashola, Oshiomole, Chime, Akpabio etc MAY have a stain or two but one cannot deny the transformation these people have brought to their states...
You still don't get it do you? If Keyamo emerges for instance, perhaps under a different party (besides PDP) who are going to be in charge of Delta State House of Assembly? what about the local government chairmen and councillors? how much can he spend to upstage the PDP,if he emerges, before you know it he is back in square one! Look deeply at this system of government (Presidential System) and tell me how you can really stamp out corruption (the hydra-headed monster ravishing us for the past 50 years) from the polity without being ruthless and the question is are our leaders ready for that? ![]() |
I am still of the opinion that if there is a way the Pretender-In-Command can be made to answer for his greed where our once beloved ‘Bakassi’ was turned into an irredenta based on his naïve judgment just to placate the blood suckers in his government, truly, Gowon seems clueless about what was before him. One thing is clear in all this, Gowon was a used-and-dumped property during the ill-fated Nigerian-Biafran war if not, as the Head of State of a government that partook in that war by now he ought to have released series of books, memoirs, detailing his parts during the war from a truism angle. For over forty years, Gowon is yet to talk of something new in that war which I know he is still holding closely to his chest for fear of “open convictions” except for the usual, old school psychobabbles we have been hearing time and again. While others were busy exonerating their “dark activities” during the war, Achebe (whose other names Chinua means “God Fights My Battle”) was busy preparing his all-time best seller, “There Was A Country” (what an imaginative name for a book) which is all over the world now and may be heading for a Pulitzer Award soon! The 333-page book is loaded and to a large extent quite unbiased and very revealing, those who are not contented with its contents are challenged to write their rebuttals. |
ROSSIKE: The ''youths'' are even more corrupt than the leaders. You need to listen to some of these ''youths'' when they tell you how much they would 'hammer' if they ever smelt public office.Omo like say you dey read my mind sef, these youths get red eyes ooo, won ran yan men ![]() |
Mr. Man why argue back and forth?? Someone who has been law-abiding and honest and has even been in the fore-front of the fight against corruption indicates interest in running for office and this is what you said: And your reason is: Meaning you're already condemning him as one who's only interested in enriching himself. Sadly your condemnation is mischievously baseless and unwarranted. So if there's anyone who seems to be claiming to possess the "potentiometer of measuring people's innate actions" it's YOU. Yes you've measured Keyamo and have found him wanting already!!
May be that's what you take my post to be, but permit me to elucidate further that, this system of government will make even the assumed saints amidst us to steal. This system of government is really wasteful and allow for more loopholes |
ilugunboy: Agbaya..Baba niyen kade pe lori, ki bata pelese, ki iru kere pelowo, ki eri erigi fi jobi daadaa ![]() |
eGuerrilla: All you needed to do was clarify what you meant, for the avoidance of doubt.Fixed ![]() |
HNosegbe: You two get a room already.Er....nope , I guess they are about to ![]() |
I evaluate people based on what is known (past and present) and not what is unknown (future). Interestingly, the future is determined by our current and past actions. What I know about Keyamo is that he's an Anti-Corruption crusader. I cannot guarantee how he'll act when faced with "Real Money" but his past and current actions suggest that should he become a Governor, he'd be People-Oriented and transparent. Aside from the fact that like all humans he's prone to being corrupt can you point to anything(his action) that suggests that he'd change if given power??
It seems you have the potentiometer of measuring people's innate actions, anyway let's wait and see. My position is, until he is privileged to be governor, till then! |
alj harem: hmmm Ezeuche. I told you I know Igbos and how each one of them speak on NairalandSorry I had to laugh at the bolded, you alone and perhaps your alter ego (dayokanu) know who is this and that on nairaland, very pathetic indeed, no wonder you talk like a typical double-mouthed dolt, ok keep at it while I am watching the open display of your madness and stu.pidity in the sidelines! Ezeuche ko, Eze nkaku ni, terrible liar!! ![]()
