Good evening Mamas in the house, does any one have info about mother and child hospital Ikeja. My SIL says her colleagues were raving about it. Dh said make I go ask my sabi mums (in his words) before we go and check them out

Please any reviews?? how is their service??

My darling, i don't have any good review about MCH Adeniyi Jones, Ikeja ooo. If you read my past posts i complained about a Dr my DH took us to, that was a "go-slow" Dr, this was the hospital oo, i was referred to their Medical director and i would say i was not pleased at all, they were just collecting our money and gave us nothing in return, it was their MD that put me on clomi.d and didn't monitor or track my cycles, just said i should bd with dh o pari.

The man had this annoying behaviour of always asking you questions all over again everytime you visit, and i kept wondering if he never wrote down my profile everytime, how old are you? how long have you been ttc for? How long have you been married for? Have you ever been pregnant? etc.

I didn't quiet agree with him right from the onset, but i was ready to take any dr over none at all, like dh had always said.

and after just one unmonitored cycle of clomid, he recommded i go for IVF not even iui oo, and when i asked him about iui he said it is for those who experience premature ejacu/late

the part that pissed me off most was, i complained about recurrent infection, he gave me same drugs (mostly antibiotics) that i told him i had used over and over again with no solution, so i collected the drugs, decided in my mind to get treatment somewhere else and they refused to give me my hvs test result that it would be sent to the MD for treatment prescription, long story short that was the last time i visited the hospital. I ran as far as my legs could carry me and i told DH i was never going there.

in my opinion, it is a maternity and paediatric hospital not a fertility clinic

NB: for every visit you must pay consultation - even if it just for him to see test results without prescribing anything oo

I really can't say. They told me to expect some pains.
I have only done it once so I don't know how other centers do theirs. The equipment looked crude in my opinion.
I saw a lot of blood from the woman that did shortly before I entered, so I guess, I was already geared for the worse.

Hmm MummyKryti, if possible please use another centre, I don't like union for anything sorry to say, in my opinion their VI branch is still a bit okay, that Yaba and ikeja branch is nothing to write home about plus the reviews on here are not too encouraging.

@Newmum0615, hope they sterilized the equipment or used another one for u o, I mean what you saw is just the height of unprofessionalism for me, why would they leave such instrument where you would see it, plus HSG shouldn't even be that bad that one should bleed to start with. *shudders*

The thing is I feel there's a kind of blockage, I've tried several methods from supporting with pillow, resting my legs against the wall and so on but nothing seems to be working.. Babes relax, this flow-back is absolutely normal, every woman experiences it one way or the other, it is only 1 sp.rm needed to do the job, there is nothing to absorb or take the whole 3ml - 6ml of liquid in the sp.rm hence the rest flows out.

You can just try doggy more often to put your mind at rest and if you have concerns, talk to your doc or find a messeurs (massager) like it has been recommended here, but my sisters and friends that have children all say it is normal.

for me if it doesn't even flow out, i will be scared cos it may mean there was no ejakulet

I agree with you on the symptons by dpo thingy, but you know ehn, sympton spotting can make someone crazy, now a days i don't even keep track of my cycle so i don't keep obsessing over this journey. But that idea is a good one

Pls help me choke mouth for my matter o, all my life have always have phobia for hospital that anytime am going there like this my heart will be beating very fast and I will be curious about what is going to happen there to the extent that I won't be able to hold my breath and I won't have to listen to hear my heartbeat, I registered for Antenatal 2weeks ago and as usual this my fear fear started the nurse that attended to me ask why my heart was beating so fast and I told her that am nervous she said that is why my BP read 145/90 so she told me to calm down that she will try again I calmed a little so she tried and it read 125/80, today my next appointment with my fear and curiosity my BP read 150/90 so I talked to the doctor about it, he checked my test results the urine and it was ok, he checked my legs to see if they are swollen they are fine too and he said it was my fear and anxiety that is making my BP to shoot up and that he will look into it in my next appointment... It's a private hospital. My question now is can fear and anxiety actually increase BP or should I just go and register in a general hospital? Any if it's actually my anxiety, how can I overcome it? Pls don't jump pass...

Babes, it is just your fear not that you actually have BP issues (it will never be your portion) and there is a name for what you experience, it is called - White Coat Syndrome-

I first heard about it in from i Vlogger i follow on youtube (FollowTheHills), just assumed all these oyinbos and their plenty serenren sha!. You can read more about it to know you can overcome it.

Biko what are you thinking about, please relax your mind ooo, thinking just gives you something to do but never a solution or help.

Yes they give pain killers, but be prepared to spend the whole day there, except they have changed their arrangement for HSG, so for that reason try and go early enough.

It was painful for me sha, but you know we all have diffeent pain threshold.

Hi babes, sorry that mamas haven't responded to you, though I haven't treated adhesions but mostly castor oil pack and self massage is recommended for adhesions, fibroids, scar tissue, and hydrosalpinx with the use of systemic enzymes such as Serapeptase and blackstrap molasses, please read up about it on the internet

It is not something immediate o, it may take months depending on your body and how serious the adhesions are

There are enough videos on YouTube for tutorials

Welcome to my world, only difference is i didn't/don't have Implantation Bleeding, but fatigue, heavy and sore boobs, increased appetite are all my PMS symptons, the only thing that makes me know it is not bfp is a day or 2 before AF the heavy and sore boobs will just vanish.

I asked about them too previously, i think when i was using my old moniker "Ayaayo" and didn't get a lot of response. But from some reviews i read, some were not pleased about with the Dr and some had great reviews about him and got bfp there

One thing i noticed when i visited was that, he would consult with you first for free to know what you actually want before telling you to register, so at least you know if you would want to continue with them. I think they close by 4pm so you should be there b4 4pm, although when i complained to the nurse she said it is not true.

I ended up not using them cos DH wasn't ready to go the medical line and neither interested in IUI

I wld advise if there is a test here in naija to detrmine d level of vit D in d body, u cld consider doing it first b4 taking it. I no go lie, i don think am sometime like that but fear no gree me take am. If u find info, pls update us. However, u can start d suntan. I used to take a walk outside d office during lunch break, aside from d vit from d sun, it is advisable to stretch ur legs once in a while if ur work involve sitting down for hours. For vitamin D and all other vitamins,i think the best is to eat right.I understand that it's found in eggs and dairy so if you take those it's okay.Again,if you are going to take supplement,we are advised to take organic one and make sure it's vitD3 and not D2.Again,from what i read,it was discovered that women with PCO has low level of vitamin D,so,this subject is a timely one.Minwhile i spied @Donatee online,she will throw more light.

Thanks darling, also it is believed that vit d deficiency can sometimes affect AMH, making it read low, reason i even mentioned Ekatwins.
