PoliticsRe: Do You Think The Nigerian Government Takes The Yorubas Serious by Uchek(m): 8:33am On Apr 25, 2021
Totally agree with you!
T9ksy:
The embolden above is the main thrust of our problem with the fulani owners of nigeria. Yorubas governors (and most traditional leaders inclusive religious clerics) are in the same pit with their igbo counterparts, ditto the SS, middlebelt and NE.

The fulani rulers of Nigeria dispense political and financial powers to those southern politicians who are willing to sell their people for their own personal aggrandizement. Hence why Tinubu, who everyone is well aware of his presidential ambition will ignore his people ignoble predicament, occasioned by so-called fulani herdsmen, to go and spend 50million naira in Kano, to appease his fulani puppet-masters. No one can assume that exalted stool in Aso rock without fulani support.

This is the pure and unadulterated TRUTH about the project called Nigeria,

Arodotally agreeewilliamsT:
You are a smelly liar and a buffoon of the grandest order. A shot was fired at Biafra at garkem with orders taken from yorubaland and you expected the Biafrans to clap for you and dance shoki.
You yorubas had no guts, you were surrounded at all cardinal points by soldiers of the caliphate whom you served(and still do) as slaves.

The Biafran war provided a leeway to cement the south and reclaim illorin from the Sultanate but as cowardly slaves you blew that chance. Your slavery is etched forever in the sand of time. Posterity help you when your children will ask " Daddy why is illorin a yoruba city controlled by an Emir of the sultanate instead of an Oba", i expect you to reply "Son we yorubas are greatest coward in all of mankind, they defeated us without lifting a finger". Just say the truth, just don't lie to the poor child.
PoliticsRe: Ayo Adebanjo: Ojukwu Betrayed Awolowo With The Civil War by Uchek(m): 7:48pm On Apr 17, 2021
This is outright lie. There was no where Ojukwu agreed with Awolowo to pursue the negotiation for federalism.

Why would Ojukwu agree for another negotiation of federalism when Gowon and North had rejected an internationally-negotiated federalism aka Aburi Accord?

Second, Ojukwu did not declare war on Nigeria before Awo could reach his base. Awolowo was already almost two months at his base before the outbreak of the war. And the war was declared by Gowon on July 7, 1967 - not Ojukwu - when he attacked Biafra.

You are HABITUAL AND SHAMELESS LIAR!

Xisnin:
Of course we know.
Ojukwu agreed with Awolowo to pursue negotiation for federalism.
But before Awo could reach his base, Ojukwu had declared war on Nigeria.
Ojukwu's calculation is that the Nigerian government would assume that
Awo was in on the deal and would concentrate the military on the west.

You are HABITUAL AND SHAMELESS LIAR!

If Ojukwu's calculations were correct, the FG would have declared war on the west first
on the wrong pretext that Awolowo's had declared war by aligning with Ojukwu. Thus, paving
a smooth path for secession since the government would be too busy fighting in the west to even
bother retaking the east.

Unfortunately for Ojukwu, his gambit failed and Gowon refused to declare war on the west even though
most of his advisers pressured him to do so.
PoliticsRe: Ojukwu's Letter To Victor Banjo - Biafra Offer Of Help To West by Uchek(m): 7:32am On Apr 12, 2021
Yoruba is incorregible. You are already under the control of foreign troops from Northern Nigeria who refused to return to their region as agreed by the Gowon and the regional governors. Yet you were blind to it.

dionma:
No sensible leader will allow foreign troops on his lands hence the liberators become the oppressor. If you want to help send arms and ammunitions. I know that Ojukwu will never allow the west army on the south east especially in uncertain times when there is war or the threat of war. My take is that the suggestion by Ojukwu will nevervhave workef.

You are 1000% correct!

NigeriaIsZOO:
When delusions is mixed with ignorance and morbid fear, this is the sort of paranoia it yields.

According to this dude, no world power or black movement wants Nigeria to break and they will lobby against it.

He also claimed that no Igbo industrialist would want Nigeria to break and he gave examples of Innoson and Peace Airlines.

Now, to burst your bubble, no one cares about Nigeria because they have become disgusted with what the country has become. Even blacks globally and Africans are disgusted at Nigeria and the embarrassment it brings to them. So they won't give a ratass seeing it broken up! Same applies to the West, what has the huge size of Nigeria done to help its people or even the subregion? We have continued to remain an exporter of terrorism in the subregion! Within the country, they continue to watch as their sensibilities get assaulted each passing day with mass killings and destruction all over the country! Joe Biden and Kamela Harris called leaders across the world, including African leaders but just like Obama and Trump overlooked Nigeria, they ignored Nigeria. So why are you still deluded that Nigeria worths anything in their eyes above the sh1thole status Trump accorded it?

You stated that Innoson is successful because Nigeria is a huge country, really? How many of his vehicles has the federal government bought? How many of it has state governments outside the SE and SS bought? Sierra Leone, Ghana and Niger among others that have purchased Innoson vehicles, are they part of Nigeria? Don't you know that Innoson will even become far more successful under Biafra considering that Biafran government won't think twice before making it our national vehicle? Don't you know the Biafran government will passionately lobby other countries in WA to patronize Innoson?

Again you mentioned Peace Airlines, now how exactly has the Nigerian government done to help Peace Airlines? Nothing! The airlines will definitely do better under Biafra because the government will give it all the support it needs without bias. Rwanda airlines, Ethiopian airlines, Kenya airlines etc that are doing well in Africa, are their countries huge? Who are those mostly patronizing Peace Airlines? Igbos! Do other tribes have any options? No! Under Biafra, Peace Airlines would most definitely become one of the best airlines in Africa!

We Igbos are 100% better off as Biafrans than Nigerians and we are leaving the contraption!

You don't have to wonder. YORUBAS don't and never learn from history - not at all. That's the real tragedy of tje Yoruba of Nigeria.

butterfly777:
These things bring to mind one of the most tragic incidents in Yoruba history: the collaboration of Afonjas, a Yoruba warlord, with Alimi, a Fulani man, against the Yoruba empire. It ended in tears.

Alimi joined Afonjas in destroying his own nation which was the famous Oyo Empire. The northerners then proceeded to destroy Afonjas himself, and enthrone Fulanis as the rulers of Ilorin which is a Yoruba kingdom. They are still the emirs of Ilorin till this day.

I wonder if we learn from history at all.

What Yoruba want is Oodua Republic, not Presidency of Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Osita Chidoka: Awolowo Was Unforgiving, Introduced Ethnic Politics To Nigeria by Uchek(m): 4:55pm On Mar 27, 2021
How could Awolowo love the Igbo nation after participating in military dictatorship that waged a war that slaughtered millions of Igbos even though had the chance to stop the war by rejecting Gowon's Greek gift of political appointment and supporting Ojukwu's "ON ABURI WE STAND"?

Ndigbo making money in Yorubaland has nothing to do with Yoruba but the post-Biafra official policy that centralized the commanding heights of the Nigeria in Yorubaland - particularly Lagos.

MightySparrow:
Awolowo loved Igbo nation more than Ojukwu and Zik. Today, Igbos fare better in Yorubaland than their land in South East. They make money in Yorubaland and other parts to attend August meeting and December to do iyanga. Many have even forgotten home as they are becoming councillors, House of Representatives members in Yorubaland. Chidoka should join many grateful Biafrans to appreciate Awolowo. RIp, Awo of the Universe. Anytime you hear from the great beyond the ranting of some misguided IPOBians, smile and forgive their ignorance.

The Northerners that actually killed Igbos in their thousands on multiple occasions are really not the Igbo man concern. They will always find a way to rope in Yoruba to their misfortune.

Using your logic of argument, why didn't Yoruba allow us to settle our score with Northerners in the Nigeria-Biafra War? Why did you join our killers who killed Igbos in their thousands to kill us in our millions. More Igbos died from the civil war policies ( food blockage and change of currency) hatched in Awolowo's mind than on battlefields.

Iegendhero:

In 1953 when Northern Nigerians were beginning to consider secession from the Nigerian colony that would soon be a nation, Nnamdi Azikiwe gave a speech before the caucus of his political party, the National Council of Nigeria and the Cameroons (NCNC) in Yaba, Nigeria on May 12, 1953. That speech, while not disallowing secession, suggested that there would be grave consequences if the Northern region became an independent nation. Ironically, fourteen years later, Azikiwe led his Eastern Region out of Nigeria and created Biafra, a move that prompted a bloody three year civil war. Azikiwe’s 1953 speech appears below.

Trash!

AlexBells:
We are not going to make threats of war, We are both capable of annihilating ourselves, but friendship is far from It.

We are both super power tribes in our own Right, while the Igbos in this regards are more like US, Yorubas are like China, this is not on slotting who is more powerful, I'm more on the reality of undermining.

While Igbos are more liberal, Yorubas are more conservative, then apart from all that, our elders have had a history of undermining each other and it need remain so, just Yesterday Doyen Okupe had thrown a Jab on the Igbos by bringing some classic rhetoric and just this morning Osita Chidoka had retaliated by lambasting Yorubas political Sage Obafemi Awolowo.

In all these it a clear evidence that both Yoruba and Igbo will live in mutual respect not friendship in a regional Nigeria or as sovereigns. We will still accuse each other on who imported the bio weapons in our each borders. Even when we both knows the truth we will like to hip the blame on the other.

Our two tribe suspicion could make or mare the continent, but as for us Igbos, the Yorubas remains the tribe we respect the most in the whole of Africa but you see friendship, we will choose even Fulanis as friends before choosing Yorubas. It just can't work we are natural adversaries, thank God at least we are a little far from each other.

Who would have believed that Yoruba would one day want Nigeria to break up. The same Yoruba that sided Fulani and MB to sabotage Biafra now wants Oduduwa. To love injustice is so bad. I still am awed with the paradox. Their love for free crude oil seems to have been minified by the blood of their people. So they now know that killing of one's kinsmen is enough reason to agitate for one's own country. But when Igbo were killed in the north, Igbo should not have wanted out of Nigeria. What goes around comes around. Anyway sha, I still will never take them serious because everything is politics to them.
