Just crazy determination and discipline... That's true tho With determination and a good diet, one can lose weight and look good. Politics › Re: Bukola Saraki On Midland FM In Kwara by Ugosample(m): 7:27pm On Dec 25, 2018 |
DTaj: The guy is obviously feeling the heat!
In his career in Kwara politics, this is the first time Bukola Saraki had ever embarked on a roller-coaster radio interview binge to sell his candidates ahead of ANY election!
Normally, he always sat in the comfort of his mansion in Iloffa Road, GRA, Ilorin, dishing out vain instructions to his serfs and slaves, who always sat on the floor, or lower chairs, when he spoke!
Times have indeed changed for Bukola! He never visited any radio or TV station to campaign for anyone.
Also, during the stage-managed radio interviews today, listeners were prevented from dialing-in, but the moderator only read some pre-sampled text messages from the lines of their stooges and supporters. If he had mistakenly allowed listeners to phone-in, he would have received the result of the negative electoral referendum that awaits him and his army of stooges in February and March 2019 in Kwara State!
Anyone who resides, or have relations, in Kwara, especially in Ilorin, but who is still deceiving Bukola Saraki regarding his political fortunes in 2019, must be wicked! People who know nothing about the current politics of Kwara, especially on social media, are ignorantly urging him on- people who are based in Abuja, Lagos, etc.
The man deviated from his father’s approach to politics. Kwarans are now awake; irretrievably awake for that matter!
The political end of Bukola Saraki is nigh! The funny thing about Nigerians are.... 1) Some silly Nigerians are aching for the dismantling of the "Saraki dynasty" (which is not a bad idea, really) while at the same advocating for the extension of the "Tinubu" dynasty, who has short changed and robbed Lagos blind 2) People supporting Buhari should sell his candidacy to Nigerians, instead of that, they are always on the case of the opposition candidate. What you have done in the last 4 years should be enough to sell you, not all these pettiness and hiring minions, paying them 30k to spam the internet 3)Some Nigerians are even advocating for "rigging" so that their perverted candidate win No respect for democratic process again This $hithole country is FINISHED with this prevalent mentality |
Career › Re: Should I Drop Out Of School And Concentrate On Business? by Ugosample(m): 2:36pm On Dec 25, 2018 |
Oluwapresley: I'm only going to comment on this because most of the guys that commented on the first page didn't really do justice to the question.
It's sad when one is in need of a piece of advice that can change his life for good and from a vast majority, he can't seem to get a honest and also effective idea.
So, to your dilemma. Who says you can't do the two at the same time? One thing people fail to realize is that a tertiary institution and its environs provides a very large market for business people. I schooled in Obafemi Awolowo University and the average population every session was put at 35, 000 people! Notice I said average. That's for crying out loud, a very large market for any smart business minded person!
I doubt you would be directly linked to a market as large as that from a shop wherever you wanna set your shop up, well except you want to leverage on technology. With a market size of 35,000 people and technology at your grasp, who says this number can't increase?
That was OAU. I have heard of schools with far far higher average population.
So, think. Why can't you stay in school and set up a thriving business in school? I know of guys that made it for life through businesses in school.
The woli arole everyone is talking about today never dropped out from school. He is a bona fide graduate of OAU and he did MC on campus which set him up towards the right direction.
Chinko Ekun never dropped out of school. I still rem when the news was everywhere that Olamide wouldn't sign him if he didn't drop out from school. Olamide later signed him. Today, he is a graduate and he got signed on campus. All of these was even before the Olamide ish. How bout guys that did buying and selling? In one hostel in your school, you are directly linked to at least 2000 people that can patronize you.
So my question, instead of throwing one away to get another, why not take both in both hands?
Education is key! The fact that you haven't dropped out already shows u still think it is key and you don't want to lose at the end of the day.
Think. You can start up a great business in school there. You have spoken.well |

OkaNaUbe:

I have a B.Sc but I am a business man. You should have listened to your uncle. He is educated and knows that there are no jobs. Education is expensive. Education may not make you rich but doing a legitimate and profitable business will.
Even me that has a 2:1, my certificate is in my bag. Education gives us an edge and when the opportunity comes, you are prepared but you can have the best of the two worlds.
If you had continued and started your business, you can take a part-time course in any school of your choice. I know many people who have done it.
Since you are in 200L, I would advice you to stick it out till the end. If you go back to business you will start from square one.
The salary range of an average graduate(those that have a paid job) is:
Salary Range ----------------- % of graduates 25-50000 --------;- 70-75% (most fresh graduates)
50,000-100000 -------------- 10-15% (experienced)
100000- 150,000 -------------6% -10% (managers)
150,000- 250,000 --------------5% -7% (more experience, qualification, man-know-man, God's grace)
250,000 and above ------------ 5% or less (more experience, qualification, man-know-man, God's grace)
But as a business man, you can make any of the salary ranges with your freedom, no queries, no shouting, no sack, etc. A business man may not make sales for a month but a day sales profit can fetch you seven months (or so) salary of someone. you have a point a solid point. |

Jobs/Vacancies › Re: Life Savings Of 250k by Ugosample(m): 11:42am On Dec 25, 2018 |
BillGoldberg: First and foremost, do not contact anybody from this site or drop your email or phone number. Most Nigerians are hungry animals and will rip you off that 250k you saved already! You have been warned. Simply go through advices and pick the ones that best suit your life.
As an aside, Please do not pay any stuppid tithe neither should you buy any stuppid Keke. Keke Business is almost saturated and you will be harassed on a daily by touts and passengers!
You have some options now. Two of the answers are already here.
First and foremost, why not open a lesson centre from the money you have already? You can even teach adults as per adult education. You can also teach a large number of your school pupils as per afternoon lessons.
Go and learn barbing in your area ASAP! Relocate to a low cost city like Onitsha or Ibadan and open a Salon! With a Salon, you have solved two problems. Housing and Salary because you will also be sleeping there. That means that rent is off the case. Wake up early morning and baff somewhere. Find a way to shitt and also feed. It mustn't be Onitsha. Lagos is ok too. But why I didn't mention it is because unless you have someone or a relative in Lagos... You may suffer accommodation issues! I swear.
Another great option is to learn driving ASAP! Find someone to teach you expert driving because the cities you will be driving in requires such. Also start processin drivers licence immediately if you dont have one! When you are done learning, come to Naira land here and request for a car. Pray to God to find a good partner who may also give you temporary accomodation in Lagos! Sign up on Uber and Taxify and start driving! You will be seeing your daily feeding money at least! Thats it.
The third option is for you to start clothes business with some money you saved. Mind you, don't invest all. Come to Onitsha with like 80-100k. Buy cheap okirika clothes and start selling in schools around you! With the said amount above, You can buy clothes that will fill 7-8 Onions bags. You can also buy cheap party china wears. From your description, you seem to stay in an area not too developed. So I guess, they wont know the difference. Carry your clothes around and sell in schools, universities and colleges of educations. Also go around school hostels shouting "Things For Sell". It pays a lot.
Fifth and Final option is use some part of the money and buy a laptop if you don't have one already. Start Yahoo Yahoo! It maybe long before you pick but if Satan is on your side, a good maga will change your story forever. I don't want to say God because God does not like evil! Am just being realistic bro. (PS: This is a joke and just for fun. I dont and will never support this.)
But never ever go for masters! Its useless. There is little or no white collar job in Nigeria now. The few available ones either pay peanuts or the high paying ones need connection to get! Don't learn any useless computer skills! You may remain hungry Don't become a Keke driver! You will suffer! Think big and become big! This is the best advice here..... Nothing to add |
