There's only one good way to revenge. Moving on and becoming a better person that she originally thought you'd be when you first met. How costly it is to engage in the ministry of dating without a sound purpose! |
P1PrinceKT:Because inyamiris are the dreamers, action takers and finally owners. They're standing out against all odds of a nation. Tell your tribe's industrialists to empower all those street urchins and the educated unemployed so that you can develop. Leave inyamiris alone. |
Adelakunde:Cos they're better positioned to tell what it means to say "I belong to this country". If you're in the diaspora where everything or nearly everything works and you remember where you come from and how people there have adjusted to the suffering lifestyle as their new normal, what you'd mostly canvass for is a radical change. In the case of Nigeria, restructuring is the better way forward and with our crop of politicians making that difficult because of what they enjoy, a breakup is the next cause. So, if you're in those places too, you'd championing the cause. |
Nackzy:Can you see a picture of Nnamdi Kanu or Sunday Igboho among those people? So why would the army chase them like they've been battling ESN? We all can see why Nigeria is here today. AK-47 is now a common toy to carry around for these people and almost all of them seem comfortable with it. But them no born Amotekun well. Those fighting for their own survival are the 'enemies' of Nigeria while those fighting so that others will not survive are the ones to negotiate with. I don't want to sound unpatriotic here but sincerely, I hope ESN becomes more powerful to the extent that soldiers (with their present corrupt system) will be afraid of challenging them. |
Nackzy:No other better option. 35 years still has a lot of parcels that contains treasures if the op work towards it. But destroying the decades ahead of him through what he calls "satisfaction" is really an irrevocable damage to who he was meant to be. op, go and look for job. No better way to get fulfilment and maintain your dignity as a man. |
HitlerGaddafi:The man even refused worrying himself over a doctorate degree and how do someone become a professor without a doctorate degree? And FYI, I heard that almost/all the staff of his departments (many of whom are professors) were taught by him. He was an archive of knowledge. So it's not about professorship, it's about what you have to offer. Go to UI S.U page on FB and you'll see students posting about him. |
It doesn't matter which tribe is referred to as "intelligent", as long as their roots remain the sh*thole it currently is, their intelligence is useless. Whether you're Yoruba, Igbo, Ibibio, in fact, as long as the tribe is from Nigeria, and they all have similar characteristics of underdevelopment, your intelligence is useless. Don't be deceived by some inconsequential statistics boosting your ego. Transfer those intelligence into building towns, cities and the country you can be proud of and that's when we'll agree you're indeed intelligent. |
80% possibility because the Nigerian unemployment market doesn't recognize people by their class of degree. It majorly recognizes them by their social class and what they've built for themselves. Start building yourself beyond your academic abilities. Look for practical experiences, internships, volunteering opportunities. Find out how to convert your skills into that thing the local engineer does that gives him money. Explore other areas aside engineering: project management, IT, HR etc. Just broaden your horizon and explore. Be that person that can stand in all kinds of weather and above all, be prayerful. With all these, I don't think anybody first class or no first class can be unemployed. |
I think all the big farmers in the Oke-Ogun area should come together and be like this man. Even if they don't have the resources he has individually, they can Garner them collectively. Nigeria is indeed seriously battling an internal enemy and we must take this as it is: war. |
TRDLG01:If Deeperlife agenda is taking over the world for Christ, then you're right but aside that, don't spoil the bright future ahead of you with these lies. |
Tisham20:Did you read all of it? I wish you do. This is more than money to be shared. I don't understand again what is happening to Nigeria. Same problem that got us to this decayed state from the 80s and yet, the problem continues. What if the government just hand off giving out contract and perhaps asking AFDB to handle projects for them and just tell them the cost? It's overwhelmingly sad Nigeria keeps being like this. |
The world has moved on from bread selling. Today it is SMAN and SWAN. Truth is that the kind of sudden fame she gained is not the kind that can be sustained except there's really something special about her that keeps coming and stops the people from getting bored. The 'mummy calm down boy' nko? The social media knows how to make you famous at a point in time but if you don't have what it takes to keep being relevant, some other distractions will turn away people's attention from you. This world is just not static. |
WORDWORLD:The bible says "All is vanity" which means poverty sef is vanity. Depending on which kind of vanity you decide to spend your life in. As for the op, even your life at present becomes vanity when the time comes and you're no more. Same as me. |
Craaaa:Don't be pained nau....If someone is hyping Ronaldo, who stopped you from hyping Messi? Is Ronaldo the one who wrote the post? Why not do the same for Messi instead of being so pained. Kpele....you too should go and hype Messi. |
JoeEeL:One of the reasons I support Jordan Peterson's stance on political correctness. It is just like the biblical whited sepuchres beautiful on the outside but full of dead men's bones on the inside. Feminism, liberal idea of equality as against equity etc are all part of Neo-marxism. On the surface, it is the ideal thing the world is in need of but should we continue like this, even the freedom of speech that the liberals have enjoyed for a longtime will become difficult to express in the future. Only time will tell but honestly, without regulation, no human ideology about government and nature of the society is perfect. |
Macobet:Who is scamming you? Weren't you the one seeking to become an adult in a day, thinking that adults have no problem. Now you're here and you feel like going back to those innocent childhood years where you don't worry over anything except occasional moments you get punished for flouting rules.... ![]() Childhood is really the best time to enjoy life but would you know that except you've become an adult? |
davidinchrist:In that place where it is difficult to find true servants of Christ, in that congregation you call corrupt, among the people you think they are all serving men instead of God, there are still a few souls who have a good relationship with God and that's the case in so many of these churches. Should we say because the world is full of uncertainties then children shouldn't be born? Then why should we run away from church totally because there are fake churches. To the op, not going to church is not a sin but you can't sustain a consistent Christian living for a long time unless you find a local assembly where you can belong to, where you have people to be accountable to and where the words you hear will transform you the more. Being a Christian is not a one day journey, it is lifetime of dedication and readiness to serve God and thus, while relationship with God is purely personal, walking as a lone ranger Christian is very dangerous. If you don't like the doctrines of your church, find another to belong but ensure it's where you can hear God's word, balanced and undiluted. May you never be confused or captured by fake ministers of God. Shalom. |
O je loo wa ise. You better pray that God bless you with a good job this new year so you won't spend your time on Nairaland looking for how to trend. If you're trying to pick a weak spot for some churches in Nigeria as per doctrine, you will waste a good deal of your time doing that about Deeper Life. Those people read the bible front and back and so whatever they say, must have been written over and over again in the Bible. So that you don't fade away like time, go and find a good job and leave churches alone. After all, they're voluntary non-governmental organisations and so they don't determine how your life is lived except you go there and if you go there, I tell you your life experience will change for better. |
TRDLG01:Must be an ex-member from the pit of hell! That church is so open as in, there is nothing hidden or discrete about the church as a whole and this is why you may see some people who are born and bred in the church becoming rebellious and leaving the church at some age because they usually feel as if certain things were overdone. Guess what, those people usually go back to the church voluntarily when they see the outside world. Do you know what a cult means? Then you don't know Deeper Life. |
Tochi3:Simply tell us that your level of sanity does not come close to comprehending the Prof's submission. This is what he said simply: The idea of a train going from Lagos to Abeokuta is good and helps him navigate easily. He can easily talk about Nigeria's problems in bits but for his sanity's sake, he won't talk about Buhari's administration in general because it's as if the administration is inexisting. Which of the statement here is not true if you're not being economical with the truth. That the Buhari administration is the best or that the Lagos-Abeokuta-Ibadan rail is useless? |
heniford2:Shey you sef no see where the woman said they broke/damage/tear her son's anus ni? Is it possible the anus has mended itself before they got to the hospital for medical report? |
Godons1:Congratulations to all of them. Every man for his life. |
You rather should say "Covid-19 vaccine is released and suddenly there's a surge of infections in the world". We don't have to always lookout for something to criticise where there's none. |
Godons1:If he is, he'll probably be looking for a 16 year old to marry and not a 46 year old mum. |
Something that's supposed to be for her husband and her children alone, she's saying they're body shaming her. Is the breast a part of your face everybody must see? If you expose your breat and they body shame you, good for you. If you're wise you will know that what's private is private. |
I love the arguments on this thread. Please keep it coming without the insults. Here's my take: Firstly, we need a strong blueprint and developmental plan for the various states. This should be pursued irrespective of the political party in power. Achievements should only be measured based on how far a governor is able to do in achieving the goals. Secondly, town planning and area mapping should be taken seriously in every state. This will ensure that only the projects mapped out for each district are executed. Thirdly, we need a heavy steel manufacturing firms in Nigeria. We need to be more internally driven towards pursuing individual state objectives. TheresT definitely a lot needed to build 21st century structures but most of all is sincerity and consistency. |
PrinceOfLagos:Thank you |
Seeing comments on this thread, there's nothing to find out about why Nigeria remains like this. This two categories of people form majority of the Nigerian population: 1. Those who can't read and thus remain largely uninformed 2. Those who can read but never do so and thus, they have a very warped idea of reality. Out of this two, the second category is worse Nairaland unfortunately has a lot of them. I'm summary, reading won't kill you so read and if you can't, please don't comment so that we won't say you're foolish. |
CAPSLOCKED:You sounded like you understand what it entails to sin against the Holy Spirit and the unforgiveness that comes with it. Wanna share your understanding of that? |
ttobizz:Is Audu a powerful donkey? How's he going to make Audi enjoyable? |
Strongbest:You don't sound like someone who's lived in Nigeria or conversant with the system. If we've ever had a government that'll do that, the inventions and improvisations of Biafrans during the war should have been some of the major catalysts that'll spur Nigeria to a great developmental level but has there been any interest in those? Governments in Nigeria don't go about looking for the skills of geniuses to harness, they'd rather go about and see where else they can create an opportunity to loot. |
