I made a promise never to get carried away with some useless post on Nairaland front page by clicking on them, and I must give myself kudos for achieving that especially that of Tonto Dike, Regina Daniels and the likes because they are of know intellectual value to me, you and us all.. But to the mods, bloggers and the likes that bring them here, they gain from financially.. I did it you can also, instead of clicking on such news and complaining bitterly about the importance of the thrash on Frontpage just overlook it like I have done and will always do and you will have your peace of mind... BBNaija is next, I clicked on just 0.0001% of the BBNaija topics that made Frontpage last year and this year I want to maintain a clean sheet.. So help me God... If its not explorers thread and its likes then I am not clicking. You must not click also...

Most trucks on the road are Tankers.. If your loading manifest hasn't come out, remain at the base..

Private individuals can open truck parks and charge the drivers for parking there. But it's not the governments responsibility to provide truck parks for trailers which are private businesses.

Your truck can be parked at a yard and the owner/driver can hang around the ports and solicit business.

The Nigerian trucking logistics industry is not the largest in the world so why cant we regulate them properly?

That space cant contain 1/4 of the trucks parked on the roads and bridges in Apapa and Surulere..

It's not the Governments job to provide parks for those Trucks. Every Truck Owner should have a yard from where the Truck should proceed to the loading area on an appointed date to load. Or provide a Park outside Lagos and coordinate them from there.

The issuance of the Nigeria Passport with 10-year validity has begun,

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) started issuing it on Monday.

The 64-page passport is produced with enhanced polycarbonate. It is also embedded with the National Identity Number.

The new passport costs N70,000.

Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari launched the new passport on January 15, 2019.

The new document is part of the passport reform approved by the Federal Government to improve the quality and security of the travel document as well as reduce the incidence of damage, counterfeit, and forgery.

According to the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), it is compulsory for passport applicants to have the Nigeria Identification Number (NIN). To achieve that, the management of NIS had set up a desk at the passport office where individuals could register for NIN.

According to the NIS Public Relations Officer, DCI Sunday James, “The National Identity Number is compulsory for all applicants of the new document. To make it easy for applicants, the Nigeria Immigration Service has provided space for the National Identity Management Commission at the service headquarters, Abuja to register applicants and issue to them the NIN.

“The public are advised not to rush for the new booklet as the new enhanced passport will run concurrently with the old one.”

The NIS spokesman further said applicants holding passports with more than six months validity are not eligible for the new booklet except in the case of damage, change of data and those whose booklets were exhausted.

James advised applicants to pay online or directly to the banks situated within the passport offices; he also advised them against patronising touts “as all the service windows are equipped to meet their needs.”

He added that the Comptroller-General of Immigration Service, Muhammad Babandede, had directed passport offices at state commands to continue to issue the old booklet while the service headquarters Abuja would issue the new passport.

Even though I'm a born again Christian, i think the government is right by raiding such clubs and hotels for women operating as strippers and prostitutes. Christianity gives too much freedom to women and it's the reason why prostitution in Nigeria is predominant amongst Christian women and southerners especially. When Muslims advocate for hijab and decent dressing for their women, we Christians thinks they're denying them freedom but it is has proven that Islamic tenets on women brings about good morals. How many muslim women are involved in prostitution and other seductive dressings? Majority of prostitutes outside the shores of the country are from Edo and other southern women. We Christians have a lot to emulate from our Muslim counterparts to build a sane society. Let's support the use of head covers and unseductive veils among Christian women. Sometimes i wish i was born in a Muslim home
