^^maybe my explanation is too complicated for you.

1. akoko edos say they're edo, not yoruba

yorubas say akoko edo isnt yoruba.

chyz says akoko edo is yoruba because he heard an occasional yoruba word here and there when he visited them.

soooooo. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

2. itsekiri say they're not yoruba

yorubas say itsekiri arent yoruba

I'm yet to see any woman from a different tribe that left an Igbo man after having a taste. In fact what I have even noticed is that once a woman has been with an Igbo man, she finds it EXTREMELY hard to look elsewhere. All her future lovers would likely be Igbo. And I mean women from ALL PARTS OF THE WORLD.
no biggie.

same is said of yoruba men.

it's just a thing with women.

men are the ones who would still want to be experimenting all over with different types of women even if they [the men] are geriatric.

Next time learn how to read first then talk. Also you are not Igarra neither do you have personal links to them as i do so shut your mouth.

abegi!!!

many languages share some similarities with yoruba- that doesnt make them yoruba.

most of the languages of old bendel state have heavy derivatives from other groups.

read this and stop claiming allsorts:

igarra is an ebiroid language. Ebira is related to igala which itself has similarities with yoruba.
Ijebu Ode is the capital of juju and witchcraft in Africa and would have been the world capital save for Haiti. Also, jujuism is engraved in Yoruba culture and that is why it proliferates more in Yoruba land. Check the number of spiritualists, pastors, babalawos, etc churned out from Yorubaland yearly and compare with other tribes.
It is very normal to find a 20 yr old Hausa/ Igbo/Ijaw/Efik, etc boy or girl who has no clue of juju or how it works but it will be very rare to find such in Yorubaland.

It is very rare to find Igbo/Ijaw/Hausa/Ibibio etc women who give their married daughters juju to plant in their husbands home even when there is no cause for alarm but that behavior is not rare in Yorubaland. More likely than not, a Yoruba wife will receive juju  no matter how harmless from her mother for further protection even if she lives in UK, US or New Zealand.
juju is widespread across nigeria, but its only yoruba's own that gets broadcast.

as per women giving their daughters juju, well, that depends on the type of family the daughter is from. Someone raised in a juju setting will definitely depend on juju no matter what.

btw the world capital of juju is benin republic.

Can you also explain why you're including pastors in your list? Because some of them use juju?

It is very normal to find a 20 yr old Hausa/ Igbo/Ijaw/Efik, etc boy or girl who has no clue of juju or how it works
you wish.

ask any nigerian anywhere on the street- even a two year old- they will tell you something about juju.

I'm not saying juju isnt rampant in yorubaland but to say nobody elsewhere knows what it is, is simply false.

Igarra - The History of the Name

Igarra derives from IGALA, the original ancestors who inhabited the union of IGALA/OKPOTO and eventually migrated to the present KOGI State between the 13th and 16th centuries.

Location

Igarra is situated in the outskirts of Edo State, surrounded by hills called the KUKURUKU HILLS (also known as the Hills of Destiny). This area is governed by AKOKO-EDO. The distance from Igarra to Benin City is approximately 160 km.

Migration

The Igarra people migrated from the KWARARAFA confederacy of the JUKUN kingdom of WUKARI which was situated in what is presently called the TARABA State in Nigeria in the 13th century.

Once the Igarra people succeeded in claiming the land, it was decided this land would be known as ETUNO, Ete meaning land in Igarra dialect and Uno being the name of the leader of the aborigines. Naming a place after the first occupier or a natural feature of the land is common practice.
All Igarra people finally migrated to this land by 1917.

Historically, the land is referred to as ETUNO. Igarra people are known as ANETUNO and they speak Igarra dialect. The inhabiting tribe is officially recorded as Igarra.

which yoruba were they speaking? Shows you yourself speak no yoruba at all.

Once another tribe woman enters the marriages, it is a different ball game. It becomes "dis Omo Ibo" woman, I go show am pepper!
hmm, well, regardless which tribe the woman is from, once you enter a polygamous marriage as an extra wife, na so so wahala.

even if everyone in the marriage is from the same tribe.

Yes I know, but your chance of dying from it reduces drastically if you are the only wife. Basically the family sees you as the man's other half.
not necessarily. Besides, voodoo isnt always about killing off your rival/s (because that might throw unwanted suspicion on you) but can be about destroying their lives in other ways. undecided

Once another enters, all bets are off!
so how do you explain the polygamous marriages of yesteryears with 90% of the wives living to old age?

If all the wives engaged in killing each other off all the time, they'd simply get a reputation as witches.

most people used other ways to bell the cat, so to speak.

How do you defend against voodoo from your husband's relations and women?
as far as I know, voodoo is everywhere, not only in yorubaland.

so not marrying yoruba doesnt protect anyone from voodoo.
Culture › Re: Yoruba Boys And Igbo Gals by tpiah: 6:16am On Sep 12, 2010
Let me throw in a little anecdote to illustrate my point. A Yoruba friend of mine whose father married 5 women told me how his dad did it, 'cos I was frankly baffled.  Meanwhile his dad is a very educated man with a P.HD in science and a law degree

The father never argued with any of his wives. The day he decided to add a second wife, he simply went and impregnated another lady. When the wife found out, he simply said,"well, what can I do?". He rented a flat for her and she became his second wife. And so on and so on. . . until his libido reduced naturally due to age and he stopped at the 5th wife.
well, its true once a yoruba man makes up his mind to marry additional wives, its practically impossible to stop him,

Christian or no Christian, educated or non-educated: once they get that way, o pari (e don finish) and if the wife makes too much noise, she's either out or on her own, since she might find it difficult getting support.

though many nigerian women dont mind being additional wives and even see it as normal. Especially if the man is rich but even if he isnt. Its a cultural thing.

1. I dont remember seeing a photo of platinumnk kissing ozone in the bush. When she first joined she had a picture of her boyfriend in PH.

2. Havent seen the mum's email but if she's blaming other people for platinunmk's actions, that doesnt look good. Wont say more but expect platinunmk to grow bigger wings undecided

@davidylan & tpiah
Thanks for our responses. I am really very grateful.
Then to your question, tpiah Well, often times, those doctors try to code the names of those drugs in such a way that only the pharmacist would understand. And most pharmacist will not disclose it. But among all those drugs they gave me, I could always recognize salbutamol,  vitamin C and some paracetamol among them. I don't always know the names of the rest. And I always find these I mentioned, in all that other doctors give me too. I take their advices, but its just not working. So, I don't know.

When I was fed up of visiting those doctors giving almost the same drugs, same advices with no significant change, then I decided to visit a reputable pharmacy. I visited Juli pharmacy because that is the only one i trusted in my area then. it was that pharmacy who gave me KOSTASE (I think its a corticosteroids drug. That was when i noticed a significant change. The excessive tiredness stopped, but other symptoms like chest tightness after excersice leading to discomfort in breathing still remain.
huh huh huh hmmmm, I wont classify it as pain per say. Just some discomfort (chest tightness)and changes in the way I breath. But let's assuming its heart related; isn't there a way or test to confirm that? Probably other physicals they take don't point to that direction. However, I do not expect doctors to always rely 100% on what the patients say. They should still conduct some tests to see where the problem really is. Else, the gamble will never stop.
Oh yeah, I will try that too. I checked them. They are long threads. I just hope I meet good people like you to respond there.

@dadiylan
The bold part of your comment seem to give the summary of everything. So, what is the forward please?

Some doctors would advise you stay away from those triggers, but sometimes it becomes practically impossible. I may decide to stay off exercise (remember that no- exercise is also not good). But lets assume that I stay away from exercise because of those problems. What if I am on the highway, and I have flat tires and I have to change the tires of the SUV I drive, and no one to help? That of course, would require some strengths from  me which could also tighten my chest. That is why I say its practically impossible to stick to those advice sometimes. Then what about staying off cold air? That could be followed but it is still practically impossible some times. What if I have a dress code for work? Would I be on pull over or jacket when its not the appropriate wear for my job? Why I'm I saying all these? I know some one could come up here and start advice me to stay off those possible causes you identified, even when the root cause of the problem is not known, and when there still remains no permanent solution to it.

let's also assume I can't get skin prick test in Nigeria. Isn't there anything I could take to boost my immunity? Because I believe is my immunity is so strong, I should be able to resist any trigger be it cold air or exercise induced or what do you think?
eating citrus fruits or taking vitamin c tablets will boost your immunity.

heart problems are notoriously hard to pinpoint in the initial stages but hopefully that's not what you have.

salbutamol is the nebulizer, and if its not working, then I agree further tests are definitely needed. Frankly, I'm stumped and would like to hear other viewpoints on this.
