A governor went to secure a loan of over 2 Billion Naira just to purchase cars for his faithfuls?!

Let us stop right here for now.

Perhaps this is one of the reasons Sunday Igbo wateva was cursing Makinde and his family the other day as if the corrupt governor was one of his errand boys,

The benefit for being incorruptible is a quiet conscience and a guilt free life. The criminals who are lining their pockets with public funds are just thieves and they will answer for their crimes on Judgment Day. Unless you want to end up like them, you'll stay on the straight and narrow path.

PoliticsWho Is Sheikh Abduljabbar Kabara? by TruthHurts1(op): 3:08pm On Feb 04, 2021
Considered one of the most controversial Muslim scholars in Kano, Sheikh Abduljabbar Sheikh Nasir Kabara is loved and hated almost in equal measure.

Loved by his followers and vilified and considered a heretic by faithful from other Muslim sects for what they term his “blasphemous statements against the Prophet and his way of life”, he is a rebel of sorts.

His teaching is flourishing and his followers, who call him “Amirul wa’izina” (leader of the preachers), have been on the increase in recent times.

He is often seen in ancient war attire, brandishing swords – along with his followers.

Some people consider him combative and a threat to society’s peace and harmony.

At one time, his supporters clashed with those of Sheikh Qaribullah, who has been leading the Qadiriyya Movement since the demise of their father, Sheikh Nasir Kabara, in 1996.

Perhaps as an alternative to the “Darul Qadiriyyah” (the spiritual headqarters of the Qadiriyya Movement) headed by his brother, Sheikh Abduljabbar established his own centre, which he named “As’habul Kahf” (the Companions of the Cave).

Intense criticism

Recently, the Muslim scholar has come under intense criticism from fellow scholars who accuse him of attacking the companions of the Prophet of Islam, a stance attributed to Shiites.

By harbouring these views, particularly on the status of some companions of the Prophet, he is espousing a position that is in direct opposition to what the Qadiriyyah Movement has always stood for.

But arriving at such a conclusion may be a no-brainer.

In a recent interview with BBC, Abduljabbar said with time he has come to understand that the Shiites have stronger proofs to back their arguments than followers of the Sunni branch of Islam.

“I used to say I wasn’t a Shiite; but after indepth reaserach, I discovered that Shi’a has more scriptural evidence than Sunni and so I can’t be intimidated by that any longer.

“Whoever asks me whether I’m Shiite I will ask him what Shia means to them and their answer will determine my response to them”.

Swimming against the tide

In a society dominated by Sunni Muslims, publicly dismissing the most authentic books of hadith (records of sayings and actions of the Prophet) in the world of Sunni Islam may be foolhardy.

Not only does he find fault with the six authentic books of hadith, he also questions the honesty and even the existence of some of the narrators.

In one of his lectures, for example, he not only dismissed a hadith narrated by one of the companions considered to be close to the Prophet, but also challenged anyone who could to prove that the latter actually knew the Prphet.

Irked by his preaching, some scholars in Kano have since been calling on the government to call Abduljabbar to order before something happens.

But, in his interview with the BBC, he appeared unfazed.

“I follow the sayings of the Prophet directly not other scholars’ interpretations and let me tell you, research has shown that Shiites have superior arguments in all these controversies between them and Sunnis.

“I don’t bother if you call me Shiite, but I’ll be concerned if you say I’m Sunni”, he said.

‘My major problem’

On accusations that he denigrates all past Muslim scholars, Abduljabbar said: “I will say that those saying thiese not fair to me but quoting my words out of context.

“I only asked our present scholars to come up with better points than my own.

“Some of the companions that I talked about, if this is what they term as killing the religion then I say they are not fair to me.

“I ask them to correct and make me understand, but no one will.”

The Sheikh has often challenged other scholars in Kano to debate issues on which they differ.

“My major problem,” he declared in the BBC interview, “is when I come up with a genuine argument on religious questions but my scholar colleagues fail to understand me simply because of material interests.

“They should just let me be but they will intentionally be bringing out unnecessary issues which they know are all lies to want to shut me down.

“I usually challenge them to come with superior arguments to enable me change my views on issues”.

Contrary action

Some of the scholars who challenge Sheikh Abduljabbar say they do not care if he chooses to leave Islam, but he should stop damaging the religion while pretending to preach it.

But, in his view, he said, “I’m only making the religion better – all these blasphemous cartoons and articles are deduced from such ahadith.

“I want our scholars to understand that such hadiths are weak and should be discarded but they won’t agree with me….

“There are issues they don’t want to take and I’m working to address and make the religion better and addressing its challenges”, he added.

At long last, Kano State Government has taken action against the scholar, contrary to what he has been asking.

In one of his lectures, he had asked that the Kano State Governor should bring him and those who have been calling for his head together to debate all the issues he has been raising.

PoliticsSeyi Makinde Buys ₦2Billion Cars For His Loyalists by TruthHurts1(op): 2:44pm On Feb 04, 2021
Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde, has spent about N2 billion on cars for his loyalists in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and state House of Assembly, SaharaReporters has learnt.

A source close to the government informed SaharaReporters that Makinde purchased a 2020 Toyota Prado SUV worth N65 million for Alhaja Abosede Adedibu, wife of the late political leader in Ibadan, Chief Lamidi Adedibu.

The source further revealed that a 2020 model of SUV worth N45 million, was also given to a Fuji musician in Ibadan, Taye Currency, while a 2020 Toyota LX 570 SUV was bought for Mutiat Ladoja, wife of a former governor of the state, Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja.

Also, each of the state executive committee of the party also got over N2 million worth of car gift from the governor as reward for their support for him.

Governor Makinde had in December 2019 obtained N2 billion loan to purchase cars for 32 members of Oyo State House of Assembly.

The loan made a former prosecutor with the Special Presidential Panel on Recovery of Public Property, Tosin Ojaomo, to petition the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over fraud allegations in the purchase of about N1.03bn worth of official cars for members of the Oyo State House of Asembly.

According to the petition dated December 7, 2020, the contract, which was executed by a firm (name withheld), was for the procurement of 33 Toyota Camry cars for the House of Assembly members and the Clerk at N759m as well as two Toyota Hilux pick-up vans for the Speaker, Adebo Ogundoyin, at N40m.

Two Toyota Land Cruiser SUVs valued at N106m were also purchased for the Deputy Speaker, Abiodun Fadeyi, and as Ogundoyin’s back-up vehicles, the petition stated.

The PUNCH had earlier reported that Ojaomo, in his petition, alleged that the contract was for the supply of new 2019 vehicle models but noted that refurbished models were supplied instead.

The lawyer claimed that the contract was fraudulently arranged to favour the contractor instead of Elizade Motors and Mandilas Motors which also tendered quotations.

He added that the alleged scam was discovered when some of the 33 cars supplied by the contractor started having mechanical and electrical problems few days after delivery to the lawmakers.

Ojaomo, therefore, asked the EFCC to recover the full contract sum from the firm.

The petition read in part, “My petition stemmed from recent findings that the sum of N1,031,380,000 earmarked by the Oyo State Assembly for the purchase of vehicles for honourable members of the House was diverted by the Speaker and Deputy Speaker with the connivance of a company contracted to handle the purchase and supply of cars to the House members.

“The contract was awarded for the supply of brand new Toyota Camry 2019 models but instead of supplying new cars, he went ahead to supply refurbished vehicles and cleaned up the mileage in order to make them look like new ones.”

When asked about the probe, the EFCC spokesman, Wilson Uwujaren, said, “Petitions go through a vetting process and it is premature to comment further at this stage.”

The Chairman, House Committee on Information, Kazeem Olayanju, described the allegations as false.

“I was not able to reach the Speaker to hear from him but from my little findings, they are false allegations,” he stated.

A strong member of the party in Egbeda Local Government Area of the state, who spoke on condition of anonymity, demanded explanation over Makinde's car gifts as reward for loyalty.

He said many PDP members are not happy with the style of leadership of the party in the recent time, saying, "We have done our best. Our comon members are not really getting anything from the party while some are being rewarded with car gifts."

Another member who confirmed the story to SaharaReporters said though he didn't know the price of those cars, they were well deserved gifts for the beneficiaries.

PoliticsOur Informants Are Officials Of Zamfara, Sokoto Governments —Bandits by TruthHurts1(op): 2:30pm On Feb 04, 2021
Bandits operating along Shinkafi/Sokoto Road, Zamfara State have claimed that officials of Zamfara and Sokoto State governments provide them with information with which they strike and evade arrest by military.

The bandits disclosed this during a peace meeting with popular Kaduna-based Islamic cleric, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi, on Tuesday at Makkai forest.

The meeting was in continuation of the peace moves by Gumi.

It was not the first time the Islamic cleric would be meeting with suspected bandits to broker a peace deal.

About three weeks ago, over 500 bandits reportedly agreed to lay down their weapons in Kaduna after he struck a peace deal with them.

A source at the Tuesday meeting told SaharaReporters that the gunmen claimed officials of both state governments provide information on movements of troops and other operational activities discussed during security meetings to them.

The gunmen also accused the Nigerian government of not being sincere in ending instances of banditry and kidnappings.

“They said they have informants in Zamfara and Sokoto State governments giving them information and that the military can’t arrest them,” the source said.

States in the North-West region have in the last 10 years faced devastating attacks from armed bandits.

Almost 70,000 people have fled the region since April 2019.

According to the International Crisis Group, 11,000 people have died since 2011. Many deaths, particularly in Fulani communities however go unreported.

Several army operations have been launched by the Nigerian government, but most have been largely ineffective.

Some state governments in the region have resorted to signing controversial and secret peace agreements with the gunmen to stop the killings. But despite the accords, communities in such states are still being attacked and residents kidnapped and/or killed.

CrimeUS Based Nigerian Kidnapped By Herdsmen Found Dead by TruthHurts1(op): 7:13am On Feb 04, 2021
AN American-based Nigerian, Prince Eloniyo Abuda, has been found dead five days after he was abducted by suspected Fulani herdsmen.

Abuda, who lived in Atlanta, Georgia, was abducted last Saturday with two other men and a woman along the Benin-Auchi road.

He was said to be traveling from his hometown, Fugar in Etsako Central Local Government Area of Edo State to Lagos to catch a flight to the United States when they were seized by the herdsmen.

Abuda, who was said to be the President of Fugar America Foundation, was reportedly shot by the kidnappers after he slumped during the forced long march to the bush.

His decomposing body was discovered on Wednesday after the payment of the ransom to free the other hostages, who led the family members to the scene along the Benin-Auchi road end of the Benin bypass.

“Prince Abuda was shot by the abductors when he couldn’t walk anymore and slumped. The kidnappers didn’t want to leave him behind as they were afraid that he will reveal their hide out to security agencies and so decided to shoot him,” a source said.

Spokesman for the Edo State Police Command, Chidi Nwabuzor, in his reaction said, “The command is fully aware and the Commissioner of Police personally led operatives to the scene this morning and they are still in the forest on active combing of the bush.”

Christianity EtcRe: My Phone Call With President Yar’adua – TB Joshua by TruthHurts1(m): 1:29am On Feb 01, 2021
Knowledge was given for the specific purpose of communicating divine revelation.
It has to do with God giving divine knowledge and insight into certain situations.

Knowledge is the Supernatural Ability to Know Divinely Given Truths

This gift is linked directly to the apostles and the New Testament prophecies. The gift was only available when the doctrinal foundation of Christianity was being laid. The Apostle Paul spoke of this gift being done away with which is what appears in 1st Corinthians 13:8.

Assuming knowledge were still around, why would God entrust it to a charlatan like Thief Be Joshua?

Pelecius:
Jesus!
Did you read what I built on the preceeding verse? How did you focus on prophesy and leave knowledge? Even tongues?
Have knowledge passed away?

Question:
Has knowledge pass away?

Don't pick one and leave 2. Pick them together

Amd you aee yet to show me how the text meant the compelete cannon.

And please, my auto correct is messing me up, kindly stick to follow after the truth as I'm frustrated bringing you back to what you evade
Christianity EtcRe: My Phone Call With President Yar’adua – TB Joshua by TruthHurts1(m): 12:59am On Feb 01, 2021
Thanks for mentioning the preceding passages because they make the case against your "saviour" even worse.

1 Corinthians 13:8-10 Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.
For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.
But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

So according to 1st Corinthians on which you have built your case, there shouldn't even be any more prophecying. That would explain your "saviour's" woeful record in giving accurate prophecies. It's because his prophecies are not from God.

Pelecius:
Very funny. I ripped out of context? I left the other part cos I felt you know the scripture. Again, it is ambigous because what is the completeness that it talked about?
Your answer is that the complete cannon. I laugh in Fulani. Can you show me how the text talked about the complete cannon?
The preceeding verse talked about other gifts which shall vanish away, knowledge included.
So according to your 'true' interpretation, knowledge too have ended because the cannon is complete. Smh

You obviously are interested not in following truth but to disparage folks and insult or call names. That should call for you to check yourself.
Christianity EtcRe: My Phone Call With President Yar’adua – TB Joshua by TruthHurts1(m): 12:38am On Feb 01, 2021
That's the problem with you fake Christians who misinterprete scripture to suit your heresy. You rip a verse out of context and ignore any other verse that contradicts your preferred interpretation

1st Corinthians 13 verse 9 says
For we know in part and we prophesy in part,

And the very next verse explains further:

but when completeness comes, what is in part disappears.

Seeing in part and prophesying in part was what the Church did before the Bible was completed as a Book. That is what Paul meant in Verse 10 when he said that when completeness comes, "prophesying" would disappear because it will no longer be needed.

So rather than exculpate your lying Thief Be Joshua, 1st Corinthians 13: 9-10 actually indicts him as a false prophet, the kind of false prophet who would have been stoned to death under the Old Testament law.

Pelecius:
FYI, I'm in a mission that does not take him serious. So much for your "savior" question begging epithet fallacy.

You definitely evaded my Elisha scenario because you won't be able to defend it. I used same analogy to show that what Bible said is true: "we see IN PART and prophesy IN PART". You ignored it again and is just bent on attacking him.

JTB is also a MOG, according to your logic, he should have seen the outcome of his warning. At least, he talked about Jesus coming for Baptism. So, lets drop double standards and keep to simple logic.

Whether he do boast or not is not my problem. He should settle that with God.
I had to check his covid 19 prophesy and see that Bible is just true again. We see in part and prophet in part. He must have used his own thinking to believe that it'll end all over the world which was wrong. Yet, other details were accurate.
Rain
Ending in wuhan etc.

My challenge in the first paragraph is there. Let's not be shifting goal post here and there.
Christianity EtcRe: My Phone Call With President Yar’adua – TB Joshua by TruthHurts1(m): 12:00am On Feb 01, 2021
The only duty of John the Baptist was to prepare the world for the coming of the Savior. He was never expected to perform any other functions.
On the other hand, your "saviour" Thief Be Joshua, has always boasted of his abilities to accurately predict the future, and his gullible illiterate followers believe him no matter how many times he fails them.
Who can forget when he predicted that Covid-19 would end on the 27th of March 2020?

Pelecius:
Your question is to be directed to God. I gave you instances where someone who TB Joshua is not even worth to lace his shoes due to too much annointing, yet complained that he doesn't know why God hid something from him. That's why he is God. He reveals what he wants. Else, John the Baptist should have known that he will be beheaded if he said what he said.
You can't set the standard of what anyone should see or shouldn't.
You need to get that.

Pelecius:
You expect him to see the collapse of his building but you should know that the Bible says "we see in PART,we prophesy in PART". This should answer you.

Joining anti-God folks in setting standard in how spirits things should be is not logically grounded.
Why should such statndards be adhered to?
Who makes them an authority to make such standards?
But I guess it has to do with many MOG who always want to take glory for what God do through them.
Even Elisha that could see why Gehazi was doing with Namaan and who a Syrian officer testified saying "he can tell the king whatever he does in his own closet". That's the level of his 'seeing'. Yet he lamented about the shunamite woman that 'she is troubled, but God has hidden it from him'.
