Christianity Etc › Re: "Marry Your Best Friend" - Bishop Chris Kwakpovwe Speaks On His Marital Journey by tony9k: 5:43pm On Jul 05, 2020 |
Mcoutureankara: Renowned publisher of Our Daily Manna devotional, Bishop Chris E Kwakpovwe has opened about his marital journey so far and also shared some tips on having a blissful marriage.
Excerpts from the interview:
MEANING OF MARRIAGE
Marriage is the union of a man and a woman joined by God not man. However, Not all marraiges are JOINED BY GOD. SOME ARE JOINED BY MEN via wrong choices. SOME ARE EVEN JOINED BY OCCULTIC LOVE PORTIONS, etc.
By the grace of God and via the ODM - OUR DAILY MANNA - mission worldwide, I have seen hundreds confess that they actually used charms to marry thier spouses. As I am led we have to use prayers to break such charms but I cannot reveal what happened to such marriages after such prohetic prayer encounters. Some things are ministerial secrets I cannot reveal on social media.
MARRYING A PASTOR
Papa God has kept us going. Also, marriage is work by both parties. Getting married to a Man of God may be hard because He may have to resort to his God sometimes for decisions. Can you explain why ABRAHAM Did not inform SARAH that he was going to sacrifice ISAAC? NOT ALL DECISIONS ARE TAKEN ON THE MARITAL BED. SOME ARE TAKEN IN THE SECRET PLACE WITH GOD. So it takes a woman who understands SPIRITUAL principles to be able to marry a CALLED MAN. NOT JUST A CHURCH MAN because not all pastors or ministers are truly called. Only God can judge that.
MARITAL ADVICE
Marry your friend; don't marry anybody just because they are Christian sistersor brothers. MARRY YOUR FRIEND. Being a Christian is a CRUCIAL FACTOR but Not the ONLY FACTOR. MARRIAGE IS A MARATHON AND NOT A 100 METERS SHORT RACE. MARRY YOUR FRIEND.*
DESCRIBING HIS WIFE, REV. FLORA KWAKPOVWE.
She's a woman that can tolerate me and my "25 hours" a day busy lifestyle.
CELEBRATING OVER 20 YEARS OF MARRIAGE
I will be teaching young ones the right facts about HAPPY MARRIAGE SECRETS and HOW TO COPE WITH MARITAL ACCIDENTS/INJURIES BASED ON THE WORD OF GOD and NOT ON CHURCH- MAN-MADE DOCTRINES. LIFE HAPPENS! We are not perfect but we can Win. 30th of June was our marriage anniversary by God's grace .
DIVORCE
YES, LIFE HAPPENS AND NOBODY IS ABOVE A MISTAKE, BUT We or THE BIBLE don't encourage divorce. HOWEVER, marriage is not a life sentence. There are VERY CLEAR BUT FEW EXCEPTIONAL and ALLOWED CASES from the WORD OF GOD. THE CHURCH HAS FAILED TO TEACH ON LIFE AFTER A DIVORCE because MANY PASTORS ARE EITHER IGNORANT on that subject OR THEY ARE AFRAID TO STEP ON TOES WHO HAVE TAUGHT WRONG MARITAL CHURCH AND MAN- CREATED DOCTRINES FOR YEARS. Questions like "How to cope as a Single MUM OR DAD", CAN I RE-MARRY? etc, These are the areas we have been HELPING millions worldwide. If your church or friends threw you out because of a divorce or being a single mum, etc, contact us ..........BUT ALWAYS REMEMBER THAT whether single, married, divorced or remarried, our goal is HEAVEN AT LAST IN LINE WITH THE WRITTEN, UNDILUTED AND UNBREAKABLE WORD OF GOD. Always Remember too that A KNOCKDOWN IS NOT A KNOCKOUT.
IMPACT OF THE CHURCH ON MARRIAGE
The Church has helped stabilize the marriage instutution, but there are alot of POPULIST but very wrong CHURCH-MAN- MADE DOCTRINES (not the WORD OF GOD) still here and there that have kept millions in severe and "wicked" martial bondages. Coming from someone whose first wife let him after he was caught having an adulterous affair with the Church Secretary (the present wife) and has been involved in numerous extra marital affairs some which are in the public space. An atheist once said that some Pastors do not believe there is God hence they do whatever suits their fancy. |

SarkinYarki: She is in cape verde running hers Aviation business along side her father ..The wedding was a gold digging exercise from the onset and not one based on any form of love and we all remember Buhari was part of those who provided moral support for comrade Adams by attending the wedding What is your definition of true love. Does love have to be between a handsome young woman and a beutiful man a couple of years younger than hime; both graduates etc? Then you don't understand the meaning of love. Is the over 20 years marriage between Shade and Okoya based on true love? The reality is than love can be found in strange places. Is the young girl looking for a handsome young man with potentials looking for true love? Please don't speculate on love if you are not involved. |

luminouz: They will both undergo alcohol test. If they both carry more than the accepted limit in their bloodstreams, the guy goes scot free.
But you may have a case where there is video or cctv recording of him COERCING/FORCING her to drink, then sleeping with her afterwards. But in the doctors case, they got drunk together and no evidence of foul play or coercion was found. Oga the case happened in the uk. The fact that both of you were drunk does not exonerate rape. The important issue is if she gave consent which she couldn't have given when drunk, Also all the statements that she came from Nigeria. lived in her house and didn't report early are no excuses in the UK |
Crime › Re: Dr Olufunmilayo Responds To Bola Aseyan Rape Allegation – We Had Sex Twice by tony9k: 11:10am On Jul 01, 2020 |
Dobson43: It's very nice you pointed out the bone of contention here: consent. Under law, you are not supposed to violate a lady under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
Nobody made the assertion that the guy fed her alcohol. You made that. If he was that drunk, how did he manage to drive her back home? If he was able to coordinate his motor skills in driving her home then he should be able to understand that her consent was needed before he had sex with her. If he was that drunk then we should be reading about their auto accident or obituaries.
The other point to note is that the case, if it goes to court, will be decided in the UK, so it is dicey. All the points of living in his house for 4 months, sponsoring her visa and both being drunk will not hold water in the uk. the time frame is also irrelevant as people are being convicted of rate that happened 10 to 30 years ago.
The judge would simply determine if she gave her consent. The fact that she couldn.t have given consent under the influence of alcohol is a negative to the man. It is not that simple
We live in uncertain times and should get consent to avoid such stories such as this that touch.
What are we even debating about? We all know the lady just want to soil his reputation. How? They are adults. Agreed to meet. He sponsored her visa and trip over. Which would have come at a hefty price. Was she supposed to play hide and seek while with him? She cohabited with him for a period of 4months. They had another round of sex. He provided her with her basic needs. He paid her flight fare back. These circumstances collaborates the guys innocence.
But the excuse we were both drunk alone isn't enough. |

If a prostitute dies there is usually little or no investigation. The police are very aware of what's happening they know it's prostitutes dying that's why they are reluctant to act. This statement is wrong. It is only in "shit" countries that ptostitutes are not regarded as human beings. In most "normal" countries human life is sacred. In the UK the inverstigation of the murder of a prostitute is same as that of a government minister of state. There is fundamental human rights for all citizens. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: British MPs Vote Against Brexit Deal by tony9k: 11:24pm On Jan 15, 2019 |
Richdad50: If Brexit must happen, then it must be a hard Brexit. A total exit from Europe. Theresa wanted a Brexit that puts UK in the hands of bureaucratic Europe. Britain must take its future now or forever be slaves to globalists and migration hawks. She never listened to Trump's advice on Brexit and now she is going to pay with her political future. Good riddance.
#Richdad It is not as easy as that. The challenge is that the Brexit equation is now firmly in the House if Commons and there doesn't appear to be a majority for any of the options. The Labour Party would vote down any agreement as they would like to use it to force a general election. Is it not ironical that the rebels in the conservative who voted against the bill were both brexitiers and remainers. The brexities felt the proposal was not 'hard' enough while the remainers felt it was not 'soft' enough. Recall that ab initio most of the MPs were against Brexit. The situation is compounded by the arrogance of the EU creating the impression that the UK needs the EU more than the EU needs the UK. Maybe this crushing defeat will make the EU have a re-think. Finally if Theresa May had followed Trump's suggestion any emergent deal would have been similarly voted out. |

The speech reminds me of that made by then candidate Buhari. The reality is that virtually all Nigerian politicians of whatever persuasion are in politics primarily for their pockets and it is tragic for Nigerians. The challenge we have is that the opposition is not any better. Maybe the next discussion is to identify potential credible candidates. Do we have them? The political class in its entirety is primarily concerned with themselves and corruption is a common factor. As an illustration PMB made a big do about public declaration of assets and his action thereafter was nothing to write home about. Not only did he almost didn't want to declare it, the declaration when he did was so shallow saying that he did not know the location of his P H building. Compare this with President Yar'Adua who not only gave a detailed account and value of all his assets but also included that of his wife. He did not make as much fuss about public declaration of assets. While the revelation of wanton stealing that went on under Jonathan is shocking Buhari's treatment of the few corruption cases that inadvertently came to light has been nothing to write home about.
The conclusion is do we want to return the country to PDP the main opposition? Maybe what we should do is to ask questions, serious one at all levels of government. The social media could be a veritable arsenal in this regard. How many people are aware that the LASG is yet to implement the ' Freedom of information' process where government will be mandated to disclose details of government info including financial info on request? Corrected some typo. |
