its not always that easy to propose to a girl. takes a lot of courage sometimes, and a guy could just be nervous, or the words didnt come out exactly the way he planned. of course, could also be the other things mentioned, but there' no one way, really. it all depends. he could also be the joking type, and say it jokingly even though he's serious. its the girl who will know which of these applies to her guy. |
^what's your aim here? you have a problem with people from a certain part of the country? then just come right out and say it without beating around the bush like a cowardly bat. |
anyway, lets try this again
what did Satan steal?(he only told man the truth Gen: 3 vs 4-5 Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die, For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evill.". And then God utterance in another vs corroborated it. Gen:3 vs 22 Then the Lord God said,"Behold, the man has become like one of us, to know good and evil"...
this has been discussed on other threads, basically, the issue here is the serpent attempting to usurp God's authority by getting adam and eve to disobey God, with attendant consequences. Now my question, has Jesus, the second Adam changed man from knowing good and evil which God never wanted man to know and why should God send Jesus to come and reverse what he couldn't reverse or correct in Adam?(why didn't God strike the hammer while iron was hot?you cant have answers to these questions if you dont know what adam's original purpose was. why was he created, and what was he supposed to do? |
i typed up a reply which was unable to post when the other thread got locked. |
^very ambitious, arent you. e only remain abiola to add to your name. |
hmm, boko haram/armed robbers are warming up for attacks again. LHM |
amlydave: If u ever need a woman, don't talk to her. Just go first and look for money and the woman u want will personally confront u with issues of love.true, sha, most of the time. |
[@ odunnu stick to this plz: Odunnu: You tell me and be honest too. How does 'Odunnu weds Maclatunji as second wife' sound to you? |
does anyone really need an excuse to move out of lagos or to calabar. there's nothing in lagos which isnt also found in calabar, and in addition, calabar is quieter and neater. so, mentioning fashola's name is really unnecessary and whoever is spreading rumours, should stick to one script. very obvious lack of coordination here. |
please let this man recover, what's wrong with you people. @ op yes, your threads are somehow. |
let the wickedness of the wicked ensnare them o lord. |
if only the govt would do something about the state of the educational system in nigeria . . . . . . . . . |
name of the book: the transatlantic slave trade. |
Thread title sounds so illiterate. |
Gamers, i assume. |
Why do you want to know? |
I see why the op would think so, lets call a spade a spade. We could also insert the word "can be" in the thread title instead of "are", but the truth is, its very discouraging when you see these things. I mean, we like villifying whites and other nationalities/races for their meanness but we also outdo them sometimes ( if not most of the time). |
its still january, why not wait till february before we start inundating nl with valentine's day threads. always an overload at that time. . . . . . . . . . |
came across an interesting book on the trans atlantic slave trade. different perceptions of slaves, their regions, colours, etc. |
beauty is in the eye of the beholder. what is attractive to you, might not be to someone else, and vice versa. i see your point, but its not always about physical beauty, there are other factors involved. |

Thinking means u aren't sure bout it and how can u propose what u aren't sure of, so I think best word to use is "I wanna marry you rather than I think I wanna marry youcould be that, or could also just be the choice of words. depends on the person i think. |
like i said, 1 Cor 13 is the best way to describe love. as per your question, they should both be on the same plane, if one is investing 50% or less emotionally in the relationship, then the other should too. thats my two cents. |
^love shouldnt be one sided in that manner. of course it frequently is, but such instances simply highlight the fact that there's an imbalance and error/s along the line. |
Chuckles indeed, smh. ![]() Your goal as a man is not to make a woman emotionally dependent on you, but to make her emotionally fulfilled. For the proper definition of love, check 1 cor 13. And btw, if you do not have the love of Christ in you, you will find it hard to love anybody, or be loved in return. When you consider people as commodities, you also turn yourself into the same. |
I guess this was meant for the young turks in the music section. I dont know either song although i mean to look up the oliver twist one. |
I need to study that period further, in order to know more about it. |
Nigerian men in nigeria will never pay child support. What might be useful is a welfare system where the govt directly caters for the needs of its underage citizens, same as what obtains abroad. |
One track minds, smh. ![]() |
