obadiah777: YES THATS WHAT I MEAN LOL. SHE WAS FEDEXED TO HIM. THEY GOT ON VERY WELL INITIALLY. BUT AFTERWARDS CAME THE VIOLENT FIGHTS LOL. I REMEMBER THEM DOING LOTS OF KISSING
kissing and fighting (or vice versa), wow.

let me clarify: you dont hear that very often with a nigerian couple.

its either fighting all the way with kids popping out in between till they (couple) decides if they want to make a go of it or not, or its strictly business as usual with no new fangled white stuff like kissing interfering with the institution of marriage.

especially back in the day.

Escosbaby: I wasnt trying to set that as a stereo type. I just know there are Christians and Muslims in Nigeria. I just wanted to let it be clear that he was of different religion than I am and wondered how that might affect our relationship once he gets to usa if he is raised with a different aspect of culture and religion.
oh, ok, i didnt get any of that from your original post.

besides, before, it used to be just nigerian man, so i was surprised to see its now nigerian muslim.

^sometimes, a river really is, just a river.

the state of Mississippi is also named after a river.

likewise, lagos means lagoon, and kaduna is named for the river kaduna.

Culture › Re: Calabar Girls.. Why The Believe That They Are Sex Freaks. "Totally False" by tpia5: 10:37am On Jan 20, 2013
Speaking generally, since we've all heard at various times, that women anywhere give it up easily.

It depends on who is talking, and where they're located.

Besides, with booty call sex, the man's soul can be held hostage for future use, just saying.
Culture › Re: Calabar Girls.. Why The Believe That They Are Sex Freaks. "Totally False" by tpia5: 10:34am On Jan 20, 2013
Usually, most girls will be sex freaks to get the man, and most men will be so happy to be getting some, that their boyish imagination stretches the experience to fantasy level.

Now, after you get the man, reality and hard work sets in.

Also, other girls now start aiming for the man, and the cycle starts all over again.

Tribal marks were important back then because they served as identification and also, were used to distinguish people from different tribes and localities.

Thus, you ran less risk of mistaking someone for a different ethnicity or region when they were not.

So, its not about them being bad or good, but more about preserving identity.
