Many Nigerian students these days often move quickly to queue for private universities when making a choice of institution. I agree that private universities have advantages like the absence of strike, easy access to lecturers… Well, that’s about all.

Public universities, federal and state, have a lot of advantages, from cheaper school fees, to the freedom to be an adult. Public universities expose you to the real world, introduces you to the hustle of life unlike private universities that consist of a lot of brats who are literally spoon-fed. They are so pampered, ​making difficult to face the real world when they become graduates.
So here’s my case for choosing a public university.

1. Public universities allow for freedom and independence:

Students in public universities enjoy the freedom to make decisions for themselves and learn to be almost independent. Private universities keep students within the four walls of their campuses and under certain rules more suited for teenagers than young adults. The laws in public universities are not imposed on the students; they are just the basic principles a normal student is meant to follow. It’s funny when I see pictures of private university students being punished or hear of certain rules like compulsory attendance of chapel, feeding time tables, dress codes, etc.​.​ It is absurd; these are adults​!​

2. Cost of education:

It is a lot cheaper to attend public university than a private one and this is not limited to school fees. Cost of living on public universities is also cheaper. Students cook their own meals and hav​e access to shops on campus and in town where prices of goods and services are competitive. On the other hand, the cost of living on a private university secluded campus for one semester is enough to build a house.

3. Public university g​ives “exposure” to students:

It’s more than obvious that public university students are ​”​sharper​”​ than private university students. Private university students who are often referred to as “JJC” or “Learners” by public university students, live what I term “the microwave life” which is the easy life. In federal universities you get to meet all sorts: from cultists to Aristo chicks, people with different personalities. It makes one exposed to what life really is. One is exposed to the hustle and learns how to struggle for things. There are still brats in federal universities but most of them get to grow up when exposed to the hustle.

4. Life on and off campus is FUN:

There are so many parties to attend, clubs and events. One gets to meet real people, one also learns to be real. There is a lot of gist and gossip, lot of things to laugh at. Rather than chapel, it’s clubbing. Dating is even fun in federal schools. Couples express love without fear as adults. One gets to see students that are rich and poor mingling as equals; students who express themselves through their dressing and not relegated to some uniform.

5. Hard work is compulsory:

Students in public universities have work​ed​ through exceptional odds to succeed; challenges that help one not take life for granted. Imagine a department of over a thousand students with a very small lecture hall or a lecturer who spends only twenty minutes in a class where he is meant to spend two hours, or one who only gives handouts. Faced with issues like these, students work extra hard to come out with well-deserved results.

6. Public universities produce more mature graduates:

With all the challenges: strikes, nonchalant lecturers, freedom to express yourself as adult etc., public universities are more equipped for life after graduation. They know that things would not just be handed to them and are used to making decisions for themselves. -

How my post is relevant is this. Christians believed that Bible in what the Quran is referring to but not.

Secondly, where God told us to believe in the book revealed before the Quran, does not mean we are to follow it but to believe that truly those books of revelation were before in existence and Truely are revealed to the past prophets. The Quran has superseded all other Holy books revealed to those past prophets. So, God almighty have decided to preserve the Quran since the Quran will be the last Testament to all mankind and Jinn as well. Due to the promise of God to preserve the Quran, that is why the Quran is still in its original form of its revelation. And it will be preserve till the end of time.

Thirdly, when we say a book has been corrupted, it means the original message has been tampered with or what is been presented is not or totally different from the original book revealed.

So, the originality of Torah and Injil (not bible) have been lost due to the way we human beings decided to always disobey God. Example of true teachings of christ is the preaching of oneness of God as you can see in book called Gospel of Mark 12: 28-33.

So, the essence of quoting the above verses of the bible is that all prophets of God believed that God is one. The priest that asked Jesus the first commandment were asking based on Torah with them. Just to be sure Jesus is Truely a prophet of God. Because all prophets of God preaches that there is only one God, the apha and omega.

So, God almighty is not recommending the Torah or the Bible for Muslims to follow, because the Quranic messages have superseded those of the Torah and Injil. But, to acknowledge that those books have been revealed to earlier prophets be him.

Lastly, you Christians believe or concept of God is to shallow. Even when the bible says, with God all things are possible.
We Muslims do not believe that the knowledge of God is bound by space and time. The knowledge of God almighty is all encompassing, without bound. He has the knowledge of the past, present and future. He has the knowledge of what is visible and what not is visible to mankind. He has the knowledge of what he hidden and what is exposed. He has the knowledge of what you about to think of in the next microsecond or time smaller than that. He has the knowledge of what occupies every space on earth and the heavens. His knowledge is all encompassing. Not bound by space and time.

Explanation:

2:136 This verse also relates the cosmopolitan nature of Qur’ânic teaching. All prophets of Allâh and all revelations coming from Him must be accepted; no distinction is to be made between one prophet and any other. The Holy Qur’ân recognizes the prophet of the Jews and the Christians, and the prophets of all the other nations. The Jew thinks that God revealed the truth only to the Israelites; The Christian thinks that the truth was revealed only to Jesus; The Hindu thinks that God revealed the truth only to the sages of India and Zoroastrian thinks that the truth was revealed to Zoroaster alone. The Buddhists are no different. It is part of the merit of Islam that it is the only religion that recognizes the prophets of all countries and of all nations, and of all times.

The Holy Qur’ân thus requires a belief not only in its own truth, but in the truth brought by the previous messengers and their Scriptures. It thus infuses a spirit of allegiance and reverence not only to Moses and Jesus, but also to all others with their founders; whether they be Krishna, Confucius, Lao Zi or Buddha. Mâ unzila min qablikوَمَا أُنزِلَ مِن قَبْلِكَ indicates the acceptance that we must have towards other religions and fosters feelings of great respect. Hindus, Christians and Jews, while claiming Divine origin of their faith, deny this generosity to the adherents of other faiths. This becomes the root cause of hatred between the nations and has often resulted in untold bloodshed. The Holy Qur’ân eradicates the very idea leading to discord and dispute between nations and religions. It teaches that every nation has been blessed with a teacher from Allâh (35:24; 2:80). In these words there is a declaration that all the prophets in various lands came from Allâh and brought the same light from One Divine source. Or was it after the statements allah discovered that they were corrupted? Muslims have some explanations to make to clear the quran of inconsistencies in this area.

We Muslims have clear understanding of what the Quran says. Mere looking at what you type in your post already shows you are trying to translate the verse of the Quran to suite your bigot mind. See below the true translation and explanation of one of the verses you quoted below:

Quran 10:94. And if you (O reader!) are in doubt regarding that which We have revealed to you, ask those who have read this Book (- the Qur’ân) before you. (They will tell you that) there has, in fact, come to you the perfect truth from your Lord, so be not of the contenders at all.

فَإِن كُنتَ فِي شَكٍّ مِّمَّا أَنزَلْنَا إِلَيْكَ فَاسْأَلِ الَّذِينَ يَقْرَءُونَ الْكِتَابَ مِن قَبْلِكَ ۚ لَقَدْ جَاءَكَ الْحَقُّ مِن رَّبِّكَ فَلَا تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمُمْتَرِينَ

Explanation:

10:94 “And if you are in doubt”(فَإِن كُنتَ فِي شَكٍّ); in doubt is that particular reader of the Holy Book who because of his limited Divine knowledge is unable to grasp the underlying meanings and the message. If someone is unable to understand the message being conveyed, he is advised to refer to the explanation given by the people blessed with Divine knowledge. As such people may be difficult to find in the age of the reader, the reader is told to refer to the explanations given by the learned of the past; “who were before him”. This verse is under attack by Christian missionaries, and is one of their favourite to try and prove that the Holy Prophet was in great doubt, so he should consult the learned of the past; Christians and Jews. Some simple minded Muslims get easily convinced and are misled with this argument and start to think that the Holy Prophet (pbuh) is being addressed here,however, this is not the case. Neither 94 nor 95 are being addressed to the Holy Prophet (pbuh), but to the readers of the Holy Qur'ân endowed with less knowledge and weak in belief. The meaning of this becomes clear when we read the admonition in verse 95: “Be not of those who cry lies to the messages of Allâh” (Râzî). The Holy Prophet never cried lies to the messages he received from the Exalted One. It is the reader who out of lack of knowledge and misunderstanding rejects the messages of the Holy Qur’ân. Moreover, in the words, “Which We have revealed to you” no doubt tells us that the recipient of the Revelation was the Holy Prophet and not the reader; still it is not a proof that the Holy Prophet is being addressed here. Careful reading of the following verses makes the subject matter clear. The opening words of the next section we read: “Say, O you people! If you are in doubt regarding my creed,” (10:104) refer to those addressed in 10:94. I think the problem of you Christians is high level of ignorance. That is why Jesus, according to you bible, says most of his people will perish because they are ignorant.

In Islam, bible is never referred to as the word of God but the Injil. The injil is the scripture revealed to Prophet Isa (Jesus christ) and not the bible. The word Bible is derived from the Greek word biblo, which means collection of books. While the injil, some translate it as Gospel.

That is why you will see in the beginning of the books that comprises the new Testament, "Gospel According to".

Note the word "According To". For instant, Gospel According to Mark.

In English language, the word "According to" means that what so and so says or believed in but not necessarily the person narrating it believed in it. So, the book "Gospel According to Mark,", that is part of the New Testament, is a book written by someone on what Mark believes or narrated of the teachings of Jesus. Such narration is not God's word. If you carefully, without any iota bigotry in you mind and head, study the Qur'an, you will understand the difference between the word of God and words of narration by men, which your bible represents.

I think you should wonder how you women of today thinks. That is why there is the need for two people going into marriage should first go for counselling before marriage.

Marriage is about mutual responsibility. The duty of a man in a marriage is to fetch for the family the financial needs, while the responsibility of the woman in a marriage is home keeping which include the children upbringing. The end result of we human trying to change God design is this kind of problem of children being kidnapped.

I am not saying women should not have a source of income. But the source of income shouldn't be the type that will prevent her from carrying out her primary responsibility in her matrimonial home.

To me this act of women going out to source financial income with men, from morning till night, leaving the home to a stranger is totally not civilization but a way we create more problem to ourselves in the society.

The Quran did not confirm the Bible. The Quran only confirms the true book called Injil given to Jesus by God Almighty and not the bible. That is why, God inform the Muslims in the Quran that, if what you call the word of God, why there is discrepancies in it. That is, if the bible is truly holy and from God, the discrepancies and inconsistencies in the bible won't be there in the bible in the first place.

The position of the Quran is clear. Jesus christ is a prophet and messenger of God sent only to the children of Israel only and not to the whole world.

He is not God nor Son of God but a prophet and a messenger given a holy book called Injil (ie The Gospel) and not Bible. The bible means collection of books.

He is alive and not crucified by anybody. He did not die for anybodies sin. Even the bible made us to understand that he(Jesus) did not want to die. That is why, according to the bible, he said while on the cross: God, God why did you forsake me. Which means he did not expect God to abandon him when he needs God to rescue him from the hands of those that planned to killed him through crucifixion.

So, there is no plan between him and God to die for anybody sins. This is a misconceptions.

Who says the bible is holy? Do you know the meaning of the word bible. Bible means collection of books. So, you need to ask yourself if the books collected together were holy and divine before the bible can be address as being only.

So, from the teachings of Islam, Jesus christ is still coming back on earth. He is coming back not as a prophet again but as a follower of prophet Muhammad on a special assignment which he is going to complete before his death

1. What is the Concept of God in Christianity?

2. Who is Jesus? God, Son of God, Son of Man?

3. If the word Christian derived from christ, which means follower christ. Then what are we going to call Jesus christ himself?

4. Following the question 3 above, what is the religion of christ.

5. Why do we have gospel "ACCORDING TO" Mark, Matthew, Luke, John etc and not Gospel "BY" JESUS or "ACCORDING TO" JESUS? Not even gospel BY Mark, Matthew, Luke, John etc?

God is the creator of heavens and earth, who has no beginning and end, and who has shown His love as a Father to us by sending His ONLY Son to die for our death.

Both and not only these because Jesus has many names & titles and they all signify to something.

If Jesus is both, why the statements in the following verses from the bible?
A) Matthew 17: 13-17
13. When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi, he asked his disciples, “Who do people say the Son of Man is?”
14. They replied, “Some say John the Baptist; others say Elijah; and still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets.”
15. “But what about you?” he asked. “Who do you say I am?”
16. Simon Peter answered, “You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God.”
17. Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.

B). Matthew 15: 1-5
1.Then some Pharisees and teachers of the law came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked,
2. “Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They don’t wash their hands before they eat!”
3. Jesus replied, “And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition?
4.For God said, ‘Honor your father and mother’ a and ‘Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death.’
5. But you say that if anyone declares that what might have been used to help their father or mother is ‘devoted to God,’
6. They are not to ‘honor their father or mother’ with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition.

C). Matthew 19: 16-17
16. And Behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall i do, that i may have eternal life?
17. And he said unto him, why callest thou good? there is none good but one, that is God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

From the few quoted verses from the bible above, Jesus never claim to be God but address himself as Son of Man. While his disciple address him as Son of God.

The Master who gave His life as a ransom to many.

I don’t think you are paying attention to my questions. That is why I requested for a knowledgeable Christian to answer my question. Did you pass your English Exam(s) at all?
May be I should reframe the question for you: If the word Christian is derived from Christ, which means followers of Christ. Is Jesus a Christian as well? That is, follower of himself?

Judaism.

If the religion of Jesus Christ is Judaism, why do we have another religion called Christianity?

Gospel simply means "Good News" so if you complete it, it will read "The GOOD NEWS ACCORDING TO Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John
Jesus didn't write any book but don't confuse the meaning of GOSPEL with BOOK, the life of Jesus is the GOSPEL itself.

Allah said he gave Jesus The Gospel have you ever asked yourself what is the GOOD NEWS given to Jesus is all about?

Just as I have said, you are not paying keen attention to the questions. It is either you lack the understanding of English language, Ignorant about the religion of Christianity, beating of the bush, or trying to skip the content of the question. Because, I am not asking you what is the meaning of Gospel.
If you look at my question properly, I highlighted the words “ACCORDING TO” and “BY”.
In English language, when you say “According To”, it means someone else is narrating event or what someone else believes in. In other words, the person narrating it may not necessary believe in it but just narrating the event or believe of the person he is narrating. For instance, Gospel According to Mark, means there is someone that write down what Mark believes about what Jesus preaches. And Definitely, notMark that wrote the Gospel himself and probably not withness the written of the Gospel.
While, “By” means the Gospel is written by Mark himself.
