anyway, i saw this topic on yahoo or somewhere.
i dont think most black women set their standards too high and neither do they have to date someone they're not physically comfortable with in the name of black solidarity.
more black women need to be open to dating outside their race and nationality, that's all.
if you must have a relationship with a man who doesnt share your exact same values like church, etc, then is it set in stone that it has to be a black guy. |

TV/Movies › Re: African American Movies by tpiah: 4:35am On Aug 25, 2010 |
watched Trois 2 which got generally bad reviews, but the movie is actually interesting if you start watching it towards the middle, like i did. i didnt see the steamy parts but there were enough references to them later on in the film, to figure out what happened. quite a few plot twists. fornication can be so dangerous sha. dont want to get into coloring here but i do wonder what's going on in hollywood.oboaks: For me ,i think i like African American movie because ,it really brings out the "Blackmans Gift" and most especially, the African culture/pride. For instance ,the Cinderella where Whitney Houston,Brandy & Whoopy Goldberg feature,i really love that movie, and do you no I'll do anything to get that movie, please any one that has that film should please contact me. cinderella was a great movie, i agree. i dont have the film but i saw it long ago. anyway, your post was years back. |

^^no, i havent read the fountainhead yet but its on my to-read list. I notice everybody's been raving about the book for years. Civil E: well, not bad in its own way, and female engineers are quite chic, if you ask me. though come to think of it, i wonder why i never see female engineers handling big projects in nigeria, like their male counterparts. Roads, buildings, construction, etc. maybe they're there but i never noticed. |
Romance › Re: My Fiance Says Am Fat. by tpiah: 3:36am On Aug 25, 2010 |
tolutara: "ust last weekend, he complained that some of his friends saw my picture and said I was fat and look older than him. He said he felt bad and that he does not want this to happen again. That I shld make sure I exercise everyday and loose the weight before November. "
That above statement from poster, shows her fiance has no respect for her. I cannot imagine anyone of my Hubby friends would dare make that statement or any other negative statement to my hubby about me without leaving with a smashed mouth )family included. cos he believes if i am trash, i am his trash alone and nobody else to be judged by them.
No only that his friends disrespected his Wife-to-be, he had the audacity to come back and repeat it to her telling never to let that happen again, again those are traits of abusive behaviors.
I hope poster sees why I am concerned. i'm sure he does. |

afam4eva: Which kind deviation be this one. afam4eva: I think Igbos ahve a greater chance to have a president of Igbo exraction by supporting IBB instead of Jonathan. Look at it this way. IBB has shown his likeness for Igbo people in the past despite the fact that he's a northerner. If jonathan wins this election then the Igbos may have to wait a long time cos the seat is more likely to go to the north. afam4eva: I think Igbos have a greater chance to have a president of Igbo extraction by supporting IBB instead of Jonathan. whiteroses: oturugbeke, what does this mean oh she [aloy emeka] is insulting you for daring to say you have an english name and you're from osun state. long story which i wont get into. when she was a female nairalander, aloy emeka used to claim osun so she feels she has exclusive monopoly of the place, for certain reasons. now she and her fellow beer guzzlers have shifted to kwara but still have their crooked eyes on osun. she wants to move on to ondo next but that particular bone may scratch her. anyway, aloy emeka is your "friend" and will always "defend you when necessary" |

Agibecky: God forbid to both.
I love pretty and sexy women with upright bosoms and there is no way I can hold body for 10 years. Not even for one week in my presence. Sexual intercourse for only 5 minutes? God forbid. 5 minutes is too short to enjoy sexual intercourse for me. Four hours daily would do.
I was heading for the seminary, but my destiny changed the plans, because God knows that loving a woman is one of the best things for me. So it is No, No to both conditions. bodi no be wood nah. |
