The rampancy of rape in our society is alarming. On a daily basis, we hear about people who got raped on Radio and on Television. We read about it in Newspapers.

I have received messages in my e-mail of people who narrated their experiences as regards this nefarious act.

My intention is to help reduce its occurrence or totally stop it through my writings. So, we are starting off with an article on its causes and how to prevent rape.

Nevertheless, rape is the crime of forcing someone to have sex, especially by using violence.

More so, It is also the act of forcing sexual intercourse upon another person without their consent. Any sexual activity that is not consensual is regarded as rape.

Five Causes Of Rape
• The Rapist Factor
Please, read this passage carefully and pay extra attention on the capitalized words.

Deuteronomy 22:25-27
[25]But if a man find a betrothed damsel in the field, and the man FORCE HER, and LIE WITH HER: then the MAN ONLY that lay with HER SHALL DIE:

[26]But unto the damsel thou shalt do nothing; there is in the damsel no sin worthy of death: for as when a man riseth against his neighbour, and slayeth him, even so is this matter:
[27]For he found her in the field, and the betrothed DAMSEL CRIED, and there was none to save her.
Two things are be to noted here, the man who raped the damsel shall be put to death. And rape is seen as a sin of murder.

According to this passage, the blame was upon the rapist — the man. Because the lady cried out and there was no one to help. So, it was not the fault of such lady.

Causes Of Sexual Violence

Rapists Have Issues
Here is my point; it is unfair to blame the female for being a victim of rape. It is true that some ladies dress indecently. But that shouldn’t be a reason to forcefully have sex with someone.

Every day, I walk on the street and I see people who dress indecently. Does that mean I should be raping every woman who dresses indecently? No!

Additionally, I have heard of cases where some women raped the men. But it is not as prevalent as that of the women.

In other words, those who rape the opposite sex are those who have problem with their sexuality. The rapist is the first cause of rape and not the victim.

Before You Blame A Victim
Whenever a victim of rape is seen. Don’t be quick to blame the victim. But perceive the rapist as the first cause of that act.

A person who has problem with his sexuality is the one who assault people sexually. I don’t care if he is a Pastor, Bishop or a lecturer.

No normal person in his/her right state of mind will forcefully have sex with someone.

Or will you say a 7-year old girl that got raped by a 40-year old man deserves to be blamed? Will you say it was the little child’s fault?

Besides, what does that little child know? Can a normal and mentally stable 40-year old man rape a little girl?

Let’s stop defending a rapist. Although, they may contribute little to the act. But the total blame should be on the rapist. It is either the rapist is mentally deranged or has sexuality issues.

As we have read it, Mosaic law put the blame on the rapist than the victim. Here, we can infer that the first cause of rape is the rapist.

NOTE : The male and the female can be the victim of rape. And I am writing with this view. It is not only the female that are being raped on a daily basis as we read in our Newspapers. Men are also being raped by their female counterpart.

Amnon raped his sister. Though they had the same father but different mothers. We can infer that Tamar got raped because she had more trust in his brother.

If you don’t trust your brother as a female you can’t stay alone with him in a room.

Truly, Amnon pretended! But then, that shouldn’t be a reason for staying with him alone after the men had left.

Flee From The Appearance Of Evil
Read this;

1 Thessalonians 5:22
[22]Abstain from all appearance of evil.

Maybe she never thought his brother could rape him.

And this is why some people have been victimized today. They couldn’t just believe their pastors could sexually assault them and they were assaulted. Trust no man.

You won’t find it anywhere in the Bible where God said we should trust in man. He said we should trust in Him. But he reiterated in His word never to trust in any man.

Expressly, in Jeremiah 17:5 God went as far as cursing anyone who trust in any man.

In Today’s World
Many people have been sexually assaulted because of the total trust they have in people.

Some ladies unduly goes out with the elderly ones whom they feel they will never rape them. But these people end up raping them.

Also, some men of God have raped many of their female members and they still threaten them not to speak out.

Why? Some women have forgotten that pastors are mortal not immortal. So, they are not immune to sin.

Amnon was advised by his friend to pretend in order to rape his sister and he did that.

Candidly, he wouldn’t have thought of that if he had a good friend. His friend who have advised him to tell the King about it. But his friend contributed to his bad behavior.

Leave such person. Why? For you not to be his/her victim or next target to assault sexually.

[10]And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart.

God’s Word talks about the attire of an harlot. In other words, there is a way a sex worker dresses that triggers the thought of sex.

To some extent, indecent dressing contribute to the rampancy of rape. Are you asking me how?

5 Things To Consider Before Dressing

Well, our level of self-control differs. There are some men who cannot control themselves anymore whenever they set their eyes on sexily dressed ladies.

Immediately, the devil in them will be triggered. Indecent dressing is not the main cause of rape but it triggers evil intention.

Play your own part by dressing well. Don’t let your dressing put you into trouble.

Dear friend, don’t say it doesn’t matter. Don’t look sexy. A sexy person is someone who is ready for sex. Beware of those who say you look sexy. Look good and dress decently.

[7]Then David sent home to Tamar, saying, Go now to thy brother Amnon’s house, and dress him meat.

King David should have asked Amnon if he had no cook that would prepare something for him to eat. Though, I’m not blaming him.

Basically, Amnon had men who were serving him as prince. They could cook for him. Why would you want your sister to cook for you? I guess David didn’t think about all these.

Parents should be careful of who they leave their children with. No matter how much you trust those people.

Give your children sex education if they have grown up to that level. Let them identify sensitive parts of their body. Don’t be too busy to take care of your children.

Yes, it’s important to work. But it is of utmost importance to raise godly children whose sexuality have not been damaged.

See, I have been privileged to counsel a lady who have become a nymphomaniac. A nymphomaniac is someone who has been addicted to sex. She became a sex addict because of her early exposure to sex. She was frequently raped when she was at a very tender age.


How To Prevent Rape
• Work on yourself if you have sexuality problem. See a professionally trained counselor or explain this to a true man of God.

• Shun any form of carelessness. The Bible says; “Watch and Pray.” God’s Word did not only say you should pray alone. Be watchful as well.

• Pray to God constantly that you should not fall into the hands of rapists. Pray to God for those who are victims of rape. Pray that the Lord should be with them.

• Speak Out!

Interestingly, report has it that Pastor, E.A Adeboye, the General Overseer of the RCCG once laid his hands on him and prayed for him while he was still a chorister of the church.

Additionally, according to him, he disclosed that it was the prophecy of Pastor Adeboye at the Redeemed Camp in 1996 that changed his life dramatically.

At a time like this, there is need for us to encourage each other. Many Christians depend solely on what is preached in Church every Sunday. Some don’t have the capacity to pray alone for hours. The outbreak of Coronavirus has made many countries to ban public gathering, especially religious gathering.

The idea of running online services has only produced a lukewarm response from worshippers. Because some churches in Nigeria have chunk of members who are illiterate or who have no access to gadgets to browse. Then, what do we do for our love for God not to grow cold? How do we cope with the lockdown?

Cope With The Lockdown

(1) Take Preventive Measures
Preventive measures have been stated by World Health Organization (WHO). Do not see people in power as your enemies. The lockdown that has been declared in some States is to help in curtailing the spread of Coronavirus. Wash your hands frequently and stay at home as much as you can. Also, keep a safe distance, and cover your cough.

Most of us are aware of these measures that have been put in place to fight this enemy of man.

Matthew 26:41 (NIV) says, ”Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation…”

It is not enough to pray. The Bible enjoins us to watch and pray. So, let’s be watchful. Watch and pray so that you will not be the victim of COVID-19.

Four Biblical Reasons Behind Coronavirus


(2) Grow Spiritually
Many of us are not even going to work. We should take advantage of this opportunity to develop ourselves in our walk with God. Instead of doing irrelevant ‘challenge’ online that doesn’t contribute to one’s growth and development. Challenge yourself in a good way.

If you have never read all the books in the Bible, this should be the good time to do that. Start from Genesis and purpose in your heart to complete it before this year runs out. You can even post this as a ‘challenge’ on social media. You will find serious minded Christians who will join you.

Listen, the best way to kill boredom is read the mind of God — His Word. Develop your faith by reading and hearing His Word (Rom 10:17). Additionally, make sure you increase the time you spend in God’s presence this time. You can’t spend time in God’s presence and regret it.

When Jesus took his three of disciples to the Mount of Transfiguration. Peter said to Jesus in Matthew 17:4, ”It is good for us to be here…” The time they spent in His presence must have been splendid for a former fisherman to have said that.

Emphatically, I have said to believers who said they are bored at home to find a quiet place to pray. The problem we have is that we really do not want to grow. Dear friend, this is the time to develop yourself in the place of prayer. Grow in the Word. This time will soon be over.

Tips On How To Pray Effectively

(3) Be Positive
Obviously, a lot of people are dying of Coronavirus daily and many are being infected on a daily basis. Hence, as believers, we are to walk by faith not by sight ( 2 Cor 5:7). In other words. we are not to allow the things we see or hear to control us.

No matter what you see on Television or what you hear on Radio. Be positive. Do not join those who propagate fake news that breeds fear. Job said, the very thing he feared came upon him (Job 3:25). If you fear something to much, you will be subject to it. Concentrate more on the news that breeds hope and confidence in God.

Stay safe. Eat good food and distribute to those who do not have. Spread the message that bring hope to the heart of men. Rest assured, God is a covenant keeping God. He has promised not to bring horrible diseases on His children (Deu 7:15).

There have been biblical antecedents where such were experienced. We have already examined the reason behind the outbreak of COVID-19 HERE.

God’s Word is not silent about this pandemic as provisions for exemption have been made for His people. This article will enable you to prevail in this moment of pressure and fear.

I have compiled the biblical solutions to this invincible enemy of man called coronavirus.


(1) Fear Not

There is propensity for everyone to panic when anything that kills people is at work. It is natural for us to be fearful when we hear of a disease that kills human being. But ‘fear’ is not the fruit of the Spirit.

No believer is expected to panic or become fearful when negative events take place. We must realize the fact that fear cannot solve any problem. There were a total of 10 plagues God sent to Egypt before the Exodus. Whereas, God kept the Israelites safe in His Hand.

What The Bible Says About Coronavirus

The God who kept the Israelites safe is still alive today. He has not changed and He will never change (Mal 3:6).

Job 3:25 says;

”For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.”

Irrespective of Job’s fear, it could not hinder trouble and misfortune. As a matter of fact, one could infer that trouble came upon him through the channel of fear.

The fearful you become, the more you become susceptible to satanic oppression. The first solution to coronavirus is that you should increase your faith and avoid being fearful.

(2) Feed On God’s Word
My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings

For they are life unto those that find them, and HEALTH TO ALL THEIR FLESH.

Proverbs 4:20, 22

The Word of God imparts healing and energizes the body, no matter who you are. The more you study His Word, the healthier you become.

Apart from the natural immune system that your body has. God’s Word increases your immunity and fight against every disease. We should cease this opportunity to study God’s Word. It is not enough to read about preventive measures.

However, the most important thing is to get the Word in you. Because all things were created. So, everything is subject to the dominion of the world, even coronavirus.

Specifically, if you want the Word to work for you. Read, study, meditate on the Word and confess it.

Instead of sitting down before the TV set all day watching every latest news about COVID-19. Take time to develop your Spirit man. Study the Word and increase your immunity against every form of disease.

More so, the only thing that set the Israelites free from their sicknesses and diseases is the Word they received (Psalm 107:20).


(3) Obey Natural Laws
Many of the safety measures health practitioners asked us to take are biblical. Some of these measures are practised in the Old Testament.

For instance, seven days of isolation is recommended for those who have infectious disease (Lev 13:4). If there is no recovery from that disease, the person should continue to live in isolation (Lev 13:5). This is done in order to prevent the disease from spreading.

In other words, if you are showing symptoms of coronavirus. Do not keep on spreading it. Make this known to health care givers and through this the disease will be prevented from spreading.

Wash your hands regularly with sanitizers or soaps and water. Aaron and his sons were asked to wash their hands before entering the Tent of Meeting (Exo 30:17-21).

Stop being unreasonably religious. Stop tempting God. Take preventive measures as recommended by World Health Organization (WHO).Maintain social distancing as well.

(4) Pray
2 Chronicles 7:13-14
[13]If I shut up heaven that there be no rain, or if I command the locusts to devour the land, or IF I SEND PESTILENCE AMONG MY PEOPLE;

[14]If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, AND PRAY, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Prayed stops evil. When believers pray, miracles happen. We can change times and seasons through prayer. This time of plague can be changed if we can pray.

Let’s keep praying. Humble yourself and stand in the gap for others.

May the Lord heal our land in the name of Jesus.

No believer is expected to panic or become fearful when negative events take place. We must realize the fact that fear cannot solve any problem. There were a total of 10 plagues God sent to Egypt before the Exodus. Whereas, God kept the Israelites safe in His Hand.



The God who kept the Israelites safe is still alive today. He has not changed and He will never change (Mal 3:6).

Job 3:25 says;

”For the thing which I greatly feared is come upon me, and that which I was afraid of is come unto me.”

Irrespective of Job’s fear, it could not hinder trouble and misfortune. As a matter of fact, one could infer that trouble came upon him through the channel of fear.

The fearful you become, the more you become susceptible to satanic oppression. The first solution to coronavirus is that you should increase your faith and avoid being fearful.

Apart from the natural immune system that your body has. God’s Word increases your immunity and fight against every disease. We should cease this opportunity to study God’s Word. It is not enough to read about preventive measures.

However, the most important thing is to get the Word in you. Because all things were created. So, everything is subject to the dominion of the world, even coronavirus.

Specifically, if you want the Word to work for you. Read, study, meditate on the Word and confess it.

Instead of sitting down before the TV set all day watching every latest news about COVID-19. Take time to develop your Spirit man. Study the Word and increase your immunity against every form of disease.

More so, the only thing that set the Israelites free from their sicknesses and diseases is the Word they received (Psalm 107:20).

(3) Obey Natural Laws
Many of the safety measures health practitioners asked us to take are biblical. Some of these measures are practised in the Old Testament.

For instance, seven days of isolation is recommended for those who have infectious disease (Lev 13:4). If there is no recovery from that disease, the person should continue to live in isolation (Lev 13:5). This is done in order to prevent the disease from spreading.

In other words, if you are showing symptoms of coronavirus. Do not keep on spreading it. Make this known to health care givers and through this the disease will be prevented from spreading.

Wash your hands regularly with sanitizers or soaps and water. Aaron and his sons were asked to wash their hands before entering the Tent of Meeting (Exo 30:17-21).

Stop being unreasonably religious. Stop tempting God. Take preventive measures as recommended by World Health Organization (WHO). Maintain social distancing as well.

11 God did extraordinary miracles through Paul,

12 so that even handkerchiefs and aprons THAT HAD TOUCHED HIM were taken to the sick, and their illnesses were cured and the evil spirits left them.

Honestly, handkerchiefs were used in the days of Paul to perform signs and wonders. But the people were the ones who brought them to Paul to be touched by him. And miracles happened. There was no record that Paul sold those aprons and handkerchiefs.

Hence, any prophet who blesses some materials and sells them outrageously is false. I have been to a crusade where handkerchief of #100 was sold for #1,000 each. It’s a strategy used by false ministers to enrich their pocket.

It’s fine if you take an handkerchief, bottle of water or anointing oil to a minister for prayer. But something is wrong if a pastor sells a product for an outrageous amount because he has prayed upon it.

Frankly, you can pray on that materials and miracles will happen. Just work on your faith. Beware!

Sometimes, we just dress to cover our unclothedness. We often forget to dress fancifully and elegantly.

Biblically, God would have chosen to have man being naked if man he had not known he was naked.

So, the primary purpose of dressing is to cover one’s unclothedness.

Any style of dressing that reveals one’s unclothedness is out of God’s Word and original intention.

Beloved, avoid any dressing that depicts irresponsibility, immorality, and worldliness.

As a believer, you are not to dress to meet the standard of the world. You are to meet up with God’s standard.

Your dressing should portray you as an ambassador of Christ.

When people see you; don’t let them see Jesus in your words alone. Let them see Jesus in your dressing too.

It is not possible for you to be saved and be dressing like an unsaved person.

Summarily, you need to dress well in order not to violate God’s standard.

FIVE THINGS BELIEVERS MUST KNOW ABOUT SEX
(1) Sex Is Ordained To Be Within The Ambit Of Marriage
Genesis 2:25

And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.

According to Scriptures, the opposite sex can get naked with his or her partner, without any iota of shame. This is biblical! Sexual intercourse that is not done within the ambit of marriage is sin.

Adam and Eve were the first couple in the Bible as they have been joined together by God. So, they were unashamed of their unclothedness. Sex is for couples not for unmarried people.

Paul, the Apostle said those who could not keep themselves should get married. He said, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife. And every woman should have her own husband. This is quite instructive!

Today, young people have sex with people they are not married to. While some men go as far as paying prostitute to have sex with them. This violates the original intention of God for sex. For believers, no marriage, no sex.

2) It Is Possible To Live Without Sex

7 For I would that all men were even as I myself. But every man hath his proper gift of God, one after this manner, and another after that.

8 I say therefore to the unmarried and widows, it is good for them if they ABIDE EVEN AS I.

1 Corinthians 7:7-8

Paul said he had the gift to keep himself and even wished that some unmarried people could be like him. But he said it’s a function of gift. My point here is that stop assuming that every man cannot stay without sex.

There are several men in the Bible that sexual activity could not be traced to them. They are men like John the Baptist, Jesus, Jeremiah, Paul and so on. These men lived without sex. There are still more other people today who can do without sex.

However, I’d implore you to get married if you can’t stay without sex because that is God’s provision.

(3) Pornography Is Sex

Pornography pollutes the mind and destroys the eye. It promises satisfaction, yet, it cannot satisfy anyone’s sexual urge. What many Christians fail to realize is that, pornography is also seen as sex before God.

Matthew 5:28

But I tell you that anyone who LOOKS at a WOMAN LUSTFULLY has already committed ADULTERY with her in his heart

There is adultery of the heart and this is done by people who look lustfully at the opposite sex. Pornography provides viewers with the opportunity of looking at people lustfully.

Because people watch live sex and they are left to gaze and stare at naked bodies. In Jesus words, that one is called ADULTERY OF THE HEART. Beware!

(4) Married People Should Have Sex Often

Every married man and woman have been given the prerogatives to have good sex together. However, God’s Word is against lesbianism and same sex marriage (Romans 1:26 – 27). Paul wrote to the Church at Corinth in 1 Corinthians 7:5 saying;

Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time, that ye may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again, that Satan tempt you not for your incontinency.

Couple can abstain from sex in order to fast but they’re not to take too long to come together. Married women who deny their spouse of sex unnecessarily are doing their spouse a great deal of harm.

When you are married, stop giving excuses. Enjoy yourself and stop denying your spouse of the sex he or she deserves. Make your reasons known to your spouse if you are not going to have sex for the time being.

Besides, this particular verse applies to Timothy alone. He was a man who used to have frequent illnesses and digestion issues. Stop using this verse to justify your filthy lifestyle. Be truthful to yourself.

Timothy was asked to take little wine because of his health but you drink excessively for fun. Yet, you claim God is not against alcohol.

Early rabbis recognized wine’s unique qualities, thus incorporated it into Jewish ceremonies, such as Passover Seder, Puri etc.

For example, in a typical Nigerian ceremony, Jollof rice must be there. Normally, the Jews used Wine to celebrate feasts or ceremonies.

At that point, what they needed at the wedding was Wine. And Jesus to proved to them that He had the ability to supply them with what we needed.

You will discover that Jesus never commanded us to keep drinking alcohol after he had turned water to wine.

Dear friend, you need to stop drinking alcohol in order to avoid mockery. People tend to mock drunkards who have hangovers. I have seen people who posted the videos of drunkards acting irresponsibly under the influence of wine.

See, don’t make yourself an object of scorn. You have been dignified because Christ died for you. Don’t let your children be mocked because of your ignominious lifestyle.

Drunkards often vomit and fall down incessantly while walking. They often say unthinkable things that demean them. Stop drinking alcohol as a Christian.

Again, the Priests in the old testament were not permitted to drink strong drink. When talking about the qualifications of a Bishop. A Bishop is not supposed to be someone who is given to wine (1 Tim 2:3).

Drunkards will not be able to inherit the kingdom of God. Think of this; why would you allow the enjoyment of this world to deprive you of heaven?

This is basic reason why you need avoid every form of drunkenness. You may not like this, but it’s the truth. All through the Scriptures, you will find God condemning drunkenness. Quit now!

Conscience is a person’s moral sense of right and wrong viewed as a guide to one’s behaviour. It is a vigilant eye that holds up imagination and acts for censure or approval.

Your conscience is your God-ordained policeman. Therefore, it is sinful for you to willfully act against it.

God has given every living soul conscience. There is nobody that does not have it. This has nothing to do with salvation.

I don’t care if you have given your life to Christ or not. The crux of the matter is that; you have a conscience that you must obey. It is given to you by God to enable you live a morally upright life.

If you know the five types of conscience that we have, you will understand why some people are heartless.


Five Types Of Conscience
• Good Conscience

1 Peter 3:16
[16]Having a GOOD CONSCIENCE; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ.

This is the natural conscience that God has given to every man to serve as everyone’s guide. In the beginning, everything the Lord created was good.

Having a good conscience requires a lot of hard work and determination. Because you will be tempted to tell lies, cheat on your spouse and deny your guide several times.


Train it
Because it can be trained to be good, weak, defiled or dead. The best one to have is good. If your conscience is good, you will be able to do the right thing.

Even, whenever you do anything bad, it will quickly correct you. One can make his God ordained policeman to be dead due to one’s disobedience to its voice.

A good one will enable you live to please God. If you dogmatically obey your conscience, you won’t need professional counsellors to tell you what you need to do. Just obey your conscience.

Again, it is that voice that usually warns you whenever you want to steal. It is that voice that tells you to seek the good of others all the time.

Furthermore, it is that good voice that tells you to tell the truth all the time. It is that voice that convicts you whenever you lie. Every human being has this voice within them and if we all obey it, we will have a better world.

This kind of conscience is vulnerable to environmental pressure as it is susceptible to change. Anyone who has this type can be easily influenced.

More so, that person may be a very strong Christian with a strong Christian foundation. But can be easily influenced by the new set of people he is lives it.

In his new environment, if they steal people’s belongings. He/she can also join them as he will see nothing wrong in stealing.

So, any Christian who has weak conscience is a person of weak faith. Because he has made his conscience to be fragile. That is why you need to be careful of whom you choose as friends.

Environmental Pressure
Environmental influence or pressure can make a conscience weak. For instance, you know bribery is sinful. But you work in an establishment where bribery is the other of the day.

Believe me, you could be forced to assume that bribery is not sinful because some of your bosses are involved.

The reason is, they have defiled their God-ordained policeman. A defiled conscience is the one that has been remoulded through sin and disobedience.

Truthfully, a person with an evil conscience is someone who has trained himself/herself to do evil. This person has lied to the extent that lies have become truth to him.

Additionally, there is hardly no evil thing someone like this cannot do. Because he/she has trained his God-ordained policeman to accept evil as a lifestyle

Without mincing words, this is why some politicians can kill people and they will never feel guilty. This is why some people are heartless and inhumane.

The best gift one can give to his God-ordained policeman is to obey its leading. Because it cannot lead you to do the wrong thing. Whenever your (God-ordained policeman) corrects you. Please, listen and change.

If you refuse to listen to its leading, you will end up having an evil conscience.


• Dead One
1 Timothy 4:2
[2]Speaking lies in hypocrisy; HAVING THEIR CONSCIENCE SEARED WITH A HOT IRON;

Practically, when you place a hot on a hour body part for too long. It can kill the cells of your body. This will make it unresponsive to outside world.

Similarly, when you sear your conscience with hot iron. You have killed its functionality. It will be unable to work as expected.

In other words, when something is dead, it means that thing is no more working again. God has given you a natural guide in life that will make you do the right thing in life.

Never allow selfishness and wrongdoing to kill it.

• Every human being is blessed with a guide and an instructor. If everyone listen to this God-ordained policeman, we will all do the right thing.

• Having a good conscience should be the goal of every believer in order for us not to do unlawful things.

Showing great level of understanding to the plight of your man earns you a lot of respect. You must be a woman who shows understanding to her spouse.

Men don’t like it when women bombard them with irrelevant questions about their movement. You must try to be a type of woman who tries to understand your spouse easily.

For instance, if your husband has told the reason why he won’t be having sex with you for the next three days, due to fasting and prayer.

Never be quick to condemn his decision. Let him finish the fasting and prayer, before you present your complaint to him. Just show great level of understanding.

Try not to be a woman who nags over little misunderstanding. Understand the fact that your man may not have money all the time.

At times, when he gives you meager amount. Don’t be quick to condemn him. It may be because his business has gone down at that point. So, just try to put yourself in his shoes.

Unfortunately, Some young people have been entangled in an undefined relationship.

Some people have wasted their time and efforts investing in a relationship that eventually hit the rock.

There are signs to look out for in any wrong relationship. There is no failed relationship today, that did not show these signs before they failed.

How To Know You Are In A Wrong Relationship
• Relationship That Produces Frequent Conflict

Amos 3:3
[3]Can two walk together, except they be agreed?

Every relationship that is not solidly based on shared goals, beliefs and vision will continually spring up frequent conflict.

It is not possible for both parties to enjoy their friendship if there is no agreement in their basic values.

You will know that you are in a wrong relationship when it turns to a battlefield one. Don’t be surprised when your partner engages you in a physical battle.

If you do not leave this kind of relationship, you may harm yourself. A wrong association will definitely produce endless conflict.

One can easily sense the absence of love as the people involved fight ignorantly over trivial issues.

Any association that constantly produce conflict or dispute is not the best the relationship. It shows how bad such association is.

Although, two people can disagree over certain issues but they are to solve it amicably.

And this should happen once in a while. But if this is constant, and always lead to physical battle. Such friendship is awfully wrong.

• Relationship That Has Deceit As Its Hallmark

Jeremiah 17:9
[9]The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

Anything built on deceit will not endure the test of time. There is no association or relationship that can enjoy stability with lies.

Wrong relationship will produce lies, cheating on one another and hiding under guise to dupe one another.

When there is no truth in the relationship anymore, the love that binds the people involved will plummet.

Samson was taken and dealt with by his enemies because whom he perceived to be his lover, Delilah dealt with him deceptively.

Honestly, there was no way Samson would have been handed over to his enemies.

If his lover had told Samson that she had been sent to hand him over to the Philistines.

More so, they would have fought the battle together if there was truthfulness in that friendship.

That’s the power of openness and truthfulness. Avoid any relationship that is founded on lies. It is a wrong association.

Whether you like it or not, you guys are not going to make it work like that.

When God detected deceit in Lucifer, he sent him away from His presence (Isaiah 14:12-15).

Because God knew no good will come out of their relationship once there was a deceitful thought in Lucifer.

Above all, you know a wrong relationship by the level of its deceit. Deceit is also a principal sign of parasitic friendship.

Love is the hallmark of a true Christian. Whoever loves the Lord, himself/herself and his/her neighbors will never tell lies. Please, understand me.

The Word “Christian” is not an emblem. It is the name given to the real followers of Jesus Christ. There are many who professed to be Christians today, yet, they are nothing but unbelievers.

Christians are expected to possess Christ-like character. They are supposed to be representatives of Christ on earth. They are supposed to possess certain qualities that set them apart from unbelievers.

However, there are certain qualities that are repugnant to Christ-like character. Also, there are things a good Christian should never do. Come with me as I highlight and expound them one after the other.

• Never Hate

Your Christian living is faulty if you have certain people you hate. If you have developed deep hatred towards certain people whom God created, you are not a good Christian.

More so, the lifeblood of Christianity is love and no true believer should hate any human being. The Bible says you abide in darkness, if you hate people.

No matter what others have done for you, the word, “Hatred” should not be found in you anymore. We are commanded to love everyone. You are not to love believers and hate unbelievers.

God loves the World and He gave us His only begotten son. That’s the kind of love every Christian should possess. God expects us to love all men, irrespective of their belief, lifestyle, exposure, tribe, or nationality.

So, one of the things a Christian should never do is to hate people. Hatred is true mark of our fellowship with the devil – darkness. The true mark of a believer is love.


• A Good Christian Should Never Hold Grudges Against Anyone

Ephesians 4:31
[31]LET ALL BITTERNESS, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

Biblically, every believer is to put away every from of malice. How can you call yourself a Christian and find it easier to hold grudges against people?

Grudge is a deep-seated and/or long-term animosity or ill-feeling about something or someone. It may be because of a past bad deed or mistreatment.

Definitely, people will offend us. They will do specific things that will incite us against them. But a good believer will not keep malice with them. We are to love them for who they are.

Candidly, if you are referred to as a Christian. And you love to hold grudges against people, my dear, you are not a true Christian. Because a true Christian is to put away malice.

Today, forgive that person who have offended you. Start greeting him/her if he/she isn’t greeting you. End your dispute today. Who knows when Jesus will come back? Nobody.

Once again, a true Christian will never hold grudges against his fellow. Hence, he forgiven them irrespective of the levity of the sin.


• Don’t Use Your Tongue Wrongly

James 1:26
[26]If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.

You may be the type who attends Church from Sunday to the next Sunday. But whenever you come back home, you use your tongue wrongly. The Bible says your religion (Christianity) is false.

Hence, a good believer should be able to bring his tongue under subjects. You should be able to keep your mouth shut at times. And you should know when to talk.

People will doubt your testimony of salvation if you speak foul words. Believers should steer clear of corrupt communication such as abusive language, curses are coarse jesting.

Also, if you are able to control your tongue, you are a perfect man (James 3:2). Don’t allow your tongue to control you as a believer.

Indeed, as a good Christian, there are some things you should never say. There are words that should never come out of your mouth.

Weigh your words. Don’t just talk. Represent Christ well on earth by bringing your tongue to subjection.

• Be Slow To Speak

Most of the time we get angry, we listen to respond, we don’t listen to understand.

It is not every time you respond to every word people utter towards you. Listening to respond will make you flare up easily.

But when you listen to understand what someone is saying.

You will know how to respond without flaring up. Luke 23:9 says concerning Jesus, when Herod questioned him that;

“Then he questioned with him in many words; but HE ANSWERED NOTHING.”

If you really want to overcome anger; you must learn to be slow to speak.

At times, you may need not to respond to that person at the time he/she speaks to you.

For example, when someone says something that gets you angry. Just look at him and don’t say anything.

Why? If you say anything at that time.

You may make statement you may live to regret that you uttered. The truth is, words are like eggs.

Once they fall, to gather all fragments after the fall is absolutely impossible.

To deal with anger, learn to be slow to speak. Be like Jesus who responded to his enemies only when it was necessary.

Additionally, whenever you are angry don’t utter any word.

If your wife says something that makes you angry. Say nothing to her at that point.

• Forgive The Person That Made You Angry

Why? If you do not forgive that person, the anger you have towards him/her will not be subdued.

There are some people who claimed to be believers, yet they find it difficult to forgive people.

One of the fruits of new nature of Christ is forgiveness.

Those soldiers who tortured, beat and dealt with Jesus, received Jesus forgiveness.

Jesus prayed to his father that He should forgive them for their ignorance.


You might be free from anger, if you genuinely forgive the person who made you angry. Forgive that man! Forgive that woman!

Sincerely, if you forgive someone, you haven’t done a favour to that person. You have only done yourself a favour.

Yes, forgive people and be free from anger. If you fail to forgive. Then, anger continues. But, I’d implore you to forgive.

Truly, as vital and powerful the anointing of God is, there are certain things that the Lord’s anointing will not do for us. Biblically, It’s true that the anointing breaks yokes and it is the anointing that empowers.

Anointing is the presence of Holy Spirit in a believer’s life. This article is not written to present God’s anointing as ineffective and powerless. However, it is written so that we can rid ourselves of the erroneous teachings we have been taught concerning the anointing.

1. God’s Anointing will not make you immune to temptations;

After Jesus Christ had just finished fasting for forty days, and he returned with more power(anointing) from above, yet the tempter came to tempt him.

[3]And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

So, temptation is part and parcel of life. No man can make himself immune to sin through anointing. You don’t say because you are powerfully anointed, no lady can tempt you with sex. Anointing will never blind your eyes from viewing beautiful ladies, big money and other attractive things. Despite the fact that you’re anointed by God, temptations are bound to come.

Never feel that temptation is the absence of God’s presence in your life. That anointing will never make you immune to temptation but will attract temptations. They will tempt you to steal. Men will tempt you to tell lies. Satan will tempt you to preach false gospel. Again, you will be tempted to sin.



When you need to flee, please flee. His anointing cannot send enticers away from you but you only need to apply wisdom. Devil will desperately tempt every anointed man or woman of God. Christians are to be sober and vigilant so that the devil will not take advantage of their ignorance.

2. Also, anointing will not automatically take you to heaven

Are you surprised? Many anointed men of God are in hell now while many will still join them. I’m not judgemental, I am just being factual.

Matthew 7:22
[22]Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?”

In other words, the people Jesus talked about here were believers who had the anointing to cast out demons and they did wonderful and mighty works for God. Again, they were not those who could not perform miracles but those who performed great miracles.


Yet, these people would be sent to hell. Why? They did not do the will of the father(Matt 7:21). What’s God’s will? The will of the father is that you avoid sin(1 These 4:3). So, anybody who has anointing but fails to do the Lord’s will, will end in hell.

To be truthful, anointing is not an automatic ticket to heaven. Be careful! Anointing cannot take you to heaven. It is true salvation, sanctification and holiness that guarantee heaven.

3. He does not make you immune to poverty

Unarguably, we have many preachers who God has anointed powerfully today and these people can pray for the sick, and they will be healed. They can do and undo with God’s anointing yet, they live in abject poverty. There are pastors who cannot afford to take good care of their family financially. This is the pure truth.

Basically, it does not mean that they are not anointed but it simply means that they haven’t obeyed the laws that bring wealth. Principles govern money and only those who obey those principles would be wealthy. Believe me, that’s why an unbeliever can be wealthy if he obeys those principles.

2 Kings 4:1;
[1]Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear the LORD: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two sons to be bondmen.

However, In the afore quoted verse of the scriptures, God’s true prophet died as a borrower. One needs to be poor before you can borrow. If you have enough money you wouldn’t think of borrowing to do anything.

Logically, if that prophet was wealthy enough, he wouldn’t live a life of borrowing and debt. It implies that he was poor despite the anointing he had. That tells you that anointing does not bring sudden money into your account. Believer’s responsibility is that he needs to take your time to study God’s Word and learn God’s principles that govern wealth.

4. Great anointing will not exempt you from facing life challenges

Without hiding any truth, despite the anointing Jesus had, he faced life’s challenges. He had issues with the Pharisees, the Scribes, the Jews and others. He was despised! His brothers never believed him! His listeners misunderstood him on several occasions! Lastly, with his anointing they nailed him to the cross, beat him and despised him. He faced life’s challenges.

Sometimes, it amazes me when ministers act as if the anointing they have will exempt them from life’s challenges. A man can be anointed and experience delay in childbearing. Also, you can be anointed and be beaten and abused.

As a pastor, you can be anointed and be rejected. People can steal your money, despite your anointing. You need to be careful because anointing does not take away all your life’s challenges but will empower you to live and come out victorious.

5. His Anointing does not turn your body to a steel or superhuman

Some ministers of the gospel use their body as if it is a steel. Many of them wonder why they fall sick often. While, most of them think that anointing will not allow them to be sick even if they overuse their body. Listen, nature cannot be cheated. As an anointed man of God if you don’t have enough sleep tonight, anointing will not exempt you from dosing off the following day. Anointing will not stop your body from being tired if you stress yourself or over labour.

John 4:6
“Jacob’s well was there, and Jesus, tired as he was from the journey, sat down by the well. It was about noon.”

Due to the fact that God’s anointing was upon Jesus life, he became tired because he walked for too long. What did he do when he was tired? He sat down; he rested. That’s what many ministers of today will not do. They will not rest and that is one the reasons, ministers die prematurely today.

More so, Don’t be deceived, you need to take some rest after labouring. If you don’t rest now, you may be laid to rest. Rest because your body deserves it. Anointing does not turn your body to steel.

You are supernatural but you live in a body that is natural. Therefore, be careful of what you eat, the work you do and how you use your body.

In conclusion, every believer must be filled with the Sprit but we are to understand the duties of the anointing that we have received.

You may not like this, but it is the truth. You have a lot to gain if you over pamper your spouse. The more you take care of your man, the more he loves you.

The more you show him that you don’t care. The more he dislikes you. Therefore, being caring is an act that turns men on.


• Great Understanding

Showing great level of understanding to the plight of your man earns you a lot of respect. You must be a woman who shows understanding to her spouse.

Men don’t like it when women bombard them with irrelevant questions about their movement. You must try to be a type of woman who tries to understand your spouse easily.

For instance, if your husband has told the reason why he won’t be having sex with you for the next three days, due to fasting and prayer.

Never be quick to condemn his decision. Let him finish the fasting and prayer, before you present your complaint to him. Just show great level of understanding.

Try not to be a woman who nags over little misunderstanding. Understand the fact that your man may not have money all the time.

At times, when he gives you meager amount. Don’t be quick to condemn him. It may be because his business has gone down at that point. So, just try to put yourself in his shoes.
