News reaching me now suggests yoruba agberos and igbos are fighting at alaba. Got a call from my mum who resides there. Seems the agberos there are trying to take over collection of levies in the market just as they are trying to do at ladipo market.
I cant really say the genesis of todays fight. So please anyone around there should please update us on what is happening.I hearrd the army is on ground but i dont know how true that is. Some of us have loved ones residing in those areas.please
Mark my word they are just making noise

It's Hugh time Yoruba teach their kids the principle of dignity of labour

And to Igbo this is a good development... We should try and repatriate all money we make home

Kamasutra says : If you suck one nipple, the women herself offers the other one. And that was the origin of "buy one get one free"!
--------------------------
Before sex, you help each other get naked. After sex, you dress only yourself.
Moral: In life no one helps you once you're bleeped.
--------------------------
Success is like pregnancy. Everybody congratulates you but nobody knows how many times you got bleeped to achieve it.
--------------------------
What is the difference between frustration and satisfaction? What the Bleep! and What a Bleep!
--------------------------
Life is like a dick, sometimes it becomes hard for no reason.
-------------------------
Practical thought: A husband is supposed to make his wife's panties wet, not her eyes. A wife is supposed to make her husband's dick hard, not his life..!
-------------------------
When a lady is pregnant, all her friends touch her stomach ad say "Congrats!". But none of them come and touch the man's Penis and say "Well done!".
Moral: Hard work is never appreciated: Only result matter.

Dear readers please mature advice and no insult pls..

Am going throught a difficult time in my life and needed help badly, to cut the long story short, I met this man throught a friend i was living with, she introduce me to this guy saying he has money and he will be able to take care of me, I had no choice because I needed help and the guy has the money to give..

I started dating him and he gives me money a lot and promise to get me an accommodation which I did believe him of course. I got pregnant for him and he told me to keep the pregnancy which i refused but my girlfriend told me to keep it that he may even marry me. After five months plus, he started changing towards me and telling me he doesn't have money anymore. When I try to talk about the situation at hand, he gets angry and even tries to hit me..

He does not give me money anymore, he is always drinking and smoking.. I couldn't go for an abortion because I was scared and it's too late for abortion. I came home after service on sunday and found out that he was not at home and he has packed all his things and left an empty house for me. I cried throught out that day. Where am I going to start from with almost six months pregnancy? I later found out that he's married and he has 3 kids..

What am I going to do?. Pls advice..
All I can say is your stupid and desperate just like many Nigerian women

Your side chick, single mother above all after one

Live with your mistake

If you try to abort that child u will die

He was referring to the insult yoruba women always use to refer to Igbo girls when we all know it's not true. some yoruba girls just say igbo women are bearded to console themselves. I once met a yoruba lady at a store here in the U.S she looked so masculine and had prominent jaws and was cock-eyed too. (People has always told me that I am beautiful. I'm not boasting about it because I didn't create myself the way I am, and I also happen to be Igbo) You know what this lady told me? She said I looked yoruba and that she looked Igbo! can you believe that? The funny thing is that most Igbos I have met look more like me. I bursted out laughing when she said that because it made no sense to me that she assumed Igbo girl SHOULD look less beautiful than yoruba girls to the extent of telling me she was supposed to be Igbo while I should be yoruba. in a lot of cases that I have witnessed, it has been the other way round.
Igbo ladies have been wining all beauty peagents in Nigeria even miss world was once an Igbo lady called oluchi

I think most Yoruba ladies have this omo alata attitude and can be mouthy above all most are not my type. . they are too dark those that manage to be fair either bleached or have Igbo parents

I think their men realised this n making efforts to correct that ...ask coolitempa

PoliticsRe: The Return Of Tribalism To Nairaland by tonychristopher: 1:56pm On Sep 13, 2015
obailala:
While the general elections approached, I was really excited about the inexplicable disappearance of the sickening tribal arguments and insults between the Yorubas and Igbos which was a previous tradition on this forum. Everyone seemed to have pitched their tent with either the PDP or APC and while it lasted, we enjoyed a season free of the sickening tribal slurs. I always prayed we wouldn't go back to that horrible tradition but unfortunately, it seems we couldn't even wait for the elections to be over.

The Igbos restarted by accusing the Yorubas of betrayal for teaming/conspiring with the Hausas to unseat their GEJ. This to me was a baseless accusation because there was never any agreement between both tribes to support GEJ. The Yorubas reserve a right to vote or support whoever they want; in 2011, they gave GEJ over 90% of their votes (even though they had their kinsman as his vice then). In 2015, probably due to GEJ's less than stellar performance, majority Yorubas (57%) shifted their support to GMB (even though 43% of the SW still stuck with and supported GEJ). I do not understand why this is regarded as betrayal leading to hostilities especially as no agreement was even signed between both tribes.

Then probably in response to the anger and accusations of the Igbos, the Yoruba Oba of Lagos made a misguided, inciting and insulting threat against the Igbos; a careless statement which may cost APC the Lagos state governorship and further fuel hatred between both tribes. Also, the recent misguided statement by Kunle Afolayan, a respected movie producer accusing and openly insulting Igbos of piracy has also not helped matters as it has just poured more fuel into a raging flame.

Now we seem to have been sunk back into an even deeper lagoon of hatred; the next dispensation of tribal battles on Nairaland could be really messy. How can this senseless battle be averted?

God help us!
Ur guilty of tribalism

Sir, the loyal ones are a fraction of their population, merely significant. When i was younger, i almost got the beating of my life because my Yoruba friend who started a fight ran away from battle and left me there with a group of boys. As a young man, you don't know how demoralized i felt when i saw my friend who i was supposedly fighting for racing to safety leaving me behind to clean his mess.

Surprisingly, i did not see it as a tribal thing then because i was too young to understand. It was when i grew older that i started seeing the truth about Yoruba treachery. The funny thing is, when i asked him why he ran away from his own fight, he said "i go call boys" but i did not see him with any boys when i came back. If i had died there, trust him to be the one to tell stories of how "WE" fought together and how i was his best friend ever.
Now I really understand your plight ....what of d you do afterwards the guys
CareerRe: Official Car For Assistant Manager, Nothing For The Manager by tonychristopher: 12:23pm On Sep 13, 2015
huangcheng:
Sir, Yorubas don't teach their children loyalty. They're after their stomach first, then loyalty comes a distant last. The worse is that they see treachery as an act of being smart which makes it even more sickening. When you look at Yoruba history from Afonja, Awolowo, Akintola, to the recent times, Tinubu, Obasanjo and FFK, you'll see a parallel with Yorubas and their treacherous tendency. A Yoruba man's loyalty cannot be assured, you can take that to the bank.

Abeg make i go relax.

Well they say experience is the best teacher. I'll leave you to experience the true Yoruba loyalty yourself. You probably haven't been noticing but from now on, look out for disloyal people around you. You'll be amazed.
I have experienced it but I did not attribute that to the tribe ... But coincidentally the experiences came from same set of tribe you mentioned but I still believe that there r good ones left

Nah Igbo people work hard to get to whatever position they attain. An Igbo man will never snitch, back-stab, jealous or hate his superior at the work place. The OP is a typical Yoruba man with the propensity to hate, envy and snitch on his boss and co-workers in his place of work.
Maybe that explains why they stood by Jonathan through thick and thin

It does a lot. It goes to show other unsuspecting people working with Yorubas that a Yoruba man cannot be trusted at the workplace. Before you know it, this Yoruba man will start visiting all kind of shrines in order to get his boss sacked and him promoted to his boss's office. If you're working with a Yoruba man right now, it will benefit you if you take my warning seriously because i have loads of experience to share with you.
Can you share these your loads of experience

But not all though ..that what I believe ...though I had a nasty experience but not all I repeat
