Christians are not in competition with the Muslims. Islam is from the Devil and so there is no truth in it. Does the Devil have any truth ? Allah owned up to being a deceiver and you said the truth of islam. What truth does a deceiver have ?

Muhammad himself said he was a guile man. Your god is a deceiver and your prophet a guile man. Where is the truth of islam ?

It's quite ironic that the op who's a Yoruba nationalist would hate Islam when it's a known that more than half of Yorubas are Muslims. This is a fact you must live with, moreover, can't you use the spread of Islam in South West as an example? If Muslims in South West used the method of evangelism that Christians used, I tell you, Islam would have been an overwhelming majority in that part of Nigeria.

I enjoyed the valuable points raised by bro betathings raised, I'm not a fan of Saddam Hussein, but Iraaq was better under him. Every problem in the Muslim world has its roots directly or indirectly from the selfishness of the West. I could remember a News, about how Berom Christians ate the dead bodies of Muslims, no media house paid attention to this. But as soon as the Muslims retaliated, it was all over. This is hypocrisy I must say!

When the Jews fought and resisted the oppressors in Warsaw, the were considered freedom fighters, but when Palestinians tried resisted the oppressive Zionists they were called "terrorists". Let's be rational and look at things from all angles!

Islam growth in the South Western Nigeria is biological and not evengelical. Muslims have no messages to preach like the Christians. Tell me what message Muhammad preached in his time.

Muslims have you heard this before, that many words were changed from the original revelations received by Muhammad ? The change was made by one of Muhammad's scribes as you will read below.

Many Muslims today proclaim that,
"the Qur'an is the speech from Allah, revealed in its precise meaning and wording through the angel Gabriel, transmitted by many, inimitable, unique and protected by Allah Himself against any corruption".

Yet we find that the Qur'an has suffered corruption. Remember, all of the sources herewith presented are from early, sincere, dedicated, Muslim writers. There were devout Muslims, not moderates or liberals who would change real Islam for their own ease.
So, even in the historical writings of Islam, we find proof of the Qur'an's corruption. Note: These additions by `Abdullah ibn Sarh are still part of the Qur'an today.

From Al-Sira by al-'Iraqi

The scribes of Muhammad were 42 in number. `Abdallah Ibn Sarh al-`Amiri was one of them, and he was the first Quraishite among those who wrote in Mecca before he turned away from Islam. He started saying, "I used to direct Muhammad wherever I willed. He would dictate to me 'Most High, All-Wise', and I would write down 'All-Wise' only. Then he would say, 'Yes it is all the same'. On a certain occasion he said, 'Write such and such', but I wrote 'Write' only, and he said, 'Write whatever you like.'" So when this scribe exposed Muhammad, he wrote in the Qur'an, "And who does greater evil than he who forges against God a lie, or says, 'To me it has been revealed', when naught has been revealed to him.

"'To me it has been revealed', when naught has been revealed to him" refers to `Abdallah Ibn Sa`d Ibn Abi Sarh, who used to write for God's messenger. The verse (23:12) that says, "We created man of an extraction of clay" was revealed, and when Muhammad reached the part that says, "... thereafter We produced him as another creature (23:14), `Abdallah said, "So blessed be God the fairest of creators!" in amazement at the details of man's creation. The prophet said, "Write it down; for thus it has been revealed." `Abdallah doubted and said, "If Muhammad is truthful then I receive the revelation as much as he does, and if he is a liar, what I said is a good as what he said."

The Story

During Muhammad's 23 years of prophetic ministry, Muhammad claimed to receive revelations from God, given to him by an angel. Muhammad used many men, functioning as scribes, to write down these assumed revelations. Different scribes wrote down different revelations. `Abdullah Sarh was one of Muhammad's scribes. Evidently, Sarh had some literary skills, sometimes suggesting improvements to Muhammad in the wording of the recited Qur'an. Muhammad often agreed with Sarh's improvements, and allowed the changes to be made.

Sarh eventually left Islam because he knew that no mere scribe should be allowed to change something that was proclaimed to be the word of God. The changes were frequent enough that it caused Sarh to realize that something was amiss. Upon leaving Islam, Sarh became a threat to the credibility of the Qur'an. It would no longer be believed to be the word of God if a man had been allowed to edit and change it. Sarh's threat to the credibility of the Qur'an was also a threat to Muhammad's credibility. No real prophet would allow the word of God to be changed.
Sarh left Islam and lived in Mecca. Some time later, Muhammad and his army moved on Mecca and took it without a fight. On that day, Muhammad ordered the murder of 10 people living in Mecca. Muhammad said "God forbid killing in Mecca, except for this one day." Sarh was one of the people Muhammad ordered to be murdered. His crime? He had left Islam, and he constituted a threat to the credibility of the Qur'an and the prophethood of Muhammad. No wonder then that Muhammad wanted him dead.

The Plan to kill the Scribe

Ibn Sa`d corroborates Ibn Ishaq and says on page 174:
A person of al-Ansar had taken a vow to kill Ibn Abi Sarh [the already mentioned Abdallah] if he saw him. `Uthman whose foster brother he (Ibn Abi Sarh) was, came and interceded for him with the prophet. The Ansari was waiting for the signal of the prophet to kill him. `Uthman interceded and he [Muhammad] let him go. The the apostle of Allah said to the Ansari, "Why did you not fulfil your vow?" He said, "O apostle of Allah! I had my hand on the hilt of the sword waiting for your signal to kill him." The prophet said signalling would have been a breach of faith. "It does not behave the prophet to make signal."

The Scribe was eventually killed

Muhammad ordered the execution of 10 people when he took Mecca. Here is the list of names found in Ibn Sa`d "Tabaqat", Vol 2, page 168.
The apostle of Allah entered through Adhakhir, [into Mecca], and prohibited fighting. He ordered six men and four women to be killed, they were (1) Ikrimah Ibn Abi Jahl, (2) Habbar Ibn al-Aswad, (3) Abd Allah Ibn Sa`d Ibn Abi Sarh, (4) Miqyas Ibn Sababah al-Laythi, (5) al-Huwayrith Ibn Nuqaydh, (6) Abd Abbah Ibn Hilal Ibn Khatal al-Adrami, (7) Hind Bint Utbah, ( cool

Sarah, the mawlat (enfranchised girl) of Amr Ibn Hashim, (9) Fartana and (10) Qaribah.

DISCUSSION

Above presented is the details and the context behind the order to murder `Abdullah ibn Sarh. He was a threat to the credibility of the Qur'an. He was a Muslim, worked with Muhammad in writing down the Qur'an, and, from time to time he suggested some minor changes, or made deliberate omissions or additions. `Abdullah eventually realized that if this Qur'an were truly from God, no changes would be made at his suggestion. Sarh realized Islam and the Qur'an were false and went back to Mecca.
After Muhammad took Mecca, and issued the order to kill him, he hid out with `Uthman who was one of Muhammad's closest companions. Later Sarh pled for amnesty. Muhammad wanted one of his men to kill him on the spot, but they didn't know if they should, because they couldn't read Muhammad's mind. So, finally, Muhammad gave him amnesty.
We see here that Muhammad really wanted Sarh dead. But Muhammad handled this in a very irrational way. Muhammad issues an edict to have a man executed, but fails to have it carried out because he doesn't want to make a signal with his hand, or wink with his eye huh

Why didn't Muhammad kill him himself? If this man had committed such a crime as to cost him his life, why didn't Muhammad see that his death sentence be carried out? What kind of law is that? "You committed a major crime, punishable by death, but I'm going to let you live because I am too proud to signal with my hand." huh

Note here that the Qur'an itself, revealed in regard to Sarh in 6:93, calls Sarh extremely wicked: Quran 6:93] "Who can be more wicked than one who inventeth a lie against Allah, or saith, "I have received inspiration," when he hath received none, or (again) who saith, "I can reveal the like of what Allah hath revealed"? If thou couldst but see how the wicked (do fare) in the flood of confusion at death! - the angels stretch forth their hands, (saying),"Yield up your souls: this day shall ye receive your reward,- a penalty of shame, for that ye used to tell lies against Allah, and scornfully to reject of His signs!"

This shows that Muhammad gave orders willy-nilly. This man committed no major crime, he just exposed Muhammad and the Qur'an. Muhammad just wanted this man killed for personal reasons. People lived or died based on Muhammad's frame of mind, not based on law and justice.

Yes muslims worship mohammed. Mohammed is part and parcel of islamic daily prayer and a real muslim must mention the name of mohammed on a daily basis, either during prayer, worship or conversations.

If anyone insults mohammed he will be killed. Muslims respect mohammed more than allahh and many quranic verses contain the phrase 'allahh and his apostle'. Both mohammed and allahh seem to be the same person because in one hadith, aisha accussed mohammed by asking him why allahh is always ready to approve his desires.

When mohammed wanted to marry zainab, the wife of his adopted son saheed, allahh gave mohammed revelation that will approve of him marrying zainab while saheed divorces her. Note that at that time mohammed already had many wives and sex slaves while saheed had non.

When mohammed wanted to marry the 6 year old baby aisha, allahh gave mohammed revelations for him to go ahead and marry an underage girl hence aisha accused mohammed of always hiding behind allahh for his selfish and evil gains.

So islam is all about mohammed and allahh. 99% of islamic preachings are all about mohammed and allahh. 90% of islamic preachings is all about mohammed, 9% about allahh while muslims give 1% attention to 'other prophets' liked Jesus, moses, abraham, etc.

Muslims worship mohammed but deny it. In islam, mohammed is the central figure and he is even more important than allahh.

Allah said Torah and Injeel were distorted. This means there was never a time original Torah and Injeel existed as the corruption took place right from inception.

Again, one wonders what was it that was actually distorted as the Laws of God then remain the same till today. I hereby challenge muslims to state what are actually missing or distorted in the Jews and Christians Scriptures.

It is a surprise that the same Scriptures allahh said were corrupted or distorted he still recommended to the Jews and Christians:

Quran 10:94
Allah told Muhammad to consult the Jews and the Christians if he was in doubt of the revelations he was receiving: And if thou art in doubt concerning that which We reveal unto thee, then question those who read the Scripture (that was) before thee. Verily the Truth from thy Lord hath come unto thee. So be not thou of the waverers.
Why would allahh refer Muhammad to the distorted or corrupt Scripture ? What is the similarity between allahh's quran and the earlier Scripture he referred him to ?

Qur'an 2:121
Those unto whom we have given the Scripture, who read it with the right reading, those believe in it. And whose disbelieveth in it, those are they who are the loser. Since the Scripture is said to be good for those who read with right reading, why did he condemn the same Scripture again?
We are made to understand that those who read it with right reading and believe in it are on course but those who don't believe it are losers. This shows the Scriptures were never distorted in the writing but the interpretation by some people. Those who read it with the right reading means those who interpret it rightly. It shows it was the interpretation and not that it was distorted in the writing.

Besides, the same Bible that existed in the time of Muhammad, which was divided into Torah (OT) and Injeel (NT) was approved by allahh as authentic:

Quran 29:46
We believe in the Revelation which has come down to us and that which to you; our Allah and your Allah is One and to Him we surrender.
Here we are told that Muhammad and his allahh believed in the earlier revelation, which they said is corrupt. How reasonable is this ? Allah's statement that Torah and Injeel is corrupted should not be taken seriously as he was serious about it himself.

Quran 2:89
And when there cometh unto them a Scripture from Allah, confirming that in their possession.
Here we are told the quran came to confirm and not to correct the Bible (or Torah and Injeel if you like). How can the quran confirm what is corrupted ? Again, how does the quran confirm the the Scripture that is totally different from it ?

Quran 5:43
How come they come unto the (i.e Muhammad) for judgment when they have the Torah, wherein Allah hath delivered judgment (for them)? Yet even after that they turn away. Such (folk) are not believers.
Even at Muhammad's time till today the Torah (OT) was valid for judgment, but only the people turned away from it according to Allah. Why should allah recommend a Scripture that has been corrupted ? Allah must be inconsistent and should not be taken seriously.

Quran 5:47
Let the People of the Gospel judge by that which Allah hath revealed therein. Whoso judgeth not by that which Allah hath revealed: such are evil-doers.
The Gospel was also valid for judgment at Muhammad's time and till date. Why should Allah have condemned it earlier ? Allah or quran should not be taken seriously.

Muslims should think about the Qur'an and islam objectively.

I get one thing here straight, the Muslims have been programmed to believe only what the Koran says, then they should also believe what it says about Christians and Jews and their Book. But no, muslims can't bring themselves to believe it, they have to twist it out and give it another interpretation, just like the one you are giving right now. You are trying to say, Christians according your interpretation of that Koranic verse are not the believers but blasphemers.

At the point when that verse was written, were the Christians in Mecca knew exactly what Muhammed intended? Were they believers or blasphemers of the Koran?
You are making it seem like, the information the Christians of today have, was the same information the Christians then had about Islam. Muhammed presented himself to them as a prophet, they only rejected them because their scripture never prophesied anything about Muhammed of Arabia coming as a prophet, will you term that as blasphemy?
Now, if Christians both then and now, are not Christ followers but blasphemers, who then is the Koran referring in that verse as those Christians who are superior till judgement?
If you say the Koran is referring to muslims as the true followers of Christ,
Can it then mean that, muslims can be muslims and Christians at the same time? because that verse specifically mentioned Christians.

Remember allah didn't say each of the many first Muslim was the first "among his people" Saying so means putting words in Allah's mouth.

If Abraham was the first Muslim, how could Moses also be first Muslim being the descendant of Abraham? It is like saying your forefather was the first Muslim and you too is the first muslim.

If Moses was the first Muslim, how could Jesus disciples be the first muslims when they were all Jews?

You can see that something is wrong with the quran.

Muslims have a wrong notion that the Quran is complete. Apart from the fact that Islam cannot be practised using the quran alone without the hadiths making it incomplete, there are so many other verses missing in today's quran.

We used to read a verse of the Qur'an revealed in their connection, but later the verse was cancelled. It was: "convey to our people on our behalf the information that we have met our Lord, and He is pleased with us, and has made us pleased". (Sahih al-Bukhari, Vol. 5, p.288).

A Quranic verse was deliberately cancelled.

Narrated Ibn Abbas: Umar said "Ubayy was the best of us in the recitation (of the Qur'an) yet we leave some of what he recites". Ubayy says, "I have taken it from the mouth of Allah's Apostle (saw) and will not leave it for anything whatever". But Allah said: None of Our revelations do we abrogate or cause to be forgotten but We substitute something better or similar (2.106). (Sahih al-Bukhari, Vol. 6, p.489).

One of the Quran memorizers deliberately refused to release a verse to form the Quran.

Allah sent Muhammad (saw) with the Truth and revealed the Holy Book to him, and among what Allah revealed, was the Verse of the Rajam (the stoning of married persons, male and female, who commit adultery) and we did recite this Verse and understood and memorized it. Allah's Apostle (saw) did carry out the punishment of stoning and so did we after him. I am afraid that after a long time has passed, somebody will say, 'By Allah, we do not find the Verse of the Rajam in Allah's Book', and thus they will go astray by leaving an obligation which Allah has revealed. (Sahih al-Bukhari, Vol. 8, p.539).
In the Qur'an as it stands today the only punishment prescribed for adulterers is a hundred stripes (Surah 24.2), no distinction being made between the married or unmarried state of each of the parties involved. Umar, however, clearly stated that Allah had originally revealed a passage prescribing rajam (stoning to death) for adulterers. From the original Arabic text of the narrative in the Sahih of Bukhari as quoted above it can be seen quite clearly that Umar was convinced that this passage was originally a part of the Qur'an text. No stoning of adulterers in today's quran.

Ibn Shihab reported that a man in the time of the Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) acknowledged having committed adultery and confessed it four times. The Apostle of Allah (may peace be upon him) then ordered and he was stoned. " (Muwatta Imam Malik, p.350).
Muhammad actually stoned adulterers to death, which shows it was part of the revelations given to him and not found in the quran

A'isha (Allah be pleased with her) reported that it had been revealed in the Qur'an that ten clear sucklings make the marriage unlawful, then it was abrogated by five sucklings and Allah's Apostle (saw) died and before that time it was found in the Qur'an. (Sahih Muslim, Vol. 2, p.740)

Where is this verse in the quran today ? It is missing.

The above quranic verse was revealed following Satan casting some words into Muhammad's mouth (the Satanic Verses). Then Allah had to console Muhammad after his remorse for the error and Allah said ''there was no messenger he had sent that Satan didn't attemt to put words into their mouth but he usually cancelled such words.

My question is: Which of the past prophets received Satan's words like Muhammad that were cancelled?

The author should have started from verse 2 of John's Gospel chapter 16 that he quoted. verse 2 says, "the time cometh that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth God service. (3) And these things they do unto you because they have not known the Father, nor me."
Judge this yourself. People are blind to discover that this prophecy till this moment is being fulfilled by a group of people in the name of religion.

John 14:16-17 says "And I will pray the Father, and He shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever. (17) Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be with you." There is no way on earth will this passage insinuate any other apart from the Holy Spirit.

How can Jesus that says we should love our enemies, pray for those who persecute us, do good to those who hate us and bless those who curse us(Mtt. 5:44) lay foundation for someone that literally killed and commanded the killing of those he termed infidels.

Muhammad was not the brother of the Israelites. They were not from the same mother. You can at best call him half-brother. Ishmael's mother was a slave who was sent out of Abraham's house with him by God's permission. If God had wanted him as a prophet, He wouldn't have cast him out of Abraham's house.
