Consultant:
But even if you use the machine to cut it into strips, don't you still need to cut it into squares with a knife?
Cant say for sure really since I've never made pasta from scratch before.

But it probably has a horizontal slicer in addition to the vertical one.

If what you're looking for is square chin chin and not the rectangular type, then the machine could be adjustable. After all pasta has varying shapes and thickness.

I'm also open to other ideas, if anyone knows how large scale chinchin is made. wink

Yorubas have a proverb:

"The wisdom of the elders plus the wisdom of the youths/children, built Ife".

Being a youth doesnt automatically mean you should be stupid and corrupt unless that's what you want.

Doesnt seem to have helped in any way.

ANOTHER REASON WHY I'M HAPPY TO BE A MUSLIM !

NO ONE TELLS ME WHEN TO PRAY . . . WE ALL KNOW WHEN . . .

NO ONE NEEDS TO TELL WHEN TO RISE UP IN THE NIGHT AND PRAY, WE ALL KNOW WHEN TO . . .
some Muslims do special prayers above and beyond the mandatory five times a day.

Likewise the prayer request being discussed here, is for a specific reason- it doesnt mean nobody ever prays.

I've often told my mum she prays too much as if heaven wants to fall down, and she's not muslim.

He should lose weight, take another nude picture and advertise a gym.

Or start his own.

The photo is already on the web so there's little damage control he can do now.

Hope the nudists dont seize this opportunity to edge into the Nigerian market.

I lost my phone anyway and just found it last night, so I dont know if I got any such message though i highly doubt it.

In any case, arent we supposed to pray for our relatives at other times and not just certain hours of the day.

imo, that kind of thing should be a personal, not general thing unless a consensual group agrees on it for whatever reason. Like prayer partners, prayer cells, etc.

Though with the high rate of random deaths these days I understand people may be getting jittery.

okokomeji:
This reminds me of one (SU) "Su-e-gbe union" that I bordered a Greyhound bus with in Atlanta. I guess he just got here from Nigeria. You could still tell by his thick accent. Then, he started speaking in tongue, he says evil spirit is in this bus and he wants to cause accident. He says we need strong prayer to chase the demon off. Then, a crackhead sitting behind me stood up with typical black American's English. He says "you ain't shit, you ain't, we ain't buyin' your lie, you took it; we don't believe in all of those mumbo jumbo craps in 21 century.

Before we knew it someone had already called cops on his ass. After cops took him away, my Jamaican's friend says when there are clear roads with no potholes and speed limit signposts are everywhere on highways, then you have cops on highways too, to write tickets for speed limit’s offenders; we don’t have to think about accident. Then, I thought about that if this happened in Nigeria, this guy would have been rich now, because at the end of the journey, he would have given out his phone number to many people who are looking for urgent miracles.
@ bolded

na for overseas Nigerians dey learn the basics of at least outwardly obeying the law.

abroad people no dey delay call police if you wan disturb them.

on the other hand, I've heard a Spanish guy (I think) preach on a US bus before, though he waited until he was off the bus before yelling his message: Jesus is coming: Repent!!

long time ago. And he didnt make it a sermon. He just shouted that one line.

seyenko:
1 To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
2 A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

5 A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

6 A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

9 What profit hath he that worketh in that wherein he laboureth? 10 I have seen the travail, which God hath given to the sons of men to be exercised in it.

11 He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end.

12 I know that there is no good in them, but for a man to rejoice, and to do good in his life. 13 And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God. 14 I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him. 15 That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past.

16 And moreover I saw under the sun the place of judgment, that wickedness was there; and the place of righteousness, that iniquity was there. 17 I said in mine heart, God shall judge the righteous and the wicked: for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work. 18 I said in mine heart concerning the estate of the sons of men, that God might manifest them, and that they might see that they themselves are beasts. 19 For that which befalleth the sons of men befalleth beasts; even one thing befalleth them: as the one dieth, so dieth the other; yea, they have all one breath; so that a man hath no preeminence above a beast: for all is vanity. 20 All go unto one place; all are of the dust, and all turn to dust again. 21 Who knoweth the spirit of man that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth? 22 Wherefore I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works; for that is his portion: for who shall bring him to see what shall be after him?
God bless you.

Michael Jackson, background, is seen with his hair on fire during a taping of a Pepsi TV commercial in Los Angeles on February 1984 as brother Jermaine Jackson, foreground, continues to perform, apparently unaware of the situation.

Celebrities › Re: Micheal Jackson Is Not Broke by tpiah: 4:52pm On Jul 01, 2009
I doubt he left his father out because of that alone.

Joe Jackson was an incurable womanizer and some of the Jacksons once had to beat up one of his mistresses who got too pushy.

Not all kids like the idea of their dad being a casanova.

besides, the guy was a hard core businessman- emphasis on hard core. He made his family famous but it did come at an emotional price.

since the parents are still together, I dont think it matters if his dad doesnt receive anything.

As long as he's comfortable and fed, there shouldnt be a problem, imo.

people who arent sango worshippers nko? Which oath will they take?

say Ogun amadioha or yemoja worshippers. or any of the other 10 million deities in Nigeria.

The oaths all the politicians you're referring to have been taking- have they affected corruption in any way? huh

btw, vigasimple- sango isnt the god of iron.

and the oaths arent about serving the people- they're to show your loyalty to your godfather.
Romance › Re: My Girl_friend Is A Mamiwater~ Water Spirit! by tpiah: 3:53pm On Jun 30, 2009
so what you're saying is a prophetess told you your girlfriend has mammy water spirit.

Now, does the prophetess have another girl she wants you to date instead, or what did she tell you to do about your drastic situation.

How is she going to help you out, because no smoke without fire.

I think your girlfriend should dump you ASAP.

abi is this all a tall tale?
