Taking about bridge our politicians are doing it well as it is supposed to be, you don't play propaganda about it. You could remember we gov. Okezie Ikeazu made some visits to the north and west including sokoto. Some relief materials were sent to borno state by umahi and many more. So you see it's not about bridges but factors which include internal and external once, and some of it you have identified especially on the youths.

@Ugik I would have shared your sentiments if you had avoided your Okorocha emotional higgi hagga. You divided your supposed not politically wise Igbo into the once that love this and the once that love that because of okorocha.Just Remove okorocha then you will get answers. You can't run others down and expect to be great unless you live in delusions. I wish to read ur response.
am not emotional about him, infact judging from what I read in the media, his popularity in his home town seems to be on the decrease. Nevertheless, he is not all bad news.so am not saying we should build bridges with
okorocha or follow him but we should learn from the dynamism
of his politics even if we don't like him or not

Okorocha is only acknowledging to us where his solidarity and origin is and we have understood his message and has condemned him for that.

We will build bridges with whom the Igbos are pleased with not the likes of okorocha.

Its such a shame dat after all our effort exposing and letting folks like you kno the hatred for Igbos is deap seated. Its worrisome dat folks like you who should know better actually dont or chose not to. . But chose a part not in sync with your society. . . How can u be proud of rochas asslicking wen he couldn't grab ambassodorial seat for his state. Have you been to Imo recently. . D Federal roads re on another level of bad.

So tell me wat is his politics. . How can u praise the politics of a man who is politically irrelevant outside his state. Shoukd we say select place in his state.....

Pls i dey shame for dis write up
what makes him politically irrelevant outside his state?someone who is the chairman of APC governors forum.how does that translate to irrelevance? someone who has a traditional title with the sokoto caliphate is irrelevant?someone who was part of the presidential entourage to see Obama is irrelevant? I don't want to hold brief for Rochas cos I know in IMO,it hasn't been all rosy for him but the underlying point is that he has carved a niche for himself political wise and this niche encompass the whole of our polity and that is what Ndi igbo should be doing and not been abysmal when they can simply politick issues.
If your only example of Rocha's irrelevance is the ambassadorial list issue, that is an internal wrangling that affected the entire APC governors of which Rochas is the one mediating on the issue and that is a true definition of national relevance.

RomanceI Love You:more Than Just A Sentence by Ugik(op): 4:04pm On Nov 06, 2016
I Love You!!!
Pretty coded words to say yet sooo easy to let loose out of one's mouth. Words that carry grave meaning to the person it's said to rather than the one who utters it. Often times these words tend to spread and feel our lips like the sweet taste of vanilla melting through your mouth and shooting straight into your intestines. Words which has healed soo many souls, Yet wrecked soo many hearts.
Too bad it's mostly said when things are pretty smooth, when the guy you just met happens to be the sweetest of all your dates or the relationship has been all roses and no thorns. Words Which You said when he had the resources and was ever ready to give you the stars at your command, when the girl who just said yes to your proposal happens to have made your life worth living on, or when you stand at that altar and possibly see them glowing at the prospect of starting a life long journey with you....
"I LOVE YOU"; words some got to hear last when they were probably asked to kiss the bride, feed the groom or probably during the couples dance on their wedding day. Words which were always said when He finally got the promotion and always came back home with His hands filled with gifts and suddenly ceased to be heard after he lost his job and the bank took over his assets. Some are lucky enough to hear it till the birth of their first born or later again when they finally give birth to a male child. AND some are entirely fortunate and blessed to see their children hear it and feel it for the rest of their PARENTS LIVES...
May Our Words especially these words be a reflection of our true heart, may it be guided not solely by our personal desires, reasons, selfishness, expectations and suitability. Let it always be heard, said and guided by the biblical and our moral injunction **Do unto others what you would love others to do unto You** and **Love your neighbor as you love yourself and Even as your heavenly Father have loved You** Let it be an. Unconditional Love that can withstand any season {not just the rainy but also the dry}**

PoliticsGovernor Okorochas Politics And The Ignorance Of Ndi Igbo by Ugik(op): 3:54pm On Nov 06, 2016
I stand to say that those calling for Gov Okorochas head boils down to the level of political ignorance among my southeast brothers which is quite alarming. suffix it to say that for Ndi igbo to attain full political recognition among the various entities that make up this polity called Nigeria is going to be a Herculean task due to 2 basic reasons:
1.considering the supposed marginalization we have been lamenting since after the Nigerian Biafra war of 1967 and the abysmal gap it has created between us and other zones in the country. This singular act which is is politically valid as politics is a game of who gets what but in the process of making demands we end up antagonizing other regions who do not share our views instead of dialoging and politicking as our representatives do,we the masses instead throw insults at them or at our fellow regional brothers thus bringing us back to square one.The likes of Ngige,Onu,Rocha's and the DSP,Ekweremadu are all fighting for our general wellbeing but like I said earlier all we do is insult them all.Must they be in the same party? Is their primary aim not to bring development to this region using their good offices?

2.The Biafra connection: Secession is recognized globally as a right of people to self rule.its also recognized in the UN Charter and I have no objections to it but I must also point out that if a referendum is conducted,I'll gladly vote against it.Many of us(not all of us)want to secede. Good and fine. how do you go about it?by throwing jabs at other regions who have reps at The Senate, the very Senate that can amend law to accommodate our proposal. isn't it funny we are yet to understand the rudiments of politics. do we achieve our aim by throwing insults at our political leaders who have the mandate of majority? or by insulting world leaders who played a role in the defeat of the secession and who will still play a role in any event that will unfold but their role will be determined by the political calculations they make based on what those who want to secede brings on the table. They helped Egypt,Libya, south Sudan and Israel.

Where do we go from here? Ndi igbo, most especially the youths must imbibe developmental politics, its high time we spread tentacles and offer an olive branch to. the regions we are at logger heads with..we must understand our differences and address it.We must support our leaders irrespective of political divide and quit all these blame games.Partisan politics and ethnic politics is not favouring us and will not.we can engage in partisan politics during elections but after elections, support our political leaders irrespective of political divide.
with development politics, other regions may help foster a referendum on this issue of referendum, friendship will spread overboard.
That's why those calling for Okorochas head because he wore a northern regalia are simply not in touch with reality.am not holding brief for him or APC because i dont know how well he is doing in Imo State but I love how he is spreading his political tentacles which is what Ndi Igbo needs now and not our usual politics of ethnicity where the various eastern states insult themselves. Together We can all speak with one voice.

CelebritiesChidinma Okeke:lesbianism And Nigerians Hypocrisy by Ugik(op): 2:38pm On Nov 06, 2016
I have been on the sideline, attentively observing this issue since the amorous video of ex anambra beauty queen,Chidinma Okeke raged like wild fire in the Nigerian media. Its been different strokes for different folks cos while the nigerian bloggers are having a merry xmas with the traffic they generate to their blogs just for providing download links to the video thereby enabling them smile to the bank, the market women on the otherhand are not finding it funny as sales of the almighty "cucumber"has gone down. This is because 80% of the people who buy this wonderful fruit are women and they have distanced themselves from its purchase in the market for fear of been labelled Cucumber mistress by the general public..considering the current issues of Miss okeke,am really feeling sorry for her considering the emotional and psychological trauma she must be going through at the moment. I think the best that can be done for her now is the support of her family cos they come first. personally, she owes no one any apology considering the fact that we all express our sexual feelings based on our views concerning our sexuality and attraction. Am not saying I support Gay neither am I saying its bad.I just have a liberal view on the subject even though my religion forbids it. If I were her,I would quit beating around the bush and come out clean but since our constitution abhors gay sex,the rule of law will surely prevail on her and 14years awaits her. my candid advice is if she is still in Nigeria, she should seek asylum or stay and face the full force of the law. If she is a Christian, the Bible authoritatively makes it clear on God's stand on the issue but who am I to judge when am no better..Finally,based on what the father mutterd in the interview he granted,I think the family ain't giving her the best support she needs at this moment and they are unarguably what she needs right now. Having read what people from all works of life (big and small) have written and said about her, I think fellow that indulge in fornication, adulterey, stealing ,masturbation, incest, etc should remove the log in their eyes before removing the speck in someone else eye.It really baffles me the extent of our hypocrisy and instead of constructive criticism and analysis of the issue, every tom, dick and harry is screaming crucify her.I guess we all have to wait and see how this issue. unfolds.

RomanceAnd She Fell In Love With A Married Man by Ugik(op): 2:19pm On Nov 06, 2016
He Was really nice, young and had Just saved Her Life. Her Mum was pleased to finally Meet Him, Dad was glad that He was a Believer Like Him, Sis was Happy She finally Changed Her Mind about guys, relationship and even marriage, and was happy She decided to have a real relationship instead of her cold flings (as mum calls it). Bro didn't really like Him at first but when He saw how happy He made Her, he relaxed and decided to be happy for Her newly found butterflies.

It was too good to be true, things were happening soo fast and He was more than a fairytale come to pass. Mum was already fixing wedding dates, Dad was calling the Umunna, Sis was already telling all her friends about her brother-in-law to be and Bro was preparing himself for his first family wedding. But then It dawned on Her that as much as he tried to make her happy, She wasn't really happy and felt something was wrong. His family was welcoming, his sister was annoyingly sweet and his brothers were amazing . Yet, something was missing, a shadow lurked somewhere, some stories didn't fit, names were mismatched. Yes, she had a hunch and something was wrong.

Confrontations didn't help, trust was broken, belief was shattered, behaviours changed, denial was uptight and ever ready to show its face. Her Hunch was ever right and ever strong. Then the calls started diminishing, the magic words which once melted and yet strengthened hearts now sounded feeble, fainty and like a mockery to Her very own existence, the only thing left was lust, an insatiable desire to quilt and hide Her innermost insecurity, it was no more love making than It was a one night stand or a convenience hook up to Her. Feelings were detached, He denied the shadows existence, blamed it on family and called HER a stalker. Fingers which were once pointed at now became the pointer, silence became the order of the day, horniness became their only reason for knowing what love was left of them. Her heart which once loved, now felt irritated.

Family's heart was to be considered, She shivered at the thought of telling mum that Her daughter was right about relationships and marriage yet again, hate to tell dad that the believer was a fine deceiver, bereaved to tell bro that She finally learnt to trust but now it's crushed and can never trust again. She couldn't bear the thought of telling sis that her little romance novels will always be in Her Head and never in her life. All had to be concealed for their sake, and Pretense had to set in. A make-believe for those who still needed to believe.

Life was easier after that, no more rants about how She'll end up being a spinster all Her life, no more guesses about Her sexual orientation (lesbian, Bisexual or straight like a normal girl). Still the shadow lurked, denials were still in the air but this time Her heart had given up already, it no longer cared, as it just laid in wait for the right time to leave. Then It came, the shadow finally showed it's face, this time it was a wedding video and She was never invited. Her heart was finally grateful, and as always, Her hunch was right. It could now walk away freely with a good story, that the one it once cared for was deep into another.
The Believer went back to his vomit. Having ran out of strings to twist, he swallowed his words as Denial which was once his best man was out of his reach. He never got the reaction he expected from Her, he was humbled by her calmness and shocked at her humor as She bid him goodbye and wished him well.

Truth Is, Her pain was over, Her Heart was Glad and settled, It was finally at Peace. Now She can tell Mom the story without them feeling she walked out again on a good man. She was at peace knowing that she tried to make it work, fulfilled knowing once again that All paths never led to the same direction. Now she can live her life with all she learnt. She has no fear about loving, because she knows she'll always love but never in the way Her family and society expects, and celebrates those who have and still aspire to. Her trust is once again with Her, Her Life is back again, Love to her is to be seen and expressed everyday with no fixed attachments.

Yeah, She dated a Married Man, She brought Him into her Family and He had dined with them. Strangely, She didn't feel betrayed, she didn't feel stupid, She only felt Peace, Gratitude and Happiness Once again. She finally got her life back. A life free of doubts, Heartaches, unending brainstorming and puzzles. Now She has To live For Herself, Her Dreams and All She holds Dear to Her existence...

laudate:
Do you realise that there are quite a number of Niger-Delta indigenes that already own oil blocks? How has the ownership benefited their people? It is one thing to be allocated an oil block, and another thing to be able to put together adequate technical & financial resources to prospect for crude, undertake exploration activities and recover oil in commercial quantity. undecided

The idea that if oil blocks are awarded to ND indigenes, it would lead to a transformation of their communities and people, is negated by the reality on the ground and rooted in fallacy. sad Their mentality needs to change first, while the principle of accountability needs to be entrenched.

Have you ever tried to carry out a project in the Niger-Delta before? Then you must have parted with some hard cash which would run into thousands or hundreds of thousands, before your project can take off. Such fees are called 'Community Development Fees' or Deve, for short. These communities collect such funds from all & sundry on a regular basis. Have they ever used it to develop their communities. Capital NO. Have they ever used it to educate their people? For where??! shocked

Now they are asking for oil block. Biko, let me laugh in Chinese first! cheesy

This is really not the best of times for Gov Mimiko cos this single act coupled with the problems of the PDP is giving the impression that PDP as a party cannot fight or push for elections in on do with one mind. This is definitely going to affect the psych of voters to swing their votes to a party(APC or AD) that has a collective forefront and stable management now that the election is. around the corner..
Nobody will go to the market to buy a spoilt product and unfortunately, political wise, PDP is selling itself as a party with disorganization, disunity and division. and that is what may mar their chances cos the On do electorates may not buy what they are selling. I think Niger delta is beginning to understand the core rudiments of politics.for long they
(Niger delta) and also my south East brothers have been playing partisan politics where differences are set aside and party affiliation becomes the rudiment for political support. Now,Niger delta is playing development politics where differences are ironed out and addressed. The call for oil bloc ownership is a welcome initiative as it forms part of resource allocation. But the focal point is if it will be a private or joint community ownership.Whichever way it goes, its a plus to the region and a step in the right direction.
