An average African American man has been to jail. I schooled in two states and during the course of my studies (STEM course) i can count the number of African American male in my classes. I attended a community college in a black city (Baltimore) way back and you barely see them in school. Immediately financial Aid refund is disbursed you won't see them again in school. Take away sport and entertainment and these guys cannot be associated with anything in America (liability).The same Nigeria you are insulting though we may not have the best educational system but we are years ahead more educated and knowledgeable than the so called African Americans even in their own country. Teach you how to build television? No sir. Technology transfer does not happen on a platter of gold anywhere in the world. Do you know the implication of that? They will simply destroy their market share in Nigeria and other African countries if they do that. What needs to be done is to set up technological research institutes and hubs that will begin to dismantle the existing ones and attempt to replicate the exact copy cats of the foreign ones. That is how great nations like Japan, Korea, China and Taiwan started before they became the giants that they are today. With consistent practice, we will become perfect.

It takes a lot of time, funding and energy to become a technological powerhouse. Nobody will reveal their technological secrets to you just like that.

You forgot to add that some are operating in a near comatose state with heavy debt burdens and very demanding circumstances.

It is only those who have never run a business that will complain about any organization that manages to pay her staff in this economy.

For your information, I know of a very visibly attractive IT company that takes an overdraft monthly on the 2nd day of each month just to effect their payroll. This has been ongoing since 2016. They barely break even but the promoters are working very hard to reposition things without showing any of the staff the door.

Again, try opening a provisions kiosk like the neighbourhood Aboki and pay salaries from the proceeds made for at least one year befre coming to complain about bad, wicked, irresponsible and insensitive employers.

Some boss are quick to debit but slow to make positive insentive available For job well done. No clear job describing or working hours. You can be kept overtime. But you are not to come late to work. Nigerians are really strong mentally, emotionally and physiologically.

Why should there be a body regulating how much salaries private companies pay their employees when there are no functional, active bodies regulating how government officials and office holders loot money meant for constructing good roads, steady electricity, water supply, national security, tax collection and proper utilization

Do you know how much tax private companies pay to Nigerian government and yet these useless government of Nigeria collect huge taxes from private companies and businesses and will never use the tax+crude oil revenue to build good roads, supply steady electricity and secure Nigeria and Nigerians.

Private companies hire private securities to protect their company and business properties, to escort their managerial staff members around town to avoid kidnapping or robbery, they even go to the extent of reconstructing roads leading to their company or factory premises that have been abandoned by government.

They use millions of naira to import power generators and they spend million monthly to buy fuel to power these giant generators so their factories and businesses can function, so why should the useless, failed, cursed Nigerian government have the right to regulate the amount of salaries they pay to their workers

If you don't like their pay, resign and go look for a government job!!!
