Nigeria seems hopeless and the humanity in Nigerians even more hopeless but there are things that happen around that point otherwise to the above assertions.

While anybody can make mistake in life as there's no one above mistake, this is how my sister mistakenly lost her purse inside a taxi she boarded to the market this morning in Calabar, Cross River state. Of course, anybody would immediately become traumatized losing his/her money in such a manner and definitely, her case wasn't different as she was traumatized and devastated regarding the incident.

The purse had her money (N18,500) and her cell phone inside. Luckily for her and as God would have it, a Nigerian by name Uche (just his first name) picked the purse from the taxi. He said he even showed the purse to the taxi driver and he (the taxi driver) wanted to collect the purse from him claiming he (the taxi driver) knows my sister very well and he's always been the one bringing her to the market when in reality, that's very far from the truth. Uche said it got to a point where he struggled the purse with the taxi driver as he was adamant in handing over the purse to the taxi driver and finally left with the purse.

As a good Nigerian, he opened the purse and started making contacts with people on how to get to my sister to come get her purse back (obviously looks like a dream in today's Nigeria). In no time, my sister ran to me and I called her line which the phone was in the purse. Someone picked which happened to be the said Uche. He directed us to where to meet him and swiftly we went. Brothers and sisters, behold, we met Uche with his colleagues in his place of work. Everything in the purse was still intact and he handed over the purse back to my sister in the presence of his colleagues. In thanking and trying to show appreciation, Uche declined any monetary appreciation and only received the "God bless you" as we were telling him.

This action of Uche has without doubts proven that all hope especially in humanity has not lost in this country. Looking at the present economic hardship in the country, some people would have rushed at this believing it's God that answered their prayer but today's case with Uche, the opposite was the case. My sister and I cannot thank him enough. This is why I want you guys to join in thanking Uche for being a sincere Nigerian and for whose act is rare to come by in today's Nigeria. Please help us thank and appreciate. This is the kind of people we should celebrate in this country.

While Funke was still in traffic, her Aunty called her that she had successfully arrived at London. That is a tip of an iceberg on how horrendous Lagos Traffic is. When I first Entered Lagos, I was to attend an Interview at VI, then I was residing in Ojo. Since I was ignorant of Lagos traffic, I woke up around 6 O'clock to prepare just like every other person's living in other cities will do. But did you know that singular act cost me that Job which I was pretty sure of being selected for because I arrived at the interview venue by 12 pm.

House Rent in Lagos is on the High Side: Unlike other Cities in Nigeria, Lagos is the only City where you will pay for agent and agreement as equal or sometimes higher than your House rent. If you need fresh air in Lagos maybe you might just relocate to Ikorodu or Epe part of Lagos which is currently being hit by high waves of urbanisation.

Lagos is a Dirty City: Although the present Government is trying all it can to keep the City clean but that does not take away the fact that Lagos is one of the dirtiest Cities in Nigeria.

There is too much Noise in Lagos: Yes there is too much Noise in the City. From the Danfo drivers and conductors who rant like a Sallah ram, to Agberos who are vociferously constituting nuisance with their cracked voice, indeed Lagos is very noisy except you live in quiet Estates in luxurious neighbourhoods.

Connecting with the Rich in Lagos is a little bit hard: Unlike in Abuja and other Cities in Nigeria where you can always run into an influential person and you connect with them and possibly exchange contact. That will only happen in Lagos by Devine connection from above. Everybody in the City is very careful because of "Onye ma Onye" (who knows who).

FINALLY
Before you make that move to either relocate to Lagos or to relocate out of Lagos. Just sit down with one bottle of cold Trophy and a plate of Isiewu or Delicious Nkwobi and ask yourself some mind boggling questions that will enable you to make a good decision you will never regret.

Hello guys, so I'm skeptical about this decision I'm about to take, my girlfriend will be joining the next batch of NYSC and I have been thinking of telling her to work it to Lagos.

Truth is, she learned fashion design sometime and she likes modelling for clothing brands and she teaches too, I believe with all of this she stands a chance of getting something tangible in Lagos than going to serve in one village.

My fear is this, (I recently got an accommodation, a single room self contain on the island, haven't even told her yet)
So I need time to plan my future, I'm not fit financially to start fending for someone, if I am then my younger sister should be the one to come over ( though her service year is next year)

But if my gf is to come here, the agreement will be clear and concise, you fend for yourself while I fend for myself, don't worry, the relationship is that defined and she understands.

My reason of wanting to do this for her is cause she has been very nice to me and she has helped me out financially and otherwise in the past though I repaid her.

But guys, my major fear is living with a girl in the same house, won't attachment get serious, what if she gets pregnant? I don't want anything to hinder my plans, I'm 29 actually and I'm not planning to settle down anytime soon.

I read this story and i laughed... i laughed hard because marriage is complex and is often more that what meets the eye.

Do you know the couple's story? They alone, know why they act in the manner they do. Look! how a woman or wife react in marriage is borne more of the input of the husband. What you see is what you get.

Do you think the woman would've reacted the same way, if the man is often of the habit of squandering family cash on irrelevant things, stays away from the house with girlfriends, ignores the wife, does not carry the wife along in major decisions and does not take care of the home?
