in a way i think it differs some guys expect their girlfriends to do stuffs for them. i had a neigbhour like that in school then. the girlfriend used to cook,sweep, and even wash his cloths. it used to baffle me but i think it was something they were both comfortable with. I had a boyfriend then (when we were in his place) he would not even let me carry dirty plates we used to eat outside the room. To him the most degrading part was his flat mates seeing me carrying plates and cups outside or washing them in the sink. of course i cooked for him when he came to visit me and i never for a minute felt he was less a man cos he choose to do the chores even when i was with him.
i think its just different people and what they determine right or wrong or expect in a relationship.
