Answer question.
I just can relate with an average Igbo woman culturally (especially the ones who were born and raised in the SouthEast)

I just can't deal with it, that's all.

The oriaku mentality, the general way of reasoning and the world view of the women is not compatible with me or that of family.

both my parents are Igbo, but just like me, they were not born , neither did they spend like a considerable time there, so you can see that with that, the mentality differ grin

That's just how I can put it for you

It's much wider in scope, but thAt just a picture.

You people are an ignorant bunch, (this includes 2buffagain) all you do is focus on the poor blacks in America (you never criticize the poor whites who have an advantage for their skin color alone) while being blind to the poor in your country. Why don't you build your country and stop running to other countries to make a better life for yourselves? For your information (you seem to lack intelligence) there are black American doctors, lawyers, engineers, scientist, professors, dentist, physicists, bankers, entrepreneurs, and more(the op will never tell you this because he is trying to paint you a false picture of black America) but you are too full of hate to see beyond your prejudices. Have you even stepped a foot in America? By the way, what is a nigger?
and just so you know, black communities ACROSS THE WORLD ARE IN A MESS. Most of them.

So don't think because you are a black American, you are on a pedestal

Black neighbourhoods are known for a certain reputation (not all neighbourhoods, but a whole lot)

Just so you know, it's black Americans(descendents) like y'all that runs Liberia, and Liberia today is one of the worst run down countries in the world, with a $hithole status, so no chip over anyone shoulder

Black communities in Europe (especially ones filled with Jamaicans) aren't much better

Then African communities (oh lawd) is equally in a mess.

African Americans (and Africans in general) need to step up, and quit being foolish and silly

A good number of African Americans feel they are better than Africans and act conferencing towards them (you know this, so don't even deny) which is fking stupid

A good number of Africans also feel that they are better than Afro Americans (which is also stupid)

What they don't realize is that in America (and the world) we are all seem THE SAME

In America, the color of your skin COULD expose you to racial profiling, no matter where you come from
Diallo was killed and he was from the carib.

Before you open your mouth, the color of your skin has said a whole lot already,

I never said there are no black successful people

I have black Americans as in laws and friends and some are doing just fine, while one is in jail, and another still in school in Savannah.

The topic on ground are the RATCHET BLACK FOLKS

not all black folks are ratchet, but a good number are, and its unfortunate.

I'm a well travelled person, that's all ill tell you
I can bet that i have been to more countries and places than even you, but I'm not trippin

We have white trash too (dem plenty for deep south) but the topic on hand are ratchet black folks.

Section 8 has it's own part too in this mess.

There is now an incentive to have fatherless kids and the govt (and the unfortunate father) will reward you for it.

So why be useful in life, when you can have four kids from three different men and get the "benefits"

What these niggers fail to realize (and it's a common trait amongst blacks worldwide to not think long term) is that these actions will have serious consequences in future in our community.

To cut them some slack tho, mass incarceration also played its part.

There is 400 years of separation between the not-so-desirable Black American woman and the Nigerian desirable.

During those centuries, America built it's prosperity by practically wiping out an entire race and zombiezing them into the mental state of The Living Dead.

If we are attracted to America's prosperity, we have to understand that Black Americans fought slavery, fought Jim Crow laws and fought for Civil Rights to make America conducive for us to emigrate into.

I am not asking anyone to be attracted to the ungroomed large-tattooed "badly brought-up" incoherently-dictioned sort. But at least, be empathic as you maintain your safe distance. Their minds are being damaged by a school curriculum and broadcast media that tells them that they are a Nobody in History, so they are living out that classification.
Making excuses for these pathetic lot.

Even during the brutal era of Jim Crow, black folks were not this useless in America.
the men were largely responsible, and had families that they fought for.
we had black doctors, engineers, lawyers, we had Thurgood Marshall and the list is endless.

If they did not crack during the jim crow era, why is the family unit in that sub culture done for after Civil rights? huh

They are the ones damaging themselves (along with Section 8 too)

No excuses biko.

Black folks were equakkt dehumanized in Africa by colonialists, so its not as if we as Africans had it rosy either.

I would have taken your closing seriously if I did not read your whole post.

The earlier you realize that:

Irresponsible fathers + angelic mothers = awesome families and children

Is an unstable model, the better for you. Most of the women in that model were miserable and warned their daughters not to make the mistakes they did and this is the fallout today.

I know a woman who missed it in marriage and hounds the youths to never to do so. Quizzes the girls so hard that they know they can't fail her. Outside, you would see a loving wife to an irresponsible husband; inside, you would she is biting her fingers daily.

Instead of you to tell me to brace up (you pointed out their irresponsibility), you want women to continue enduring in pain.

We have passed that stage and like I always say, good husbands + good wives would make good homes irrespective of what the society is like.

Happy new year.
you have said it all.

Where in the US do also live? Your environment can/may also affect your experience.

When a Nigerian man who has lived in a western country for a long time comes back home to marry a stranger, if you observe closely, you'll notice that it is a trend that is common with the uneducated ones (you can be schooled and still be uneducated). Even though these folks have lived in an advanced society for long, they are not refined and classy enough to attract women from their host countries. It is classical case of taking a monkey out of the jungle, but you can not take the jungle out of the monkey (purely proverbial, no pun intended). These men want or perhaps, desire women that subscribe to the patriarchal order of man above the woman, and becoming her saviour.

Of all the educated Nigerians (And largely Africans) that I know of, the ones doing good jobs and that have fully integrated tends to date and marry women from their host country, and of those that prefer to marry within their culture, they marry other immigrants in their host countries. For this men, dating women from their host country eliminate potential risk as being used as a vehicle out of her country, and the partner over dependency on them financially, and by extension, her family as well.

My observations.
you hAve noticed the trend too.
