seunmsg: His father is not contesting for president so there is no need to subject his records of achievements to public scrutiny. Tell us the achievements of Peter Obi Pandora as governor of Anambra state for 8 years. Tell us the innovative policies he introduced that are still being implemented in Anambra state today and that has even been copied by other states.
In case you have no answer, freshkpomo may be willing to help out. Obi Pandora is an underachiever, a man with no legacy project, a man that doesn't have any major infrastructure you can point to, if he were to be from SW he would be struggling to win a council chairman position. |

CSTRR: Anambra state is not an economic behemoth
There was no seaport or high tax base to build futuristic projects and loot half of the monies while doing so like in Lagos.
Any fool can shine in Lagos. The money is there.
Peter obi came in and gave that state a structure and a Sense of direction. Minimise wastes and ensured that the majority of the tiny state resources are used to provide the most good in education, healthcare, and basic infrastructure.
No other anambra guvernor comes close.
That is why he is a credible Candidate.
A fashola as governor of anambra would never have built an Eko Atlantic City. There are no resources for it there unlike in Lagos.
A Peter obi with the resources of lagos would have been a phenomenal governor.
It's the ability to compare these scenarios that makes you a smart voter.
You can't compare the governor of California with the governor of Lagos on projects alone.
The resources differ greatly.
What Nigeria needs is a honest president who is smart enough to provide solutions, cut waste and allocate resources judiciously for the greater good.
Nobody comes close than Peter obi. See lame excuses, who put the money in Lagos when IGR was paltry 600m in 1999 when Tinubu became governor and grew it to over 2b before he left after building a template for IGR that now stood at over 32b. I know many of you haters have benefited from good governance of Tinubu if you reside in Lagos. That's why there would always be a curse on whoever benefitted from Tinubu governance but chose to disparage him. Obi Pandora cum boreholer total achievement in all sector cannot stand Tinubu achievement in education sector alone. I see all hate and abuse wailers rain on Asari, without stating his achievement. Obi Pandora achieve ZERO in security as a governor for 8year, at a time when Nigeria needs a decisive approach to security challenges, rather he diverted the money to build his Next stores. Nigerians are wise, Obi De Borehole is a mediocre that would be struggling to attain Commissioner 2 in Lagos. You can hype him all you want, but he doesn't have the capacity to rule Nigeria. |

trutharena: Lol are those the achievement of Obi Pandora in all sector? Something a LCDA chairman in Lagos alone can fulfil. Ask yourself, if one governor in this era had projected that as his achievement, won't you say he is drunk. Is that the man you guys always compare to Asiwaju?
Below is Asiwaju achievement on Education as governor. Compare and contrast. |

if d142475: Very good question. The truth is that the South is myopic when it comes to Nigerian politics, and they don't tend to be courageous. The day the whole South will speak with one voice, Nigeria will change for good. See how nervous the North became when Southern Governors Forum started meeting. There is a Northern Caucuas of the National Assembly, but I haven't heard of a Southern Caucus. The South is very individualistic, while the North tends to stick together. This gives a false picture of power. The South, regardless of tribe an culture, must learn to speak with one voice to balance the power structure in Nigeria. I made similar comment as a response to Ekweremadu's demand for additional state for SE to make up 6states for SE, I equally suggested dual capital (administrative and commercial) one in north and one in the south since the north has refused to cede the position of minister for FCT to the South, but many southerners here kicked against it with the argument on viability as if the existing structure is fair enough, Southerners always cut their nose to spite their face, their children in Nairaland are not different |

habsydiamond: Nigeria with 36states cant still be properly managed and maintained and u want to add another one.. The problem of this country is not the creation of states but that we don't value ourselves, ethnicity, religion, corruption are the problem we show try to face. U want to create a state that would join the other ones that can strive on their own if fed allocations do not come... If Lagos, rivers and Anambra should say they want to stand alone it for the others to keep clinging to the feet of the federal government for daily bread. When there is no development in ur state there can never be personal enjoy. Always respond to the issue of discussion. We are not talking about capacity of Nigeria to maintain its region. The subject of the matter here is equity and fairness within Nigeria context, any argument outside this subject is diversionary. You can create topic on non viability of creation of state and we would air our views |

I may never come around to understanding how some Nigerians reason. Ekweramadu should be ashamed of himself for following this thought process. Just look at how you deviate from the main issue that is based on fairness and justice in Nigeria context. Fairness and equity requires every region should have balanced representation based on their population and share of benefit based on contribution to Nigeria project. You have no idea how you and your region would be in perpetual enslavement to the north. You are not different from our elites who are so myopic because of personal gain allowed north to dominate you and your resources |
