I beg to differ. The Bible doesn't contain errors in a sense. Yes, there are what I'll term typographic errors, not from the rootsource but as it was passed on. This is human limitation. Yet God has so guided His Word that nothing significant or of real consequence has been lost or made unclear. Holy men as they were moved/inspired by God, wrote the Bible.[/b]
Great men all over the world and through history do not read an ordinary book. The sick do not get healed by reading an ordinary book. Billions of people through thousands of years do not meditate on the same ordinary book. Different countries, developed and otherwise do not form their laws and lives around ordinary books. Thousands of literates do not sit typing on NL and other forums over an ordinary book. Get real.[/b]
In other words, the Quaran written by a supposedly illiterate mohammed is no ordinary book. . .allah be praised! Same goes for the mormon bible by bingham young or grail message by abdu rushin.

I wonder why you choose to disregard the koran and all other powerful books read by thousands and focus on the catholic bible.

morning Tudor - how are you today, i see you are still harping on about the George Bush situation
And here I was thinking the topic is about Bush and his appointment. . . .have you changed the OP and I missed it? -
okay i will answer your question with an excerpt from a mainstream newspaper describing Bush's unbeleivable incompetence during that catastrophe:

Hurricane Katrina Left a Mark on George W. Bush’s Presidency
By Kenneth T. Walsh
Posted December 11, 2008

Botching Katrina.

It was a disaster at every level. But in political terms, the government's failure to respond effectively to Hurricane Katrina in the late summer of 2005 was Bush's biggest setback at home. "Katrina showed he is incompetent," says Howard Dean, outgoing chairman of the Democratic National Committee. "Before Katrina, everyone, including America's friends and enemies, believed if something awful happened in the world, you could call in the Americans and they'd fix it." The government response to the hurricane, which devastated New Orleans and much of the Gulf Coast, ruined that reputation, Dean argues.

Bush seemed slow off the mark as millions of people suffered, and he created a lasting image of isolation when the White House released photos of him, a solitary figure in his cushy seat, looking out a window on Marine One at the hurricane devastation far below. He also made a huge mistake when he praised Michael Brown, the director of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, with a now infamous attaboy—"Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job"—even though the agency was botching the disaster response, adding to the impression that Bush was out of touch.

http://www.usnews.com/articles/news/politics/2008/12/11/hurricane-katrina-left-a-mark-on-george-w-bushs-presidency.html
Firstly, evem if Bush were to miraculouly heal the katrina victims, the democrats would still find faults so quoting a democrat doesn't help your cause.

Then, even if GB screwed up during katrina did he not show considerable improvement in the next disaster that was the california fires?

Where is it written in stone that a man isn't allowed one mistake and subsequently learn from it?

Infact, having been president during two major disasters like katrina and the carlifornia fires that gives george bush a wealth of experience in such matters and he definately wont make the same mistakes again.

He does allow it to punish sin? Whatever happened to the thousands of christians killed?

You make it sound like by talking about it, it in anyway prevents or precipitates such earthquake in the future.

We're entirely powerless against such disasters the only thing we can do is talk.
Christianity EtcRe: God And Natural Disaters by Tudor6(f): 9:54am On Jan 17, 2010
Yes it was God who caused the earthquake. . .he let out a big fart and the entire earth had to quake.

If my justification is poor, Abuzola, for the owner to do as He wishes to his possesion, what do you think of a man who kills a man then sleeps with his victims wife the same night? Or what say you to a man who got his own son to divorce his wife because he wanted to sleep with his child's wife? Or what do you say to a man who "thighed" a 6 year old till she was 9 then slept with her? Have you ever asked yourself why that child never gave birth? Is it out of place to suggest that the man destroyed her tiny womanhood and that was why she couldn't have children?

How do you justify that man for you to follow him?

At least my justification was for an owner. What is yours for this character?
*BIG YAWN*

Did your father Abraham not have sex with his sister sarah? Is that not incest?

Did uncle Moses not exterminate women, children and even infants just to steal their lands? Is that not genocide and ethicnic cleansing?

I wonder why you christians go on mouthing off to the muslims like the forebeares of your cult are any holier.

You sound as if you're not used to engaging in intelligent debate- how can you ask such a silly question after the Katrina fiasco that Bush was supposed to have been in charge of.

Would you feel confident of receiving adequate help if you were a Haitian caught up in this catastrophe if you knew that George Bush had been put in charge of it?

why is this so difficult for you to understand - normal people with functioning brains immediately understand how farcical it is to have someone like him involved in this releif effort but with you one has to engage in unecessary debate about something which is glaringly obvious.

all i can say is  i cant help you if you are still unaware of the role that Bush played in the delivery of relief to victims of the Katrina catastrophe. angry
Ha ha ha. . .YOU ARE A FOOLISH MAN. You're so blinded by your hate that you refuse to engage your brains.

Bush was president and OVERALL commander during katrina, is he president now?

This is the third time am asking you this, HOW EXACTLY IS Bush's appointment going to AFFECT THE DELIVERY OF AID?

Does it lie with bush to APPROVE government relief aid and supplies for haiti?

Do you seriously think if Bush were to make any decision it wouldn't be first put through to obama for approval?

Infact since we put it to you that bush and clinton are just figurheads to give attention to the relief efforts which you deny, can you please tell us what EXACTLY are the roles of bush and clinton and what they have the power to do and not do?

Answer these questions and stop raving like a mad man about dafur.

you are either too dumb or too ignorant to understand the implications of having someone like bush at the helm of this operation - or could it be amnesia that you are suffering from?  have you forgotten what happened to thousands of blacks stranded in new orleans during Katrina?
You're indeed daft no doubt.

Again I ask, HOW does George bush's appointment or not AFFECT THE DELIVERY OF AID TO HAITI?

Is it Bush that is gonna approve the sums to be donated in aid? Does the ultimate decision as to where the aid goes lie with bush?

The EX presidents were merely called upon to be figureheads and nothing more!

Stop ranting aimlessly please.
Foreign AffairsRe: Obama Appoints George Bush For Haiti Relief Effort! by Tudor6(f): 6:25pm On Jan 16, 2010
And so what? Is George Bush not a human being?

People should concentrate on getting the aid to haitians rather than thoughtlessly bickering about who's in charge or not.

I won't blame the guy for saying such things cuz that country actually owns every form of voodoo you can think of. I sympathise with them cuz nobody in this world deserves to be caught in such predicament. But this is a country where all forms of devil worshipping takes place on daily basis and it is seen as normal, so why won't someone dream that up as the reason for their present condition. Take a cue from the story of Sodom & Gomorah.
Why are africans so foolish?

The religions, faith and belief of our ancestors have now become voodoo, devil worship and evil while the rubbish of islam and christiany brought by arabs and the white man who both came to enslave and plunder your lands are held as true holy and pure religions.

Is this stupiidity genetic or what?
