Good story but the meticulous detailing amazes me, the Amosu told Osinbajo to wait down stairs, Kemi Adeosu sat in front of the car and buhari watching them while Osinbajo filled the form in the dining area part……. You must have been with them the whole time.

Anyways, it’s just a case of the bad against the worse here. Nigeria deserves better than this old men
That shows it was an insider's account. It could be from Ibikunle Amosu or from Aregbesola or from Osinbajo himself through Babafemi Ojudu

I don't support tinubu but he will be Nigeria president in 2023.

Anyway, Most Nigerians online should wake up to that reality, there is nothing they can do about it. Online polls aren't counted as votes by INEC, the real voters are in different cities and towns doing their petty trading.

Just to add, One of the funniest stuff is that Tinubu said that He knows how to generate revenue, he means, he will tax everything you own and then give alphabeta 20% from your tax money.
I swear you no well

I am willing to bet on the PDP taking over if Tinubu pulls out of APC. Those so called Cabals do not have street credibility. Also, men like Senator Abu Ibrahim and Yankassai are genuinely grateful for what he has done for the Northwest. Many Northerners will not take his defection lightly. Ganduje, Ribadu and co have even been more loyal to Jagaban than his Yoruba brothers; They won't work for APC even if they do not defect.

PDP members know it and that is why they are happy about what is happening. They want APC to sideline Jagaban as that would put a long nail in the coffin of APC.
Is that a threat or what, stop imagining idea Tinubu himself will never conceive

Osinbajo has greater chances to defeat PDP in the general election especially if PDP present northerner as candidate which is likely to be.

Deny this and it would confirm you as a political toddler

Stop generalising. There are traditional yorubas who appreciate Tinubu for fighting for the Yoruba cause at the center. I met a retired Matron somewhere in Lagos and she has great respect for what Tinubu did in the Lagos State Health sector; She believes in him genuinely and was sure Osinbajo will not challenge him. She told me that Yorubas would have been swept aside if not for Jagaban. I have not seen her this week but I am sure she will be disappointed like many elderly Yoruba men and women.

Truth is, it is very easy to campaign against the present government. An alliance of Jagaban with powerful allies will at least, divide the votes of APC and easily allow PDP to grab power. There is no how APC would win without him cos some of his allies who do not decamp would play the spoiler role inside the APC. Osinbajo on the other hand will not be missed cos the APC can easily find more erudite scholars and Lawyers to replace him.
If you read my comment carefully you will understand my position. Nobody is denying Tinubu record all what we are saying is that he should not play a spoiler role otherwise the respect people have for him would die.

Just imagine Osinbajo contested against Atiku and lose in SW, tell me how Yoruba would take it with Tinubu, he would become a pariah

In theory, he doesn't have Federal power yet. I doubt if Buhari would hand him that power until after the primaries. He will have to pull more votes than perhaps the most influential Party member. It is a tough task also because party members know that losing his competitor (Tinubu) is the shortest way for PDP to takeover. Who is more expendable? Your guess is as good as mine!
As far as 2023 is concerned Tinubu's power ends with the Primary, if he loses out and try anything funny, he would find only himself and his family in isolation.

Yoruba are not blind follower, they know Tinubu wanted to trade whatever is left in Yorubaland for his ambition.

Politics › Re: Why do Southerners seek approval of Northerners? by Ttalk:
MetaPhysical:
Let me take you through a imaginary scenario. It is not real but an illustration to show you prospects for some aspirants like Osinbajo, Amaechi, Fayemi, Obi, etc...

Imagine you have a boy born and bred in London and your son is getting ready to graduate primary school. You have choosen to bring to Nigeria for secondary school and expose him to his ethnic root and culture.

Somewhere in South Africa another parent has similar situation and wants to bring his son to Nigeria for secondary school.

In Ghana, there is a third man with similar thoughts and ambition for his son.

You see that son in London, that is representation of Osinbajo and Obi. The son in South Africa, that is representation of Wike. The son in Ghana, that is repeesentation of Ayo Fayose.

Now, you tell me, which of the three class is best fitted to hit the ground running and will not take any nonsense from any bully. Of course Fayose!

The education value and standard between London and Nigeria is so vast that you could not simply migrate a student from London to Nigeria without some serious trauma and psychological damage. The Ghana student on the other hand is at parity, the migration for him is like just a move from one school district to another.

I said this somewhere else on a different post, it is worth repeating here. Osinbajo is a misfit for Nigerian leadership. The politics of Nigeria after Buhari will be very caustic.

First, the VP will come from North. Southerners will not have input in who that will be. It will be completely up to North to select and present a VP. I assure you their selection will be a dominant individual and with a counter temperament. He will be a strong advocate and supporter for Sharia and expansion. He could also be ex-military, which would then impose a double dominance. The VP could undermine the Commander in Chiefs authority with military chiefs of staffs and overshadow his policies on security. In fact, President Osinbajo could end up with chiefs selected for him, and not the one he wants. We witnessed this with President Goodluck Jonathan.

They will undermine his administration in ways they could not if Fayose was a President in similar circumstance. They will think twice before testing Fayose because he is a fit where Nigeria currently is.

It would have been well and fine if Osinbajo or Obi were coming right after Obasanjo administration. Buhari is leaving behind a Nigeria at war, it would take a warrior to step in after him.

Remember that Fayose established anti grazing law and arrested fulani herders and threatened to arrest their leaders in Ekiti. They backed off. No governor was able to stand up for his people and challenge North the way Fayose did. If Igboho had come out when Fayose was governor, fulani would not dare humiliate him the way they did.

Osinbajo could preside over countries like South Africa, Kenya, Morrocco....but places like Nigeria, Libya, Sudan, Congo, are not a fit.
I don't buy into this idea of northern supremacy just like I don't buy into any idea of northern cabal. There are powerful individual across the entire nation who could be excessive if found in the corridor of power.

Having said that, and based on my experience in Nigeria politics, your illustration does not define what could come out of each character mentioned above.

Nigeria president at present is regarded as the most powerful in the world while the same constitution makes the position of the VP the most weakest, even HoR Speaker has defined role in the constitution and as such much legitimately stronger than a VP in Nigeria. So there is no fear whatsoever that a northern VP would usurp the power of president from the South.

What you guys term northern supremacy are just the advantages given to the north by the northern military through 1999 Constitution.

Southerner who seeks approval of the north is only doing that to win election and not out of any fear or northern supremacy.

But the North is the one that is afraid of the South, as they so much desire the unity of the nation than any other factor. That is the reason why they would support anyone that would guarantee such unity over their religion and tribe.

I don't think Nigeria needs an individual as strong as Fayose to make a powerful president. The constitution already make anyone who becomes Nigeria president a powerful person

Politics › Re: Why do Southerners seek approval of Northerners? by Ttalk: 1:47am On Apr 13, 2022
Nigeria is simply a contraption of lie that is bound to fail unless it is restructure.
The greatest factor that disqualifies a candidate is neither religion not ethnic factor, it is a sign that such person would restructure.

Tinubu belief in federalism is too obvious, his action as a state governor indicates how he will use power as a president, so he has to be stopped.

Now left with the option of a lesser evil in person of Amaechi and Osinbajo a person who could return APC and still retain the tie of lies. They are at a loss on what anger could push Amaechi to, because of his strong willed and temperament. That left them with a lawyer and a SAN, a profession that believes so much in Nigeria constitution than they would trust their heart beat, even if he restructure, they are convinced it would be within the framework of existing 1999 Constitution.

Yes, Osinbajo would carryout some reforms and restructures which the fraud constitution permits, but whether such reform would be enough to revive a dying country is what is yet to be seen

Politics › Re: Osinbajo Will Win Apc's Primary Clean And Clear! by Ttalk: 5:05pm On Apr 12, 2022
We may need to revisit how Jonathan became a household name in 2010. Similar thing is playing out right now. Osinbajo has the touch to deliver victory for APC in the general election. The task is now how the leaders would ensure he win the primary.

To Tinubu supporters who think SW delegates is in the pocket of Tinubu, I see there limited understanding about the politics on ground.

We should remember that ex-legislators will be voting as delegates and the number of ex legislators are more than the current legislators. The sad thing is that Tinubu has a hand in everything that makes those legislators became ex, especially those from Lagos and this could be the right time for them to take back the pound of flesh. Politics is dynamic, In Tinubu strength lies his weaknesses. I won't reveal more than this for now
