Pastor Kun: I still think you should expose the church by naming it. False doctrines should not be tolerated in the church and false teachers ought to be exposed and rebuked sharply so they don't mis lead others.Still I insist..the topic is the issue here and I don't think saying the name of the church will help matters cos I trust Nigerians and their religious attitude, they will surely defend their pastors as we have seen in recent times. The likes of yourself and others have dealt with the topic quite well and I hope whoever reads through the thread will get the message. |
Pastor Kun: I really believe you should mention the name of the church. There is a new awakening happening within the church and false teachers/churches/doctrines should be exposed cause they are destroying souls. Exposing them would warn other brethen to steer clear of those profit motivated churches.I did not mention the church cos it will look like I'm taking a swipe at them..I am only bringing it here because I know this is a platform where people who really wanna discern will come to..atleast anyone that gets educated here and goes back to their church and hear such teaching, should be able to filter through. Tip: This church is worth Millions of dollars already. |
Joagbaje: Giving to members of the family is not sowing . It's family responsibility . If I pay my child's school fees . Is that a seed? But giving to parents is honor and responsibility but it is not a seed .Maybe you would need to explain what the concept of "SOWING" is all about.. I thought any form of giving can also be termed "sowing"..I am even of the opinion that giving to the less priviledged ones amongst us attracts the "better" harvest. ![]() |
Evil Brain: @OPC'mon Oga, don't do this to yourself. I will not come to a public forum and pass judgement on a church I will not mention. I was shocked by the sermon especially when she said giving to your siblings who would only tell you thank you does not carry heavenly blessings , I forget that I was in a church and was like "wtf" , the same reason I am here to know if majority would go with such doctrine. And please don't just swallow anything a preacher says, you can read simple english and understand if you believe that pastors do err but if you don't, then I don't have words for you. @ghoshen360 I am seriously waiting for that time when Nigerians can stand up to ask their pastors to let them understand fully their doctrines..This will bring me back to a topic that sparked controversy the other time when a well know pastors said one can engaged in self service and no one questioned his belief. @aletheia Good point. I wonder why we christians have to let everything we hear down our throats without scrutiny. Even the first fruit thing is crap to me..january is usually a tough period for people and families and you expect someone to come in with all they are gonna get for the month? What a teaching.. |
Ishilove: No let Jakumo hear you o. The guy go use big English give you uppercut.Lol..me sef go swear for am and e go follow am..lol |
This man killed more people than the henry okah guy that was sentenced to life imprisonment..smh Buhari for 2015 abeg |
gprincess1: Hmmmmmmmmmm....I hope it aint my church oooooooI don't think that should be an excuse cos the bible itself is written or has been translated to english that we can read and understand..I believe we are just too religious to believe that pastors can err. |
@gprincess1 This church(don't wanna mention names) is one of the richest churches in Nigeria and the church I went to is the one controlled by the second in command pastor..I was really surprised at how it all went. Do we swallow everything our pastors tell us? I have heard in some part of europe where people challange their pastors doctrine and demand for clarification but it is not same here..pathetic |
I was invited recently by a friend to one of the big churches for mid week service. Because I'm not really into the loud xtianity tin, I maintained my composure throughout the service but was stunned when the pastor's wife who took charge of the service focused her sermon on tithes, first fruits and giving to your pastor. What baffled me was when she said that giving(sowing) to your parents or siblings who will only tell you thank you is actually "sowing to the flesh" and that it doesn't carry heavenly blessings but that when you sow to your pastor, you get heavenly blessings. People please correct me if I'm wrong, I believe giving to your parents and the less privileged is Love for Neighbour which is the ultimate commandment and so label that teaching a false one aimed at defrauding the people of God. |
Only in Nigeria that babes Blackberry usernames usually start with "CREAMY" or ends with "BERRY"..some even use both i.e "CREAMYBERRY". |
It is only in Nigeria babes change their native names to some sweet english name upon getting admission to a university. |
@op No mind these people..Nigerians and their mentality..so I would just meet a girl and without thoroughly knowing her, promise her marriage? Smh.. Nigerian babes should change this mentality of marriage haba..Go out there and make it, then choose your man yourself, not waiting for one B/w, marriage is not for everyone. |
That dude omeruo should get a 7..I wonder why yobo should be considered to a talent chelsea would love to nuture..good one boy |
No be today. |
Martowskin: No mind dem, MARRIED MEN CHOPIN THEM LIKE BISCUIT, do they tink we ar fools, after openin their legs for lecturers just to pass exam they tink we will just jump into marriage, this days they go na.ked all in d name of fashion, sampling their bre.ast to evry1, as if its a car head light, they cant bend down to pick a stone cos of d rubbish they call short gown, this tins will only bring u to our bed not our life, take note. put ur self in d shoes of our mothers can u accept such a lady as wife 4 ur son? talkin abt virgin, do u gals tink virginity is a criteria to hav an husband, when u cant even cook a gud meal, u nag and nag, cry over evry little issue, we dnt want babies as wife, pls. they will press their black berry mornin til nite, wit out any plans 4 their future, dey take men as lottery, escape route to succes, notin for una, hw can i tell my child dat i met his mother in a nite club, check it na, u av 10boyfrnds on NL, 15 in facebook, 20 on bbchat, 40 on 2go and u think we dnt knw, sowi 4 una, we ar just enjoyin it while it last. Av u ever heard people say BOYS OR MEN HAV FISH BRAIN, BT IS NT NEW TO HEAR that WOMEN HAV FISH BRAIN, out of all animals is fish, ladies wise up, guys ar wiser dan u think. 2FACE IDEBIA is an example even wen d whole country think he is foolish, he knws d right woman 4 him.I had a rich boss then in my office, after phucking all the gold diggers in town, went and married his university love..he told me that he feels most of the gals he meets are jus there to enjoy what he has and that his old unmarried(luckily for him) love was with him in the harsh times and that he doesn't care whom she had been with or whatever..they are doing fine.. |
Had the experience thrice..first girl is virtually everybody's friend, she talks too much and so I was not really into her. Second girl was my home boy's babe..she told me it was me she wanted as she had wanted me to make a move since but I was not into her, jus friends. I saw sincerity in her but I could not do it cos it will seem I took my friend's girl. Third girl was my best friend's sister..we did some crazy things together cos I was pretty close to her but not to get to the level of dating her cos my friend may not take it easy on the dude he knows to be a chopper..lol |
Women you guys are just clueless. Once you see a man of say 28> still wearing tight jeans and sagging, doesn't at least a fraction of your brain tell you that the guy is still immature or some bricks are missing in his brains? That said why won't ladies see a mature guy that has a vision but just down azz broke atleast stay with him and build a future together? Do you think he won't know you relevance in his life even if he is an ingrate? No, go to the big established boys, believe me he would never value you, your just one of his acquired assets. And don't deceive yourself about love, love=romance and romance dies, and when it dies its unto the next one. Ladies please grow a brain.
No mind them..many of them know the guy that has a vision but broke and can't date him but when he gets made, thinks the guy will jus come like a prince and marry them..we know many great men and their story of how their wives had been with them through the harsh times and a Nigerian girl's perception is that a guy should get made before approaching them..I get turned on when I hear a 9ja girl say "I don't need a man's money", it shows that she believes she can do it without a man and that is also a starting point to becoming a great woman.. What a woman can't do, can't be done! |
Until 9ja ladies realize that relationship in this new age is 50-50, e go hard for many girls..I have always said that the ladies that complain that they were dumped after some years know what they did..Men are very compassionate when it comes to long term relationships.. The average Nigerian girl believes that a bf has to take care of her all needs..smh |
Eziachi: My take was that 2011 was very tight between GEJ and GMB. If not for the inflation of votes for GEJ in SE/SS and northern areas like Kaduna. I believe that GEJ would have won but would not not win enough vote for an outright victory and there would have been a run-off.Do you know why it was tight? It was because most of the south and west voted out of sentiments. 1. It was a chance to have their own there. 2. People were fed up with thieving PDP but gave the excuse of "we are voting for person and not party". It was glaring that the people are frustrated with the system with the massive turn-out during the subsidy protest..It is glaring that GEJ's promise of fighting corruption is never tenable judging from recent happenings.. Picture this..2015 south-south campaign and oshomole(let's say the merger works and it's a GMB/fashola ticket) is speaking from the podium with likes of bakare and a host of other "good" men, how the people will follow..forget about the north, GMB has that on his palm..some of us don't seem to get the picture of what this merger will bring. Even GEJ's kinsmen are tired and want him out.. |
If a single body is not with gunshot wounds, it might not be the bunkery ish..at least they would have been some form of attack. To know if the bodies are from a morgue, it's simple..just do test for formaldehyde concentrate. They are a lot to investigate in this case..will be easily determined in advanced countries. God help this 9ja |
First to comment! God bless you pastor |
I will continue saying this..Until 70% of Lagos, portharcourt, aba and other industrialized cities get at least 18hrs of electricity daily, I might have nothing to say than insult one villager who comes online shouting "I have electricity 24/7" and all that crap. @op I stay in PH and I hardly get electricity up to 4hrs a day and the bad thing is that the 4hrs is mainly at midnight..as I type this now, we have been in darkness for 20hrs and one fool will come here and tell me gej is working electricity, thunder fire their mouth. |
If only people know what edo was under lucky igbinedion and pdp, they would only be commending oshiomole. I go to edo once in a while and all I can say is that ACN should prepare someone to continue from where oshos would stop and never to allow aneni controlled pdp go near leadership in the state anymore. You need to see even standard primary schools in remote villages. I hope he continues with his good works. |
Smh @ people who still talk about "arrangee" marriage, what about "arrangee" relationship? Do you just marry like that? How much do you know that person? I know a lot of gals that call and cry on the fone secretly on that wedding night to the guy they have spent quality time with and truly love..it's a taboo to most of us Nigerians to phuck someones wife, if not...if not for the fact that we africans respect marriage, many wives would be busy phucking another guy while the supposed husband is @ work or somewhere. |
UGHELLI—DELTA State House of Assembly Committee on Finance and Appropriations has expressed worry over what it called the near zero performances of the three contractors handling the Effurun-Eku Road dualization project. The House Committee, led by its chairman, Mr. Daniel Mayuku, was at the project site as part of its investigation tour of selected projects embarked upon by the state government, weekend. Mayuku said the Effurun-Eku Road dualization project was awarded to the three contractors since 2010 with adequate mobilization, adding that sector ‘A’ of the project was awarded to GOMENE Construction Company for N3.6 billion with N1 billion paid as mobilisation to the contractor by the state government. He said, sector ‘B’ was awarded to DEUX Construction company and mobilised also with about N1 billion, while the sector C was awarded to PALMYRA Construction company and N530 million paid out of the total cost of N2.4 billion contract sum. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2013/01/delta-house-flays-alleged-poor-performance-of-contractors/ I termed this thread "road to hell" because i know two persons that died this period on this road..this tiny road truly needs dualization and if these contractors had been mobilized without doing good work over the period, I can only say one word..Pathetic! |
Ftc! E-voting? Seconded |
If there are issues that we have been managing, we will continue to manage them. I wonder why this would come out from a president's mouth. |
@jayron Your case is one in a million..why I said that is because we have too many fake seers these days and one wonders if it's God that's really speaking to them. Myself and a friend went to visit his fiancee once in her family house and unknown to their pastor, my friend in the sitting room with him is the man to marry their daughter and behold the guy was telling the poor girl and her family that the guy she wants to marry is in a hotel right now with another lady, that she should leave him and all that bs..we sat there amazed and didn't say anything to the man or the girl's family till we left..they were really ashamed from what the girl told us later. |
nony30: Thank God u survived, but its •̸№t just enough τ̲̅ȍ flee d spot when u guys had already been robbed cos the robbers can't come back τ̲̅ȍ that spot. You acted selfishly in jumping into a bus alone cos u were •̸№t the one who was shot.you would have forced that driver τ̲̅ȍ stop and get the wounded guy τ̲̅ȍ a hospital τ̲̅ȍ @ least save his life.what if Į̸̸̨ƭ was u that was shot?the situation was already as bad as Į̸̸̨ƭ could get notin worse could have happened.I hope d guy survives Į̸̸̨ƭ anyway. If it was me, my jumping on the other bus would be to get the driver to stop and help save the bleeding guy..I would not be able to leave and be 100% happy knowing that someone I was traveling with may die..well..that's why we are different people. |
All this arguments will not stop me from voting out slowpoke gej..give me great minds in the likes of pat utomi, fashola, ribadu, oshiomole and watch me "die" to cast my vote..I would even prefer a buhari to this gej that cannot ensure institutions checkmate our greatest problem; CORRUPTION. |
