Have you tried the Lagos waterside fish markets. Or ask any Rivers/Okrika people living in lagos if they know where oysters are sold. I think I might have seen the shells in lagos but not the oysters themselves maybe.

Do you mean oysters, clams or cockles, btw.

and yes, they're dangerous if they're not fresh, so be careful when buying some. Periwinkles should be a good substitute.

The Lagos variety is called mangrove oyster but i dont know if they're edible.

davidif:
I am yoruba and we only have three words for different languages: white (funfun), black (dudu), red (pupa) but my teacher wants to find out what we call blue, green, yellow, brown, and pink.
I used to wonder about this myself.

However, traditional cloth makers might know if there are other words for colors, since they'll use various kinds of dyes and materials when weaving fabrics. Dark blue in particular should have a name because there are blue dye pits up north and there must have been some kind of interaction in the past.

I think yellow is also pupa.

a general overview:

I dont think blue is dudu though I could be wrong.

Michael Jackson's children could return to mother

Debbie Rowe, the former wife of Michael Jackson, could get custody of their two children following the singer's death.

Miss Rowe was thought to have relinquished all parental rights to Prince Michael, 12, and Paris, 11, after a long legal battle following their divorce.

However, showbusiness website TMZ quoted a lawyer who represented Michael Jackson as saying that the judge in the case changed his mind and the process of terminating her rights to the children was never completed.

The name of the mother of Jackson's third child, seven-year-old Prince Michael II – commonly known as ‘Blanket’ – has never been divulged.

Jackson's mother Katherine has offered to look after him, according to Brian Oxman, a longtime lawyer for the family.

While Jackson was taken ill, the children remained in Los Angeles under the supervision of a nanny, according to reports.

It means the songs cannot be touched by the creditors and could be worth as much as $100 million. They have been left to Prince Michael, aged 12, Paris Katherine, 11, and Prince Michael II (also known as Blanket).
Now the fighting begins.

Michael Jackson bequeathed 200 unpublished songs for children

Michael Jackson has bequeathed up to 200 original songs to his three children, it has been reported.

The singer put in place a contingency plan months before his death to ensure his children would be well taken care of in the event of bankruptcy.

It means the songs cannot be touched by the creditors and could be worth as much as $100 million. They have been left to Prince Michael, aged 12, Paris Katherine, 11, and Prince Michael II (also known as Blanket).

The claims are to be made in a biography of Jackson called The Final Years of Michael Jackson, written by Ian Halperin. The book will also claim that a genetic condition had ruined Jackson's lungs and left him unable to sing.

Jackson was reportedly receiving regular injections for the condition - called Alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency - which is a lack of a protein that can help protect the lungs.

The disease can cause respiratory problems and, in severe cases, emphysema. The book claims that this is why Jackson had for years been wearing a surgical mask in public, and sometimes used a wheelchair.

Other claims made in the biography include that Jackson had nightmares about being murdered and told friends he wanted to die, according to the Mail on Sunday.

Mr Halperin said that six months ago he predicted Jackson's death - within six months. He says his suggestions was dismissed as a "complete fabrication" by Jackson's official spokesman, Tohme Tohme.

The third picture in the slides, is he the youngest in that picture?
He doesn't look like the child of two black parents.
yes, that's him.

He has fewer pictures out but he looks a bit more like Michael, imo.

No one knows exactly how "black" the mother is. She could also be mixed but anyway there's too much mystery surrounding these kids.

Yea, thats the same one I'm talking about. Isn't 'blanket' white? How can the nanny be the mother then?
Blanket isnt white like his siblings.

His skin is tan/golden.

He looks middle eastern or latino, but Michael always insisted his mother is black.

as per all the jargon you wrote up there, I'm not interested in analyzing your mental state and sociopathic tendencies because for all I know you may be typing from jail hence your worldview.

If you consider your sick jokes as also being jabs at your mother, then like I said before, spot on.

case closed.

Next time, mention that when you're discussing rape and making perverted jokes about women. So I can understand where you're coming from.

Celebrities › Re: Who Should Have Custody Of Micheal Jackson's Kids by tpiah: 11:29am On Jun 29, 2009
The kid's grandmother should raise them. Or one of his siblings- maybe the oldest, Rebbi.

Their mother legally signed away her parental rights in court, so it might be hard for her to get them back without a battle. However, if the kids are to be raised white, then maybe she'll still have a chance.

No one knows who blanket's mother is. If she knows herself then one would expect her to say something by now, unless she also signed away her right to do so.

Mixed up world we live in.

ElRazur:
You really lack the ability to engage logic. I guess by your logic, anyone who refuse to engage in your manner of thinking and posting should be called a pervert?  undecided

At least 4 people or so have pointed out to you that "this is a joke and should not be taken serious". On top of that, many people posting are actually enjoying the banter. Also, the Opening Post explained that items posted here should not to be taken serious. Some how, your brain was unable to compute these and make you see reason.  If it is too nasty for you, then stay away! Seriously, how hard is that? huh

Without taking things out of context, please explain, or provide conclusive proof as to where I have made "nasty jokes" about the opposite sex in the past? It is easy for people with your mind set to talk shi.t and try to justify your foolishness instead of just engaging your brain and seeing a bit of reason.

Perhaps if you make use of your brain, then people may not have to mention your name?

PS
All gloves are off with you now. I have tried to be level headed with you, but you clearly refuse to see this.

PPS
A few people have pointed out how you are a woman, yet you seem to be denying this - Obnoxious [and a few who shall remain nameless] . What I find interesting is how you are quick to deny this, yet go around forum acting like one, bitching and emulating all the bad bits of a woman.

Do you not feel comfortable in your sexuality or something woman?
look, you're fast exceeding your limit of exhausting other people's patience.

I generally like to give people the benefit of the doubt when they show their nasty character, but you seem to be taking advantage of that.

Not too long ago you posted some very crass comments about rape, which you claimed was a joke at the time. Same as what you're doing now.

The moderator cleaned up your post and you fought him over that, because, according to you "I was only joking".  I saw that thread and your perverted views there but decided against taking you up on it since you were so loud about people "taking things too serious".

Now, you dont like being reminded your mother is also female and so your warped "jokes" apply to her as well, but you're quick to attack anyone who tells you your so called "fun" is offensive.

That is very daft of you. Developing persecution complex when in fact you're the one trying to persecute others who you feel are underdogs.

Only an idiot and a pervert would derive pleasure from jokes which put down a particular group of people through generalizations. If a foreigner comes in here and starts criticizing Nigerian men in particular, all of you will act like the person is committing a crime. Yet here you are shamelessly and intentionally trying to start a flame war because "its been a long time since anything happened".

I dont care who you think you are or who you think is behind you- learn some manners unless you consider yourself irresponsibly ghetto. As in raised under a Nigerian flyover ghetto.

And only a shameless cowardly delusional schizo would hide under Obnoxious' wrapper in an attempt to appear "manly". You sound more gay than straight, if you ask me.

Complaints about the coverage and media included using sensational headlines to draw in readers and viewers when the content itself did not support the headline, accepting stories of Jackson's alleged criminal activity in return for money, accepting confidential leaked material from the police investigation in return for money paid, deliberately using pictures of Jackson's appearance at its worst, a lack of objectivityand using headlines that strongly implied Jackson's guilt

If they arent, then some villages must be devoid of girls in that age range.

Someone needs to look into this and hold the village heads responsible if its true.
