Donzman:look, dunceman, you need to check your own backyard before opening your mouth to comment on other people. Since you've shown you only see the world through the unbalanced, tribalistic and prejudiced myopia that you call a viewpoint, you shouldnt act upset when you get called out. knowing you, you've probably convinced yourself that all evil rests with Yoruba people while all heavenly virtues rest in Igboland. Too bad you dont know your own history. |
no need to prolong the issue. The guy wants to hear the word Igbo. let me humor him. |
believe it or not, children of intertribal unions have a very distinctive look, because they tend to combine the best features of both tribes. [with a few exceptions like OBJ of course]. Or maybe they look more unique because while most times their names/surnames place them in one tribe, their features reflect another tribe. speaking from personal observation. |
Donzman:what? No more lies to cook up? You must be crazy if you've forgotten your original question which I answered. Tribalist wacko. You ought to have a medal in lying. Champion liar. |
you got two girls pregnant at the same time? why did the other one abort the baby now? You need to take care of your responsibilities. Why go around overpopulating the planet? so free and easy with himself. |
@elody: ah ah, Igbos are Jews now. Why are you contradicting this? maybe they are actually from the far north of Sweden. This African sun is something else. It turns people black. |
Is this mrs aba4life? |
aba4life isnt talking about black Jesus- he specifically referred to Igbo Jesus. |
Donzman:yes, that's true. Like the long juju of Arochukwu which engaged in warring against, buying and selling other Igbo into slavery. Also like the famous warrior clan of the Igbo. abi your own village dey united before colonization? lets hear the lies. |
what's so difficult to pronounce about Seun? Most people will mispronounce Seun as Sean/Shawn, not isi ewu. The girl was right to break up with you. Maybe you felt you were doing her a favor by dating her. She should have cussed you out as well. How can you claim to care about someone and be calling her a goat head. Carry your tribalism elsewhere. If na Chinese/Russian name you no go get problem. |
honestly, going by your screen name alone, I'd understand why the lady is being ambigous. |
. |
@poster: do you really want to divorce your husband or not? I'm getting mixed signals here, it makes me wonder if you're actually even married. If you need a divorce, see a lawyer. |
first of all, the level of racism, tribalism, and bigotry demonstrated by many Nigerians is appalling. I was just wondering ,the other day, if any other African country outside of Rwanda has this kind of deep rooted ethnic hatreds.Na wa o. And all this kind of mentality after a civil war. Too bad people can't learn from the past. I personally know an igbo lady who mentioned some atrocities committed against her family by Nigerian soldiers, during the war.Yet she went on to enter into a wonderful marriage with a Yoruba man that lasted for decades. Na wa o. I have a headache from reading some of these tribalistic and racist posts on Nairaland. I think the Nigerian government should begin to offer financial incentives to people who marry outside their tribe. This will encourage more tribal integration and maybe begin to point the way to a common ground for all Nigerians. I personally don't have a problem with anyone who doesnt want to be Nigerian-after all, a substantial part of Nigeria used to be in Cameroon ages ago. Secondly, I have to mention the fact that I don't understand the antagonism felt by some people over the practice of SOME Yoruba people in throwing lavish parties in YORUBALAND. Its not as if they went to Igboland or Hausaland to throw their party. if they are blocking roads in lagos and people have a problem with that, surely there are civil ways to voice your complaint about it. And if the parties are disturbing you too much, then move. I personally do not like the idea of owambe parties, but then neither do I like the idea of extravagant funerals, expensive weddings, and the like, especially if the parties involved cannot really afford the expense. But thats just my personal view, and if anyone wants to throw an owambe party, its not my business, since I'm not the one paying for it. |

davidylan:hear hear. So to all the guys: dont subject any woman to indignity please. Dont sleep with virgins, dont play the field (women get disvirgined when you do that). Hold bodi, I beg. Its up to the men to preserve the dignity of the female folk. ![]() |
if tribal marks were used for identification in the old days, and also to prevent slavery-well, slavery has been abolished, and nowadays ID CARDS or PASSPORTS are used for identification. Anyone who insists on being an enemy of progress should be fined heavily and jailed. If jail doesnt affect them, then they should be made to pay through the nose for such ignorance. i bet even the practice of giving tribal marks itself had a beginning. there was probably a time before tribal marks in the past, until some " bright (?)" fella came up with the idea. if una no fit change expired practice, you want make oyinbo come change ya mind for you? what nonsense. |
well, I've generally noticed that guys who go to church in search of wives tend to end up with girls who're in church looking for husbands. six of one and half a dozen of the other. They fit themselves, cause water always finds its own level. nothing wrong with either scenario, by the way. You can find a wife anywhere you can find people. |
@ topic: yes, there's just something about guys who know what they're doing on the dance floor. guys who cant dance can be pretty slick too- they sometimes have that helpless, "come-and-baby-me" look [ very deceptive]. but men who know how to dance, exude a lot of confidence, somehow. |
