Ifedayour007:You didnt describe in detail the condition of your fries, you only assume it could be as a result of cold. Are they hanging? What is the water temperature in the morning and in the evening? Apply excelsiorfarm prescription if it you are sure the mortality is as a result of cold |
swissflow:Still waiting for name and price of the pumping machine, sir |
obstead200:Can you please give the name of the pump that pump at 100watt |
swissflow: Interesting, what is the name of the pump and at what depth? If you have enough water and where to dispose water all year round, flow through may be ideal when considering the cost implication and profit. The number of fish stock is a function of dissolve oxygen in your pond. Other means that proved to be less expensive to run and still give increased dissolve oxygen has been introduction of aerator and flow through system |
osile2012:Current price in Abuja as at today CFAN 195 with kick starter goes for 220k without kick starter 200k Viking Alternator - 10kva is 110k while 7.5kva goes for 100k [All copper] |
jpphilips:I think that is the intention of FG with all her assistance making dollar available to Dangote at the expense of other indigenous competitor who felt cheated. The only explanation to government continual search for crude oil in North East at this trying period is that government wanted to leverage on the downstream potentials and ensure uninterrupted supply of crude from other parts of the region to local refineries when the supply from NDelta is reduced. What i dont know is how the recent devaluation will affect the outcome of government support for indigenous refining companies. Will it eventually bring down the price of refined products apart from fetching the economy extra dollar and reducing the dollar demand on importation of refined products?. |
Hormohtoondeh:Ma, hope you are fully back on your production, i pray it will be a success story this time around. From my personal experience this tip can be of help to your next hatching operation 1. Acclimatize your broodstock to your water and temperature for at least 10 days before using the broodstock 2. Compare your pH meter to determine accuracy or give to experience person to calibrate for you. [Since two pH dont give exact figure] 3. Always remember that hatchery/room temperature is different from water temperature. The different can make or mar success in hatchery 4. African clarias due to our environment adaptation, takes a bit longer to fertilize and hatch. i.e @ water temperature of 26 degree, almost all the egg became ripe after eleven hour. I prefer 12 hours at 26 o c. 5. Allow water in the vat settle for at least 12hours before introduction of egg 6. Covering of vat during incubation is not necessary provided vat is in enclosed environment and you maintain constant temperature. 7. Before introduction of egg, test your water and adjust the pH and temperature to neutral 7 and 30 respectively. This operation can be repeated every six hour interval. I reset my pH every 12hours interval. 8. Clarias will hatch from pH 6 to 7.5 and temperature from 25- 32. While pH of 7 and temperature of 30 is regarded as optimum for hatching 9. Aerator enhances hatching rate it is recommended 10. Flow through water energizes the egg and enhances hatching rate. 11. Incubation and rearing of larva required similar pH and water temperature for at least the first 15days. Maintain constant flow-through 12. There is always urge to see your larva grow. Please dont overfeed them You can get over 90% hatching rate and survival rate with these simple observation, God on our side. To construct automatic local incubator that will guarantee over 90% hatching rate provided other factors are place, e-mail goldgate2003@yahoo.com |

KCoker:Sir you are on point and that is why there is a need to rather be a BUSINESS FISH FARMER rather than be an EXPERT IN FISH FARMER. A business fishfarmer knows in and out of his farm operations as well as micro and macro economics indices that affect his occupation while an expert fishfarmer only rely on his expertise and experience in the business to succeed. Many Nigerians most especially fish farmers do not expect what is hitting us. Presently as i speak to you there are no 0.2mm, 0.5mm and 0.8mm coppens and other popular foreign feed in Abuja and it has been like that for the past one month. You said there is need to store up feed and you think that is the solution? No! That will only lead to artifical increament in the price of ingredients. And dont forget that the quality of the ingredients will reduce after a long time. I think the only way out is for individual farmer to start producting his/her feed at least from 0.8mm and above. I have started my experiment already on 0.8mm, 1-2mm and will unveil after the completion of the process. We have come to a time in national live when things are no longer going to be the same again. Dear fishfarmer we all have to rise to the occasion in order to salvage our investment. I was lucky enough to discover on time that we can no longer depend on gasoline/petrol generator for our business because of its price volatility and scarcity of the product. We can no longer depend on imported feed to make meaningful success in fishfarm. This is because fish business is fragile and require a running system that must not collapse and i have found my solution in 3-in-1 GPP Diesel Engine. Today, i mill my feed anytime i like and pump water using 3 in 1 GPP that uses Diesel. I urge eminent farmers on this forum to rise to this challenges. We have to call the bluff yeye imported feed that are increasing their product on daily basis. |
Good day to everone in the house. To those that have been requesting to know the price and specifications of our 3 in 1 GPP, i hope this information would guide us in making decision as regard 3 in 1 GPP diesel engine. valenjohnex:Sir, I will post our recent price of all the four categories later in the day |
OXYZ:We dont sell only the pellet head but we can design other component if you already have your diesel engine generator In a layman language, horse power can be describe as the strenght of an engine. Therefore most engine are categorised by the hp [strength] i.e 2hp, 5hp, etc |
All4good:There are three [3] main reasons that culminated in the designing of this machine 1. To save cost of production 2. To increase production output 3. Ensuring effective and efficient utilisation of resources. It is basically design for BUSINESS FARMERS AND NOT JUST FARMER. For you to be a successful farmer, you need to inculcate business principles to save cost and increase productivity and profit. Now to your question, it is possible to use 5hp gasoline to power the pelleting and the alternator. However, you will agree that gasoline generators are not design for rugged and long hour operation. And in order to avoid system collapse and operation breakdown that is why we choose diesel engine to drive the entire system. I will post later in the day the cost, category and advantages of our GPP 3 in 1 Diesel Engine |
valenjohnex:It depend on the quantity of what your production would be, you can choose from the [4] four categories Small 3 in 1 GPP Medium 3 in 1 GPP Giant 3 in 1 GPP Super Giant 3 in 1 GPP |
seskee:Sir, you can contact this handle, Saheed3 He is an expert in tarpaulin construction |
Yes the solution is here, we can now take a breath of relief from the economic downturn that is hitting every sector most especially the one that is affecting us as fish farmer. In the past few weeks we have been hit with increase in the price of feed as well as unavailability of electricity to pump water into our ponds. Feed that was sold 16months ago at N3800 is now been sold at N7,000 and above nonetheless the price of fish has remain the same. Many newbie who depend on PHCN and gasoline generator to power their farm no longer find it funny. The increase in electricity tariff couple with almost zero supply of electricity has dealt a big blow to many farms, this has equally been compounded with filling stations staff who demand additional money from gullible farmers that only need fuel for his generator. Many filling stations bluntly denied selling fuel for farmers and the one who sell collect extra money while you only get half of what you paid for. No thanks to doctored dispensing meter by cunning fuel attendants. Just as we are trying to cope with this harsh situation, the increment in price of fuel came in and a litre of gasoline jump from 87naira to 145naira. Purchasing power of average Nigerian shrank as the economy goes into recession with 2 consecutive quarter giving negative signs. This is indeed a trying time for business people in Nigeria. Small scale businesses are folding up while the struggling ones are making huge loss. When the time get tough the tough gets going and it take a tough mind to venture into fish farm business in Nigeria where the business terrain is very rough. NOW THE SURVIVAL PLAN: This economic reality has led to the development of a means of generating power and feed production for individual farm that brings about the designing of 3 in 1 grinding, pelleting and power generating system for farm. The GPP Diesel Machine can now supply your farm with the electricity to power your farm as well as serves as production unit for your fish feed you only need to tap into this innovation and you will be relieved of unnecessary expenses. It will enable you to take control of your business and makes you have a foundation to excel in fish farm. Here i unveil for the first time in our generation a powerful 3 in 1,multipurpose locally made machine that grind, pelletise and provide power supply to your farm

[quote author=Vikings007 post=46822263][/quote]Thank you sir, have not heard from you since |
akhis:Am in Abuja, constructed new similar pond February this year. Check my handle to see the pics at the initial stage before erecting the pillars |
aoladayo:I would refer you to Ab1x formula. Click on the handle and read his post you'll find the right formula to use Summary of my formula is as follows 2mm and 3mm Fish meal 40% [I use grinned clupeid] Blood meal 5-10% [depends] Soya Meal 20% GNC 20% Bewery Waste 5-10%[Depends] Corn not more than 5% [Cooked Corn flour] 4mm Fish meal 25-30% Blood Meal 10% Soya 20% GNC 20% Bewery Waste 15% Corn not more than 10% [Cooked corn flour] 6mm and above Fishmeal 10% Blood Meal Ideal 13% Extreme 15% Soya 25% GNC 25% Bewery Waste/Broiler Starter 10% Corn not more than 15% [Cooked corn flour] I include less than 500g of Lysine and Methonine and Vit C for 2mm and 3mm [Inclusion of Lysine for 2mm & 3mm is optional] I incude between 500g and 1kg of Lysine and Methonine and Vit C for 4mm and above I introduce palm oil from 3mm Include 1kg salt for every 100kg formula You can as well formulate MEDICATED FEED of 2mm, 3mm, 4mm, 6mm and 8mm with the above formula you only need to add synthetics vitamins / Mineral and antibiotics 5kg of 2mm Medicated feed 5kg of 3mm Medicated feed 15kg of 4-8mm Medicated feed The formula is for 100kg Edited Note: Your water management while using local formula especially on concrete pond must be optimum [Preferably every other day] to avoid outbreak of disease. This must be followed by careful planning of regular water supply to your ponds. Sorting to two ponds after the first two weeks is alright. Once you stock, there should be cover either tarpaulin or roofing. I cover my pond completely in the first month of stocking fingerlings with small portion to retain constant temperature. You might be lucky not to have temperature fluctuation at night in your location |
akhis:This is a very good work, may God continue to strengthen our effort. However i will advice insert pillars most especially in between the L of 16 feet to make your pond solid since you didnt bind it with iron after the second coach of block. Where is your location sir, and you source of water supply? |
dondo83:goldgate2003@yahoo.com |
omisakint:If you are stocking juvenile fine, but if it is fingerling you have to be careful |
Chai, this one na expensive greeting |
normal discussion |
omisakint:What sort of pond are you using, if it is concrete pond, wash your pond and treat your fish with salt and tetracyclin asap. Change your water regularly, do flow through at night. Feed before six in the evening |
somafol:You have taken the bold step and God will see you through. Please dont ignore any of your management practises. Be proactive in making decision. Pay attention to details and you will not regret it. You also need to make provision for treatment at regular interval, dont wait before sign of disease outbreak before administering preventive drugs. Please can you post the [CP] Crude Protein of each of the mm you bought and at what price? Where is your location? |
To all fish farmers in Asokoro, Maitama, Yanyan, Karu, Jikwoyi, Mararaba, Massaka axis in Nassarawa State can now visit Pearlyfish @ pearlyfish farm to pellet your feed. Her Super Giant GPP Diesel Engine is rugged and eager to pellet large quantity of feed of different sizes from 2mm, 4mm, 6mm and 8mm. pearlyfish: |
excelsiorfarm:Thanks for the word of encouragement and i will assure you that idea was not driven by financial gain, rather it was driven by genuine passion to succeed together with hard working people that have chosen to go into fish farming. It is simply borne out of an idea of using a stone to kill three birds. We are continually been frustrated daily by the environment that we rely on to succeed. Local production is the only survival way to go |
