I had the same experience just like yours. I leaved in Ikorodu and my place of work is in Victoria Island.

To me I do leave my house by 4:30 am and get to Victoria Island by 5:20 am to 5:40 am. Getting to Victoria Island depends on the time I could get to Agric bus stop to get a bus going to Victoria Island.

At first, I used to leave my house around 5am to 5:30 am. I had to adjust the time I leave the house just to meet up with subhi time in Victoria Island. While adjusting the time I leave the house I discovered that there are lots of people going to Victoria Island like me. Some going with their car or bus, picking passengers on the way. Thereafter, i discovered that there is someone that use to go to Victoria Island by 4:30 am to 4:45am, residing just opposite my street gate. Since then, I do join him to Victoria Island everyday.

Till now I still have the man's number.

Yes, President Buhari cannot take credit for the refineries that are working now because there is nothing wrong with our refineries. Bad governance from GEJ administration prevented the refineries from producing by denying the refineries crude oil to refine.

As at January this year 2015, a friend of my working in Warri refinery told me that the crude that should be a located to the refinery till June 2015 had been sold out. So, there is nothing for them to refine till after the month of June 2015.

In Islam, giving of alms are meant for the needy generally. The needy Islam is talking about are not people go about begging for alms nor staying at a known spot for begging. So, the following are the needy Islam is referring to:

1. A poor person that finds it difficult to make ends meet and rely on God to alleviate his suffering and not resorting to begging.
2. A sick person that find it difficult to pay bills.
3. A traveller that got stranded, one way or the other, in the course of his or her journey. The person may not necessarily be a poor person as a rich person could also be stranded if rubbed off his possession by armed robbers on his way to his or her destination.
4. It alms can be used to sponsor poor people's children to school.
5. The alms can also be use to setup a poor person a business so that he or she could be able to pay alms the following year. That is a means of taking the poor out of poverty.

Islam detest begging in its entirety. As the prophet of Islam have said people who take to begging are consuming fire into their belly. He has also bought an axe for someone that he saw begging and other him to use it to cut firewood from the bush and sell. He told him that is better for him than going about begging for alms.

Same here Bro. There are times I stay awake till 4 or 5am. This unemployment issue is burning me out seriously. I only sleep well if I take enough alcohol in the evening. I'm almost becoming an "Ogogoro Junkie".

Moreover, the pictures posted by the OP are NLNG facilities. Where you have so many lights on is the plant area call IA (Industrial Area). Where the buildings are is the Residential Area (RA). Where those ladies are is the RA golf course.

Inside the main town, finima and bonny town, is not different from getto area. Always flooded when rain falls.

The only beautiful thing about bonny island is the 24/7 light supplied by NLNG and Shell to the Island.

House is very expensive. A self contained apartment goes for 120k to 180k.

Bonny Island could have been a better place for tourist visit if the people are people with vision.

The local government collect lots of money from NLNG but nothing to show for it in their town. Expecting NLNG to do everything for them.

To support my statement, i will narrate a true life story to you of my personal experience.
While I was serving as NYSC Corp member, a group of guy approach me in the school I was teaching then and to me they want to become Muslims. By my usual practice, i asked them why do they want to become a muslim. To me this question is very important to ascertain they did not join Islam with any other intention except to Truely worship God almighty the way He should be worshiped. And truly recognising the true message of Islam. Likewise, to correct any wrong things they might have heard and explain to them the true teachings of Islam.
To my dismay, the answer they gave as the reason to want to join IIslam is that: they said they hard if they become a muslim, they will become rich.
Just as I have said earlier, worldly things enticed them to practice a religion. You see the way they are trooping to Christianity just to get one miracle. The miracle to become rich or establishing a church to collect tithe to enrich themselves out of the ignorant people looking for miracle. Even when Jesus has said in the bible that: it is the ignorant and wicked generation that seek after signs or miracle.

Allah has informed us in the Holy Qur’ân that He is going to test us. The test is not limited to anything. He can test us with joblessness, wealth, poverty, children, barrenness, position, physical disabilities etc. They more you move closer to Allah, the more the test from him. But, Allah has promised us that He is not going to test us with what we can not bare. That is, He is not going to place on us any burden beyond our capacity.

Their are a lots of Christians out there without job. Even, she that introduced you to her pastor, if she is not a graduate, why is she not. Did she need another second Jesus in her life or she has not given her life to Jesus.

She sees what may seems to be your problem, which in the real sense is not a problem, but a shallow way most Nigerians think. Not getting a job nor working as a slave in another man's company does not mean you cannot create a job for yourself. This days, people prefer to have acquired some skills before graduating from school. I knew a lot of guys who did not even border to look for nor apply for a job after graduation. They start their own business through the knowledge they have acquired before graduating.

We Nigerians just need to change our orientation about what is called a job. To me, a job is what can earn me money and legal by the law of the country.

So my brother, you do not have any problem. The scarcity of job in the country is not by factor of being a muslim or a christian, but by bad governance and bad economic policies that is being contributed by our own bad way of life that is not in consonant with Allah's commandments.

I will recommend to you some prayers. But you to have to uphold your duty to Allah.

Try as much to recite Suras ul Wakia (Quran 56) daily. Preferably every morning.

Also, the following dual found in Hisnul Muslim.

"اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ عِلْماً نَافِعاً، وَ رِزْقاً طَيِّباً، وَ عَمَلاً مُتَقَبَّلا"

"Allaahumma 'innee 'as'aluka 'ilman naafi'an, wa rizqan tayyiban, wa 'amalan mutaqabbalan."

"O Allah, I ask You for knowledge that is of benefit, a good provision, and deeds that will be accepted. "
(Recite in the morning.)

Please, I am not saying that, with the above prayers, you will be suddenly be rich. But, Allah will continues to open up ways for your worldly provision. But, you need to be contented with whatever Allah provides for you, plan with it and be thankful and always praising Him for the good and bad that mighty comes you way and be steadfast.

Please, you do not need to leave the religion of Islam because of worldly things. One day you will die and what will you tell Allah, that you abandon the worship of Him because of dunya (worldly things) when He had already told us that He is going test us.

So, I wish you the best in all your efforts to move closer to Allah.
