My major turn off is a lack of confidence. I never knew a man finds confidence in females attractive, I guess aging played a part. A lot of pretty females lack confidence. It’s very apparent in the way they speak. No matter how pretty you look, if you cannot hold eye contact or whimper continuously like a scolded dog when we discuss, I will look elsewhere or toast another babe right in your presence.

There are deodorants you can use to lessen the odour. Besides, be neat and clean. Always cut off your pubic hairs if they have grown.

Do not forget to take your bath twice in a day. If you have issues with mouth odour. Please, go and see a dentist.

The truth is, some men may not tell you why they left you. Some of them may not tell you why they broke up with you.

But I am telling you right now to check yourself. Ask your close friends, if the odour that comes out of your body is unbearable. Don’t be too shy. Apply deodorant and be clean.

In short, bad odour turns men off.


• Pride

This is inability to accept who you are. It is also the feeling that you are important than other people. A proud person is a conceited person. A proud lady can easily disrespect any man at anytime.

She talks anyhow to her man. He doesn’t relate to men that are not wealthy. And if he does, she boasts that she’s more wealthy than those guys.

Pride also turns men off. Because men naturally detest ladies who are not calm and humble. They believe they are the head. So, all ladies must be submissive and humble.

If you want a healthy relationship, try to be humble. As a lady, forget about all that you have acquired. Humility is the key to the heart of every man. While pride brings fall and broken relationships.

Many people have described death as an intruder. They believe that it is impossible for one to know when one will die. Thus, they are powerless over it as they have been griped by its fear.

Nevertheless, it is imperative for me to remind you that believers don’t die. But believers sleep in the Lord. What unbelievers refer to as death is what is known in Christendom as “Transition to Glory.”

When Apostle Paul talked about those who have died, he said as I quote;

1 Thessalonians 4:13
[13]But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which ARE ASLEEP, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.

So, he referred to them as those who were asleep. The reason is that, we shall reign with our Lord Jesus in heaven. Bear in mind that I may use these words interchangeably in this article.

Four Things That Reduce Your Age

The pertinent question to ask now is; Can God tell you how and when you will die? Several times, I have been asked this question. And I am writing this article to answer this question.

Now, let’s consider the examples in the scriptures. There are some men who were aware when they were about to go home to be with the Lord.

Let’s see;

• Aaron
Numbers 20:23-26
[23]And the LORD spake unto Moses and Aaron in mount Hor, by the coast of the land of Edom, saying,
[24]Aaron shall be gathered unto his people: for he shall not enter into the land which I have given unto the children of Israel, because ye rebelled against my word at the water of Meribah.
[25]Take Aaron and Eleazar his son, and bring them up unto mount Hor:
[26]And strip Aaron of his garments, and put them upon Eleazar his son: and AARON SHALL BE GATHERED UNTO HIS PEOPLE, AND SHALL DIE THERE.

Here, God spoke to Moses as regards where Aaron, his brother, would die. He told Aaron who would die at Mount Hor. And it came to pass as God said unto Moses.

As we saw it in the above Scriptures, God can tell someone of the imminence of his death. It all depends on our closeness to Him.

Again, God told Moses where he would die. It was not a matter of secrecy. This refutes the belief that says death is an intruder. If you walk with the Lord, God may tell you when you will fall asleep.

Don’t forget that God did not only tell Moses when he would die. But he told him where he would die. So, it’s possible for God to tell you when and where you will fall asleep.

In The New Testament
• Peter
John 21:18

[18]Verily, verily, I say unto thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst whither thou wouldest: but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and carry thee whither thou wouldest not.
John 21:19
[19]This spake he, signifying by what death he should glorify God. And when he had spoken this, he saith unto him, Follow me.
Jesus narrated how Peter would fall asleep (die). He told him he was going to die as a old man.

More so, we see here that, it is possible for God to tell you how you will die. Do not mystify everything about death. Death is not really an intruder over believers.

• Simeon
Luke 2:25-26,29
[25]And, behold, there was a man in Jerusalem, whose name was Simeon; and the same man was just and devout, waiting for the consolation of Israel: and the Holy Ghost was upon him.

[26]And it was revealed unto him by the Holy Ghost, THAT HE SHOULD NOT SEE DEATH, BEFORE HE HAD SEEN THE LORD’S CHRIST.
[29]Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word:
It was the Holy Ghost who revealed to Simeon that he would not die until he had seen Christ. Again, God may not specifically tell you the age at which you will die. But He can tell you when and how you will die.

See, God doesn’t work with age. He works with time and season. His duty is to communicate to you in reference to time and season.

The Bible says that in the mouth of two or three witnesses shall the truth be established. I have shown you five men in the scriptures who were aware of their time of death.

• Walk With God
All the men I have written about here that God communicated their time of death to them walked with God. Don’t just fool yourself. God cannot just freely tell you the time you will fall asleep. You are to develop quality relationship with God.

As a matter of fact, many of them did not ask God about their time of death. It was God who willingly told them while they were spending their tine in His presence.

Walk with God and He will reveal secrets unto you. There are some secrets that God will never reveal to a baby Christians.

Normally, God reveals His intentions to those who spend more time in His presence. Those who spend quality time have a lot to enjoy from God. Your duty is to walk with God.

• It Is Not Enough To Work For God
As good as it is to serve the Lord. Service to God cannot replace the place of fellowship.

For instance, Martha was bothered about many things when Jesus came to their house. She wanted to take good care of Jesus. So, she began to go up and down just for everything to be fine.

Mary sat at the feet of Jesus listening to His teachings. Yet, Jesus commended Mary who listened to him (Luke 10:41-42). This shows that God loves it when people spend time in His presence. Don’t let service replace its presence in your life.

Also, it is when you spend time with you that He will reveal Himself to you.

Six Wrong Reasons For Attending Church

• Live A Good Life
Believers are to live a good life irrespective the situations and circumstances that surround them. God may not show you when you will go home to be with Him.

But live a life that guarantees heaven. Whether God shows you things concerning your death or not. Just live a life that will not affect your eternity.

• Know That Jesus Holds The Key To Death
Before, the devil was able torment and batter lives. He could kill whoever he wanted to kill. He had access to lives.

Satan had the power and authority to kill, steal and destroy lives (John 10:10).

When the devil was tempting Jesus. This was what he said to let you know that the devil had power in the past.

Luke 4:6
[6]And the devil said unto him, All this POWER WILL I GIVE THEE, and the GLORY of them: for that is DELIVERED UNTO ME; and to whomsoever I will I give it.

Honestly, this verse shows that the devil really had the power he wanted to give unto Jesus. And he got the power through the high treason Adam committed.

Good News
Hence, the good news is that after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Jesus took the keys of death and hades from the devil.

Revelation 1:18

[18]I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the KEYS of HELL and of DEATH.
Nobody should scare you with death because Jesus is using those keys in your favour. Satan does not have power over those who have fully given their lives to Christ.

By redemption we have received emancipation from the grip of sudden death. Death is no more and intruder. Jesus cannot use that key of death against you. Your life is secure in the hands of Jesus.

• Fear Not!
We are seated with Christ in heavenly places far above principalities and powers. Be excited! If you have had a dream where you saw your coffin. Fear not!

Rebuke that dream. Believe and the Lord and pray to God. Although, Jesus died early, but He had finished everything His father sent Him before he died.

As a matter of fact, He knew when he wanted to fall asleep (die). Nobody killed him. He had to say “Father, unto you I commit my spirit.” And He gave up.

Luke 23:46
[46]And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost.

My friend, this was not a sudden death. Thus, death was not an intruder. It came when the person (Jesus) was aware. So, you can know the time of your death. Just train your spirit man and walk with God.

• Your walk with God, determines the extent which God will reveal Himself to you.

• There is nothing like; “Death is an intruder,” for a believer. We have been given power over it. We have dominion over it because our saviour holds the key to it.

Conscience is a person’s moral sense of right and wrong viewed as a guide to one’s behaviour. It is a vigilant eye that holds up imagination and acts for censure or approval.

Your conscience is your God-ordained policeman. Therefore, it is sinful for you to willfully act against it.

God has given every living soul conscience. There is nobody that does not have it. This has nothing to do with salvation.

I don’t care if you have given your life to Christ or not. The crux of the matter is that; you have a conscience that you must obey. It is given to you by God to enable you live a morally upright life.

If you know the five types of conscience that we have, you will understand why some people are heartless.

• Good Conscience

This is the natural conscience that God has given to every man to serve as everyone’s guide. In the beginning, everything the Lord created was good.

Having a good conscience requires a lot of hard work and determination. Because you will be tempted to tell lies, cheat on your spouse and deny your guide several times.


Train it
Because it can be trained to be good, weak, defiled or dead. The best one to have is good. If your conscience is good, you will be able to do the right thing.

Even, whenever you do anything bad, it will quickly correct you. One can make his God ordained policeman to be dead due to one’s disobedience to its voice.

A good one will enable you live to please God. If you dogmatically obey your conscience, you won’t need professional counsellors to tell you what you need to do. Just obey your conscience.

Again, it is that voice that usually warns you whenever you want to steal. It is that voice that tells you to seek the good of others all the time.

Furthermore, it is that good voice that tells you to tell the truth all the time. It is that voice that convicts you whenever you lie. Every human being has this voice within them and if we all obey it, we will have a better world.

[12]But when ye sin so against the brethren, and wound their WEAK CONSCIENCE, ye sin against Christ.

This kind of conscience is vulnerable to environmental pressure as it is susceptible to change. Anyone who has this type can be easily influenced.

More so, that person may be a very strong Christian with a strong Christian foundation. But can be easily influenced by the new set of people he is lives it.

In his new environment, if they steal people’s belongings. He/she can also join them as he will see nothing wrong in stealing.

So, any Christian who has weak conscience is a person of weak faith. Because he has made his conscience to be fragile. That is why you need to be careful of whom you choose as friends.

Environmental Pressure
Environmental influence or pressure can make a conscience weak. For instance, you know bribery is sinful. But you work in an establishment where bribery is the other of the day.

Believe me, you could be forced to assume that bribery is not sinful because some of your bosses are involved.

Additionally, there is hardly no evil thing someone like this cannot do. Because he/she has trained his God-ordained policeman to accept evil as a lifestyle

Without mincing words, this is why some politicians can kill people and they will never feel guilty. This is why some people are heartless and inhumane.

The best gift one can give to his God-ordained policeman is to obey its leading. Because it cannot lead you to do the wrong thing. Whenever your (God-ordained policeman) corrects you. Please, listen and change.

If you refuse to listen to its leading, you will end up having an evil conscience.


• Dead One
1 Timothy 4:2
[2]Speaking lies in hypocrisy; HAVING THEIR CONSCIENCE SEARED WITH A HOT IRON;

Practically, when you place a hot on a hour body part for too long. It can kill the cells of your body. This will make it unresponsive to outside world.

Similarly, when you sear your conscience with hot iron. You have killed its functionality. It will be unable to work as expected.

In other words, when something is dead, it means that thing is no more working again. God has given you a natural guide in life that will make you do the right thing in life.

Never allow selfishness and wrongdoing to kill it.

Again, never collect money to do a destructive, malicious and detrimental job. Do not do a work that will tarnish the reputation of others.

Put people in mind as you go about acquiring wealth. Let humanity be first in your heart and let money be secondary.

Who is your friend? Anybody who is close to you is your friend. It could be your neighbor, aunt, mother, uncle, father or classmate. Never betray the love they have in you because of money.

I know they have kept some money in your hand. Please, don’t disappoint the person who have trusted you to that extent. Don’t squander his money. Don’t run away from him/her.

Listen, never take your friend’s wife because you are now wealthy. Never betray your husband. Stay faithful.

If you betray anyone because of money. You will regret at the end. It pays to be faithful. Don’t allow money to make you do unlawful things.

It is unethically becoming prevalent these days for people to impersonate famous people because of money.

Dear lawyer, don’t receive bribes that will make you pervert judgement. Dear pastor, do not allow money to block your vision.

Make sure you are not taking a wrong decision against your fellow because of money. Do not be led by money because money has a voice. Allow only the Spirit of the Lord to lead you.

• Never Marry Someone Because Of Money

Interestingly, I have heard of a sister who married a brother because the man was wealthy. At the end, the man turned her to a punching bag.

When it comes to marriage, decisions must be taken as directed but the Holy Spirit. You are not to take fleshy decisions.

You will definitely leave a man you marry because of riches when money is no more.

Although, Nabal was wealthy but he was mean and ungodly. Abigeal married a wealthy man but both of them didn’t enjoy their marriage.

1 Samuel 25:3
[3]Now the name of the man was Nabal; and the name of his wife Abigail: and she was a woman of good understanding, and of a beautiful countenance: but the man was churlish and evil in his doings; and he was of the house of Caleb.

In like manner, if you marry a man because he is wealthy. It does not guarantee a blissful marriage. Money is not all you need to sustain your marriage. Money is needed, but don’t let that be a principal bait for your marriage.

Hagar, Abram maidservant, got pregnant and she began to despise Sarai (the wife of Abram). Although, Hagar was at fault but she failed to apologize on time. At last, she was sent out of Abram’s house.

However, the angel commanded Hagar to go back and submit to Sarai, her mistress. This shows that God loves it when people are submissive to authorities.

Dear friend, you are conceited if you fail to apologize to people. If you are too big to say sorry, you are a proud person.



• Unwillingness To Take Corrections
Exodus 18:17,19,24
[17]And Moses’ father in law said unto him, The thing that thou doest is not good.
[19]Hearken now unto my voice, I will give thee counsel, and God shall be with thee: Be thou for the people to God-ward, that thou mayest bring the causes unto God:
[24]So Moses hearkened to the voice of his father in law, and did all that he had said.

Moses was advised by his father-in-law and he listened to him. Moses didn’t reject his counsel because he was a Prophet who spoke mouth to mouth with God.

He was not pompous. The Bible described him as the meekest on the earth, then.

Although, Moses was a prophet and was powerfully anointed, he did not refuse to take godly corrections.

See, if you are too big to allow people to correct you. You are too proud. If you easily flare up when elderly people correct you. Be careful! Watch it and change.

Be flexible because it is too costly for one to be too rigid.

Daniel advised Nebuchadnezzar to change his ways and acknowledge God’s existence but he refused (Dan 4:25,27). What was his outcome? He became someone who lived like an animal.

Then, Nebuchadnezzar was too big to take corrections. So, he had himself to blame at the end.



• Total Dependency On One’s Strength
1 Samuel 2:9
[9]…for by strength shall no man prevail.

Denial of God’s power is another proof of pride. All the atheists of this world are proud. How on earth will you say there is no God?

Hear this, when you deny God’s power and rely solely on your strength, you will fail. And you do not need anyone to tell you that you are pompous.

In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your path (Prov 3:6). David did this so many times. Before David went to war, he would ask for God’s direction.

He did this many times and I think that is one of the reasons why he never lost any battle. Read 1 Samuel 30:8 to 16, you will understand my point better.

Basically, God deserves to receive all the glory and honor. We must not praise ourselves.

Although, we might have worked to acquire all the things we have acquired. But glory must be given to God.

Get this right, Herod was not eaten up by worms because they eulogized him. But he was dealt with because he did not return glory unto God.

People may praise you and eulogize you for a job well done. But, don’t let it get into your head and forget to return glory to God. As people praise you for your usual wisdom, return glory to God.

Here is my point; it is unfair to blame the female for being a victim of rape. It is true that some ladies dress indecently. But that shouldn’t be a reason to forcefully have sex with someone.

Every day, I walk on the street and I see people who dress indecently. Does that mean I should be raping every woman who dresses indecently? No!

Additionally, I have heard of cases where some women raped the men. But it is not as prevalent as that of the women.

In other words, those who rape the opposite sex are those who have problem with their sexuality. The rapist is the first cause of rape and not the victim.

Before You Blame A Victim
Whenever a victim of rape is seen. Don’t be quick to blame the victim. But perceive the rapist as the first cause of that act.

A person who has problem with his sexuality is the one who assault people sexually. I don’t care if he is a Pastor, Bishop or a lecturer.

No normal person in his/her right state of mind will forcefully have sex with someone.

Or will you say a 7-year old girl that got raped by a 40-year old man deserves to be blamed? Will you say it was the little child’s fault?

Besides, what does that little child know? Can a normal and mentally stable 40-year old man rape a little girl?

Let’s stop defending a rapist. Although, they may contribute little to the act. But the total blame should be on the rapist. It is either the rapist is mentally deranged or has sexuality issues.

As we have read it, Mosaic law put the blame on the rapist than the victim. Here, we can infer that the first cause of rape is the rapist.

Maybe she never thought his brother could rape him.

And this is why some people have been victimized today. They couldn’t just believe their pastors could sexually assault them and they were assaulted. Trust no man.

You won’t find it anywhere in the Bible where God said we should trust in man. He said we should trust in Him. But he reiterated in His word never to trust in any man.

Expressly, in Jeremiah 17:5 God went as far as cursing anyone who trust in any man.

In Today’s World
Many people have been sexually assaulted because of the total trust they have in people.

Some ladies unduly goes out with the elderly ones whom they feel they will never rape them. But these people end up raping them.

Also, some men of God have raped many of their female members and they still threaten them not to speak out.

Why? Some women have forgotten that pastors are mortal not immortal. So, they are not immune to sin.

More so, there was no notable technological advancement at that time. So, drugs weren’t produced. People had to make use of the wine gotten through herbs.

This verse does not imply that you should turn yourself into a drunkard. It implies the intake of necessary antidote to sickness.

Hezekiah’s Healing
Before Hezekiah got healed from an illness that almost claimed his life. He prayed unto God.

[21]For Isaiah had said, Let them take a lump of figs, and lay it for a plaister upon the boil, and he shall recover.

Yet, God did not heal him directly. Prophet Isaiah had to tell him to take a lump of figs and apply it upon the boil. Was God not capable to heal Isaiah instantly without him applying any figs? No, He is capable.

God was trying to teach us a lesson there. At times, God may decide to heal you through the use medicine. God is still in control. But just make sure you have prayed to Him. Then, He knows how to heal you.

Frankly, He may miraculously heal your friends without the intake of medicine. While, you may need to receive medical attention before you get healed.

However, your responsibility is not to choose the way you want God to heal you. Your responsibility is to pray for God’s healing.

Summarily, people die in sickness due to ignorance. Ignorance is like darkness. Wherever darkness is, there are obstructions.

Also, I have heard of people who changed their belief in God. Once they prayed and their sick friend did not get healed. So, they ended up consulting witchdoctors for healing.

Wait Upon The Lord
Dear friend, healing is from the Lord. Nobody has the power of life and death except Jesus. There is no sickness too chronic for God to heal. And there is no sickness too mild for God to heal.

No matter the situations and circumstances. Hold on to God! He will surely deliver you. Do no seek other gods. They may do abracadabra or use some esoteric powers to deceive you. Do not give in to them.

Failure to seek the face of God in the time of trouble may bring sudden death. He is the giver of life and the sustainer of life. Believe! He will heal you.

Hardly can they call upon God because they feel they are professionally trained to heal sicknesses.

My friend, nobody gets healed this way. Our God is a jealous God. I am not saying that you should not see your doctor. But let God be first even before you see your doctor.

Definitely, God is the father of all doctors. Don’t be like Asa who never sought God in his illness. And he died prematurely. He would have lived long if he had sought the face of God like how Hezekiah did.

Most importantly, people die in sickness because they put more trust in medical practitioners than God. Let God hear you always. Don’t be too arrogant. Professionalism does not guarantee healing. Only God heals.

Basically, God deserves to receive all the glory and honor. We must not praise ourselves.

Although, we might have worked to acquire all the things we have acquired. But glory must be given to God.

King Herod gave a speech and was praised for that mighty speech. Instead of Herod to give glory to God, he received everything and got elated. Herod was eaten up by worms for doing this.

Read this;
Get this right, Herod was not eaten up by worms because they eulogized him. But he was dealt with because he did not return glory unto God.

People may praise you and eulogize you for a job well done. But, don’t let it get into your head and forget to return glory to God. As people praise you for your usual wisdom, return glory to God.

Whereas, if you are the one who doesn’t give glory to God, you are proud.

Frankly, when you see a man who continually brags about his success story. You have just found a proud man. The Bible says, you should allow others to praise you.

Truly, don’t let foolish talk be found in your lips. Stop showboating your property and the things you have acquired. Stop talking about it. Do not be engrossed with its thought.

Try as much as possible not to talk like this foolish rich man. Because people who talk like this cannot live long.

Nattanael concluded within himself that nothing good can come out of Nazareth. Why would you say that? Are you God?

Most of the time, we say things that can make people commit suicide. At times, we underestimate people who are not wealthy. We think they will never make it in life. This is an expression of pride.

See, if Naaman had underated that little slave girl that advised him. He wouldn’t have been healed.

Be humble, because it was Mordecai, an ordinary gatekeeper who rescued King Xerxes life. No matter how small a person is, value him.

Anybody can help you, don’t be too proud to underestimate those who are less-privileged.

Many Christians fall sick more often than not. Truly, they believe that; “he himself took our infirmities and bore our sicknesses.” – Matthew 8:17.

Right now as you are reading this, there are some Christians who are on drugs. They have been placed on drugs due to one illness or the other.

More so, if they try to get off drugs, there will be trouble. Some cannot live a day without taking medicine. Even after competing their treatment, another health issue will spring up.

Sadly, many are living like this and they have come to a conclusion that Matthew 8:17is false.

Whereas, they are oblivious of some causes of sickness. When we know the root, we will know how to attack. Knowing the causes of sickness will enable us to get rid of any sickness in our body.

5 Reasons Why Christians Fall Sick Often
• Evil Spirit
Luke 13:11
[11]:and a woman was there who had been CRIPPLED BY A SPIRIT FOR EIGHTEEN YEARS. She was bent over and could not straighten up at all.

In this verse, One woman became crippled because of the presence of an evil spirit in her. That evil spirit made her to become someone who could not straighten up at all.

However, persistent sickness is a proof of the presence of an evil spirit. Do you know that there are some diseases which cannot be detected through any micro fluidic bioassay devices?

No amount of test you carry out scientifically will not show you the nature of such disease. These diseases are caused by evil spirit.

Dear friend, don’t allow anyone to deceive you that evil spirit doesn’t exist. They are agents of the devil that inflict diseases upon unbelievers.

Also, they inflict diseases upon believers whose Christian foundations are shaky. We can find several instances of how Jesus healed some sicknesses.

At times, He would just rebuke the spirit behind the sickness and the person would be healed.

Healing Anointing Is Mysterious

He said to that deaf and dumb that;

[25]…Thou dumb and deaf spirit, I charge thee, come out of him, and enter no more into him.

So, Jesus was not ignorant of the fact that an evil spirit might be behind someone’s sickness. Again, don’t be ignorant. Rebuke the spirit behind that sickness you are having.

Rebuke the spirit behind that persistent disease and you will be free.

• Poor Food Consumption
Leviticus 11:8
[8]Of their flesh shall ye not eat, and their carcase shall ye not touch; they are unclean to you.

Basically, some Christians think that they will automatically enjoy divine health no matter what they eat. Some of them would keep confessing scriptures upon scriptures while they consume food ignorantly and nonchalantly.

God had to tell the Israelites not to eat certain flesh and not to touch their carcasses. Matthew Henry Commentary Bible explained Leviticus 11:1-8 as thus;

“God in this law did by them. But as a wise and loving father does by His children. He restrains from eating that which He knows will make them sick.”

According to some Bible scholars, God refrains them from eating certain meat so as not to become sick.

Normally, in a whole year, I might have malaria once and get over it within three days. But in 2019, around April to June my body system had not been fine. I would nurse one sickness today and nurse another one tomorrow.

Little did I know that I was the one causing all those sicknesses. My liberty came when Tobi Olabajo, my friend, posted a screenshot on his WhatsApp status. It was a book that he had read. The writer expatiated the principles of living a healthy life and other life’s principles.

So, I told him to tell me the title of the book. He told me and I got the book online and read it. After reading the book, I knew that what we eat could easily affect our health either positively or negatively.

Indeed, ignorance is a plague. Ignorant people have a lot to lose while wise men who are committed to learning have a lot to gain.

Additionally, be mindful of how you combine food. Eating starchy food and protein together is harmful. It’s a law in Chemistry. Digestion of protein and starchy food cannot take place at the same time.

Digestion is impaired and arrested when protein and a starch are eaten together. It creates excess acid and thereby robs you of energy. More so, it may lead to diarrhoea. Stop eating bread and beans together. Don’t eat rice and beans together.

Most importantly, eat water-rich foods because 80℅ of your body is made up of water. It aids smooth digestion. Fruits contain high level of water. So, consume more fruits.

And don’t eat fruits on filled or occupied stomach. If you do so, you will burp the over taste of that fruit throughout the day. Also, it is poisonous to your body. Eat fruits on an empty stomach. Eat fruits before having your meal.

Nevertheless, I cannot tell you everything I learnt here. Get the book and read. May the Lord bless Tobi Olabajo for recommending that book for me.

Bear this in mind that; poor food consumption causes sickness. Be mindful of what you eat. Don’t just eat junks, eat good food. And make sure you eat fruits before having your meal.

Let me be frank with you here, sin causes sickness. After Jesus healed the invalid man who had been at the pool of Bethsaida for thirty-eight years. He told him not to sin anymore so as not to attract a more severe problem.

This gives us a clue that sin can lead to diseases and illnesses.

For example, a woman can contract HIV/AIDS if she’s unfaithful in her marriage. Such woman may have sex with multiple partners. We all know that God frowns on infidelity and unfaithfulness.

Therefore, a sin of unfaithfulness can lead to sickness. Avoid any form of sin that can bring illnesses upon your life. This could be the reason why you’ve been having series of sicknesses.

Sickness Is A Product Of Sin
When one paralytic man was brought before Jesus. Jesus firstly said his sins had been forgiven before commanding him to pick up his bed and walk. So, the man was healed instantly.

[5]When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, SON, THY SINS BE FORGIVEN THEE.
[12]And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion.

Can you see the connection between sin and sickness? Sickness will easily have access to whoever is sinful. Avoid it.

Here, God commanded the Israelites to have a place where they could defecate — a toilet. It was meant to be a separate place. And the place should be outside the camp. This is pure teaching on cleanliness.

Even God loves cleanliness. Also, you need to emulate this trait from God. The reason why many fall sick often is because they are too dirty.

Beloved, the place of personal cleanliness cannot be overemphasized. Some people leave their hair unkempt and they will not also have their bath regularly.

Fact: It is absolutely known that germs easily grow in unclean bodies and cause illnesses. The number of germs can easily increase to 17 million in just 8 hours.

Parasites, worms, scabies, sores, tooth decay, diarrhoea and dysentery are caused due to lack of personal hygiene. My friend, take care of your body and be clean.

Biblically, after God worked for six days, he rested on the seventh day. He did this by laying down an example for us to follow.

Beloved, rest so that you won’t be laid to rest. Whenever your body deserves rest, please, give it to your body.

• Be aware that evil spirit can cause sicknesses. There are some diseases which cannot be detected by the scientists. Most of them are caused by evil spirits.

• Consume good food. Don’t just eat anything you see. Eat balanced diet and avoid eating junks. One may have Diarrhoea if he combines food wrongly.

• Rest whenever your body requires it. Sin no more, accept Jesus as your Lord and saviour. Maintain personal hygiene and stay free from sickness.

Betting is the action of gambling money on the outcome of a race, game, or other unpredictable event. Gambling or betting provides the temptation of quick and easy riches.

Intermittently, our societies abound with temptations that endear even Christians to join the growing league of gamblers. Moreover, many people do not see anything wrong in betting.

Although, there is nowhere where it is written that; “thou shall not gamble.” But if you are truthful to yourself. You will find out that Biblical principles are against gambling and betting.

However, we shall consider the reasons why you don’t need to gamble or bet as a Christian. This article shall consider the reasons why betting is sinful from biblical perspective.

Wrong Misconceptions About Gambling

Some people use casting of lots in the Bible to rationalize their addictive betting habit.

During the time of Nehemiah as the Governor, people who should live in Jerusalem were chosen by casting lots (Neh 1:11).

Joshua distributed the land by casting lots in Shiloh in the presence of the Lord (Joshua 18:10). Also, the Apostles cast lots to determine whether to select Matthias or Barsabbas to replace Judas (Acts :23-26).

But why is it sinful for me to gamble? Besides, the Bible says;

Proverbs 16:33
[33]The lot is cast into the lap; but the whole disposing thereof is of the LORD.

Since the outcome of the lot comes from the Lord. Why is betting and gambling sinful?

Note this, the Israelites were instructed by God to cast lots to distribute lands (Numbers 26:55). More so, it was a normal practice for them to cast lots in Isreal to determine certain issues. Read 1 Chronicles 24:5, 31.


Important points
The people who cast lot in the Bible didn’t do so to get more money. They never did it with the expectation of getting quick riches.

Hence, we cannot possibly equate betting or gambling with casting of lots in the Bible. They are different. What the Bible is against is acquisition of wealth in an unjust and speedy manner.

Lots are cast to determine certain decisions not to make money.
Get rid of that misconception. Betting or gambling to acquire more money is sinful. It violates God’s principles of wealth acquisition.

Here, what the verse means is this; whoever is hasty to get wealth is not innocent/sinless. In other words, making money in a very quick and easy way is sinful.

No wonder our generation is driven by money. Many of our youths are engrossed with the thought of becoming like Dangote/Otedola or Trump in one day.

Dear friend, if you really want to make good money.

Sustainable wealth is not made by betting. No matter what you think, you can build an enduring and sustainable wealth through gambling.


• Gambling Leads To Addiction
Ecclesiastes 5:10
[10]HE THAT LOVETH SILVER SHALL NOT BE SATISFIED WITH SILVER; nor he that loveth abundance with increase: this is also vanity.

Although, there is nothing one cannot be addicted to. One can be addicted to porn, football, books or phones.

Meanwhile, people can also be addicted to gambling. There are people who can use their spouse to bet. And there are those who can use their newly-bought car to bet.

For instance, you may start your betting journey with #200 and end up betting a huge amount of money.

Frankly, that’s why you cannot leave your money in the hands of some people. Because if you do, they will use your money to bet.

Once again, it a proof of covetousness and greediness. Your life does not consist in the abundant of things that you have.

God’s Word says, if anyone would not work, s/he doesn’t deserve to eat. That’s the principle. Those who work should be the one to eat.

Sadly, you can possibly eat and have more money without working if you’re a gambler. And this contradicts the Word of God.

Again, betting promotes laziness. Today, there are some youths who will sleep all day and walk about aimlessly. Why? Because they are sure that they will definitely win.

Let’s work! Say no to gambling! Don’t twist the Word of God because of your circumstances.

I know the Nigerian government is not employing some of our graduates. But we should not disobey God’s Word because of our situations and circumstances. Pray to God for help and start doing something.

We do things with different motives. It may be with good or ulterior motive. While some people go to church purposely to pray and hear God’s Word. Some people attend Church with unscriptural reasons.

In this article, I will highlight various wrong reasons why people attend church. And I’m believing God that they will change after reading this piece.


Also, every minister of the gospel must bear in mind that as they stand on the pulpit to minister.

It is not everyone that has come to receive blessings from the Lord. People come to God’s gathering for different reasons.

This article is written due to my few years of practical involvement in pastoral work. Being a young pastor, I have experienced a lot of things as regards Church members.

You may find it hard to believe this; Do you know there are some members who will come to your fellowship just to make you happy as a pastor?

Maybe you’ve been inviting them for a long time. So, they will just decide within themselves and say that; “Let me make this man happy today by attending Church.”

Honestly, this is not supposed to be. There are better reasons for coming to God’s Presence.

This and many other reasons are highlighted below.


THE REASONS ARE LISTED BELOW:

• In Church To Attack The Minister Of God

Matthew 26:21
[21]And as they did eat, he said, Verily I say unto you, that one of you shall betray me.

Among the disciples, Judas was there seeking an opportunity to hand Jesus over to the Chief Priest ( Matthew 26:16).

So, there are people who attend meetings basically to harm the man of God spiritually or physically. There are still more Judases in Church of Christ today.

Bear in mind that there are agents of darkness seeking every means
to harm you as you minister.

These people will pretend as if they are there to help the ministry whereas, they have come to wound the pastor and wreck his ministry.

They will attend virtually all the church programmes, pretending to be fervent but they have hidden agenda they want to execute.

May they not have their way into your life in Jesus name.

Acts 8:18
[18]And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles’ hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money.

Simon the sorcerer attended the meeting where Apostle Peter ministered.

But he had one thought in mind. He wanted to buy God’s power that God had given Peter.

In other words, we can infer that he attended that meeting for connection into the place of power in a wrong way.

Truthfully, some people go to church in order to get connected to people in high position.

They want those people to see them. These people hardly listen to sermon and they are less concerned about ministrations.

There are still more people today who attend your meetings in order to see one billionaire who will help them get a job. This reason is not right.

• Only To Overcome Challenges
They are inconsistent. Hardly can they join any group in Church. They are not committed in any way. As they will only show up only when things have gone wrong in their lives.

Believers like this see Church as a place one need to attend in the time of trouble.

For instance, If they are in need of money and you give them money. They won’t come to the place of worship again until they exhaust that money. Are you not like these people?

Why You Still Need To Attend A Church

Some people see the church as a hospital. These kind of people come to church only when they have been battered by the devil.

And they stop coming once they receive healing. They hardly go to church when they are strong and okay.

The Bible says concerning the early Church that;

Acts 2:46
[46]And they, continuing DAILY with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, did eat their meat with gladness and singleness of heart,

They came together daily. Not once in a while but daily. That is how a good Christian should attend a believers meeting. Be consistent.


• Attending Church Just Because Of The Pastor
Acts 13:42
[42]And when the Jews were gone out of the synagogue, the Gentiles besought that these words might be preached to them the next sabbath.

Acts 13:44
[44]And the next sabbath day came almost the whole city together to hear the word of God.

After Paul preached in Pisidian Antioch. The people got fascinated with what they heard and wanted to hear more.

More so, in the next Sabbath, the whole city gathered to hear Paul. This had never been recorded before Paul preached there. That the whole city gathered to hear one man.

However, we can say, those people came out massively to hear God’s Word from the mouth of Paul.

Some come to church because they love the way the pastor preaches and virtually everything the pastor does.

They always anticipate the time
the pastor will mount the pulpit and preach. However, this kind of
people leave the church once the pastor they love has been transferred.

It is not advisable for you to attend a Church because of a particular Pastor because once he fails into sin. You will be discouraged.

History Of The Church

• To Showcase New Clothes[/]
1 Timothy 2:9
[9]In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

Some people come to church in order to showcase the new dresses/clothes they have just bought.

They want people to see that they are also beautiful and good looking.

These people only attend church once in a while when they have new dress to show to people in church.

Church is not a Fashion Parade Show. You are in Church to meet with the Lord not man.

[b]• To Charge
This happens wherever there is poor power supply, especially in Nigeria.

Sadly, some people go to church because they want to charge their gadgets.

You will not see them around when their phones are fully charged but they will suddenly show up in church whenever they have flat batteries.

These people would focus their
attention on the phones they are charging, they are less concerned with the message the pastor is preaching.

Good Heart
• To Serve God
There are believers who come to church basically to serve the Lord and to genuinely contribute to the progress of the ministry.

They see the ministry as own their life. The can do almost everything to see that God’s work is progressive.

They don’t come because of a specific man/woman of God. Their aim is to genuinely fund and support the ministry.

May you not lack such people in your ministry.

May the Lord change the heart of people in order to attend church
with right reasons.

• Understand That You Are Powerless Without Him

Then Asa called to the Lord his God and said, “Lord, there is no one like you to HELP THE POWERLESS AGAINST the mighty. Help us, Lord our God, for we rely on you, and in your name we have come against this vast army. Lord, you are our God; do not let mere mortals prevail against you.”

Zerah the Cushite marched out against Judah. Asa saw himself as powerless without God and that was why he sought God’s help. He knew Him as someone who specializes in helping the powerless.

Until you come to this point; you won’t even seek God’s help let alone securing His help.

Pride has made many to lose many battles in life. They see themselves as powerful people who can possibly win every battle without God’s involvement.

You cannot secure His help by being pompous, calculative and self sufficient. If you feel you don’t need God. Then, He cannot help you because God is not a meddler. He will only intervene in an affair you have called Him to intervene.

After ASA sought God’s help. The Almighty took it upon Himself to personally deal with the Cushites (2 Chronicles 14:12). That will also be your testimony if you can be truthful enough to see your powerlessness without Him.

So, cry out to Him. There is no battle that is too small for God to handle. And there is no battle that is too great for God to handle. Pray unto Him. He is committed to helping people.

However, God does not automatically help people. He helps those who cry out to Him.

Many believers think that the only thing they need to do to secure God’s help is to pray.

Whereas, prayer only cannot secure His help. Until you begin to praise Him despite your challenges, He might not help you.

Let’s always endeavour to give quality praise to God.

It is impossible for you to sow banana and reap cassava. Also, any life that wants to enjoy God’s help should be helpful to people.

Help other people as well if you want others to help you too.

For example, when Dorcas died prematurely. It was the people she had helped that stood by her till she was raised.

Acts 9:39
[39]Then Peter arose and went with them. When he was come, they brought him into the upper chamber: and all the widows stood by him weeping, and shewing the coats and garments which Dorcas made, while she was with them.

Nevertheless, if Dorcas had helped nobody. Nobody would care about praying for her to come back to life.

Dear friend, it is what you sow that you will reap.

Sow kindness today and allow God to help you. God help Tabitha by allowing her to come back to life after Peter’s prayer.

Ministry is by calling not by one’s ambition or love for it. If you have not been called, you have no reason to go into it. Do not allow poverty push you to start your own denomination.

Selling of anointed materials like handkerchiefs, fruits and water prove their love for sudden wealth.

Also, they come up with various titles of seed that their members should give to the Lord. You will hear seeds like; “Seed of long life,” “Seed of preservation,” Seed of healing,” etc.

Help me ask them if any of the Apostles or Jesus collected any seed like these when they preached.

In short, fake ministers are rampant because of the love of money. They are increasing daily because their belly is their god.

Just like the Scribes and the Pharisees, some people want to be famous. Unarguably, men of God are naturally held in high esteem in most African countries.

So, they quickly start a Church without divine calling and they begin to run it. Quest for honour has driven some people into God’s Work. They want to be famous.

Nevertheless, this is why many of them would stage one miracle and post it on social media. They do this so that their Church can trend online.

It baffles me when I see a young ministers who have very small churches with few members. But they go around with bodyguards.

(I’m not saying having bodyguard as a pastor is totally wrong. I’d write on that soon).

But the issue is, must you always make yourself known to people? Are you a politician or a pastor?

Summarily, fake pastors are increasing daily because they desire to be honoured and famous.

Interestingly, just like the seven sons of Sceva who wanted to imitate want they’ve not been empowered to do. There are some ministers who make their decision based on imitation.

See, they would copy everything that their friends in ministry are doing. Some of them were not taking seeds before but started taking it by imitation.

Dear friend, it is expedient for you to take decision in life and ministry based on your own conviction. Act on what God has told you to act on. Don’t build your own life on another person’s vision and conviction.

Listen, build your life on the Word. Don’t let any ministry turn into a false minister by imitation.

Poverty is unarguably a recipe for rejection. Many people don’t like associating themselves with poor people. It doesn’t matter if that poor person they are rejecting is their blood relation. They will still avoid that poor person.

On the other hand, wealth is like a magnet that attracts all kinds of people to the wealthy person.

Therefore, if people like associating themselves with you. It does not necessarily mean that you are a good person. It may be because of your money which they want to benefit from.

However, do not commit suicide because you are poor. Trust God and align yourself with the principles that secure wealth. And expect God to bless you.

Again, a lady may turn down your proposal because you are poor. Don’t get money in a diabolical means. Work and pray.

Truthfully speaking, you will be rejected and ignored if you are still poor.

Work hard, pray and give to people. And see how people will naturally accept you when God blesses you financially.

Specifically, we can say Jesus died early because He had power over His life. And if you have authority over something, you can use that thing anytime you wish.

By the help of the Holy Spirit, I have discovered reasons why some ministers of the Gospel fall into temptation.

We have heard of a famous Pastor who allegedly raped his member. We have heard of another man of God who was involved in “SexForGrade” scandal too. Issues and reports like these baffle me a lot.



No good Christian should be joyful when issues like these spring up in Christendom. We have to be sober and think of the way out. And that’s the rationale behind this article.

In my local town, I heard of a Pastor who slept with at least four of his female members. Yet, we are always swift to say, “Touch not my Anointed.”

I’m not saying we should disrespect men of God but many of them do not deserve to be respected.

These days, ministers of the Gospel who should represent and practise what they preach are falling. Many have been brainwashed to believe that there are no more true ministers of the Gospel anymore.

However, there are still more faithful preachers. No matter the hullabaloo, allegations and sexual harassment trolling the Body of Christ.

It bothers my heart when I see Pastors who don’t exhibit wisdom in carrying out ministerial works. I know you are serving the Lord but you must be wise.

How can a married Pastor be staying alone counselling a lady in her room? That’s stupidity. Such Pastor is playing with fire that will explode.



On no condition should a man of God counsel a woman alone in a secluded place. The lady might set you up.

Sadly, many of the allegations levelled up against some men of God originated from carelessness on the minister’s side.

Body Contact
Excessive hugging, kissing in the name of the Lord and spending more time with a member can trigger fire. Any Pastor who spends more time with a woman than his wife should be careful.

If you are careless, you may fall into temptation. The devil is highly strategic. So, as you pray, be vigilant and watch. Satan has agents and he specializes in using those who are closed to God’s Anointed.

Apply wisdom as you go about doing God’s work.
