Empiree:If the guy identify himself as a Muslim, why the doubt from you? You may not like his brand of Islam or him being critical of certain Islamic beliefs but take his words as it is with respect to his religious affiliation. Empiree:Obama said and I quote: 'America is no longer a christian nation'. Obama also said: 'Islam has always been part of the US'. Using Obama as a yardstick for Islamic thought, Muslims always choose to render the west anything they deem fit based on circumstances and event. The president of Turkey, Tayyip Edorgan, said that the US was founded my Muslims and that the Christians in the US are late comers and settler, who do I believe? Obama, Edorgan or you? On the saudi killings in Yemen, please dont blame the west. The sauidis are buying weapons they don't need and no one forces them to buy. The Saudis already has religious and political leverage over hundreds of millions of Muslims; they dont need to spend billions of dollars on US weapon to get their security. And if they kill Yemenis with a US-made weapon, don't blame the US but the Saudis for the sufferings of the Yemeni people. And remember, Iran is also armed by the Russians and these weapons are being used in Yemen to, against the saudi-backed regime. Empiree:It is first a religious thing which has also turned a cultural thing. In Kano, girls as young as 13 already have 2 children for older men, and remember the story of baby Aisha and Mohammed. Empiree:Almost all the Arab world are migrating to the US and Europe. You cant convince me that all the Muslim world are in crisis; hijra is a religious duty in Islam. Remember the exodus of Mohammed from mecca to Medina; the migration of the fulanis to the hausalands. The pattern remain the same with or without conflict. Empiree:Oppression, unfotunatley, is part of human nature. If God shift power to the Muslim world, they will also oppress the kafir. The Muslims/Arabs had done it before and will do it again if they have the opportunity. Empiree:Provide the Bible verse to support your claim. |
Oshin56:OK. |
Empiree:'usermane' identified as a Muslim and I have no reason/evidence to believe otherwise. Empiree:What's the relationship between the atrocities the Saudi government is committing against religious minorities, in the name of religion/sharia, and the activities of the western power? I highlighted the ills in sharia and you drag the west into it, I can;t get how you guys reason at times. Empiree:You come again; blame others to deflect the argument. The fact remains that child marriage is ingrained in Islamic culture and the adherents are doing their best to follow the way of the prophet. I used northern Nigeria as a case study because you are likely a Nigerian and would most likely be familiar with Hausa and Fulani culture. Empiree:Muslims are protected 'species' in the west while Christians are endangered 'species' in the Arab/Muslim world. This is a known fact. Muslims are allowed to migrate, en mass, to the infidel west while christian can never migrate the ummah Arab/Muslim world (except to dubai for picnic) . And you know what, alomost all the western media encourage Muslim migration to the west as part of what they call 'multiculturalism' or 'cultural enrichment'. When the New Zealand terror attack happened, Obama, Hillary Clinton, etc call it 'attack against Muslim worshipers' but when the Sri Lanka Islamic terror occured, Obama and Hillary Clinton called it 'Easter Worshipers' attack. Can you see how the refused to name the victims as Christians while the quickly identified the victims in the New Zealand attacks as 'Muslims'? Empiree:Ok, it is a Judeo CHRISTIAN military invasion of Muslim lands. The Ottoman also invaded Judeo Christian lands at the height of their military might. The rightly guided khalif did the same. As I said earlier, the world is a jungle and the lions will continue preying on weaker animals. Empiree:The beret is never a religious symbol, unlike the hijab. Stop dragging issues that are not necessary. |
budaatum:What about the Islamic terrorism in Sri Lanka this Easter where almost 300 Christians died from suicide bombing? |
Alhajiemeritus:What the guy is simply asking for is a secular history to collaborate the alleged quranic evidence. |
IMAliyu:The hadith can never be considered a book of history because it a a mere narration by people that were assumed to be close to the Islamic prophet. Pieces of disorganized narrations by about 50 people can never be used as a source of history. A material whose adherants had also graded as 'weak', 'fabricated' and 'authentic' can not be used as a source of history because of the thousands of bias it will contain. |
Empiree:You guys always try to drag Christianity into an argument that seems embarrassing to Islam. The topic is '25 sharia law breaching human right' and the person that opened the thread is still a Muslim, why drag Christianity into the matter? The last time I checked, Saudi Arabia still kills/imprisons apostates, behead people in the public, cut hands of petty thieves (while the Saudi princes steal and launder billions of dollars abroad). These are sunnah of the proohet; they are simply following the ways of the prophet. Millions of Muslims still engage in child marriage. Northern Nigeria has one of the highest incidence of child marriages in the world because the believed Mohammed did it hence find justification in doing that from the prophet. On people's right to their belief, the corrupt western media (BBC, CNN, MSNBC, NYT, etc) spend all their energies attacking the Catholic church while shielding Islam. Most of the media houses in the US and Europe are subsidized by the Saudi and Qatari government to protect the image of Islam. And FYA, I am against western military intervention in the Arab world. The point is that both the Western world and the Arab world are bad in terms of oppressing the weak. The Islamic caliphate will do the worst if they are in the position of the Christian west (the Christian west is also evil). And for the hijab, every institution has a dress code but the Muslims have politicize the hijab worldwide; it is now not only a religious symbol, but also a political symbol. The Iranian and the Saudi government will jail any woman, according to the sharia law, who doesn't wear the hijab. You don't politicize and Arabian cultural outfit, that mental slavery and stupidity. In abuja, you are likely to get a better service in the ministry once you wear the hijab; the belief is that there is a high tendency that you are either an Hausa or Fulani lady. On a final note, the world is like a jungle where lions eat/oppress all the weak animals. |
najib632:Don't be upset with me; just look at the rational side of things. It's like a Christian who visit Jerusalem and come back to tell me that he came back with a piece of cloth which Jesus wore. Or a Christian who visits Israel and come back with water from river Jordan. I used to take them serious when I was younger but I now see that it's all nonsenses. The zam-zam water fall into the same category as above. How can Muslims preach against shirk and still tell me of the 'miracles' of zam-zam water Is that not shirk? It is true that hundreds of Millions of Muslims have been drinking from the water, even before modern science, but I can tell you, with all sense of honesty, if the zam-zam well water is not purified, well treated and any iron and acidic contents removed, people will be falling sick and some will develop different kind of water-related sicknesses from taking the water. Religion should not make us irrational. We have thousands of wells in many part of the world that people have been drinking water from for hundreds of years, so what's the big deal about the zam-zam well, except for religious gratification! Go and check the life expectancy of people that lived within the perimeter where the zam-zam well is sited about 200-400 years ago, when the water was not treated, and now and you will see the difference. About 200 years ago, the people that lives closer to the water and used it for both domestic and spiritual need have a shorter life-span than the current generation. What do you think can responsible for that? I tell you, it is many variable and the type of water they consume cannot be ignored. |
Empiree:I don't think you need dwell much on 'usermane' but on the issue at hand. The topic is not about any person and all man has every right to his belief. |
tintingz:That's simple plagiarism and in this modern era Mohammed and his sahabas would be sued for copyright violation. You can't lift another man's work without authorization and still arrogant to call yours the 'most authentic from Allah'. |
najib632:Who supervised the documentation of the Quran and what audit measure did they put in place to avoid errors? How can you call a material perfect when the source documents were burnt? How can be reconcile what we have in the Quran against the original source documents that were written on stones, bones, camel skin, leaves, skins of some sahabas, etc. Was Mohammed around to supervise the final compilation and documentation of the Quran? |
tintingz:I think he is new on nairaland; he is very much welcome to where religion is rationalised and dissected. |
lukui:'Tintinz' asked a valid question that requires a rational response and not an emotional outburst. |
Oshin56:Yes it was adulterated because Mohammed never asked his sahabas to compile his alleged 'revelations' as a single book. In fact Mohammed will be hell shocked if he wakes up and see what you guys call the Quran of today. Who created the chapters and the verses of the Quran? Who made it into 116 chapters? Who wrote al-fatiha, Mohammed, Allah or the sahabas (read al-fatiha Quran 1:1-7)? Why did Uthman ibn affan burn some copies (the original manuscripts) of the Quran? Did other sahabas agree with the 'uthmanic' version of the Quran? Are there verses in the Quran that were cancelled (sahih Bukhari 4:52:69, 3:31:170)? Why are there laws in the hadith (sunnan ibn majjah 1944) but were omitted in the Quran? etc. Answer the questions above and tell me/us if the Quran has not been adulterated. |
lukui:Can you prove this claim using the Quran and the hadith and not what your imam told you at the mosque? |
Empiree:He is not a 'damn joke'; I think he only has a paradigm shift in terms of how he views Islamic religion. I have seen so much shift like this on nairaland. He only 'reviewed' some Islamic beliefs and decided to take a rational view on them. Besides, 'usermane' is 100% entitled to his belief without any form of intimidation and bigotry. |
Empiree:I am confused; I thought 'usermane' is a Muslim. He has been defending Islam on nairaland for over 5 years, what could have gone wrong? |
AryEmber:Which title? |
Khaleell001:Yes, Mohammed said that women are deficient in reasoning. |
Ngasky:Usermane is a Muslim. If one is not a Muslim, that does not make him a Christian automatically. |
olaitan9291:Stop fooling yourself. Dasuk's travail was as a result of the old wound Buhari had to open. Dasuki was used by Babangida to punish Buhari and Buhari is only taking his revenge on Dansuki. You think you are dealing with babies? The people I blame are docile Christians who still support this jihadist regime, especially south west Christians. The Muslims, worldwide, know how to play their games, especially when/where Christians are involved while the so-called self-righteous Christians either ignore the Islamic deceit or suddenly developed anesthesia on Islamic ways of operation. I am never a fan of Yakubu Gowon but on this issue I agree with him; the Yorubas are being used by the Fulanis for a complete conquest of the south. |
Rilwayne001:Provide a logical argument why Muslim apostate is ignorant of Islam while a new convert is not. This is so simple and a straightforward challenge. |
seunmsg:Face the issue at hand and stop deflecting. This is a stealth Islamic jihad which we have seen for a long time. The prophet of Islam said and I quote: WAR IS DECEIT! Only the gullible will not seen the religious dimension in this issue. |
correctyourself:If you are a 'Christian' then you are a Yoruba 'Christian' who will support even Hitler as long as your are benefitting from a bad and evil system. That's how the cosmic forces make you guys to behave and I fully understand and it's never your doing to be treacherous in nature. That aside, this is a clear-cut stealth Jihad at play, using a so-called VP 'pastor' as a shield in their quest for a total political control and also for a religious conquest, using their 'sophisticated' conspirators (useful idiots) who are power hungry for 2023. |
Approved by the 'holy prophet' (Qur'an 4:34). It is the sunnah of the 'prophet'. |
Empiree:You quite know that hundreds of millions of Christians hold doctrines diametrically opposite what the Catholics believe. The Protestant churches didn't hold that belief, "Mary mother of God", neither did the Bible. We believe in the Bible and not the Catholic creed. The same way millions of shia will condemn some aspects of sunni beliefs, the non-catholic Christians also repudiate many unscriptural Catholic beliefs and practices. On the spirit from Allah issue, you are a product of the Union between your parents and you are never from 'any spirit from Allah'. You and i do not have any divine conception without sexual intercourse prior birth. Don't write your own Quran. |
tintingz:The guy is deceiving himself and I think he is new on nairaland. He wants to do 'dawah' to his bosses on nairaland. |
They won't because it doesn't serve any religious, ethnic or political purpose to them. They will only react if they were of other ethnic nationality, except Hausa, Fulani or Yoruba. |
Empiree:I am not a Catholic and the teaching "Mary mother of God" is against mainstream Christian teaching. Jesus, according to the Quran, is the spirit of Allah. What's the difference between 'the spirit from Allah' and Allah himself? Are you also a spirit from Allah? Is Mohammed a spirit from Allah? |
Empiree:Saying "Mary mother of God" is also blasphemous and should be condemned. The Catholics veneration of saints is also a form of idolatry, together with some Muslim sects 'worshipping' at the grave of Mohammed, Imam Ali, Imam Hussein, and some other religious figures. |
tintingz:That's it. I know many so-called former imams who have left Islam. I know of a pastor who stopped going to church. It's not by force to stay in any religion and thank God we are not in Saudi Arabia where leaving Islam is tantamount to wanting to commit suicide. |
