Religion / How To Raise The Dead And Heal The Sick By Tunde Korede by TundeKorede: 8:26am On Oct 25, 2020 |
Jesus has given every believer the grace to minister healing to the sick and raise the dead. He said before he left, that believers would be able to heal the sick. He says; Mark 16:18 [18]They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; THEY SHALL LAY HANDS ON THE SICK AND THEY SHALL RECOVER. Jesus did not say that it is only the so-called ministers of the gospel that would raise the dead. But everyone who believes in Him. Also, He said to the disciples that as He sent them off to preach that; Matthew 10:7-8 And proclaim as you go, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ Heal the sick, RAISE THE DEAD, cleanse lepers, cast out demons. You received without paying; give without pay. So, we have been given the authority to hijack mankind from the clutches of sudden death and sickness. No Christian is here on earth to look nice and beautiful alone. But believers are here on earth to exercise dominion over every work of the devil. You and I can raise the dead and heal the sick if we have given our lives to Christ. Only Jesus Biblically, be reminded that it is only Jesus that hold the power of death and hades (Rev 1:18). Nobody else can bring back to life except Jesus. Please, learn the Biblical technicalities of how to raise the dead and heal the sick. It is so easy to do all these, if you believe. Calmly read this article because it contains Life and the Power of God. Warning: If you have not given your life to Jesus Christ. This cannot work for you at all. Give your life to Him and He will use you too. Must Read: How To Make God Answer Your Prayers Speedily •Have Compassion On Them Mark 1:41 [41]And Jesus, moved with COMPASSION, put forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou clean. Here, Jesus was moved with compassion when He saw the leper. Anyone who doesn’t have compassion for the sick cannot tap into God’s Anointing to heal them. Compassion is the passion that pushes you to draw from God’s Anointing. The power of God is always available but if you don’t love the sick, you can’t heal them. More so, if you don’t love the dead, you can’t raise them. Until you have the heart for people’s healing, God cannot use you. Fact: No Compassion, No Healing Today, you see many preachers who want to raise the dead in order to have fame. They really want to minister healing to people because they want to be famous and wealthy. Whereas, that is not how to manifest God’s power. Let’s have the heart for the well-being of the people. Furthermore, anytime you pray to God to help you heal someone. Firstly, He will check the motive behind your prayer. Be reminded that God looks into the heart and not to the outward appearance. In other words, before healing can take place through you must be compassionate. #2. How To Heal The Sick • Lay Hands On Them Of course, this is in consonant with Mark 16:18 which says; [18]They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. Just lay hands on them and watch the healing power of God. You are not to be fidgeting while you exhibit God’s dominion on earth. Lay your hands on the sick with confidence. Hence, the Apostle Paul did that when the father of Publius was sick with fever. Let’s read it here; Acts 28:8 [8]And it came to pass, that the father of Publius lay sick of a fever and of a bloody flux: to whom Paul entered in, and prayed, and LAID HIS HANDS ON HIM, and HEALED him. After Paul laid his hands on him and prayed, the man was instantly healed. Mystery Behind God’s Hand What’s the mystery behind God’s hand? Habakkuk 3:4 [4]And his brightness was as the light; he had horns coming out of HIS HAND, AND THERE WAS THE HIDING OF HIS POWER. Truly, the power of God resides in the hand of God. And believers as His representatives also have this power in their hands. See, this is what you do when you lay your hands on the sick or dead. You transfer the Anointing of the Lord to that person through your hand. Many times, when Jesus ministered healing to people he used his hands. He touched the casket of that dead son of Nain (Luke 7:14). He touched the hand of Peter’s mother-in-law (Mat 8:14). You will see instances like these in the Bible. Therefore, another way of ministering healing to the sick is by laying on of hands. Just touch them and they would be healed. • Be Divinely Guided Dear friend, you may find yourself praying over the dead for hours without any notable change. You may find yourself spending hours praying for a sick person without having any healing result. Sadly, some people just feel they can just go to the street, find the physically challenged and be healing them. Again, after reading this, some people might feel like going to every rehab center and hospital to minister healing to people. My friend, you need to be calm and listen to the leading that the Holy Spirit gives you. Read this passage carefully to buttress my point; Luke 4:25-27 [25]But I tell you of a truth, many widows were in Israel in the days of Elias, when the heaven was shut up three years and six months, when great famine was throughout all the land; [26]But unto none of them WAS ELIAS SENT save unto Sarepta, a city of Sidon, unto a woman that was a widow. [27]And many lepers were in Israel in the time of Eliseus the prophet; and none of them was cleansed, saving Naaman the Syrian. Prophet Elijah was unable to minister to the widows in Isreal because he wasn’t sent there. It wasn’t because there was no widow in Isreal but he was not sent there. Beware Of Zeal Without Knowledge Practically, avoid zeal without wisdom. Don’t just be zealous without having knowledge. Even Prophet Elisha could not heal the lepers in Isreal because he was not sent to them. He was able to heal only Naaman who was a Syrian. Listen, the fact that you have many sick people on your street doesn’t mean you have been sent to them. If you are not sent to people by God to minister to them, no healing will take place. Do not disturb yourself. Only hear from God and know where He has sent you to. Because you will be able to raise the dead you have been sent to raise. That’s how to to minister healing to people. • Anoint Them James 5:14, 15 [[14]Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: [15]And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Is anyone sick among you? Let him or her be anointed and prayed for. It’s as simple as that. Will that person be healed? Absolutely Yes. Try to anoint the sick person with oil and pray for them and they shall be healed. But don’t buy anointing oil. Neither Jesus nor the Apostles sold any anointing oil in the Bible. Let’s stick to the Word. Let the man of God pray on the anointing oil and be anointed. Then, your healing is certain. Sexual Addiction And How To Be Totally Free From It However, the disciples had this testimony to give about the anointing oil. Mark 6:13 [13]And they cast out many devils, and ANOINTED WITH OIL many that were sick, and healed them. • Send The Word Of God To Them Psalms 107:20 [20]He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. Send God’s Word to them. Make sure God’s Word reach those people wherever they are. Preach to them. As you preach, people get delivered. Most Importantly, the Word of God can revive any dead person. God’s Word can liberate them. Increase the faith of the sick and enable God to heal such people by making them to hear His Word. • Pray The Prayer Of Faith James 5:15 15]And the PRAYER OF FAITH shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Note this, it is not the prayer of fear that will heal the sick but the prayer of faith. Pray to God by standing on His promises of healing in your prayers. And the Lord will confirm His word. Hence, as you pray, do not forget to invoke the name of Jesus constantly. The devil cannot stand it. No sickness or grip of death can overcome His name. Additionally, it is impossible for God to deny His Word. He will surely confirm it, just pray in faith. Prayer of fear will not get you any answer. Summary • Allow the Lord to guide you as you go about healing people in the name of Jesus. Don’t just go out and be praying for everyone that you see on the road. • Great compassion will make you draw from God’s power to heal the brokenhearted. Have a heart for God’s people and He will use you. • Anointing oil should not be sold by any man of God. Because it is another means of exploiting people. And no believer should buy it from any man of God if they truly know whom they have believed. • Lay hands and pray for the sick. Then, leave the remaining in the hands of God to perfect. God heals! Just believe! Readers, have you been blessed? Let me know through your thought in the comment section below. Source: http://www.tundekorede.com/how-to-easily-heal-the-sick-and-raise-the-dead/ |
Religion / How Christians Can Stay Strong During Trying Times - Tunde Korede by TundeKorede: 8:41am On Aug 30, 2020 |
During difficult times, people easily lose their faith in God and do incredulous things. I have heard of people, especially believers who committed suicide during difficult times. Life isn’t a bed of roses, you know. Jesus did not promise us a life without trouble, tribulations and vicissitudes (John 16:33). Problems are bound to come. It is how we respond to those problems that reveal our level of maturity in the things of God. Peruse through this article as we consider how you can stay strong during hard or unfavourable times. Must Read: How To Pray Effectively As A Christian How To Stay Strong During Hard Times • Remember What God Has Done For You Before When David was faced with a challenge which could be describe as ‘impossible’ for him to overcome. David had to get rid of a man called Goliath — the man who had been fighting from his childhood. It was a very difficult battle for him. But what did he do? He encouraged himself by recalling how God gave him victory sometime ago. 1 Samuel 17:37 [37]David said moreover, The LORD that DELIVERED ME OUT of the paw of the lion, and out of the paw of the bear, HE WILL DELIVER ME OUT OF THE HAND OF THIS PHILISTINE. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee. It was his testimony that he used to encourage himself that He would surely overcome despite all odds. Stay Strong Dear friend, anytime you feel there is no hope for you again. Always remember how God has helped you to overcome in the past. God has never changed and He will never change (Mal 3:6). God is still God because He can visit you miraculously again. Let the past miracles you’ve seen and heard encourage you to believe the unshakable power of God. Listen to the testimonies of other believers. There are some people who have gone through what you are going through now and they came out victorious. See, there is nothing new under the sun (Eccl 1:9). Listen to testimonies and let them inspire you. CrossWalk: 10 Reasons to Share Your Testimony Also, let your own testimony of past miracles inspire you to keep believing. You can stay strong if you will let faith-boosting testimonies inspire you to keep believing. 10 Benefits In Sharing Testimonies • Encourage Yourself In The Lord 1 Samuel 30:4,6 [4]Then David and the people that were with him lifted up their voice and wept, until they had NO MORE POWER TO WEEP. [6]And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: BUT DAVID ENCOURAGED HIMSELF IN THE LORD HIS GOD. In the above cited scriptural verses, we can plainly read how David encouraged himself. His property he toiled to acquire had been burnt down. His wives and children have been taken captives. More so, not only David’s wives and children were taken captives. David’s men — followers families were taken captives too. It was as difficult as that. Nevertheless, David and his men wept till they had no power. All of a sudden, the men were talking of stoning him. Immediately, David encouraged himself in the Lord his God. What does it mean to encourage yourself in the Lord? It means trusting God despite non-visibility of clear cut solutions to one’s problem. You brace up! You cheer on though you know things are difficult. That was exactly what David did. Try To Stay Strong Beloved, anytime you encounter whatever you think is unbearable for you. Encourage yourself in the Lord. Nobody else can do this for you. You are the only one who will make up your mind to do so. See, it is when you encourage yourself that you will be able to see many opportunities that are available. Be encouraged and you’ll stay strong, active and lively during hard times. Christma Magazine: How To Encourage Yourself In The Lord [b• Rejoice[/b] Philippians 4:4 [4]Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Historically, it was believed that Paul wrote this above verse when he was in prison. So amazing! A man who was in prison wrote to those who had freedom of movement to rejoice! As you can see, he reiterated his point, saying people should rejoice. Biblically, you don’t rejoice because you have no problem. But you rejoice because you know the Lord is strong enough to help you overcome your challenges. Rejoice so that you can stay strong. When Joseph was in prison, he was not downhearted. As a matter of fact, he was the one seeking the way out for those who were downhearted (Gen 40:6-7). Take a leaf out of Joseph’s book and stay strong. Tunde Korede: How To Know You Are In A Wrong Relationship • Develop Your Faith Job 19:25 [25]FOR I KNOW THAT MY REDEEMER LIVETH, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: Job was able to utter these faith-boosting words because he had developed his faith in God. Someone who does not know the God he serves cannot utter such statement. Truly, whenever you find yourself in any difficult situation. Don’t go about blaming God for the misfortune you have incurred. Just be ready to develop your faith. Articles like this, tapes and teachings that will make grow spiritually should be consulted by you. Read readable ones and eat the eatable ones. Grow in faith, so as to stay strong in any situation. I have discovered that it is not really the problem people have that kills them. But it is lack of faith that kills people. Faith comes by hearing. Some people listen to things that kill their faith. And that’s why troubles overwhelm them. Strong: Why You Should Not Commit Suicide • Pray Matthew 26:38-39 [38]Then saith he unto them, MY SOUL IS EXCEEDING SORROWFUL, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me. [39]And he went a little further, and fell on his face, AND PRAYED, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou wilt. Obviously, Jesus said he was exceedingly sorrowful. When he was in such position, what did he do? He prayed. In other words, if Jesus could be exceedingly sorrowful. Who are you to say God is unfair to you because of little problem you have? Manage your problems by going before the Lord. Pray to Him. Communicate your needs to Him. I have discovered that whenever I pour out my needs before God, my anxiety goes out. Prayer empties my heart. Do likewise. Tell God your needs. Let Him know you are not okay with that unfavorable condition. And keep trusting Him as He work things out for you. Thanks for reading. Religion / 5 Reasons Christians Should Share Testimonies In Church - Tunde Korede by TundeKorede: 8:26am On Aug 30, 2020 |
A lot of believers are oblivious to the benefits embedded in sharing testimonies in Church. Although, testimonies are not to be shared in Church alone, they can be shared at home too. In this article, we shall examine the biblical reasons for sharing testimonies. My belief is that you will join the league of testifiers in Church after reading this blogpost. Five Reasons Why You Need To Share Your Testimonies In Church (1) To Strengthen The Faith Of Others David shared the testimony of how he killed a lion and a bear with King Saul. After sharing the story, Saul’s faith in the God David served was strengthened. 1 Samuel 17:36-37 [36]Thy servant slew both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Philistine shall be as one of them, seeing he hath defied the armies of the living God. [37]David said moreover, The LORD that delivered me out of the paw of the LION, and out of the PAW OF THE BEAR he will deliver me out of the hand of this Philistine. And Saul said unto David, Go, and the LORD be with thee. If David didn’t share that testimony with Saul. He would not have allowed him to go and fight the Philistine. Saul knew that if a man could overcome a lion, the king of the jungle. He should be able to overcome any warrior in life. When we share our testimonies in Church, we strengthen our faith and the faith of others. If you share the testimony of how you labored and gave birth afterwards. There are some pregnant women whose faith will be strengthened. In other words, we boost the faith of others when we share testimonies in Church. Testimony makes people to foresee possibilities and eradicate every form of impossibilities. (2) Jesus Expects You To Share Your Testimony Ten lepers were healed by Jesus and only one out of them came to Jesus to share his testimony. And Jesus responded saying; Luke 17:16-17 [16]And fell down on his face at his feet, giving him thanks: and he was a Samaritan. [17]And Jesus answering said, WERE THERE NOT TEN CLEANSED? BUT WHERE ARE THE NINE? This statement explains the fact that Jesus expected all the ten healed lepers to share their testimonies. But it was only one person who came back to give thanks. Till today, Jesus expects us to go to where we have been healed and share our testimony. He expects us to give the testimony of how he saved us. He expects us to share the testimony of how he blessed and protected us. Do not be an ungrateful believer. When we share testimony, it shows our hearts of gratitude. It enables the Lord to know that we appreciate Him for what He has done. It is not enough to tell you friends. Go to the person God used for you and share your testimony. After Jesus healed the madman of Gadarenes. He told him to go and testify to his people at home; Mark 5:19 [19]Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee. Be a testifier! Don’t be an ingrate! How To Know You Are In a Wrong Relationship (3) To Bring Many People To Christ It was the testimony of Jesus that the Samaritan woman shared with her friends that made many to believe Christ. John 4:39 [39]And many of the Samaritans of that city believed on him for the saying of the woman, WHICH TESTIFIED, He told me all that ever I did. The woman was not an ingrate. She didn’t hide under the canopy of being a shy type of a woman. She went around and publicise the ministry of Christ. Her testimony was enough for many Samaritans to believe in Jesus. Therefore, testimonies bring people to Christ. There are people who will never be captivated by exegesis of the Scriptures. But there are people who will be captivated by true life stories of how Christ librates men. These men need our testimony! Never hesitate to share the testimony that will bring many to Christ. Your testimony of healing can make an unbeliever to accept Christ. (4) It’s The Secret Of Victors Revelation 12:11 [11]And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and BY THE WORD OF THEIR TESTIMONY; and they loved not their lives unto the death. Victorious believers will always have testimonies to share. When David overcame Lion and a bear, he had a testimony to share. Those who want to ensure consistent dominion over the works of the devil must be consistent testifiers. The more you share your testimonies, the more God blesses you. The more you appreciate Him before many people. The more He will continue to give you songs of praise and reasons to share testimonies. To be a victor, you must be a consistent testifier. Biblical Reasons Why You Should Celebrate Your Birthday (5) To Make God’s Grace Known To People 1 Corinthians 15:9-10 [9]For I am the least of the apostles, that am not meet to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. [10]But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not in vain; but I laboured more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. Paul, the apostle, shared his testimony of how God located him through grace. He maintained that everything he achieved was by the grace of God. Testimony validates the grace of God upon our lives. We are not ascribing glory to ourselves but to God. When glory is given to God, He blesses us and sees our humility. Paul was humble enough to ascribe his success to God’s grace. This is exactly what we do, when we share our testimonies. Warning!!! • No man of God is to be exalted while sharing testimony. Testimony should be shared in order to return glory to God and strengthen the faith of others. • We don’t share testimonies to showoff but to recognize God’s grace. • Believers should desist from sharing fabricated stories in order to stir the faith of men. Be plain and be truthful whenever you share your testimony In Church. • It is not really polite to share a testimony of a work that is not complete. For example, there is no point sharing a testimony that you have gotten pregnant when you have not given birth. If you want to do that, do it wisely. Thank you so much for reading. Please, leave a comment after reading. Also, today is Tunde Korede's birthday, a young Nigerian Christian Blogger. You can take time to encourage me in the comment section below. Thanks! Religion / Six Things A Christian Should Never Do - Tunde Korede by TundeKorede: 8:21am On Aug 23, 2020 |
The Word “Christian” is not an emblem. It is the name given to the real followers of Jesus Christ. There are many who professed to be Christians today, yet, they are nothing but unbelievers. Christians are expected to possess Christ-like character. They are supposed to be representatives of Christ on earth. They are supposed to possess certain qualities that set them apart from unbelievers. However, there are certain qualities that are repugnant to Christ-like character. Also, there are things a good Christian should never do. Come with me as I highlight and expound them one after the other. Six Things A Good Christian Should Never Do • Never Hate 1 John 2:9,11 [9]He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. [11]But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes. Your Christian living is faulty if you have certain people you hate. If you have developed deep hatred towards certain people whom God created, you are not a good Christian. More so, the lifeblood of Christianity is love and no true believer should hate any human being. The Bible says you abide in darkness, if you hate people. No matter what others have done for you, the word, “Hatred” should not be found in you anymore. We are commanded to love everyone. You are not to love believers and hate unbelievers. God loves the World and He gave us His only begotten son. That’s the kind of love every Christian should possess. God expects us to love all men, irrespective of their belief, lifestyle, exposure, tribe, or nationality. So, one of the things a Christian should never do is to hate people. Hatred is true mark of our fellowship with the devil – darkness. The true mark of a believer is love. [/b]• A Good Christian Should Never Hold Grudges Against Anyone[/b] Ephesians 4:31 [31]LET ALL BITTERNESS, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: Biblically, every believer is to put away every from of malice. How can you call yourself a Christian and find it easier to hold grudges against people? Grudge is a deep-seated and/or long-term animosity or ill-feeling about something or someone. It may be because of a past bad deed or mistreatment. Definitely, people will offend us. They will do specific things that will incite us against them. But a good believer will not keep malice with them. We are to love them for who they are. Candidly, if you are referred to as a Christian. And you love to hold grudges against people, my dear, you are not a true Christian. Because a true Christian is to put away malice. Today, forgive that person who have offended you. Start greeting him/her if he/she isn’t greeting you. End your dispute today. Who knows when Jesus will come back? Nobody. Once again, a true Christian will never hold grudges against his fellow. Hence, he forgiven them irrespective of the levity of the sin. Wrong Reasons For Fasting • Don’t Use Your Tongue Wrongly James 1:26 [26]If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain. You may be the type who attends Church from Sunday to the next Sunday. But whenever you come back home, you use your tongue wrongly. The Bible says your religion (Christianity) is false. Hence, a good believer should be able to bring his tongue under subjects. You should be able to keep your mouth shut at times. And you should know when to talk. People will doubt your testimony of salvation if you speak foul words. Believers should steer clear of corrupt communication such as abusive language, curses are coarse jesting. Also, if you are able to control your tongue, you are a perfect man (James 3:2). Don’t allow your tongue to control you as a believer. Indeed, as a good Christian, there are some things you should never say. There are words that should never come out of your mouth. Weigh your words. Don’t just talk. Represent Christ well on earth by bringing your tongue to subjection. • Refusal To Forgive People Ephesians 4:32 [32]And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you. Refusal to forgive people when they offend you is a sign of false Christianity. Christianity is a religion of love. And if you love your neighbors, you will forgive them. Check yourself if there is any root of bitterness in you. Anytime you find it difficult to forgive people, you are portraying yourself as an unbeliever. Those who fail to forgive others, will not be forgiven by God. We all make mistakes and we fall short of God’s glory at times. Yet, God forgives us. Then, who are you not to forgive all men? Any man can offend you. So, be prepared for it. As they offend you, forgive them. • Never Ignore The Need Of Others James 2:15-17 [15]If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, [16]And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? [17]Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone. Every believer is to authenticate his belief in God through works. Show me a Christian without works and I will show you an irresponsible believer. Let your good works speak for you. It’s unfair for you to see the needy and neglect them. If you have truly given your life to Christ. The Love in you will compel you to give to others. Who are those in need around you? The best way to display your Christianity to them is by helping them. For faith without works is dead. Sadly, there are innumerable wealthy Christians today, who hoard their wealth to themselves alone. They do not care about the wellbeing of others. Yet, they boast and show off their wealth to people in order to impress them. Even an average believer would tell you that, he/she will start giving when he/she become stinking rich. Many of us have failed in this aspect. Let’s forget about giving to receive more. The nature in us should compel us to change lives. If we give in order to receive, it means we are selfish. Let’s change and start helping people right now. Start from where you are right now. Don’t wait until you are too wealthy. • Never Forget The Rapture James 5:7 Therefore be patient, brethren, until the COMING OF THE LORD, The farmer waits for the precious produce of the soil, being patient about it, until it gets the early and late rains. Sadly, many who professed to be Christians have forgotten the coming of our Lord. If you ask an average Christian what he/she is expecting today. He/she will say he/she is expecting to be rich. This is wrong as riches will perish with this world. We should fix our hopes on eternity things not on earthly things. I hope this blessed you? Please, make sure you leave a comment after reading. Religion / Baseless Excuses Christians Give For Not Being Prayerful by TundeKorede: 7:50am On Aug 16, 2020 |
Some Christians rationalize their inability to engage the force of prayer without ceasing with irrelevant and baseless excuses. Believers have no other option than to pray endlessly. It is unequivocally written in First Thessalonians 5:17 that, “Pray without ceasing.” However, this article is not written in order to mock people of their inability to pray well. But it is to ignite the fire of prayer in them. As you see those useless excuses. Try to adjust and work on your prayer life. Because an excuse is a foundation upon which failure is built. More so, when you have a good prayer life, you will enjoy a good relationship with God. God will be pleased to reveal hidden things to you as you spend time with Him. Three Useless Excuses People Give For Not Being Prayerful Must Read: How To Make God Answer Your Prayers Speedily. • Excuse One: “I Am Too Busy And I Don’t Have Time.” Few Christians who possess poor level of planning are the ones who give this kind of excuse. And believers who see nothing good in prayers are the ones who say they don’t have time for prayers. Daniel 5:29 [29]Then commanded Belshazzar, and they clothed Daniel with scarlet, and put a chain of gold about his neck, and made a proclamation concerning him, that he should be the third ruler in the kingdom. Contemporarily, we can say Daniel was a prime minster. But Daniel kept a good prayer life due to his busy schedule. Don’t you know what it means when you are a prime minister of a country? You will keep having meetings upon meetings throughout the day. Also, don’t you know some politicians hold meetings at midnight? 5 Ways To Know A Good Church And attend Daniel God’s Word said concerning Daniel that; Daniel 6:10 [10]Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house; and his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem, he kneeled upon his knees THREE TIMES A DAY, and PRAYED, and gave thanks before his God, as he did aforetime. How challenging! Daniel still prayed three times a day. Imagine you, that you have not become anything, you can’t effectively pray once in a day. Sadly, some people think it is only poor people who should be praying every day. While the rich easily despise the poor for praying too much. Can I tell you the truth? Both the rich and the poor Christian need to pray without ceasing. Biblically, God did not say, ” Let the poor pray without ceasing and the rich should pray once in a while.” No. He didn’t say that. Wrong Reasons For Attending A Church Plan Stop giving irrelevant excuses. No excuses should be made for not praying. Only own up where you are wrong. Instead of giving prayer excuses, plan your life. My friend, definitely plan your life and find a means of praying despite your busy schedule. I’m not saying you should pray three times a day. But just be consistent and build a great prayer life. Cornelius was another man who prayed regularly despite being a Centurion (Acts 10:1). He had a job. Because some people assume that prayer is meant for jobless people. Every worker and jobless people need to pray as it is everyone who needs God. Prayer gives you an opportunity to commune with God. No Time You said you did not have time to pray, right? Let me ask you this; how do you normally have time to eat despite your tight schedule? How do you have time to wear your clothes? See, until you see prayer as a very important thing to do every day. You can’t develop a strong prayer life. It is because you see food as something important. That’s why you usually create time to eat despite your busy schedule. Again, you have time to wear clothes, because you know clothes are very imperative. I implore you to see prayer as a very imperative part of your Christian life. #Prayer Excuse • “Prayer Is Too Difficult “ Sometime ago, I heard someone who said prayer was very difficult for him. Honestly, I think prayer is difficult for those who have not developed quality relationship with God. Dear friend, I love it anytime I spend time with God in His presence. I just love His presence. And that’s how it should be for every living Christian. Romans 15:30 [30]Now I beseech you, brethren, for the Lord Jesus Christ’s sake, and for the love of the Spirit, that ye STRIVE TOGETHER with me in your prayers to God for me; Candidly, as a starter in the school of prayer. Start by striving to spend some time in God’s presence. Make sure you speak to Him every time. The more you spend time in His presence, the more you enjoy Him. Then, prayer now becomes very easy for you. 5 Things That God’s Anointing Cannot Do Excuse On Prayer • “Until I Have Problems Or Challenges I Don’t Pray.” Were you not surprised reading that baseless prayer excuse? Many believers still see prayer as what you do when you have problems. Until they are financially, physically, educationally challenged, they will not pray. Get this right, don’t pray only when you have problems. God is not a Doctor/Consultant that you go to when you have health challenges. Develop a good relationship with God. It is your relationship with Him that matters. And how do you develop it? Through consistent prayer lifestyle. See, how would you feel if the only time your friend comes to you is only when he has problems? Will you be willing to solve those problems every time? If that friend neglects you every time but remembers you when he has challenges. How would you feel? Bad, sad or disappointed? Realistically, that’s how it is when you take God as problem solver alone. That’s how it feels when you don’t see God as your father and friend. Another Prayer Excuse • Unanswered Prayers Additionaally, there are some people who have been praying to God for a long time. And God has not really granted their heart desires. Therefore, they intentionally stop praying. Because they think God will never answer their prayers. Mark 11:24 [24]Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. Just believe in the Lord. Every time you pray, believe that God has answered you. The result may not be visible now. But you shall see it soon. Even if God has not answered you. Continue praying without ceasing. Pray without ceasing. Eight Benefits Of Prayer Summary • Basically, busyness is not an excuse for ignoring prayers. You’re not the busiest person in the world. Even if you are, plan your time well so as to pray effectively. • Truly, prayer becomes your lifestyle as you cultivate the habit of praying despite any situation. • Our dear Lord should not be seen as a problem solver alone. We should develop a healthy relationship with Him. Let me know your thought on this article in the comment section below? Stop giving those prayer irrelevant excuses! Religion / Five Things Every Christian Should Know About Prayer by TundeKorede: 7:39am On Aug 16, 2020 |
The place of prayer is the place where we express our heart desires to God. In other words, we commune with God and He communicates His intentions to us as we pray to Him (Jer. 33:3). Jesus, our model, started His ministry with prayer and ended it with prayer. Therefore, in life, prayer is unavoidable for every Christian in their walk with God. We are to pray without ceasing (1 Thess. 5:17). Owning to the foregoing, we are to consider, five truths/things that we must understand about prayer. (1) Prayer Is An Investment Acts 10:4 (AMP) ...And the angel said to him, your prayers and your [generous] gifts to the poor have come up [as a sacrifice] to God and have been REMEMBERED BY HIM. Cornelius was a captain of the Italian Regiment, who had an enviable prayer life. He was a kind of man who prayed REGULARLY not once in a while. He had been praying like this before and it was not recorded that he had any angelic visitation in his vision. But he kept praying! Until one day, an angel told him that all his prayers have been remembered. You know you must have seen someone in the past, before you remember such person. So, God had seen Cornelius enough in the place of prayer that he remembered him. Therefore, a regular and consistent prayer-life is an investment which cannot be forgotten or overlooked by God. We are serving a meticulous God who knows the number of our hair (Matt. 10:30). So, I implore you to start investing in your spiritual account. Start investing! Invest massively so as to reap massively. (2) Prayer Is Mandatory Not Optional 1 Thessalonians 5:17 (KJV) Pray without ceasing. No one can receive anything except it is given to him freely from Above (John 3:27). Also, every good and perfect gift comes from above, from the Father of light (James 1:17). Therefore, prayer is mandatory for those who would love to receive every good thing in life from the Father of Light, not from the father of darkness. Please, prayer is not optional. Kingdom Generals are those who have mastered the art of praying consistently until results are evident in their lives and ministries. You must see prayer the way you see food and water. The main reason many say they do not have time to pray is that they see prayer as unimportant. At times, we get busy to the extent that we do not have time to eat. Due to the importance of food, we create time to eat. My counsel to you, is to create time to pray because prayer is important for everyday's triumph. (3) Joint Prayer Is Not A Substitute To Personal Prayer Acts 10:9 (NIV) About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, PETER WENT UP ON THE ROOF TO PRAY. If you ready Acts 4:24, Peter was among the Apostles who prayed together and the place where they prayed was shaken. Yet Peter was the type who found time to pray personally. Apostle Peter must have learnt this from Jesus, his master, who would often withdraw to a solitary place to pray. What exactly is my point here? Do not neglect your personal altar of prayer. There are revelations that will come to you when you pray alone that may never come to you while you pray with others. Summarily, joint prayer is not a substitute to personal prayer. You should have a strong personal prayer life. (4) Prayer Of Faith Guarantees Undeniable Results James 5:15 (KJV) And the PRAYER OF FAITH shall save the sick... Oftentimes, when we pray, we pray with doubts in our hearts. God does not want us to do this while praying because a doubtful man will receive nothing from him (James 1:6-. However, when we pray in faith, undeniable results are guaranteed. You must believe that God is able to do more than what you want to ask from Him. It is not enough to pray but we are to pray to God with absolute faith in Him. (5) Prayer Provokes Divine Guidance Jeremiah 33:3 (KJV) Call to me and I will answer thee, and SHEW THEE GREAT AND MIGHTY THINGS, which thou knowest not. God is committed to revealing deep secrets to you as you pray to Him. His Word is yea and Amen. He will surely reveal Himself to you, if you can pray consistently to Him. His Word is settled in heaven forever. Daniel became a man that was entrusted with mysteries of the end-time because he was a man who prayed three times a day. The more Daniel prayed, the more he received revelations from God. Also, Cornelius was guided on how salvation would come to his household because he was a prayerful man. So, pray continually! Stay blessed! Please, leave a comment if you have been blessed by this article. Source: http://www.tundekorede.com/5-things-you-should-know-about-prayer/ 26 Likes 6 Shares

Religion / Why Christians Should Stop Publicizing The Errors Of God's Servants by TundeKorede: 8:54am On Jul 05, 2020 |
TELL IT NOT IN GATH, PUBLISH IT NOT in the streets of Askelon; lest the daughters of the Philistines rejoice; lest the daughters of the uncircumcised triumph. 2 Samuel 1:20 (Emphasis’ mine) Sequel to an ignominious death of Saul, in the hands of the uncircumcised Philistines, David maintained in his lament that a torrent of abuse should not be published about his embarrassing death. Worthy of mention is the fact that, Saul made himself an obtrusive enemy to David whilst he was alive. Yet David would not permit the Israelites to share the news of his shameful death in such a way that the uncircumcised Philistines would hear it and rejoice. Needless to say, we can liken the Philistines to unbelievers, while the Israelites represent the believers of the present world. Nowadays, believers publicly spread the news of the errors of God’s servants (even fathers of faith are not spared) with no pang of remorse. In fact, it seems we now take delight in looking for news that are demeaning to the Body of Christ in order to share them on our social media accounts. In addition, we pounce on negative news like Piranhas. Sadly, there are pastors who publicly ridicule and speak disparagingly about their fellow ministers who are in error, forgetting that all humans are fallible. Hence, we expose the Body of Christ to a whole series of attacks, ridicule, and vituperation from unbelievers through our unwise disposition towards Men of God. However, much as I denounce the idea of spreading the news of the downfall/errors of ministers of God, I wouldn’t take sides with them on the atrocities they have committed. Bishop Oyedepo once stated that, ‘‘Sin is sin no matter who is sinning.’‘ I support this truth. Nonetheless, it is tomfoolery to assume that God’s servants are infallible. The reason why many of us are taken by surprise is that we expect too much from them. Listen, no man is infallible! Samson fell, Saul fell, Judas fell, even Peter would have fallen beyond restoration if not for the grace of God. May God keep us from falling till the end. Love does not take delight in sharing evil but rejoices at the truth (1 Cor 13:6). Love protects! So, protect the ministries of other believers. Do not expose them to danger and assaults. Therefore, walk in love. If we walk in love, the restoration of those who seemed to have fallen will be of concern to us, rather than their total fall or destruction. Let’s follow this priceless injunction of the Scriptures in Galatians 6:1, which says; ”Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fault, ye which are spiritual, restore such as one in the spirit of meekness, considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.” Speak to them and if you cannot speak to them, pray for them. Let the restoration of every fallen minister be paramount to you and not their destruction. May the Lord keep us till the end. Please, use the comment section to express your thought below. Religion / Biblical Reasons Why Christians Can Celebrate Their Birthday by TundeKorede: 8:46am On Jul 05, 2020 |
Birthday is a day that is an exact number of years after the day you were born. Birthday is also the anniversary of the birth of someone. Also, it gives you the opportunity to look back and praise the name of the Lord. Permit me to give you the sneak preview of what this article contains. There are many people who believe birthday is not worth celebrating at all. The celebration is all about celebrating the gift of life. Whenever we are privileged to witness our birthday, we should get excited and celebrate it with friends. However, the celebration I am referring to here is not having a big party which requires outrageous spending. Whereas, there are so many ways to celebrate something without spending outrageously. To be candid, if you know the biblical reasons why you should celebrate your day. You’ll be able to celebrate it every year. Do not just sneak a glance at this piece. Sit down, peruse carefully, digest the words and apply the teaching. Are We Allowed To Celebrate Birthday? Biblical Reasons Why You Should Celebrate Your Birthday • To Give Thanks To God Ephesians 5:20 [20]Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; Birthday 50-year old papa danced unto the Lord It is clearly written in God’s Word that we should give thanks always. But how many of us can boldly say we do that every day. See, there are some people who only give thanks to God only when things are fine. They see no reason to give thanks to God when things are bad. These people are the kinds of people who doesn’t give thanks to God always Hence, on your birthday, one of the things you will have opportunity to do; is to give thanks to God. A good Christian is expected to celebrate his birthday in order to show his heart of gratitude to God. Basically, that should be the core reason for having a birthday party. On your birthday, you are to praise the name of the Lord because it is by His grace that you have been sustained. God is the maker of all things. And the Bible says God sits in heaven and does whatever pleases Him (Psalm 135:6). Listen, In His pleasure, he has kept you alive. He deserves your praise. How To Know Someone Is About To Commit Suicide • Great People Celebrate Their Birthday Genesis 40:20 [20]And it came to pass the third day, which was Pharaoh’s birthday, that he made a feast unto all his servants: and he lifted up the head of the chief butler and of the chief baker among his servants. In those days, when Egypt was the world’s powerhouse. Pharoah, the king of Egypt celebrated his birthday. In addition to this, he made a feast for all his servants. Today, we can call that a birthday party. So, great people who are in position of power celebrate their day. Everyone wants to become great, right? But the point is, we automatically become great as we emulate some good habits great people have. We start by emulating the good habits of great people. You are to prepare for the big days ahead of you. Although, you may not have the money to organize a big birthday party. But, do it in a little way you can afford. Herod Also, Herod celebrated his day too; Mark 6:21 [21]And when a convenient day was come, that HEROD ON HIS BIRTHDAY MADE A SUPPER to his lords, high captains, and chief estates of Galilee. Herod was the governor of Galilee (Luke 3:1) at that time. In his days, he celebrated his birthday. Forget about his bad side. He also had a birthday party which eminent personalities attended. People were trilled as they were entertained by entertainers. Although, we are not commanded anywhere in the Bible to celebrate our birthdays. We are told to number our days which signifies birthday celebration. Also, we were not commanded anywhere in the Bible not to celebrate our birthdays. But as you become influential, people you have impacted positively will want to celebrate the day you were born. You may not have the opportunity to celebrate your birth anniversary in a big way. But bear it in mind that as you raise men, people will celebrate you. I believe, you’d be better off celebrating your day on a low-cost budget. Rather than not celebrating it at all. Read: Six Wrong Reasons For Attending Church • To Apply Your Heart To Wisdom Psalms 90:12 [12]So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom. This bible verse simply means your birthday is a day of assessment. How have I been living till today? Have I been living a life that adds value? What have I been doing wrong? What do I need to change about my lifestyle? How do we apply our hearts to wisdom as we celebrate our birthdays? The truth is, as you are aging, you are getting closed to the day of your death. Job’s Words Hence, Job talked about the fact that; the man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble (Job 14:1). We only have few days. This truth must be remembered by us every time we celebrate our birthday. Anytime you celebrate your birth anniversary, remember this truth. Because despite the glamour, glory and riches that are in this world. We are going to leave this world one day. Again, we must live under a constant apprehension of the shortness and uncertainty of life. And the near approach of death and eternity. Anyone who does not know the day he was born, may not be able to know his age and realize his/her closeness to death. But, this celebration provides an avenue for us to think about life. On that day, as you think on how you’ve been living. You may have to take a decision to live a life that adds value to people’s life. Instead of living a life that will bring you sorrow at the end of your sojourn on earth. We celebrate our day in order to apply our hearts to wisdom. What You Should Know About Birthday • Do not organize birthday to fulfil the lust of the flesh. It is to be celebrated to reveal your heart of gratitude to God for your existence. • Please, if you don’t have the money to organize a big birthday party, just enjoy yourself on that day. Have fun and praise God. • Add value to lives and in years to come, people will celebrate you. Not even your birthday alone. • Never have it in mind to take revenge over those who do not wish you well on your birthday. Just leave them to God. • Let your life be impactful and your generation will conceive a need to celebrate you. • If possible, invite your friends and relatives to your birthday party. Religion / Five Ways You Can Identify Witches And Sorcerers (part 1) by TundeKorede: 8:37am On Jul 05, 2020 |
Witchcraft is the use of magic powers, especially evil ones, to make things happen. It is the practice of magic, especially magic; the use of spells. Also, it can be described as the communication with the devil or familiar spirit. In clear terms, people who practise witchcraft are known as sorcerers (men) and witches (women). Therefore, a witch or sorcerer is someone who has received the spirit of witchcraft. Many assume that the operation of witchcraft is limited to Africa. Thus, we feel that people in Asia and European countries are too sophisticated to practise witchcraft. This is an erroneous assumption! Quite to the contrary, witchcraft operation is present in all the nations of the earth no matter their level of development. Satan is the head of witches and wizards/sorcerers and he has representatives in all the nations of the earth. The Scriptures is replete with examples of those who practised witchcraft in their days, with the atrocities they committed and how believers could render them useless. Witches can be easily recognized by their manifestations, acts, and the havoc they wreck on people's lives. Here are five basic ways to identify them; (1) Whoredom Nahum 3:4 Because of the multitude of the WHOREDOMS OF THE WELLFAVOURED HARLOT, THE MISTRESS OF WITCHCRAFTS, that selleth nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts. The manifestation of witchcraft bear the hallmark of prostitution. A lot of ladies who sleep with men in order to earn a living are witches. More so, the Word of God lends credence to this as quoted from the book of Nahum. Do not think some ladies are foolish for refusing to practise a dignifying profession except prostitution. A lot of them are into prostitution in order to render the stars and glories of men ineffective. By implication, I have heard of men who began to experience retrogression after sleeping with certain prostitutes. These prostitutes do not only destroy great/glorious men but they are also agents of the devil. Once you sleep with them, you open the door for the devil to operate in your life. Nevertheless, it is not all prostitutes that are witches, but a huge chunk of them are witches. Hence, they work for the devil, their master. Therefore, every man should steer-clear of prostitutes. If you really want to fulfill your glorious destiny, avoid prostitutes. Also, if you do not want to give the devil a foothold to work in your life, avoid prostitutes. (2) Bewitchment Acts 8:11 And to him they had regard, because that of long time HE HAD BEWITCHED THEM WITH SORCERIES. Talking about Simon, a well-known sorcerer, the Bible says, he had been bewitching the people of the city for so long. To bewitch means to get control over people by putting SPELL on them. A witch under the influence of witchcraft can compel you to do what you are not supposed to do. I have heard some husbands who had been rendered useless by their wives' magical powers. Besides, those men dare not talk while their wives are talking. Their wives control them. This isn't natural because a man is supposed to be the head of the home according to God's Word. In addition, a sorcerer can have the leadership of a city under his power. In fact, every city has at least a witch/sorcerer who uses his/her power to determine the fate of every city. That is why it is very cumbersome for churches to grow in some areas. Inasmuch as, the Pastor does not believe that witches exist, they will hold his ministry under their power. Gospel is the cure to witchcraft. Let's keep preaching. And every minister of God should know that the devil has agents in every city. So, we must wage war against them in the place of prayer. (3) Boasting Acts 8:9 Now for some time a man named Simon had practiced sorcery in the city and amazed all the people of Samaria. HE BOASTED THAT HE WAS SOMEONE GREAT, On a daily basis, before Simon came to Christ, he would boast of his great power. I believe he must have told them the number of people he could kill if they offended him. Additionally, he must have told of how he had killed and bewitched a lot of people with his witchcraft. He boasted a lot! He bragged about his power like Goliath, who petrified the Israelites for forty days. Simply put, if you see any man boasting of his power. Beware! He might be a sorcerer. Witches are so confident to the extent that they boast of their power, anytime you offend them. Beware! Pray and do not be merciful to them in the place of prayer. (4) False Ministries Acts 13:6 And when they had gone through the isle unto Paphos, they found a certain SORCERER, A FALSE PROPHET, a Jew, whose name is Barjesus: Barjesus, a sorcerer is introduced here as a false prophets. That means he was doing almost what a true prophet could do. But he was doing those things through witchcraft. Surprisingly, there are agents of the devil masquerading as founders of some Christian ministries. Insidiously, there are churches whose prophets practise shamanism in order to prophesy and wrought miracles. Be careful before you join any ministry. Pray and be sensitize to the leading of the Holy Spirit before you join a ministry. (5) Sacrificing Their Children Deut. 18:10 There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or A WITCH. At some points, witches are compelled by their superiors to sacrifice their children so as to attain higher rank. Manasseh, the king of Judah practised witchcraft. Thus, he made his son to pass through fire (2 Chron. 33:6). Every Christian should pray against this. May witches never use you to fulfill their sacrifice. Although, this practice is latent but it is one of the ways through witches can be recognized. Thanks for reading and I believe that you have been blessed. Please, pray for me and leave a comment after reading. Source: http://www.tundekorede.com/5-ways-to-identify-witches-and-sorcerers-part-1/ |
