OK legally CU is owned by the Living Faith Church. As it is right now I only know of one building in CU that was built by Oyedepo therefore the remaining infrastructure is from the Church. I wrote an Article a while ago on why church universities are expensive here on Nairaland and I would implore you to read it. Also, almost all universities(Christian) I know are owned by the Church and not the Bishops.
As regards tuition the only problem would be if the Church were to profiteer from tuition fees-i hope u know CU is officially tagged non profit. The University hopes to profiteer inventually, but from commercialisation of its products and inventions or innovations.The university is also looking for ways to amplify IGR and cut down on Tuition but it isn't easy as the government doesn't offer any financial assistance to private universities.

Although, you've made efforts to make make the Church( Pentecostals) and the Bishop (owners) look different. But I can give 5 solid reasons, verifiable, that they are the same person. That concept of it belongs to all ( like in the 'Acts of the Apostles' days) can only be found in Roman Catholics and Most Orthodox Churches although not entirely true.
My bias towards the utterances and seemingly slave master model of the Proprietor of CU notwithstanding I look forward to CU becoming a true world class University and also affordable to majority of the Church members if it is true the Church built it. A good number of us trained in State/Federal schools see Private universities as easy way with the number of 1st class grads each year, the low admission requirements and the pamperings. It sure looks like if you can pay for tuition you can graduate with good grades.
But it seems Bishop Oyedepo in his wisdom is leading the change with his group of Universities. I will be glad to see that notion changed so I may also consider sending my children to Private Unis in future.

Good stuff from CU. I know the university also set aside another $10 million dollars to recruit international staff. I hope people understand that this cash is coming from the living faith church and not covenant university. The living faith church is really spending a lot of cash on CU this year.
The church has also budgeted another 1.6 billion for CU this year alone and that is why I laugh when someone says the church is making profit from CU.

In 2013 the church built a senate building worth 353 million naira and then 2016 the research center should be around 600 million naira but the most important thing is what they are doing now-funding research to top notch and recruiting best staff.
