Simple! It only shows you are passionate about the Coy for you to be able to work FOC..Stress the point that you are currently undergoing a training period where you are been trained by your dad with the future plan of you taking over some day..
You can still print your SOA and probably highlight the cash lodgement by your Dad(Except he gives you cash sha o)
All in all, make it very obvious but subtle that the Company is going to be left in your care in the long run, hence the investment of a sound education on you!
Cheers!

richcasey:
That is where I become a complex applicant... I work only for experience in my dad's company as a construction coordinator, I earn no salary from the job I do. When I need money, I just ask him. And this has been this way since I resumed early 2014. So thats why I decided not to post anything from the account oo.
I've spent sleepless nights thinking about this part.

ooya twizzie .. I see your suggestion for the other page.. ooya I need help with this part of my application

I know someone that has used his services before and I even posted the quote she got from him here some weeks back when Nerf was hospital hunting but I guess Justwise felt I was marketing.. She had a good experience with the man though she gave birth naturally...
All in all, it's a personal decision.. You decide who you want to use!!
TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by twizzie: 4:16pm On Jun 02, 2015
You could package small sha.. A scenario just came to head..
You worked with them five years ago, you left but the company wanted you to stay.. You felt they were not encouraging your career so you left for ur MBA.. After they called you back and offered to give you the job, you gave them a condition that you will be going for your masters in Leadership first before you can fully work with them... Based on your great contribution the last time you were in their employment, they accepted...
Na you come know how you go put am for SOP or company's statement..
Again, my opinion

Team12:
I am no VO ooo, but come on, we all kniw how this things work. How easy will it be for the VO to believe that a company you iust joined a month ago is giving you study leave? Most companies have a strict policy on study leave.
Meanwhile, I hope you did not state it in your SOP that the CEO is your family friend, cos that might just make it look like he is aranging things to make ur app look real...

My 50 cents!

TravelRe: Travelling To Canada Part 7 by twizzie: 2:01pm On Jun 02, 2015
Just a question I think the VO may ask..
Why will a company you started work with last month give you a study leave for a year or more? Why then did they employ you? Make sure that reason is addressed in your SOP...My opinion!!
Crich:
Thanks Team 12.

Was out of job for abt a Year(personal reasons) so i've only worked here for a month. Including personal SOA, i don't know how dt will look(empty acct).

I don't think your wade matters as much, as long as your grades for undergrad are decent you should be fine.

Immigration Canada has nothing to do with your school admission, the more times you've travelled to a G8 country and returned the better chance you'll have of getting your visa.

Morning All..
Pls I have a question...What are the chances of someone who wants to go for his PGD/Masters in Engineering but his WAEC result is two sittings? His undergrad is Engineering.. I heard it's a major no-no which I raised to him but the person won't just accept..Also, IF the person is granted admission, does CIC have anything to do with the result? I mean WAEC result.. What are his chances of getting a TRV..Pls bear in mind that the person has been to the US three times last year inclusive..
Thank you..

TravelRe: Usa Visit Visa by twizzie: 11:03am On May 21, 2015
If you are going with the first option, please bear in mind that the VO will be wondering why your company wants to send you on company funds for an all expense paid trip to the US.. Did you do something extra-ordinary that warrants the action? When you can tackle that, then you may use that...
2nd option - Depending on how you carry yourself and package your home ties, then this might work for you... You could apply alone without your daughter and let her serve as a tie back home..Your job as well will do.. You can then apply for your child later after your first visit or even before.. You could state also that your uncle is your god-father.. Oyinbo dey like those things..
3rd option is almost like a red-flag...It will take divine intervention for the VO not to see it as an intent to migrate to join your fiance, but hey, you never can say..

Please, all these are my opinion, I just tot to advise based on that..

Divake:
Helo peeps.

I have never been out of the country before, in 2012, i applied for a Uk visa to go on vacation but was denied, I have a son, and my fiance work and study in the US, he is a green card holder, I need advise on the following options for my USA visa application.

1st Option: My employer wants to send me on all paid expense vacation trip. I work in a financial institution as an accountant and i earn N186,000 monthly net of tax.

2nd Option: My Uncle who is a citizen wants to send me an invitation.

3rd Option: My fiance wants to send me an invitation but we only have conversation on phones and BBM, whats app,2years going. No other evidence of relationship.

I want to go alone and leave my son with my mum, he is a year and half old. I intend to go with him on my next vacation.

Which option do i go with? and what are my chances of non-refusal with the option considering leaving my son behind.
Is your fiance who is in the US the mother of your son ?

Thank you. If i were to go with the first opinion i.e my employer sponsoring me, what documents do i need to get from my employer to present at the embassy?
TravelRe: Usa Visit Visa by twizzie: 10:44am On May 21, 2015
Maam, correct me if I am wrong but I sense a little desperation here...
Believe me, it's more painful when you have spent application fees (like 30k) for you and you baby each and you still get denied..

The VO will be wondering why.
1. You want to go on a vacation without your two other kids and hubby (When you don't even have any history of all of you together)
2. You will be spending a huge chunk of your savings just to do that..
3. You haven't gone anywhere before for vacay before so why the US?

If you must, I will advise you change your story...
You could state that you had a not-so-good experience having your last baby and it has taken a toll on your health hence the reason doctors have advised to take time out and rest.. That Ideally, you would have gone without your baby but he/she is just too young so you have to go with him/her...
Your hubby and kids serve as home tie..
Your balance(preferably your hubbys) should at least have 1M.. Tickets now have gone above 350k though you will be spending just a lil fraction for your baby..
You have decided to go to US cos you will be doing what the Docs advised and also you will be using that opportunity to see your cousin whom you haven't seen for a long time...

I must tell you though that you have to pray to meet a very very very very patient VO.. All in all, the GOD factor will help you...
cheers!

Waiting on the response tho.. I dey learn everyday...

Tvegas:
I see no one has answered you so let me try. what do you mean by usc? Do you mean University of Southern California?

Irrespective of a pending immigrant application your non immigrant visa cannot be cancelled IF you have not contravened the terms upon which the visa was issued.e.g Overstaying in the US or working with a visitors visa. so the letter is in order. Answer to Question number 2 depends on what USC mean so you can recap. cheers

@Happymum, I think Nita has answered you well. I stayed in Ocotillo and it is quite close to the hospital and airport... Monterra too is on the same road but It isn't furnished. I would advise you to do east Oak tho, its about 3 stops from Ocotillo as well but just opp some stores like burlington n Ross et al.Also, there's internet available (wifi) but in Ocotillo, you have to get yours..You will need to get kitchen utensils and maybe a tv in Ocotillo..The TV na small thing as you can get one in the goodwill store for one dollar.. Believe me, I got one bigggggg tv for a dollar.. I left it there when I was leaving.. Not sure about kitchen utensils in East oak tho..Most importantly, try and meet up with other nairalander mamas there.. They are lifesavers!
Nita2013:
Hello Happymum, u can try Extended Stay east oak, Ocotillo apartments or Monterra. They r very close to d hospital and affordable. But for Ocotillo u av to rent some things eg TV et all. Monterra to d best of my knowledge is not furnished too but Extended stay eaast oak has got everything just like crossland.m crossland is a bit far from d hospital (I stayed in crossland) it's about 1hr from d hospital by bus but 15mins by cab but trust us naija women (we were up to 15 in Crossland at that time) we were usin bus for appointments but used cab mostly after delivery. Some still used bus after delivery too.

For things to carry pls do not carry yam. Like Tvegas said palm oil is prohibited as well. U can get big bottle of palm oil for $14. Anything containing chicken is prohibited eg chicken indomie, chicken Maggi etc though some pple her went in with them freely but For me I wud rather play by d rules to avoid any story. Cheers

My Dear, I flew Delta Last Dec with my infant and I did not pay shishi.. I mean no dollar at all and I still carried 10kg for him.. How it happened still baffles me but let me give you what I think might have saved me.. Get the baby's Naija passport if you can..That way, you can request that they just upload baby's data on your own ticket..
Also, don't bother contacting them now..Just go to the airport and inform them of your intentions..
I went with my toddler and my mum.. my toddler;s ticket was on mine so I just told the lady I wanted to purchase for my baby on my mom's ticket.. She told me since the baby is below two, I didn't need to. I told her that it wasn't just a local flight as I will be flying to Lagos from Atlanta.. She said it doesn't matter. I kuku kept quiet and asked her to help print out boarding pass for both JFK-ATL and ATL-LOS...
I also asked if I was entitled to a bag for my baby as I had one and she said sure..Maybe she was tired o, or she was new, I really don't know but God did it.. She went to ask her supervisor and that one was already oohing and aahing on my sons with my mum..She just took the thing, printed it out and wowza! we were on our way...
Morale of the Story? Let the spirit lead you.

Arik did not change their rules my dear. I guess you didn't understand it.
The rule states that they will carry you at 34 weeks if you are returning to your country of residence.. So, assuming USA happens to be your country of residence, then they will def carry you..
Argued this with an agent who almost booked me on Arik.. i had to point it out to him...

Hi. I don't know if anyone has answered you but i was in NYC Dec and I got my baby's passport same day.. fortunately, my SIL who I went with knew someone there so he expedited the process..All u need are:
1. Consent letter from both parents(it doesn't matter if you are both present) You will still be requested to write it.
2. Data pages of your passport.
3. Pre- registered confirmation form.. just google that..
4. Payment of about $80 electronically..(you will take confirmation along)
5. Processing fee(Money order of $30
That's about all.
If you need to get asap, you might be asked to pay another $60 for expedited..

Oh, be ready for one Madan Igwe or so, can't remember her name..She kept on rambling and rambling leaving her duties just to come and be gisting with all applicants!
bbaby84:
The visa is so expensive now. It's double what it was 3 years ago... Has anyone collected Nigerian passport for their child or children from Ny house please let me know.

Southwest goes to Chicago, not O'Hare Int Airport, goes to Chicago midway.

The name is southwest cos they started in the southwest but they've merged with other airlines and expanded their routes, although still not as wide as the bigger domestic airlines.

Congrats Nef. God does answer prayers.

Congrats to. All d new mammas n papas as. Well.God is indeed fAithfullm
Been ages I came here, handling 2 under two babies aint easy.#
Anywys, back in d country. Nepa no just dey try at all.
To answer d uestions thrown at me,
For baby docs, I didn't go to Tucson mainly cos of d stress nd lso, 40k+ for cab was. Just much. Since I was going back to NJ, decided to ply for d pssport in Newyork. It took me just bout 40 mins at d passport office nd I ws told to come bk for pickup next day. Went to the Naija house in Newyok too, I had already applied online before going and paid 70 dollars, went with d $30 mmoney order as well. The docs u need to take are consent letters from both parent(it doesn't mtter if u are both present), printout from d. Online appliction, $30 dollr money order, copy of passport data pages. U need to get there before 12m u cn ignore d appointment date given during d online appliction. I did.
Took bout 3 hours plus but I ws lucky my sis saw someone she knew thhere so we got d passport tht day. Did d two passport same day.
Travelling bk was d biggest testimony as I didn't have to pay a dime for my baby's ticket. Flew delta and I already heard gist of them charging 400+ dollars for babyit was just a shock cos I mentnted to purchase my bby's ticket on my mom's as I had my toddler's on mine. She just said since he was below two, then it was free. I told her it wasn't just a local flight as I was still flying to Lagos from Atl and she said saame. Me I kuku asked her to print boarding pass for d two legs of d journey. Jfk to Atl and Atl ro Los. So I won't be asked to buy in atlanta. Na so I even checked in 10kg for d baby o on top free things.
Back home now, trying to comprehend how Nepa fuctions once again!
All d best to everyone! Pray we all have a better and more wonderful 2015!
Pls ignore any typos.
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedure? by twizzie: 4:03pm On Nov 17, 2014
@heart2heart, if u have family or friends in the Us, u can ask them to do that for you. That's what we did to get the place. The only osh is that they will want to sought the id when you are about to pay. You can bring d Id and then post back to the owner immediately. Otherwise, try extended stay oak street.
TravelRe: Give Birth In USA: Cost And Procedure? by twizzie: 1:24pm On Nov 17, 2014
So I got PMS to share my experience with Mihs.
Well, I don't have subsequent experiences with any American hospitals so I really can't compare. All in all, I feel the experience was good. The staff are genuinely concerned bout you, especially the baby. They will take their time to check d baby, you sef go dey pray make them no detain you extra day. One thing though is always ask questions and when you need something, ask. If you are not clear on something, ask as well. The docs will encourage you to ask as well.
Had my baby thru Cs. was actually there that day for my ultrasound, they noticed my aminotic fluid level was a bit low. Na so them keep me for monitoring o. From monitoring, it was decided that they had to bring d baby out cos he kept moving and changing position. Induction wasnt an option cos i had a previous CS, my hope of a VBAC flew outta d window. Then they started explaining explicitly the procedure..fear gripped me at a point. Everyone explained what they were going to do. Nurses, docs, anesthesiologists,. The procedure was over in less than two hours. Recovery in post partum was sweet. Was given ice as soon as i came out. Was adviced to walk around that evening which I did. Those pain meds can turn u to a drug addict. Lol. One thing guaranteed is your welfare is their priority.
Some nurses weren't so great but some are just angels.
As for accomodation, i would advice getting a place where there are other Naija mommas. Believe me, this place boring and moving around isnt that easy. Especially if you dont have anyone to show you arou d. Cross land moms have all left, except for one. Extended stay Oak street still have a few. Ocotillo village which is where i am have just two pple left. Its quite close to d hospital, very close to d airport as well. The only thing is u need an american id and SSN to get a place here.
OK, I think I have tried, I hereby drop my 'golden' pen. Hope this helps someone.

What is happening in the house? where are the phemas, twizzie, tvagas, and other popcorn and groundnut eaters on this board? have they gone to have their babies just like I did.

I thank God for the safe delivery of my baby boy on Tuesday, 4th. Although, didnt go as planned as I wanted a vaginal delivery but ended with an EMCS cos my boy was way too big (4kg) for my pelvic. All the same, I thank God it all went well. Mummy and baby boy are doing great.

Had my baby in New Jersey, same Dr Fares and Moutainside Hospital. I received the best care all through my stay at the hospital. All the staff that attended to me were all great. it was indeed a good one.
