See how racists in tribalists' garments spoilt a thread that was so informing. It's really a shame on those who are hell-bent on proving superiority of their tribes over another. That's how Hitler started! Whichever of the Nigerian tribes attended Eton or Oxford, you're all here while your country rots and continually becomes unlivable and yet everyday, it's Yoruba this, Igbo that. Not different from the generation they've always blamed! |

FuckTheWorld: Honestly, Obaseki doesn't deserve a second chance. He has very little or nothing to show for, for last four years in power. Same thing with that useless old fooI Oshiomole.
In NIGERIA, WE HAVE ONLY ONE POLICAL PARTY! Forget all these useless names: PDP APC Apga etc.
One day Mr.A is in PDP, tomorrow he joins APC etc.
They are all the same with the same useless ideologies and always comes up to the same results = FAILURE!
Unfortunately, 95% of the youth population are also senseless fools. The only thing an average Nigerian youth does concerning politics is to defend a particular political party out of greed, bigotry, selfishness and ignorance. And this just to squabble for the leftovers and peanuts the old fool generation leaders throws at them. And when they commission any project after must inflations and stealing, the foolish youths will still be praising them as if they used their personal money to do the project.
It's a shame!
The niggarrr below me though... They're all thieves taking advantage of a faulty foundation and a system that is designed to corrupt. Any sane, educated individual who still follows these people needs to be checked (except of course, if they're being paid which make them thieves too). Forget about all the illusions in the system we are practicing, a people at a rudimentary level of social order can hardly succeed practicing our type of democracy. Wouldn't it be better if Nigeria operates a monarchical system where things work? Is democracy the issue or that governance should be beneficient? |

Bacteriologist: Religion makes people comfortable with doing evil DOES NOT mean all religious people do evil. That's you putting words in my mouth and choosing to regurgitate what you beLIEve atheists think about religious people.
You would agree with me that more people have killed and been killed in the name of god than for any other cause. That in itself, is enough, that this belief in a supernatural friend behind the sky has and continues to be an excuse for people to justify their evil tendencies and indeed get away with it.
I agree with you concerning the golden rule.
Because you can't see god doesn't mean it is not there. It also does not mean it is there. But the mere fact that you can't see him, sense him or test for him in any objective way possible says one thing. He most probably doesn't exist.
Heck how do you even know the gender of god to refer to it as "him" when you just admitted to never having seen "him?" Alright, like I say to the other person, I say to you also: don't stop learning and please keep your mind OPEN, WIDE OPEN. |

Danhumprey: Your "edited" part was pointless and made no point, sorry.
That you "were once on the 'journey' to atheism" means nada. Like seriously? What was that supposed to prove? It's you religious folks, in your usual attempts to put words in the mouth of Non-religious folks that keep equating atheism with intelligence.
No one ever said atheism is the height of intelligence, so I really don't even understand why you had to include that, maybe perhaps to cater to your venile insecurities?
And atheists don't express disbelief in God because they can't "see" him. Seriously, grow up and educate yourself on what atheism really means. Alright...don't stop learning though and ensure you keep your mind OPEN. |
Christianity Etc › Re: . by traihit: 2:42pm On Jun 21, 2020 |
Bacteriologist: Atheists get a bad rap for not having a "moral compass." Meanwhile it's the theists who have so-called holy and moral books doing the most reprehensible things.
If you cannot determine right from wrong, you lack empathy not religion. We're all born with a moral compass, and it's called conscience. People have been taught to outsource this moral compass to religious books. And that's why we're here.
Religion does not make people good or better. Religion, in fact, makes people comfortable with doing evil.
Stay away from Christianity, Islam and all other religions people. I disagree with the part that says 'religion makes people comfortable doing evil'. You're implying that every religious person is evil while the ones who don't believe any religion is good right? There's something I want you to understand about black man and gods. The majority of humans especially the blacks only claim gods because they have vacuums to fill, without any need, very few people would still want a god. This is why many developed countries have fewer religious inclination. Meanwhile, those who serve a god because of a personal need can never live a moral life because morality isn't what drove them to god, their needs did. A lot of such people are in Nigeria and this is why it seems that people claim adherents to a religious dogma (because of their need) and they can't live its expectations. I am a Christian and beyond what I will eat or drink, I have discovered the golden rule as the ultimate requirement to have peace in life whether you're a theist or atheist. Edited: I was once on the journey to atheism like some think it is the height of intelligence. It'd be self-deception for me to act like God doesn't exist. That I can't see him doesn't mean that. |

IlovePMB: So what is the way forward? It's time we begin to see ourselves more as a people who have endured years of subjugation, deprivation and personal appropriation of our resources by those who had been lucky to get the reins of power. Our shared history since the era of colonialism to military rule and presently neocolonialism should make us realise we're better united than one. When we discover our oneness, then we'd have a nation and when we have a nation, we'd shed docility and be more responsible for governance. Past criminal and destroyers of our polity won't even be near the lowest position of authority again. |
Politics › Re: Have You Heard Of Ajimobi?? by traihit: 4:37pm On Jun 20, 2020 |
IlovePMB: So the best way to build the nation is by supporting Buhari and APC. To be controlled by godfathers. To be slaves to illiterates. To be ruled by illiterates. Which premise in my post drove you to this conclusion? You people don't have a nation yet and you're mentioning Buhari. Buhari and every government that emerges from this present contraption will only use the advantages of a vast amount of resources, huge docile population and a subjugative constitution for their personal gain. Nothing more. |
Politics › Re: Have You Heard Of Ajimobi?? by traihit: 10:44am On Jun 20, 2020 |
IlovePMB: We have saboteurs from those states you mentioned that was why I did not mention them.
But, let me ask you. Be sincere in answering the following question. If an Igbo man was the vice president of Buhari, would you be in support of APC?
Note, we Igbos would still hate APC and Buhari if his vice was Peter Obi.
Igbos voted Obasanjo against Buhari even when Buhari used Okadigbo as his vice.
Igbos hate religious fanaticism, dictatorship and anything that can enslave mankind.
See how Osinbajo has been reduced to toilet inspector. It pains the Igbos. See how Ambode was disgraced by Tinubu. It pained the Igbos. See how Obaseki has fought and disgraced Oshomole. It glades the heart of a typical igbo man.
Respect the Igbos. They don't have the same DNA make up with you. That you like slavery does not mean we all should be dragged to it. Enjoy your slavery. Igbos want freedom. If any group in Nigeria really has a special DNA like you claimed, we will see it all over them. We won't need you to start preaching "superior DNA" to us. Are there unemployed people in all parts of Nigeria? Yes. Are there places in all parts of Nigeria where there's no electricity? Yes. Are there states in Nigeria not under control of indegenous tribes of the said states? No. Is there a state in Nigeria that doesn't get Federal Government allocation to sustain itself? No. Is crime perpetrated in all parts of Nigeria? Yes. Is there any part of Nigeria that can boast of a viable economy similar to London or Paris or Texas or Arkansas? No. Nigerians are the same no matter the language they speak and the religion they claim. Stop all the noise here and focus on building a nation because you currently don't have one. This is not just for you, it's for every Nigerian who has misplaced tribalism for nationalism. Nigerians need a nation. |

It's not easy to dismiss one's blood and it's not easy to turn a blind eye to someone who'd definitely appreciate help. Except your sister is not enthusiastic about having msc or you really can't trust her at all, that's the only time you can go for your former boss' daughter. Let us be content with what we have, use your hand to work and earn a living it gives you a peace of mind. That little money u may earn with dignity is far far better than this stolen riches without peace of mind.

Good luck husspuppi If poverty shows anyone too much evil, they'd forget about the evils in the love of money. Hence, fear and shame would all be gone. TBH, a lot of young Nigerians find themselves in this very discouraging country at a most desperate time in the world where everybody want maximum freedom. So it's an issue of dog eat dog except the individual goes with his humanity even though hunger holds desperately to him.
