The issue with such low voltage is the stabilizer huh
Asume you're on 86v converted to 220v, that's 2.56 times conversion. If power suddenly changes to 220v your stabilizer will momentarily output 562V before it reacts to the change. That's is enough to damage some equipments. This happens in milliseconds but some equipments can only withstand such for few microseconds.

Low cost power strips with no self protection for their MOV will catch fire in such situations. Some electrical fires you know nothing about starts this way.

Please listen to oshiomo12 advice.
Now i know why my digital battery charger caught fire when connected to stab twice.... I later learnt somwhere that it shouldn't be connected to stab and it will work fine, but i have been stumped as to why that advice..... It all suddenly makes sense now.

I get like 50v on some days and my stab can't even up it past like 70-80v...then it suddenly jumps to 110v or thereabouts. Mstchewww... Uselessness

Your best bet is with the Express Entry class especially if u are a graduate. Read up on it and see if u are eligible. www.cic.gc.ca. That's the Canadian immigration site. Check out to 'immigrate' and see the 'Express Entry'. Goodluck.
Thanks boss...I am already reading up, following forums and asking from those who have gone there. But knowledge can never be too much.

Thanks for your advice

Way to go! Just be patient and read up, you will get answer to almost every question you may have.

For instance, here is a link to list of acronyms used in the process. This answers the question you just raised now.

Here is Kijiji, a popular website here in Canada where we buy most cars we ship to Nigeria (although we buy at Auctions at times). I have filtered for RX 350 2007.

Hello Boss.... Are you based in Canada? I'm looking at relocating there for permanent residency as a skilled worker. Dont know if you went with same route? And if you could give me tips on what to look out for both processing my papers and even living there actually.

Thanks and expecting your kind response.

Wow.... This thread is long oh.

Hello guys. Well done for allnthe guides and helps given here.

Biko, I AM NEW HERE OH. kindly advise me.

I am a working engineer here and just recently decided to take this relocation thing seriously after loosing my dad last May to a failed medical system here. I think my kids deserve a better life and chance at life if i can manage to secure one for them. I am currently unmarried too.

So, i have been told that I need to write IELTS exam, prepare a profile and wait to be invited by Canada. My question is this, where am i to start from and are there any fine details one needs to be aware of before starting the whole process?

I already know about the exam fees and even gotten some test centre addresses closest to me.

I will be applying as a skilled worked and not for studies.

I plead with you all to assist a brother.

Thanks.

Thanks Boss, I know about the smart charger but nice to hear of a cooling fan as well.
If those 2 are taken care of, do you see the APC UPS with a smart charger outperforming the Hybrid Inverters?

Also what about battery health and longevity. Will the UPS charge and utilize the batteries optimally and efficiently.

Thanks a lot.
I know most UPS have an efficiency of around 60-70%. If inverters have a higher efficiency then you may be better off going with that. If going on a very tight budget, go for a cheap chinese PWM inverter as some of them claim efficiency of up to 80%.

@trippledots, is your shipper on nairaland?
Lstar had fair rates of 7usd per kg b4, now he charges 10 to 15usd per kg, so its no longer attractive.

Whats your shippers rate
As at last month, I was told $6/kg.

That third party thingy is still somehow to me sha. I don't know how effective it is especially with the terrible reviews I heard of "shoptomydoor" which one would expect to be a model to assess the viability of third party shippers. In fact I was already registered on their website but I had to begun to divert their mails from my inbox to trash.
I used tugrow once. Although we had some issues with delay in clearing the items which unfortunately seems to be his Achilles heels, but i eventually got my items.. He was apologetic over the inconvenience when i got to his office too.... The choice of logistics is yours eventually though.

PowMr no get version releases bro. grin
They just dey produce dey go. I fear if they decide to go the version way, it'll be a way to increase the price whereas all those version thingy na just a sweet-mouthing method to increase price.

MakeSkyBlue used to have fair prices like powMr with their version 113, but as soon as they begun their version 117 and 118 WiFi wàhálà their prices doubled that of PowMr.

Funny enough the two manufacturers are always at each other's neck one branding the other as making inferior imitation.

I own the two types - one 60A MakeSkyBlue and two PowMr. They are same form factor but with slight variations in info display and recently the inclusion of WiFi capability in the version 118 of MakeSkyBlue. Also when MakeSkyBlue reaches float, the screen blue light brightens up and the displayed info repeatedly alternates between battery voltage - Panel voltage - Temperature - load power. PowMr does not do that.

Performance of the two is at par in my opinion. On price, I don fashi MakeSkyBlue tey tey.

In fact, two weeks ago, I placed an order for another two units of PowMr 60A in prep for 48v upgrade. Now 32k including standard shipping due to covid19-dollar synergism (used to be 25k). I paid around 7k more for expedited delivery via DHL as standard shipping has been negatively impacted with Corona problem. MakeSkyBlue tops at 70k each.

PowMr 60A is available on Jiji and Jumia for around 45k.
Using an offline, third party shipper may reduce your price significantly.

I am currently trying to negotiate for a 1.5kw (3kw surge) pure sine wave inverter with charger for around $105 from an AE seller but offline.. Their shipping is about $60 but I have a shipper that may be able to land it for not more than $20-$30 max....available inverters in Nigeria for same capacity is from 70k and above.

My only fear now is reliability...i dont intend to abuse or over load it so i am hoping it should serve me for a while before it packs up.

Besides generating more heat any other downside using modified sine wave to power fridge.
Electronic service life will reduce, Fire hazards., lower efficiency on some models resulting in significant loss of usable electrical power.

200watts poly cost 30k each.
For the fact that an inverter is modified sine wave does not mean it can't power heavy loads, it only means the quality of its output power or wave quality is not purely sinusoidal. This can only be detected by some highly sensitive loads like computers etc. I have used a modified wave inverter to power Air Conditioner.

Many thanks sir
Also add that it generates relatively more heat when used to power inductive loads like motors, fridges, ACs.. Etc

Buy the cable. It's sold in the market... But for a dirty quick fix, you can use two copper wires as ur plug and insert them into the left and right holes for the socket

Soft starter may not work for fridge/freezer cos of compressor. It will work for pump and some type of motor load.

If you reduce the voltage/frequency too much it will stalled and forego the startup process.
Compressors have motors that spin them...Here is the video of the soft starter i am talking about.
