Jman06: This is why i advise students to focus on acquiring knowledge and not just getting a first class. Knowledge is what stands you out. It is an entirely different thing from just carrying a first class degree certificate. Lecturers need to shift focus from examination to imparting knowledge. The issue is that students focus on how to pass exams alone and they employ different strategies to just pass their exams and once exam is done and dusted, they forget everything. Lecturers encourage this by giving out materials which the students are expected to reproduce in exam and woe betide a student who provides the same information from a different soure. So, students cram the lecture materials and just pour them without really understanding the course. That is the problem! Some of these first class graduates know next to nothing because of the way they were taught.

Guy, the truth is, they must have gotten a candidate for the position. I worked for a multinational(MTN)for almost 10 years. What they do is to advertise for a candidate who already owns the job(usually internal candidate) every other person applying is just wasting his or her time, particularly if the position is not a very technically inclined one(even if it is) I have witness a case where somebody was asking a manager who heads the unit that has the new Job advert, and to my surprise, the manager told the person that the position already has an owner so he should not bother applying. This happens in MTN very well. My advise, try other companies, or better still, try to acquire a skill and make urself indispensable by capitalizing on opportunities where ur skill is needed and earn money from financial freedom than all this job seeking full of politics.

This may sound very petty but what do I do with my husband. He is driving me crazy!
We have been married for almost a year but I swear,I cannot take it anymore.
Chris is very dirty and lazy. I try my best as a wife to handle all he cleaning. Chris drops his dirty clothes everywhere. His boxers everywhere. His wet towels everywhere.
All these dirty habits been driving me nuts but the most annoying is,Chris does not like to shower before intimacy. Shower is one thing,mouth brushing is another!

BlueBrothers: Nigeria’s largest mobile carrier, MTN with over 50 million subscribers said it is total revenue for Nigeria in Q3 rose by 11.2% supported by data revenue growth of 72.1%. MTN Group president and chief executive officer Rob Shuter said the key growth drivers of data and digital services performed well.
The South Africa-based MTN Group also noted that the Q3 revenue was “largely driven by lower reported subscribers in Nigeria as we continue to refine our active subscriber definitions as well as the disconnection of approximately 750 000 subscribers in Uganda as a result of regulatory SIM registration requirements”. However, the group’s total subscribers fell to 230.2 million with Nigeria’s company’s subscriber base falling to 50.3 million, which represents a 5.2% quarter on a quarterly decline.
The telecoms landscape have been experiencing a turbulent business operating environment with the decline in voice revenue due to increased offerings of internet-enabled multimedia (voice, images, and video calls) mobile applications such as WhatsApp and BBM Messenger.
MTN has not also given an update on its proposed listing on the Nigeria Stock Exchange, NSE yet.
