am not going to judge though but every public figure should be careful what they do in private especially when they are things they can't be proud of |

every marriage will always have its ups and down even if both parties love each other. their love story and how they got married is an open book known to all and sundry and from all indications, the guy is willing to make it work.Left for me I'll advice he sorts out their differences cos a divorce at this stage of their marriage is not advisable due to the fact that a baby is involved and the child needs the undivided attention and solid love of both parents. divorce is not something I would advice any young couple, celeb or no celeb cos the one who suffers low self esteem psychological imbalance is the child.Anyone who is close to the couple should help settle their differences and let them no dwell in the impression that its a "modern world" and so anything(even divorce) is obtainable. |
The South East APC should not just be asking the senate to accept a proposal that they know nothing about but they should sort out the underlying problem that led to its rejection in the first place |
PMB should have proffered detailed explanation of what the proposed loan will be used for and not merely sending a proposal for it to be validated by the Senate. unfortunately,he got a different and shocking result. This further explains the political problems affecting the APC which PMB should sort out and address greviances cos its continues media denial by APC will not help their party. my assertion is based on the fact that APC controls senate majority and the pr resident should have a soft landing anytime he comes to the upper chamber just the same way David Mark pamperd GEJ. Also, the senate did not even allow the proposal to be subject to any debate as opined by Dino me late but instead an abrupt voice vote of a thunderous "nah" followed. I don't support the procurement of that loan but my submission is that the rejection by the Senate was not out of patriotism but a political vendetta. So,PMB should as a matter of concern, mend fences cos no matter what he wants to do and how good it may seeem, politics can never be separated from governance and what is playing out now is not development politics but partisan politics. |
his base logic for the judgement is good and if the defendants do not agree, they can take it to the appeal court. nevertheless,Stella Ngwu is a force to reckon with in Nsukka politics,so I wonder why she would need to tamper with delegates list to emerge winner. |
there's more to this drama than we know |
by the definition of "a married man",its obviously known to be a man who has a woman he cares for and sees his vision coming together to build a family. So there is nothing with him telling his wife what he earns because it will make her more Equitable and able to manage their family resource especially when he earns little and it will also enable them plan for the future together |
codemaniacs:I don't just believe it but I know so because it was glaring during the Enugu massacre and the point you made about sharia police does not hold water cos it's a religious security outfit empowered by sharia law which is a prerogative right of our northern states. so it's a different ball game altogether and also the law mandates the commissioner of police answerable to the governor who is the C.S.O of the state and a subsequent clause says in that section of the law states that the same commissioner of police is answerable to the central government. that clash shows you FG grip on security apparatus, hence, the reason for PMB's intervention. |
trumps biggest mistake is been trump himself |
tete7000:yeah.i know but I used the word kangaroo because of the manner of the arrest. |
the basic function of every government is to provide security for its citizens and ensure law and order. this responsibility does not entirely rest on a particular legislative list and can therefore be said to be partly a government and state responsibility. I think the reason the onus lies on the federal government is that they control the countries security apparatus and every move made by the states is still subject to federal scrutiny |
he judge who was in charge of the trial of the
erstwhile NS since the day he was docked before the
Federal High Court in Abuja, announced his withdrawal at
the resumed sitting on the matter on Tuesday.
Addressing the open court, Justice Ademola anchored his
decision to hands-off the case on the recent clampdown of
some judges by the DSS.
He said the DSS, whose investigation culminated into the
criminal charge before him, specifically accused him while
in custody that he collected “huge sums of money” from
Dasuki.
However, before he disqualified himself from the trial,
Justice Ademola engaged Dasuki who listened attentively
from the dock, in a question and answer session.
The Judge began: “I am sure the prosecution and defence
counsel in this matter are conversant with what has been
going on in the last seven days, in this country.
“One of the allegations being made against me by the
Department of State Security is that I received certain
sums of unspecified money from the defendant.
“Of course, I have responded to that allegation of receiving
an unspecified sums of money from the defendant but it
will be wise for him to answer some questions.”
He then looked at Dasuki and asked: “Do you know me at
all or have come in contact with me?
“No I don’t know you my Lord” Dasuki responded.
“Did you at any time give me money in respect of the on
going trial?
“No, my Lord, I didn’t give you any money”, Dasuki replied
“Did you send any money to me; to any member of my
family; or through any counsel?”, the Judge further queried.
“No, my Lord, except maybe the DSS agents who are
reporting the allegation did”, Dasuki who was visible
displeased answered.
Directing his gaze at the prosecution counsel, Justice
Ademola said: “I am happy that the defendant has
answered these questions. In the interest of fair hearing, I
am minded to return the case file to the Chief Judge of the
Federal High Court for further action”.
Neither the prosecuting counsel, Mr Dipo Okpeseyi, SAN,
nor the defence lawyer, Mr. Adedayo Adedeji raised issue
against the decision of the judge.
The prosecution counsel Okpeseyi SAN, said: “We are
guided by your Lordship’s decision, even though we had
come here today for a ruling and continuation of trial”.
The defence lawyer said the judge took the right step in
view of recent happenings.
While refusing Okpeseyi’s request for an adjournment to
enable the parties to meet with the CJ on the way forward,
Justice Ademola ruled:
“This court is minded to transfer this case to the Chief
Judge. The defendant has vehemently denied in open court
today, the allegation made by the DSS.
“Therefore, this case file has been returned to the CJ in line
with principle of fair hearing.
“This criminal matter has been adjourned to another date
as may be fixed by the new judge”.
The charge pending against Dasuki before the court
borders on money laundering and his alleged illegal
possession of firearms.
FG had in the charge before the court, alleged that Dasuki
was on July 17, 2015, at his house situated at No. 13,
John Khadiya Street, Asokoro, Abuja, found to be in
possession of various range of firearms without requisite
license, an offence punishable under section 27 (1)(a) of
the Firearms Act Cap F28 LFN 2004.
He was accused of retaining the sums of $40,000,
N5millon and another $20,000 in the same house and
same date, contrary to section 15 (2)(d) of Money
Laundering Prohibition Act 2011.
FG further alleged that the ex-NSA had on July 16, 2015, at
his residence at Sultan Abubakar Road and Sabon Birni
Road, Sokoto State, retained another $150,000 and
N37.6m being part of proceedings of unlawful act,
contrary to Section 15 (3) of the Money Laundering Act
2011.
It listed the alleged illegal arms it found at Dasuki’s
residence in Abuja as five Tavor Assault Rifles, 1 Macro
Uzi with serial No 60244(Rifle), 20 magazines
(Ammunition), 1 packet of MOD (Ministry of Defence) APG
calibre gun, Luger No 033375 ( gun), small magazine
containing 16 rounds of ammunition, and bigger magazine
containing live rounds of ammunition.
Justice Ademola had in a ruling he delivered on April 19,
rejected FG’s request to try Dasuki secretly.
The judge said he would not bar lawyers and accredited
Journalists from observing the proceeding in order the
shield identities of 11 witnesses, mostly DSS operatives,
billed to testify against Dasuki.
He noted that FG earlier supplied names and addresses of
the witnesses in processes before the court, a document
he said was already in the public domain.
The Judge said there was no evidence indicating that the
life of any of the witnesses was being threatened in any
way, stressing that the defendant was not charged for acts
of terrorism.
Dasuki who was NSA to former President Goodluck
Jonathan has been in detention since November 3, 2015.
Though Justice Ademola gave him bail on self recognition,
operatives of the DSS rearrested the ex-NSA at the
entrance to Kuje Prison in Abuja, on December 29, 2015,
immediately he perfected bail conditions handed to him by
two different court |
this kangaroo approach to justice by the DSS is really an eyesore and a debt to Nigeria's democratic system. whichever way you try to look at it,the manner if that arrest was uncalled for and with all the media evidence surrounding the arrest,it calls to question if there was any evidence at all. only time will tell as justice Dimgba has come out to state his own side of the story.Only God knows between the DSS and the judges who will have the last laugh. |
Topgainer:I beg to differ because 1 corinthians 7:39 makes it clear that the only time a woman can remarry is if the husband is dead and also mark 10:10-12 supports it as well..1 corinthians 7:10-11 also stated that in the event of the woman leaving the husband(divorce), she shouldn't marry.in any case we can say divorce as a concept has no biblical condemnation but it's the issue of Re marrying which is what am not in support of. |
am a political fan of Barr Sullivan chime and ike ekweremadu but in this issue,i beg to differ with the Dsp.its a general knowledge that as far as governance in Enugu is concerned for the past 18 years or so,sullivan has been the governor who stood out in terms of infrastructural development, security, and a whole lot.it is also a general knowledge that the focal point of his administration had been urban and rural development.we all know that it's been a tug of war between sullivan and ekweremadu since last year when the former opted to run for senate. its also known that the current governor is in a cold war with his predecessor, hence the political alignment and endeared friendship between the governor and ekweremadu and consequently this expected bashing that was uncalled for. However,he is right that aninri barely experienced state govt presence as the only thing I know they got was a commissioner for education and one capital project where the then government provided electricity to the LGA. nevertheless, it still doesn't take away the fact that he was and still is(ugwuanyi is still in office) the best governor, Enugu had. the deputy presidents statement does not in any way and will not in any way wipe out what he has achieved as governor and I see this statement of his not as a true or sincere rebuke as this is actually the first time he is ever bringing up such an issue and even when they were buddies till last year,he never complained. this to me us just a political confrontation. |
I do not claim to know the bible but I believe that the sanctity of marriage holds a supreme preference in God's scale, little wonder he said it is till death do them part and my take is that the bible is against it and whoever divorces and remarries, hath committed adultery.shes a pastor and should know better |

well articulated speech, your excellency.i live your regard and respect for tinubu as far as the yoruba nation is concerned.in the area of politics, it becomes a different ball game together |
Mr president, it's about time you quit making this statement about your wife's role been solely in the kitchen.it gives a myopic impression that the presiding officer of this country called nigeria does not understand the effective role of women in national affairs and not just a woman but the first lady of nigeria.please desist from this caricature statement no matter how funny it sounds.at this time, women all over the world are fighting profusely to achieving gender equality, such a statement calls to question your governments ideology on the issue of women development. |
I don't see anything epic about this reply. humor me |

quiet sad tale for Gen fajuyi.been caught in the web..unfortunately,the first coup was conspicuously likened as an Igbo coup and somehow the allegation holds sway as there has been reports by a lieutenant then by name Jeremiah useni claimed to ve heard Igbo officers talk about annihilating hausa officers, which is just an accusation...that coup is the bloodiest coup in history and was all for a perceived ethnic vengance. surprisingly, the hausa we're the first tribe dat demanded secession which was one of the principal aim of the coup...I hope we learn from d past and c dat ethnicity will continue to be the thing line separating every tribe in this country from unity. |
all these hide and seek accusations and counter accusations doesn't speak well of the legislative arm of government. I think everyone whose name is mentioned in this issue is as guilty as the lead defendant,Hon Jibrin.its simply a case of a shady deal gone bad,so,someones head needs to be on the spike and take the fall.this definitely is just the beginning. |
kennygee:i will pardon your ignorance but Learn it today that those aforementioned names are not tribal names but English names. |
Lovexme:pls, how can You change the imei to bb? |
the point is that there is no articulate cut out path that Nigeria can say the government is headed. we seem to be in a confused state. thats why buhari is been bashed. i think fayose's criticism is on point |
Nonybb:speak for yourself and not generalize and drag ethnicity into this issue. the issue between saraki and buhari is an intra party conflict that pdp is cashing on which is a gud political strategy. this is not ethnic.. #nwafor |

thomasthomas:please i do not live in aba, u misinterpreted that part, i was referring to SE. I live in enugu and there are over a 100+ places here in enugu with pipe borne water from the government. here alone at obiagu, the taps are running and the same with many other places. go to ebonyi state, they ve portable pipe borne water but That has been quarantined due to communal clashes that left dead bodies in the major source of water flow at ezeilo. talking about hospital, aside the private hospitals in Nigeria, every state has 3 hospitals thr federal, state and military hospitals and unth Enugu is the only hospital in Nigeria where heart surgery is done, so wat hospital in kaduna are u now comparing it with. yes, i ve not travelled the 36 states as u said u ve but Travelling does not mean you ve perfect knowledge of wat u are saying cos A traveller only has a limited time to stay. facts about a place are not deduced within a persons 1 month stay at a place. |

Did she complain that she doesn't have a husband?
