Christianity Etc › Re: New Pope To Abolish Celibacy Regulation by Ubenedictus(m): 7:41am On Mar 21, 2013
ijawkid: But u should agree my bro that the human law of celibacy is indeed one of the causative of pedophilia amongst RCC priests...........the number of those who took the lead in the christian congregation after Jesus' ascension who were celibates was infinitesimal............I would have loved it if you mentioned like 10 of the apostles who were celibates or who were celibates because it was a requirement for service just as it is done in the RCC....

For you to deny that celibacy has nothing to do with homosexuality and pedophilia amongst priests of the RCC would be like denying that religion has little or nothing to do with naija's backwardness...............
i asked you earlier, if celibacy was the cause of pedophilia and homosexuality, please tell me why those behaviours are found among married members of the society.
Christianity Etc › Re: New Pope To Abolish Celibacy Regulation by Ubenedictus(m): 7:39am On Mar 21, 2013
ijawkid: If this is true then it would really help the image of the catholic church..........walahi!!!!!!!!..........priests would now be able to carry out there duties with all joy devoid of the constant happenings of pedophelia and homosexuality cases........
hahaha, so you are unaware that married protestant pastors have been accused of pedophilia?
If marriage prevent pedophilia why didnt it prevent it for those protestant pastors?

I wanted to keep quite and not expose you inability to understand but you leave me no choice.
big mo: The first sentence from the article reads
"The Roman Catholic Church may be open to
discussing its long held requirement for priests to
lead a celibate life as it prepares for a new chapter
with the coming election of Pope Benedict XVI's
successor,
some church leaders have said."
Which schools did you attend? Were you not taught comprehension and how to deduce answers to from questions extracted from å passage? Or you want me to start spoon feeding u or breast milk you.
can you see the bolded? The gist was written before the election of pope francis yet your thread reads "new pope to abolish celebacy regulation".
How can they know what the new pope wants to do when at the time of d writting of the article there was no new pope?
Infact the article you call your source never said anything about a "new pope".
So where did you get your story?
Christianity Etc › Re: My Problem With Catholism-An Introspection by Ubenedictus(m): 7:02pm On Mar 20, 2013
truthislight: those ^ ant the apostles of christ writings.

we are talking about writings/epistle of the apostles and you presenting fairy tales.

Are the writers of those books the apostles of christ?

The writings of the NT are exclusive to the apostles of christ thereof, and they all died off in the 1st century ce.

What was done was to bring together the writings of this apostles = NT. QED.

See those that have the word of God:

(1 Thessalonians 2:13).
"For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that believe." (1 Thessalonians 2:13).
.................

So, guy, see this below, it is this apostles that has the word of God that was compiled and
item 10 in this post below shows how paul directed that congregation or early churches should exchange letters.

See:
peter:
1. "As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction. Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness." (2 Peter 3:16-17).
(note: his epistle)

Paul:
2. "The salutation of Paul with mine own hand, which is the token in every epistle: so I write." (2 Thessalonians 3:17).

(note: every epistle)

3. "Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle." (2 Thessalonians 2:15).
(note: our epistle)

4. "And Tychicus have I sent to Ephesus. The cloke that I left at Troas with Carpus, when thou comest, bring with thee, and the books, but especially the parchments." (2 Timothy 4:12-13).

5. "Therefore I write these things being absent, lest being present I should use sharpness, according to the power which the Lord hath given me to edification, and not to destruction." (2 Corinthians 13:10).

6. "I wrote unto you in an epistle not to company with fornicators:" (1 Corinthians 5:9).
(note: his epistle)

7. "But now I have written unto you not to keep company, if any man that is called a brother be a fornicator, or covetous, or an idolater, or a railer, or a drunkard, or an extortioner; with such an one no not to eat." (1 Corinthians 5:11).
(note: I have written unto you)

8. "Now the things which I write unto you, behold, before God, I lie not." (Galatians 1:20).
( I write unto you,)

9. "How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words, Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)" (Ephesians 3:3-4).

(note: as I wrote afore in few words,)

Congregations to exchange letters :

1. "And when this epistle is read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye likewise read the epistle from Laodicea." (Colossians 4:16).

My Conclussion:
I am really afraid for you that somehow christ may have died in vein in your own case because of your looking at the wrong direction.

This are letters that the apostles wrote,
You have cause many people to lose faith and turn to atheism.

Now, can you provide the writers of those other books so that we consider how they can stand a chance against the writings of christ apostles?

The NT = writings of christ apostles.
si wher is d epistle to d ladioceans i cant find it in d bible
Christianity Etc › Re: My Problem With Catholism-An Introspection by Ubenedictus(m): 6:57pm On Mar 20, 2013
Reyginus: Let me try.
1. Nobody but the bible, the NT, determines what is christain.
2. The direct apostles laid a foundation, their teachings. This serve as the manual for those who are really after the truth.
hehehe so u no hear say there were no bible in those times!
Christianity Etc › Re: My Problem With Catholism-An Introspection by Ubenedictus(m): 6:55pm On Mar 20, 2013
Reyginus: And an ideology is a movement how?
Read.
Arianism is the theological teaching attributed to Arius (ca. AD 250–336), a Christian presbyter in Alexandria, Egypt, concerning the relationship of God to the Son of God (Jesus of Nazareth). Arius asserted that the Son of God was a subordinate
entity to God the Father. Deemed a heretic by the Ecumenical First Council of Nicaea of 325, Arius was later exonerated in 335 at the regional First Synod of Tyre ,[1] and then, after his death, pronounced a heretic again at the Ecumenical.
Please I need more.
pls go and research arianism, it was a movement with it own bishop. This thread is revealing ur ignorance on this issue.

Reyginus: Ofcourse, their can't be. Likewise, it is also a fact that when particular individuals break out from a particular party to form new ones, the credit recorded in their era of unison is not accorded to the same party without referencing everyone who paved way for it . Even with the respect to the fact that they share common objective.
My point is very simple.
Assuming a building construction is meant to provide shelter for every Imolite. Together they beautified the house and set up a manual on how to run this house. Then suddenly, a certain number of imolites began to have doubts as to the sincerity of the system. When they presented these problems to the head of the house, out of whatever reason I know not, he rejected the recommendations and excommunicated these individuals. In the course of time, you were asked which people beautified the house. To be honest, what will your answer be?
your analogy doesnt work me dear unless you have a way of proving that martin luther and co were among the church fathers that compiled the bible.

Unfortunately, ur statement means Francis was also too unintellectual to understand what the pope was saying! Well good riddance . . .
you are just baised against benedict. Jorge clearly said those words used by benedict donot represent his views and benedict himself said, the words in question do not represent his views. He simply quoted a text, but unfortunately the islamic scholars didnt seem to know the use of quotations.
Francis didnt say he didnt understand, he said d words donot represent his views and benedict said the same. Benedict isnt responsible for d fact that d islamic scholars seem unable to reason when islam is mentioned in relation to violence.

How do catholics teach evolution? Is it not the nonsense "theistic" evolution that they teach rather than evolution?
no sir, not "theistic" evolution, that is for those doing theology, the question of an intelligent cause isn't part of science and so isnt taught.

I also like how you evaded the fact that I nailed your slave azz when you said you saw nothing wrong with a white Jesus (Jesus couldnt have been white)
the colour of Jesus is simply your opinion, it has no basis in fact so i'm not obligated to agree with ur opinion.
