aresa: very much the reason why the hypocrite should exclude himself and step aside for Young Nigerians to take over from him since he was and still part of the same old corrupt elites and he himself was part of the 16 years PDP administration that wrecked Nigeria, that stole and shared our money, that kept us in darkness by stealing our $20 billion power funds.
If his really honest and cares about Nigeria, should be speaking up against the evil perpetrated by him and his party against Nigerians.
Of what relevance is the mentally warped messenger who advocated for Nigerian youths to be allowed to rule Nigeria while refusing to step aside for youths in his own state to take over from him, but instead turned around and blame the Nigerian youths for wrecking Nigeria because they support foreign soccer teams.
The man is a nuisance and a first class lying hypocrite.. Sharap there. When did Bruce Join politics/PDP? Umu ndi ara togha ashi |

Jodesky: OP
I'm puzzled by your travel time......... From 9.25am to 12am the next day?. That's some 15hours on the road.
That must have taken the shine off the pleasure of travelling by road for a trip of just 40mins by air. ...
I returned from Ghana to Nigeria once and we arrived Mile2 by 8pm having left Ghana 7am which l still found stressful considering that the distance is less than 350km. Should ordinarily take less than five hours if not for those overzealous immigration pests.
A lot needs to be done by ECOWAS leaders to boost regional cohesion and trade.... I agree 100 % The journey is just annoying |
Business › Re: Naira Falls To N370 Per Dollar by Ugosample(m): 10:56pm On Feb 18, 2016 |
4Play: This is part of the story but not the full story. At the heart of the problem is dollar inflow into Nigeria. Oil exports are a major source of dollar inflow and so a fall in oil prices reduces dollar inflow. However, dollar inflow may also come from foreign investors attracted by an improved business climate or even corrupt loot being repatriated.
The pace of Naira's collapse is not simply an oil story but it is a reflection of souring investor confidence in Nigeria both in terms of the policy direction, or more aptly the lack of policies, and a rapidly deteriorating business environment. I have also noticed from speaking to Nigerians that many are looking for a way to get money out of the country to hedge their Naira savings in a foreign currency. So not only are fewer dollars coming in but we are experiencing capital flight.
For years I used to try to drum it into people's heads that Nigeria's economic underdevelopment is not simply a corruption issue. Our poor choice of policies is a more significant factor than corruption. If you have a regime that reduces corruption by $2bn but causes capital flight of $10bn you have not gained anything. The reason why Nigerians like to reduce our problems to the single issue of corruption is that we are a people with a religious mindset and an affinity for simplified moral narratives. Economics is a very complex subject and Nigerians struggle with complexity. Better to construct simplistic narratives based on a foundation of ethnic/religious loyalties and hatreds - Hausa/Fulani Muslim oligarchy v IPOB/Ibo conspiracy - than to tackle the headache inducing complexities of the modern world. You are wise |

veraponpo: Foolishness is when Fayose complains about Buhari but was supporting Jonathan who:
1. Borrowed to pay salaries when oil was still over $65/barrel
2. Borrowed when Nigeria was selling more than 2 millions barrel of crude daily
3. Could not manage surplus but wasted our resources
4. squandered all our reserves that Obasanjo saved and left power when reserve was $28b from $45b
5. could not save anything in the reserve when oil was sold for $120/barrel
Fayose should blame himself and his PDP members not Buhari :
Who has not borrowed to pay salaries
Who has been fighting insurgency with focus and strategies (and he is winning)
Whose first fiscal year has not started (budget is yet to be passed into law)
who has restored our confidence in international community
Fayose should just tell us what he has achieved for almost 2 years in power. The last time I checked, Fayose was in Akwa Ibom, Ebonyi, Abuja, Rivers, etc within 7 days wearing Ojuju Calabar's constume to Abakaliki just 2 days ago. He should stay in Ekiti and build the economy of Ekiti too. You think you made sense with that rubbish you wrote up there? okay, look The expenditure ballooned under Jonathan because in part, the minimum wage was increased to 18000 (increase in salary across board,) Increase in NYSC allowance from 7500 to 19800, and many other things (I'm too tired to type long story) All the facts have to be stated |

I bet she would have been grumbling for months about it. When a sibling takes a wrong step in his other sibling's life.. especially when it comes to marriage, the woman should try and make peace in between.. not holding onto grudges.. two wrongs can never make right. Now see what because I no attend wedding cause now? asuustrike2009: Diversification of the economy and encouragement of local production is the solution. Devaluation is an import economy causes inflation and this only affect the poor not rich. Diversification to multi economy would have make our economy stable even when the price of crude oil falls. But don't worry all hope isn't lost yet as we will learn from our mistakes as time goes. Though we fall 7 times ,we will rise up again and become stronger. Great nations of the world today passed through similar scenario that now people troop in and out Oga. I'm an economist myself, so I know all these. BUT! Nigeria must pay for its sins. That's the only way to learn. This two tiered currency regime is not sustainable at all. |

Can u withstand her when she starts her wahala? (Remember she's older than u & also an Officer) You don't even have any tangible source of income at the moment yet you want to go into marriage. If eventually u marry her, can u take care of her kids & see them as yours? What will now happen when she bares children for you? * So many questions begging for answers. Don't rush into it Mr MAN. Think ahead, plan ahead & if the coast is clear then dive in straight ahead.

Nigerians with their mindsets filled with cobwebs.
Their reasoning baffles me. *frowns* Well back to the matter. Whatever choice you make, you have to live with the consequences of such choice. That said, there are two issues here
1) She is older than you, and 2) She has two kids.
Now, my opinion would have been go for it if the issue on ground was just (1) but with (1) and (2), !that complicates things So what I'll advice is to think critically about it, pray about it and weigh all the pros and cons you think this union can pose.
If you think you can live with the consequences of it, then go for it. This is not a decision that should be taken with emotions though. Consider these factors dispassionately.

fsb: The simple truth is that the average nigerian is taught to cut corners and that reflects in everything we do whether it's in education, business, health care, government etc.
Aside cutting corners, we are also taught how to be selfish rather than selfless and that that is why every politician, civil servants, private employer or employee works not for the glory of the country but for the glory of his pocket alone.
I agree with the pilot, and with drbaby. Our problems as a nation stem from ideology ingrained in our minds as kids. If you raise a child with the notion that ibo people are bad or women from that tribe are prostitutes then all you you have succeeded in doing is transferring your small mindedness to your child and where 1,000,000 parents are teaching their kids such crap, what good can come from that generation? I agree 100 % |

This is one of the reasons people think it's ok to burn a suspected thief for stealing maggi. Don't get me wrong, I gave my kids a good asss wooping when they were younger.
