I don't have to respond to you in your childish manner as you are too confined to same archaic mindset bequeathed to you by your generation and your likes has no idea but would end up without changing anything.

It is clear you benefit from the warped system that favours no region but in your ignorance as a northerner thinks Nigeria benefits you. Shame on you and your one Nigeria where innocent masses in your region are daily been massacre but you have no idea of what to do to address the issue.

My comment was a direct response to Ekweremadu on issue of justice and equity.

Creation of state in Nigeria is a fraud perpetrated by military north against the rest of Nigeria.

Nigeria as a multi ethnic country require states should be created to reflect the ethnic composition of the country.

It is height of injustice for NW to have 7state while SE has 5 state.

It is absurd to create state based on landmass in country like Nigeria

Judging from the reality on ground, it is most likely that Peter Obi will be the flag bearer of PDP presidential election in the coming year 2023..many are not aware that it was ATIKU that encouraged Obi to join the race, this because ATIKU is afraid of losing the ticket due to zoning and should that happen he plan to support Obi who will accept Atiku boy as a running mate.

If APC gives her ticket to Tinubu, then it will be easier for Obi to win the election than when Amechi is fielded.

Here is the calculation......
As PDP CANDIDATE
Obi will easily win South east and south south votes
He will win 90% of Northern Christian votes
He will win majority of Northern educated Muslim votes because they will vote based on competence
He will win PDP state and non state members votes

Tinubu will AS APC CANDIDATE
Win only in south west
And category of Northerners

Amechi will AS APC CANDIDATE
Win south west due to APC presence
Will split south east and south south votes with Obi
Will win North due to party, Buhari boy and Christian influence .

This is just an opinion to ponder on not for tribal online war.
Is this conjecture you want us to read

Provide proof about that gossip in bold. Does it mean when you imagine something in your brain the next thing is to drop it in Nairaland as a statement of fact.

the thing is you people are the sentimental emotional ones

First I am not Igbo, secondly I don't use anti tinubu sentiment just to say what is not reality

You think sentimatally that how can a whole tinubu fail, be used and dump, miss president etc

I don't reason that way, the reality is tinubu has no control about the decisions that take place in apc, buhari have his candidate, buhari has interest in this election

It's not for you to start shouting Igbo hate when this is the unfortunate reality you can't change

Amaechi running against atiku is another ball game on its own, let them both get the tickets I would use the circumstances around that time to know the direction politically
No need engaging you on baseless argument because I've trashed this out with you on previous post.

It is an unserious person that would base his political success on the decision of someone's else.

Even Amaechi would marvel at the kind of permutation you give here on his behalf. You daily come only to embarrass yourself without even aware that people close to Amaechi are reading your post.

There's one thing to root for a candidate and another just make baseless assumptions to favour the candidate.

By Seun Opejobi

The Enugu West Senator, Ike Ekweremadu, on Saturday, said the southeast needs an extra state because the region is shortchanged.

Ekweremadu explained that an extra state would enable the southeast to “match with the rest of the country in terms of opportunities and national assembly.”

Speaking during a town hall meeting in Enugu State, the former Deputy Senate President, said the southeast is shortchanged in the area of resource control.

Ekweremadu pointed out that the region stands at a disadvantaged position during voting and resource distribution at the National Assembly.

According to Ekweremadu: “The number [in the national assembly] is lopsided, because of the way the states were created.

"Right now, the south-east has just five states while others have six and seven. With the senate, we have just fifteen [lawmakers], while some have 18 and some 21.

"So when it comes to voting and resource distribution, we are shortchanged. If you go to the house of representatives, [it’s a] similar thing.

"I believe that the fair thing to do is for the country to agree for us to have an extra state for the south-east. So that will enable us to match with the rest of the country in terms of opportunities and national assembly.”

That's what I have been telling our Igbo brother to pursue, but no they are looking for shortcut to presidency.

Seriously, Igbo needs the 6th state more than any other thing and it would be a plus for entire South if one state can be added and one removed from NW while 2capital should be created one in the north and one in the South.

But the South are too myopic and emotional to even understand what is good for them.

As it is, there would never be any pro South bill that would scale through Nass. We can all see the way PIA was watered down thereby making ways for some northern state to benefit from it because without South allowing such longer-throat, the Bill would have been killed like the previous ones

APC flag bearer is not going to emerge through consensus, that is a fact, if anyone is banking on one eye consensus, that person better go and start acting comedy. APC is party with major different stakeholders with individual group have sizable representation that could make or mar the election.

Even the candidate of the president would have to go and slug it out at the primary

Straight to the point.....
The major hindrance to a Yoruba presidency isn't coming from the south, the noise makers in the south are only useful idiots, The major hindrance is obviously the north and these are my reasons for saying this;

1. Tinubu and Osinbajo seem too powerful already in the south and command alot of international respect:

https://www.ft.com/content/4552a648-acf7-11e7-beba-5521c713abf4
https://www.ft.com/content/c4025da8-7951-4ed1-bccd-5d546f86786c

https://www.google.com/amp/news.band/2023-financial-times-passes-vote-of-confidence-on-osinbajo-presidency/amp/

https://www.tvcnews.tv/french-ambassador-to-nigeria-visits-bola-tinubu/?amp_markup=1

Giving any of these two the presidency will mean more political capital for Yorubas and the SW in general.

2. Tinubu and osinbanjo cannot be trusted to do the bidding of the northern cabal:
2.1 osinbanjo cannot be trusted because of his actions while buhari was away for which he sacked the DSS boss and went head on against malami concerning the Amotekun issue.
2.2 Tinubu cannot be trusted, because of his ability as a politician and actions/inactions during the Lagos VAT FiRS issue with the federal government.

3. The stance of majority of south western leaders on restructuring, Amotekun and RUGA: the northern cabal see restructuring as a south west agenda and feel that a restructured Nigeria would remove any advantage they think they have; this is why it would be hard for them to make anyone from the south west president unless they can totally control such individual. The actions of south west governors across party lines concerning Amotekun and RUGA also sent a strong message to the north.

The north will always pick a useful idiot in the south e.g Obasanjo that will do their bidding and will be willing to annull elections if they loose trust in the candidate (as seen in the case of abiola).

These is why I believe that a Yoruba presidency may not happen in 2023 and most likely a candidate from the South south would be picked. But in the event that Yoruba get's it, the VP candidates from the north would be strong characters that would stand next in line.
You have a valid points out there but the circumstances Nigeria find itself is to fragile to continued to play tribal politics.

We are all seeing the result of tribal politics played by the president in appointment of the service chief yet we have proliferation of terrorist across the entire north.

The consciousness of the security wings of the three major ethnic group have never been this alarmed, do you think the north would want to trigger further sentiment that could result to total anarchy?

Looking the way of SS is an option but do you think the north are prepared to witness another standstill that brought our economy to almost zero within few days. If SS could achieve that with little power strengthening such power in 2023 when the players are still active would be disastrous to the north.

Again, this could be the last relationship between Yoruba and Nigeria if they don't get the presidency with the sentiment of 1993 annulment still fresh in their memory.

One fact the author mentioned about Tinubu was his ability to make tough decision.

I don't blame people if they don't see it. But for someone like me who saw how he was able to pilot the affairs of Lagos with his stubborn decision of not collapsing the newly created LG despite the freezing of the state allocation by FG I believe he would make a more daring decision as president of Nigeria

They are always interested in our oil and our resources, now it's Ajaokuta steel they want to revamp.

You must be an unfortunate fool to even suggest that anything about Pete Edochie's career has anything to do with the South West. South West no even build Olu Jacobs career, how much more Pete Edochie?

Pete Edochie built his career in the East. He has never even lived in that South West. He built his career by acting in movies that were 90% produced by Igbo people. He built his career by being a brilliant Broadcaster in Anambra state

Not one achievement of Pete Edochie is tied to the South West, so, you better use that rotting brain of yours before you associate anything Pete Edochie has ever achieved in his life to anything South West

Nollywood was built on stories by Igbo people, from Living in Bondage to Things Fall Apart. Nothing concerns Pete Edochie and South West, if that entire region was sucked by a black hole, it would not put a dent in Pete Edochie's popularity.
Don't die of suffocation, every prosperous Igbo artist both movies and music became famous as only when their work entered Lagos SW Nigeria.
