Make no mistake about my post i am in no way saying what the woman did was right. We all know the repercussions are more severe for women but this is the same cheating men do all the time. The same cheating women now turn their faces away from and leave the men to continue with and even put damn condoms in their bag. If the stupid woman apologizes and is truly sorry why cant she be forgiven? What would u gain from a broken marriage that can be repaired?
first things first sha test that the son is truly yours,
test that you are ok and have not contacted any disease,
if you can forgive her and move on please do so (if you think you have the heart to forgive and move on with your life do it and if you choose to do this dont allow family people put mouth in your matter)
if you cant let her go but dont cut off communication between mother and child
finally nairaland is not as small as you think. keep it on the low

He will apologize, she will cry and ponder on it for a while, in the main time people will tell her '' are you stupid? something this small, but are you sure you didnt provoke him, you should have just left him or kept quiet, do you know how hard it is to find a good man, bla bla bla''

she'd go back to him and that will be the beginning

These are just the two I'm aware of. And who says scamming is less harmful than kidnapping? Do you know how many people have committed suicide because of being scammed? Do you know how many homes that have been wrecked because the breadwinner lost all his fortune to scammers? Whether the victim was being stupid or greedy is not my concern now. Scamming is not only a criminal act, it has severely damaged whatever traces of positive image this country ever had left, and there should be absolutely NO justification for it, NEVER! It is just as bad as any other social vice in the society, and none should be compared to the other because they all have similar end-results on their victims.

Thank you, what this thing has done to our image as Nigerians i cant even begin to speak sef. sometimes people as where i am from i get scared to say Nigerian cos i dont know what they'd be thinking next about me.

its a very tough one. I lived in another city for most of my life but served in lagos and didnt have anywhere to live initally and i know what relations did for me how can i ever forget those people. Today i am not in Nigeria but would always remember them and be greatful for what they did for me at that stage in my life. I understand and can relate with this scenerio. Giving the younger brother an ultimatum might not even work like that. Come on people nor be lagos and work? i'd say the wife should bear for sometime. Manage to make love quietly and if she shouts well too bad everyone is an adult anyway. lol
i'd say poster speak with your wife gently. Try to make her understand this is a temporary thing, can you manage to move out in say 5months?
Can she manage for the main time.Promise your wife that if after five months you dont move out, then you'd rent a room for your brother. i dont think a reasonable woman will still insist on no sex if you reason like this and KEEP TO YOUR WORD.
Advise him to start with a small job even if the pay is small (he may not get the big job at first but he will slowly work his way up)so at least if after the five months he is alone in the room you rented for him, he can take care of his feeding and contribute to his rent.
