thanks for answering With regard to the cartoons which you say appear on TV,if they are in the form of humans, then the ruling on watching them depends on whether they come under the same ruling as realistic human images or not? It is most likely that they do not come under that ruling. If they are not in the form of humans, then there is nothing wrong with watching them,so long as they are not accompanied by anything haraam such as music and so on and they do not distract from obligatory dutieswhat if they're in the form of animals? |
we need a genuinely yoruba moderator in culture section plz. |

38729 views, seun, whatever money comes in from the increased site traffic, you should give some of it to a local church or needy people. opelope deeper. |
This thread 42000+ views. The thread in family or culture section on the same topic, 62000+ views. Seun should thank deeper for the site traffic o. |
dont lend what you cant afford to lose. and why would you expect your parents to return money you "borrowed" them? ![]() |
i wasnt aware of any rivalry, i listened to both of them. i even know "oro to nlo", didnt know it was about a supposed rivalry. i wonder why people consistently fail to grasp the concept of apples and oranges. |
alpha conde: Shouldn't it b our own namesthe choice and decision are yours. |
its up to you. some people drop their family surnames and take on different names, while others dont. |
@ topic perhaps, given the increasing image of nigeria as a destination of choice for emigrants. but, what happens to the regular market traders, is the market big enough for both? I assume it is. |
hmm, thanks to you both. i was just wondering what types of tv shows muslims would consider ok. not everyone watches tv, granted, but for those who do, i wanted an idea of their comfort zone. |
^ what about video games, which are a form of cartoon, so to speak. just more intense and less playful. |
CAMEROONPRIDE: okay. be careful.thanks, i try my best, the rest is left to God. |
^ so, basically you're saying no cartoons are halal, and all are haram? |
CAMEROONPRIDE: okay.actually, i do, or i believe i do, to some extent. i know muslims are technically supposed to make war on christians (real christians that is), however, sometimes there could be interludes when each side has to refuel. peace is but the intervals between war. |
good luck with that. |
fellis: Wow, tpia are you on your way to becoming a Muslim or something? The way you ask questions these days sef...the thread expressly says questions, whats wrong with my contributions? i'm just curious and since you folks kindly opened a thread for such, i obliged. mucho gracias. |
second question for lanrexlan: is your user id your name *2? ie lanre-x- then lanre. |
no, i meant halal ie permissive. i dont think tv is considered haram, i stand corrected if wrong. |
what types of shows (cartoons, movies, etc), would you, as a muslim, consider halal? question is for lanrexlan. tbaba can also contribute, would like your opinion. |
Wizeboy: I know the poster is female, I just tried to generalise it. Because we all at one point or the other expect to meet a complete man/woman, which never happened... That's the main reason there are so many divorce nowadays; as some people tends to pretend/fake whoever they are, in order to just win a partner.cool, good for you then. the picture is rather unusual ,but if you say you have lots of them, then kudos. so, the too-handsome guy's own is also in order in that case. |
was there a need for this thread: https://www.nairaland.com/1343040/operation-moving-train when there's already a complaint one and a report to moderator button? try to avoid appearing belligerent, malicious and vindictive. just saying. |
mama gee when did you get married? talkless have children? you've never mentioned this before. |
sigh. |
if you need a serious discussion, drop the moonshine. |
i guess they're on a mission, best to watch them and see where they're headed. his girlfriend also jumped with bared fangs on my post in romance section, these people usually have an agenda, they dont just do things haphazardly like that. we'll see where they're going sooner or later. from this thread, it looks like the two igbo mods are actively banning yorubas who are not on their buddy list. the yoruba mods had better balance this equation by banning some of their fellow yorubas in solidarity with the igbo mods and also in order to prove there's no anti-yoruba (or anti-some yoruba) agenda going on here. we know you folks are extremely sneaky. |
hmm, interesting. where do they know each other from? |
riskit33: It's beats me that NLs keep fighting over trivial things.eh, you'll get used to it. |
sino: I understand you perfectly, i cherish positive thinking and i'm also an advocate for it, even though i know my destiny has been sealed, only prayers can change it, the reason i am praying and continue to pray that Allah Blesses me with righteous children (prayer is also positive thinking).i'm not advocating positive thinking [i'm not into that, especially with negative thinking reigning these days, much better to acknowledge that than live in denial]. what i meant is what you say or believe will also affect your interaction with others. for example, going back to the post in question [sorry to bring it up again], if you have the mindset that daughters will give you stress, its likely they will, since you will relate with them in that fashion. let's say a woman has bad experiences with or hears bad things about men and relates with her sons in a manner that reflects her negative opinion of the male gender. Chances are she will do so even without meaning to, because she feels a bad vibe when she sees men, her sons included. hope you get my point? Not sure if its clear. Its not positive thinking, but your own perception of how you want to view something. |
22000+ views, wow. |
