Yeyenatu perhaps it is a lot easier 4u 2 stomach n digest cos of ur religious belief (I see ur signature n so I infer). However op stated quite clearly her husband is a christian (I didn't c wer she is not but I stand 2b corrected). Op can u insist dis lady stays outside ur home? Can u go ahead with dis agreement but insist on that?
Christianity EtcRe: Why I Published The TB Joshua Bribery Audio - Nicholas Ibekwe by touchmeder: 6:40pm On Sep 23, 2014
Oh what a man he is. We should all be proud of him. I don't know how many people that will remain this steadfast in a country like ours. Even I would not want to place my head on d chopping block. This man's action has shown us there is hope for Nigeria - there remain honorable men in Nigeria after all. Please stay safe brave man and to all who still don't get it, he gave an epic reply - he can't help u cos he is not a brain surgeon!
FamilyRe: A Thread For "Everything Polygamy"! by touchmeder: 10:30pm On Sep 22, 2014
I've not read a thread dis slowly in a long, long time. Trying to digest d story esp from op's point of view. I must also commend evy1 for their maturity on dis thread (it may not hv bin d case if op was d new wife LOL) I wish I could cheer u on or give practical advise as u go on dis journey but alas I can't (I don't hv d experience). So I read in sheer horror especially noting dis was not what u bargained 4 in d 1st place. I think u are incredibly brave 4sharing ur story. Perhaps other women in ur shoes can hv comforting or practicable solutions 4u. I don't think I can b half as brave as u tho. Oh my fragile heart would shatter. May u find peace n strength from God as u continue on dis ur journey.
RomanceRe: On Nigerian Women And (lack Of) Future Ambition by touchmeder: 9:15pm On Sep 22, 2014
rickkid: As a woman, you are the foundation of human civilisation, I.e a mother; the person who brings lives into existence. It is a woman's job to create and mould human beings, which is the most important job on the planet. It is also her job to take care of the home which those little humans live in. It is a man's job to provide the resources to make sure that those little beings and their mother are catered for. Full stop.
I know ur type n I say dis wit d greatest respect. Its ur type that would eventually wish they had a woman that was contributing something (no matter how small) towards d home. It is ur type that will love to be completely in charge, but will grumble about a woman who sits @home, cleaning, cooking and asking for everything up to salt n maggi money.
RomanceRe: On Nigerian Women And (lack Of) Future Ambition by touchmeder: 9:00pm On Sep 22, 2014
I don't know how some of us are interpreting what op has stated. I don't think she is saying marriage versus a successful independent woman. So let's not go picking one or the other. It is possible to have both (if you so desire). Let's not be tempted to make husband's house and kids our only goal with your numerous qualifications and business ideas sitting pretty n gathering dust. Don't get too comfortable n 4get ur dreams n aspirations u once had. Get up and do something, add value, make urself useful, make ur husband proud while you remain loyal and humble.

@tbaba I remember that thread. Good thing another opportunity has come again. Lol I am not from a polygamous home and have no intention in getting in 2 one. However I am curious about the lifestyle so m following this thread. To all practitioners, I hope u would be bold enuf 2 answer reasonable questions on dis thread.

It is so sad that NCC has decided to do nothing about this trend - that is part of their job.
TV/MoviesRe: How MTN Is Killing The Quality Of Project Fame West Africa With Greediness by touchmeder: 4:34pm On Sep 21, 2014
I agree wit d op. Shola's departure still remains a shock to me. How can you justify Ugo (I know he is good with d guitar and all) or Daniellea still being in d house n Shola is gone? Oh well its a platform @d end of d day. If ure good, winner or not you will still make it. Omawunmi Megbele is a good example...
Christianity EtcRe: What Man Of God Is Pastor Chris Oyakhilome - Femi Aribisala by touchmeder: 2:45pm On Sep 21, 2014
Stelvin101: No comment. I Can't judge an ordinary man not to mention a man of God tongue . God will surely handle him if he is a false prophet and replenish him if he is truly a man of God. Same goes for every other prophet.
Do u realize u are also a man of God and that both of u are created in the image and likeness of God? This spiritual servitude needs to stop. Jesus spoke with boldness 2d religious leaders of his days. The early apostles did d same without fear or favour. This day a child of God cannot even call to question a glaring wrong or immorality (COZA) against a man of God without the 'judge not' crew rushing in. I don't know how we are all reading this same bible sha.
Christianity EtcRe: Recording Of TB Joshua Talking To Journalists (Audio) by touchmeder: 10:08pm On Sep 20, 2014
Compliance: I just wonder why some folks just proceed to comment on Nairaland from a heart completely roasted by sheer biasness.

That audio clip doesn't portray bribe. Its very clear, he never talked of them twisting their reports to favor him.

This is Nigeria, you do that daily one way or the other.
Una go settle police, lecturers, project supervisors, helpers, bankers... Not always to bribe them to pervert their right judgement but as a sign of good gesture.

He that has never done this before should cast the first stone.

Mind you, I'm not defending prophet Joshua. Werin concine me?
So just because it is usual practise in Nigeria, is that an acceptable behaviour especially in a case where over 75 lives have been lost? Is that acceptable behaviour from your pastor or a man of God. What in God's name are some of you on about? Are we this blinded by religion and these men of God? Chai there remains hope for Nigeria ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Christianity EtcRe: Recording Of TB Joshua Talking To Journalists (Audio) by touchmeder: 10:00pm On Sep 20, 2014
This is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo sad but then again i am not really surprised, in my heart, I always knew something was not quite right about this man and his ministry...

And if you listen to that audio message and you think that is acceptable of any body, let alone man of God, then i feel truly sorry for you.
FamilyRe: Mum Said I Shouldn't Help Or Buy Anything For Dad Because He Abandoned Us. by touchmeder: 8:31am On Sep 19, 2014
I support Chaircover 100% on this one. I believe you are now an adult so whatever decision you take needs to be yours. Don't allow anyone push u around like a yoyo doll. If you want to give or have a meaningful relationship with your dad, go ahead. Don't rub it in your mother's face but if she finds out, respectfully stand your ground n explain your reasons to her. You didn't ask 2be born into the drama. They got together and while you understand the challenges your mother went thru, you have to be happy, live your life n do what your conscience tells u is right. I am afraid if u don't assert urself now, u may hv issues doing that in d future. Goodluck

MadCow1: Slaves... Lol.

That's one way to look at it..

But I think they voted wisely.. Staying with the brits now is the best amidst the current issues in the EU.
U are right. I bliv its the right choice 4,NOW. I still see them walking away in d future when they are more confident n tins are more settled.

HealthRe: Photos: Governor Fashola Hosts Some Ebola Survivors by touchmeder: 6:43am On Sep 19, 2014
We thank God for the survivors, its by his grace and grace alone they have been spared. We thank the Lagos state government that tackled this scourge with all seriousness. I don't want to imagine what would have been the case if this thing broke out somewhere else in Nigeria. Truly God loves us in this country.... RIP to those who didn't make it.
Jokes EtcRe: Which Of These Books Would You Buy First by touchmeder: 6:08pm On Sep 18, 2014
ZUBY77: This kind of topic is why corporate bodies refused to advertise on Nairaland by Linda Ikeji.
I beg make una drop this nonsense. No one writes about big or bulging male privates as much as Linda Ikeji does and the adverts still roll in. No one pushes gay/lesbianism stories as much as she does. Make una rest. A little joke never hurt anyone.
Op this got me laughing so hard grin cheesy grin cheesy cheesy grin grin grin grin cheesy grin wink smiley

Tex42: i can't believe Nland mods allowed her promote her blog her and at the same time defaming Nland.
the mods shouldn't have moved this thread to the front page in the first place.
You may be shocked Seun moved this himself. 4 ur information, he has also posted a comment on dis thread. I believe he is one of his greatest critics and he never hides from d fact that he is open to learning. U will agree with me that is unlike the regular Nigerian business owner. Having said that, I agree with some points by the original op. I think Nairaland needs more of a corporate face, I would like to c some of those heavy adverts adorning front page, I would like 2c zero tolerance to tribalism, spamming and any 419 business (I think he is doing well here tho). Some of us don't realise how much Nairaland is a treasure chest for Nigerians in the diaspora. We are talking wealth of information spanning various topics. Someone is talking teenagers only - u lie oh. Perhaps u live in the romance and dating section only. Have you ever followed a TEHN thread, gone to the auto or my all time favourite, property section? In all Seun is trying but can do better. Perhaps he needs the services of gurus in IT/business rebranding that can fashion out a road map for him n take Nairaland higher.
Foreign AffairsRe: Death toll of South Africans Killed In Nigeria Megachurch Collapse rises to 84 by touchmeder: 8:38pm On Sep 17, 2014
Those who are spiritually sound understand what is truly going on behind this rubble story.

RIP to the dead and my sincere condolence goes to the good people of South Africa not forgetting every other national involved in this senseless tragedy.
EducationRe: Egypt Air Wrongly Routed A Nigerian Student To Moldova by touchmeder: 9:42pm On Sep 13, 2014
Pathetic! Can the parents use the complaint page on ther website (if they have any) to lay a complaint. Anyways these Arab guys don't give a hoot about niceties or customer service sef so perhaps a lawyers letter should do the trick. At least the flight fare MUST be refunded.
FamilyRe: Violence: Again The Double Standards by touchmeder: 10:21pm On Sep 11, 2014
Every sexx needs to respect the other; woman respect your man/husband and hopefully his parents brought him up well to do the same.
However having said that, i can NEVER EVER EVER justify what this man did in this case. He had the choice of walking away but he choose to deliever that knockout punch. By the way did you see how she was pulled out of the elevator like a rag doll? lipsrsealed lipsrsealed undecided lipsrsealed

WOW! That was an over kill. I cant justify that brutality for any reason on earth. Nah nah
PetsRe: The Dilemma Of Veterinary Medicine In Nigeria. by touchmeder: 8:35am On Sep 11, 2014
Super sad n depressing... I know this is medicine after death especially when u finally pass that JAMB n post UME. U feel no force on earth will make u stay @home again but sometimes, der is wisdom in just staying back or @ least not continuing with a course if u feel dis bad about it. How can I suffer for 6yrs 2b called doc den I begin 2find bank or customer service work like evy1 else?
Car TalkRe: My Experience Along Benin- Ore Road by touchmeder: 9:30pm On Sep 10, 2014
Unfortunately u fell 4dis old trick. It was this same Nairaland I read about dis trick n got to know you need 2 keep driving. I also learnt if a raw egg is thrown @ ur windshield, don't use ur wiper wit water cos it will get worse n u won't see a thing; you just keep driving. Kpele op.

FamilyRe: Could My Man Be The Source Of My Troubles? by touchmeder: 6:02pm On Sep 06, 2014
If in your heart you feel bad about this individual, then perhaps its time to cut him loose. Move on, try to find another job and like nashville has advised learn to socialize more and make new friends. I also advise you 2read good books and draw closer to God. I don't mean to sound like a preacher but if you know who u truly are in christ, u will think less of people 'winching' you. U ar made in d image n likeness of God almighty, u are living right, who then will curse whom God has blessed? I am saying this cos ure only 22, life has its challenges and as u conquer them, u become bigger n better. You would not want to keep attributing every challenges to people.

Sanchez01: I totally agree with fact that butter should be refrigerated. Nigerian butters don't do well without being kept in the fridge.

Naturally, I hate fats and oily foods, which means it's mayonnaise for me.

By the way, are you an anti-blueband fan?
Just an aside, you hate oily food but do you know the major ingredient for mayonnaise is egg yolk and oil? Any thing else na just to flavour am. Was shocked to discover this myself.
